We came here on Christmas Eve with a reservation. Our reservation was supposed to be in the room with the wine wall, but they didn't seat us there. No big deal. I had the aperol spritz to drink and my sister ordered a berry drink that arrived with a gnat in it. We had to get up and take the bar to the drink to request a new one. Then to eat I had the caesar salad and clam chowder which arrived with no spoon. Also no big deal but after the food runner brought us our food, the waiter was nowhere to be seen for about 10 minutes for me to even be able to ask for a spoon. The food was not good. The salad dressing was watery and then the clam chowder was basically 90% potatoes and extremely bland. Would have been nice if the waiter had come back to check on us to see if we need anything (black pepper, etc). Lastly, we got our bill and they accidentally charged us $50 for an aperol spritz. The combination or bad food + poor service is a big no for me. Will not be back which is a shame because the restaurant is very pretty. read more

What an AMAZING dining experience! My Hubs and I invited our cousin out to an early dinner and my man my man my man picked a great spot. The service began as soon as you open the door with a loud hello and complimentary glass of Prosecco. We were seated quickly and asked for our drinks. I ordered a Coke but the Hubs ordered a Manhattan and he said it was good and strong. We were encouraged to try their crab hushpuppies and OMGOODNESS they were hot and good. Just needed more crab meat because crab meat was not inside the hushpuppies, just sprinkled on top. I came into town for some business, but always love coming home and catching up with friends and family too! My friend and I met at Granger's on last Sunday. I thought we were meeting for brunch, but they do not have brunch or any type of brunch drink options yet. Bummer. It was empty, with a few people sitting out on the patio. But, the place is dainty and cute. I can only imagine how it looks at night! 100% content worthy. When I (we) walked in, we were offered a tasting of Prosecco. I loved the glass it was in, and it tasted nice. They had a booth inside close to the bar reserved for us. We started off with drinks and appetizers. I ordered the expresso martini and the crawfish étouffée. The expresso martini was GREAT, the étouffée was seasoned well but on the salty side. I didn't eat it. We also had the crab hush puppies, and the truffle fries. The hush puppies were basically fried cornbread balls topped with crab meat. Fries were cool, but I would've preferred them to be thinner. Overall, seems like a nice place to go out to sometimes. My only complaints would be, the waitress spent a lot of time talking to a coworker at the bar that we were waiting in between items. Which I understand because of the lack of customers, but still be mindful. And the étouffée, I was so happy that the roux was nice and it had flavor but I couldn't eat more than 2-3 bites because of the salt. Obsessed!! Stopped in on a Tuesday evening for an intimate birthday dinner for 2. We were greeted at the door with glasses of chilled Prosecco and immediately seated. The overall layout and ambiance of the restaurant was so nice! For a Tuesday night obviously not crowded at all and the service was top tier. The food was delicious! We had quite the spread as we wanted to taste a lil bit of everything from salad, to pasta, to steak and crab cakes it was all delicious. 10/10 experience, nice for an intimate dinner or a girls night out! 4.5 stars. We came to Grangers for a special occasion dinner with my school and it was so lovely. Our server was so attentive and gave great service and when we wanted the music turned down the manager himself came and assisted us in the private room. It was also nice they had a curtain so it was truly private. The ambiance was so chic and comfortable. The food was great!! We started with the crab hush puppies which were a very nice hushpuppie with a great sauce I just wish there was a bit more crab inside. The calamari was good with another great sauce but I would have liked a bit more seasoning in the batter. And a charcuterie board which was very nice. For my main I got the scallops. I loved the slight balsamic glaze on the scallops with the creamy spinach underneath. Very yummy. The risotto could have had more depth of flavor but I did appreciate it wasn't too heavy. The asaparagus was just blanched and cool. We got three bottles of wine that were recommended by our server and very nice! I wish I had his name so I could give him a shoutout. We were handed on bottle of Prosecco upon arrival for a weekday lunch, very classy and hospitable not to start with. The decor is similar to many other eateries with plenty of wood surfaces and table tops and some unique wall art/paper that lends to the character of the space. Some party rooms separated by glass bookend with side of the dining area as well as a line of site into the kitchen. Concept feels very at home with the location in the museum district and if you're worried about parking there is a garage on the same block as the restaurant. Our service was top notch, present when needed and not overly intrusive into the conversation on going. She answered all of our questions, of which we certainly had plenty. Offered suggestions after asking about our tastes or allergies. We even had our hand shaken by the manger(owner?) on the way out, all this stuff is how you do small things to elevate a dining experience. Meal was fantastic! Oysters Rockefeller were plump and seasoned well, and likely some of the biggest oysters I've had in a good while. Beef tartare was simply presented, needed a vessel of bread something to help get it in to your mouth easier, but works well as a salad too. Chimichurri Steak Frites was cooked to order and the French fries were addictive. I wish I would've had room to delete all them, but perfect texture and flavor nonetheless. Brussel Sprouts had a sweet but refreshing note to them and are in line with what you'd expect to get at high quality steakhouses. Topped off our meal with a bread pudding, that had a fancier name though I'm not able to remember it right now. Amazing stuff here though, fresh fruit and caramel sauce over the pudding that has bread that maintains its structure