Bought a used truck from here a few years back when I was young dumb and naive. I was so excited to have purchased my first vehicle that I didn't bother to double check the financing terms. After looking at the paper work a few years later I got completely ripped off. The financing was completely done wrong and I ended up financing WAY more than what was agreed to. It's literally FRAUD. I take responsibility for not paying more attention, but these guys took advantage of a young first time buyer and that's their whole game. Until recently, I really liked this place. No more, though. I got a call about 8 weeks ago telling me that my Jeep's airbags had been recalled. Fine - that happens. So, I scheduled a repair with them for a few weeks hence. They - not me - then called the day before to confirm. I got there the next day, as scheduled and confirmed, for a repair that was supposed to take 90 minutes. The day after that - a day and a half after I dropped off the car - they called to say that they did not have the parts for the repair - despite THEM calling me to tell me the repair was needed, and THEM picking that day for the work to be done. The service manager handled himself well, said he was sorry, and that the parts would be in the following week, and that they'd come get the car and return it after the repair. That was three weeks ago. When I didn't hear from the service manager (or anyone else) with an update as promised, I called today. After five - not an exaggeration - attempts to talk to a live, human person, the girl who finally answered said that the parts were still not in and were not expected until NEXT YEAR!! Remember, these are airbags we're talking about, not a cigar lighter or window visor. In any event, I told her to tell her boss(es) that I was happy to wait, but also that they better hope that my airbags do not fail in the meantime, since if they do, I would hold them civilly responsible. P.S. I'm this close (fingers very close together) to buying a new car for my wife's 50th birthday (which is today). Guess which store and brand I didn't even shop? P.S.S. They ask below if this place has "Gender Neutral Restrooms." What does that even mean? I learned in biology that people were either "men" or "women" - was there a memo I didn't get? Not once, not twice, not three, not four, count them 5 freaking times i have taken my jeep in and they have "repaired it" and taken my money. REVIEWS DO NOT LIE! I'm in from out of town visiting family and helped bring a vehicle in for an issue to the service department. If I would have read the reviews prior to dropping it off, I would have strongly advised finding somewhere else. I am always skeptical about dealerships but this 1 gave me immediate bad vibes! The guy immediately brought up the fact the vehicle was over 10 years old and made it seem like they didn't even want to touch it while also stating the OEM part would be hard to come by and they wouldn't do aftermarket. When we booked our appointment over the phone none of this was even mentioned. So the guy goes on to say he's not sure they can get the part but "We can do diagnostics, check everything else out on the car and even give it a wash if you like!" They know how to sound real good and friendly even though it's obvious they don't care 1 bit when you show up 3 days later, sit in service for about 20 minutes because "they're finishing up in the wash bay" just to see the car even dirtier than when you brought it in. I'm really wondering what we were even waiting on because the car was not cleaned 1 bit and seeing that made me wonder if they even did anything after we dropped it off. Oh and by the way, the quote we got for the part and labor was about $1300 more than what an aftermarket part and an hour of your own time would cost you! Out of respect for my family I kept my mouth shut while on location but this place stinks like the cheap cologne that plagued the entire building. read more

As I sit here on hold.. again.. trying to get a hold of the service manager I thought I would give a small review of this dealership. I took my 2000 jeep wrangler in to get some repairs done. the clutch was going out and so was the throw out bearings and flywheel. they replaced them all and within two months, my clutch was making noises. took it back in for them to Redo the throw out bearing. when I picked it up I get told they accidentally broke the door handle off and would replace it. I have yet to hear from them and have now called 3 times to follow up for a resolution. oh.. and BTW.. my throw out bearings are making noises again.. awesome. P.S. I had a bad experience at the service department waiting 9 hours for my vehicle to get an oil change and a recall done.spoke to the general manager about the situation he told me he'd make it a priority to get it done quickly. After he made that promise to me he made himself unavailable for the rest of the day to speak to me. Spoke with a few other managers but they were all so rude. So I sat patiently and waited my 9 hours. Couple days later I tried to reach out to the corporate office and because I did so they informed Chrysler that my business is no longer welcome at this dealership. Talk about retaliation this is how their ownership treats customers who have legitimate complaints. I'm a disabled combat veteran no longer welcomed at Grapevine Dodge. This place is a complete disaster. My malfunction indicator light came on, and I made an appointment online, which was meaningless since when I arrived there i was told it would be at least 2-3 days until anyone could even look at the car. FIVE DAYS (and no responses to my requests for an update) LATER it was finally assigned to a tech. They identified an issue with the thermostat, and also just happened to find an oil cap issue which would have cost an additional $2000. Never mind that I had just had the car serviced two months ago. By them no less. So I declined. They had my car in total for a week, and they had no rental cars to offer. The only thing this place has going for it is a very polite technician. Which doesn't come close to making up for the rest. Couldn't have had a worse experience. After driving 4.5 hours from San Antonio, after the deal was worked over the phone they added a $2000 "Grapevine Protection Coverage" to the price at signing. When inquiring what that was it was then explained to me that it is a required charge they put on all of their vehicles. Needless to say they wouldn't budge and me and my son drove back to SA. Instead of taking the time to explain the benefits and build a value, they just tried to sneak it in there. Not a good way of doing business, especially when we spent time and money driving out to Grapevine. Irony is I drove back to SA and made a better deal locally after explaining the nightmare experience at Grapevine Dodge. I also found out the "new" Jeep was a Demo and had 4K miles on it. The photos that were advertised showed 11 miles on it lol. I asked to speak to the GM and they wouldn't let me and wouldn't even give me his/her name. They said the ad showed the additional $2k increase for the Grapevine Protection coverage but they couldn't find where when I asked them...they said well it normally does. I look at the ad now one the price went from $43k up to $46k? I would have at least liked an apology or a gas card for the inconvenience. read more

