    Small veggie delight cold sub

My love and I were in search of nourishment to fortify us before a later showing of Nosferatu (2024) recently, so he popped onto the yelp Machine to see what he could find near the trusty Greenback cinema. This place popped up and away we went. It's a sort of hut situation in the middle of a sloped parking lot, but not hard to find. A bit shabby but clean inside, with a handful of booths and a take out counter. There wasn't a whole lot on the menu (not sure if vegan friendly) to excite a hungry vegetarian, but I did not mind as I wanted him to pick. I wasn't sure what I was about to subject him to visually. I mean, I was pretty sure buuuuuut a lot changes in 100 years. We got a big order of fries to share, and I won't lie that was my favorite part. Lorge, Thicccc, crinkle-cut, well-cooked, well- seasoned french-fried pataters. Noice. My "small" veggie sandwich was decent, and plenty to eat for something labeled small. Veggies and provolone were fresh but the bread was meh. I would eat it again but wouldn't go out of my way for it. They have wangs, hot and cold sammiches, and many fried things including vegetables. Dave got something saucy on a bun that satisfied him. We also had some fountain drinkies. The lady working the register was kind and helpful as we regarded the menu for a few minutes before ordering. There was only one of her, and at least one person cooking, while a couple other customers were in the store, yet we only waited ten minutes for our food. A well-timed pre-movie visit for foodstuffs. I would come back to try the fried zucchini if I were in the area.

    Wings

Fresh wings and fries! Has the frying temperature just right to get the really crispy temperature and the wing flavors for garlic parm and lemon pepper are the best I've ever tasted! Also, Annie is the sweets person ever! She will take care of you really well!

Came here for the first time since living in the area for about six years. The food came out good and the gal that took the order was very nice. Will be coming back again. The inside of the restaurant was pretty nice and clean.

    Philly Cheesesteak

Not what I remember at all. I haven't had Granites in years and I know they have since got new owners but man was I let down. The Philly Cheesesteaks used to be loaded with steak and cheese sauce. Now they barely put any meat on and a slice of cheese. Way too much bread now with the small portion of meat. To make the old style sandwich you would have to do double meat and add the cheese sauce to it. Making it probably a $30+ Philly Cheesesteak. For 2 sandwiches, 2 fries, and 2 drinks it was $40... It was also 90 degrees today and they had the a/c shut off every 5min for about 10min and had portable fans blowing hot air, not a comfortable dining experience either. The cheesesteak was just alright but I probably won't be coming back. I miss the old owners

We love ordering from Granite's. Their wings are always on point. We got the Garlic Parmesan wings, steak combo sub, curly fries, regular fries, and Pastrami sub. Annie is nice and attentive. I have always got to go and never dine in, but it is spacious inside. Has an 80s look with the leather booths. I know this is not the original owner. She told me it's been 3 years now.

Best wings in town! I've been coming here for years. Don't waste your time with the other wing joints, this is the real deal.

The employee was by himself today.. he took our order, cooked and served. Very impressive! We ordered the (medium) 10 pieces of wings. Honey butter style with the honey butter on the side. It came with daikon bites and some coleslaw. We also ordered 2 sides of rice to eat with our chicken. Chicken was on the drier side today but dipped in the honey butter made it still delicious. The rice was soft and semi sticky .. just the way I like my rice. The coleslaw was ok and the daikon bits were good. This is my go to fried chicken spot for when I'm near this area.

We waited about 20 minutes which was fine since we knew the chicken was fresh. When we got to our destination the food was still hot. Chicken was nicely cooked crisp and brown-maybe just a little over fried but tasty. The teokbokki was nice and fresh. It was just slightly spicy (probably could have been a little spicier for my taste) The French fries were the thinner type with green herb (parsley?) and not greasy. The restaurant itself is a walk up counter with a few tables. It was clean and near. Would definite want to return and try some of the other spicier selections.

The restaurant has a ton of seating and the walls are nicely decorated. I would say maybe add another mural on the other side because the one wall that has it, is beautiful! They have all these great hot sauces at the counter, make sure you try them all! My fave was the scotch bonnet pepper sauce. Spicy and a tiny sweet. We ordered two beers on draft, the jerk chicken, curry goat with a side of mac and dumplings. The dumplings are almost donut hole type bites with a hint of sweetness. It goes so well with the curry! The goat curry was interestingly delicious. I didn't think I would like goat - but here I am. It was very VERY good, just look out for all the little bones. The jerk chicken was flavorful and tasty and the side of mac n cheese was the perfect blend of noodles, cheese and spices with the meats. I also want to thank them for the delicious Jamaican patty filled with beef that was given to us. It was very good and the puff pastry was baked to perfection! Our server was great and the cook/I think the owner was wonderful. This was our first time having Jamaican food and I will say, we will definitely be back and I've already recommended this place to a few people. YUM!!!!