and has melty and chewy bits all at once. Me and my two friends had reservations because it was our first time there and it being a Saturday early evening, we wanted to make sure the three of us could sit. No problems there , as it was still not crowded at 6:30. Front of the house is excellent, very friendly and inviting. That was a good thing because our waiter was not as attentive and seemed a bit aloof, but our food was very good! Nothing missed that we ordered, as we tried each others food, But if I had to pick a standout, the crab hush puppies and bread pudding are must haves!!! I was passing by and saw this place was new and had happy hour, so decided to check it out. The bartender mentioned they have only been open for about a month. Upon entertaining, the first thing I notice is the ambiance and decor -- it gives a casually elegant vibe. At the time of this review, there is no physical happy hour menu. The bartender graciously provided the happy hour offerings verbally. The bar bites included individual servings of: Oysters on the half shell ($2 per oyster) Jalapeño shooters Shrimp cocktail Hush puppies Cowboy slider Food wise, everything is $5 and under (but remember, individual servings) Alcohol and wine: Draft beer $2 off $1 off all wines I was warmly greeted by the hostess and proceeded to sit at the bar. There was one other person at the bar but it took about 10 min for the bartender to acknowledge me. To be fair, maybe she thought I was here for an interview but I am fresh from work. This restaurant is new so with all new establishments, I try to give grace to work things out. I tried the slider and hush puppy. Slider was delicious. Early Father's Day dinner at Grangers! This is a newer resturant off Binz so you know the parking situation- 10.00 valet or street parking. Since it was a weekday after 6, street parking was free. This is not a turn up spot.. just nice resturant. When we walked in we were greeted with prosecco... very strong prosecco . Our waitress suggested the side pear which was their version of the side car and it was pretty good and strong to me. We ordered the Thai wings and they were sooooo good. We tore them up! Darrell got the steak and crab cakes and he was in heaven! Apparently they are known for their steaks. The crab cakes are small but its real crab cakes..none of that breading. I tasted the steak and that butter and it was really good. I ordered the redfish pontchatrain and it was really good as well. Dropped off in front by a drive-share car, we entered through the main entrance on the patio. We were greeted by two nice hosts who offered complimentary Prosecco before leading us to our "couples corner" booth. JuJu was a great server who answered all of our questions and more. We came here for Mother's Day. There is a valet service out front but they just park your car on the street since it was a Sunday I just parked for free on the street and walked. This restaurant was recommended by my sister who had previously been here. I will add once we walked in. We did not receive a complementary champagne they offer so we requested some brought to our table took a minute, but it happened eventually for our appetizers, we ordered the campechana and crab cake hush puppies which were both delicious! I wish there was more crab actually inside the hush puppies, but it appeared nicely with a cream sauce and crab meat on top. We all ordered something different for our entrées. I had the strip steak frites in which I got my steak cooked medium, but it came out, more, medium rare. The truffle fries were my favorite part, especially with aïoli dip. My mom got the pan scallops which pair deliciously with the risotto. My sister ordered the prime house steak meatloaf, which was very tender and the mashed potatoes were delicious. The others ordered drinks which didn't come out the correct way at first so they had to send back the side pear before they finally got it right it was more lemon than pear. The Georgia O peach was loved by my mother it is a mocktail a little on the pricey side I don't believe in mock tails as it was just a blended smoothie for $10. For dessert, we ordered the pecan pie and crème brûlée no complaints there! Both were great. I will add since it was Mother's Day, they charged a large party fee even though it's not a large party the reason was it was Mother's Day. I would like to come back to try this restaurant regular menu as they had a specific menu since it was a holiday. Maurilio what our server he wasn't that attentive as we had to ask the actual manager/owner for items we had previously asked our waiter for and he just didn't bring. Grangers We got the crispy calamari and it was indeed very crispy. It comes with a sweet chili sauce and it was amazing. For cocktails, I got the garden stroll and it was very balanced not too sweet and not too boozy. The pesto pasta was amazing. Really good portions on all the foods. They did forget the Brussel sprouts that one of my friends ordered. Later, I tried the hummingbird Collin's and was stronger than the garden stroll but still really great. It is a nice place but service has been VERY substandard for all 5 of our bar visits, & this time was no exception. There could not have been more than 10 customers in the entire place at 4:00PM but it still took 40 minutes for our happy hour orders to arrive, & waiting this long for a 3" diameter slider that costs $7 will certainly make us skip a 6th visit. One couple sitting in a booth near the bar actually approached the bar & said they were going to leave if their order was not ready because they had already been waiting almost an hour. On each visit we have watched LOTS of chit/chat going on around the bar among LOTS of employees, but it does NOT translate into service. This time we saw yet another person who appeared to be in management wandering around not doing much, while service was NON-existent. Fix this management mess & improve service levels to match the quality of the facility itself. read more

We stood in the entry way for 10 minutes and got passed up by several staff members, stared at by the bartender and were never acknowledged or greeted. I understand it was near closing time but that shouldn't affect the quality of service. The restaurant was also not busy at the time.