TL;DR Version: Service department is terrible , untrustworthy, and looking for ways to get your money. Brought my car here 8 months ago for service. Got an oil change and tire rotation , then they said I needed a front wheel bearing replaced and a couple filters replaced ...about $1500 of work according to the quote . I said thank you, not today, and went on with my day. Brought my car back last week for another tire rotation and oil change. I asked them to look at front wheel bearing , and mentioned to look at the filters because I hadn't done anything since they told me they needed to be replaced . I waited about 2 hours , and then they gave me my keys and said "Everything's great, have a good day ". 1. I read the paperwork they handed me after they told me I was good... and it said I had a nail in my passenger side tire ... and they're not going to tell me anything other than have a good day ? Lol (Upon further looking it was on the driver side , do they even know the sides of the car ?!) 2. Asked them about the front wheel bearing, and filters ... - they said everything was fine . I must of had a $1500 miracle somewhere over the last 8 months then... I don't trust their service department for my experience above , and for my fathers experience listed below : All in the same day: Gets inspection done on Jeep (not at dealership) , it passes. (Must beep horn to pass inspection). Same day, my father takes his jeep to the dealership for a recall, they work on it , somehow disconnect the horn , tell him it's broke , and try to get him to buy a new horn . IT CLEARLY WORKED HOURS BEFORE THIS TO PASS INSPECTION. Luckily after some arguing and proof of paperwork showing the inspection date and time dealership took fault and fixed their mistake , but this could have happened to anyone , and they would have been duped into buying new parts. read more

We called to make a service appointment and they said it would be 2 weeks to see our car. So, we made the appointment for 2 weeks. Took it in on our appointment day @ 8:00 am and they said it may not get looked at for a few days. Why make an appointment. Talked to the service manager and he said he would try. Left it, never got a call for 4 days. Called, said they will call us back in 2 days, never looked at the car again. After that, said leave car because if you pick it up you will go back to the back of the line. So, we left it, it is now 8 days and no one has looked at the car. Got a text from service advisor to just pick up the car but they won't look at it. We have purchased this Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Dodge Limited very expensive truck. Never have I heard of this as being a "service appointment". They should, at the very least, not make the appointment unless they are going to see the car. Now, the manager told us they took it out of the line and will not look at it. Horrible communication, horrible NO SERVICE. Responded to a website price for a 2016 Wrangler Unlimited, it was a good price and in line with what TrueCar offered, so it was a decent deal. I set up an appointment with the online sales director, Audrey. When I arrived she turned me over to Chuck, sales associate. Nice enough guy. I'll abbreivate the story here: This is where it got shifty, they were very vague about finance offers, then Chuck strongly swayed me against paying cash (said they make their $ off financing), then the kicker, after 3 hours in the dealership, they added another $1900 to theprice (over the onine price) and slipped it in when I got to finance manager. When I noticed it, the finance manager said it was very common and the internet price was NOT the price. I showed him on my phone the price, and he still said it was not the price. Unbelievable. I wish I would have looked at Yelp before going. Do your homework, this dealership is very very "car dealership-y" and the reason why most people dislike car dealers. Worst experience I've ever had. Purchases a Dodge Journey from them and it's had issue after issue. Check engine light came on two weeks into ownership. Matters got worst when I had to take it into their joke of a service department. They can never fully fix any issue because they don't not address surface problem and never dig into what's causing it. Three weeks after getting it back from service it had to go back in for the same issue. My service terry was extremely rude, made promises he couldn't keep. After 5 days of being told it was going to get worked on " the next day" I finally realized they did not even have the part. I had to come pick up my vehicle and wait on parts. I had to come to the dealership and watch as terry tosses things in his desk as he was asked to anything by coworkers. After getting no where with terry I had to speak with Chris Woodson the service manager who was extremely combative when asked directed questions. This place is a joke. I can't remember the last time I left a negative review for a company, I prefer to provide only positive feedback, but in this case I felt it was necessary to warn others before they invest an afternoon at Grapevine DCJ. I would advise staying far away from Grapevine DCJ. Outside of the sales person (Leo) being a nice guy and knowledgeable on the vehicle, the entire experience was a cluster. The negotiation process is absolutely ridiculous and bordering on insane. Somebody tell these guys it's 2019 and car buyers don't want tricks and buffoonery when purchasing a new car. They lure you in with good internet prices, gain your interest in a vehicle, have you invest the time, and then when you sit down to negotiate on price they hit you with $1,988 in dealer add-on's!!!! By the way, the dealer add-on's are not negotiable, even if they aren't on the vehicle yet (which was true in my case-fresh off the truck vehicle). They just hope you are emotionally invested so much that you will just give-in and pay them the $1,988 for a bunch of garbage. They will low-ball you on your trade-in value. When I presented Jay (New Car Finance Director) with a much higher trade-in quote from another dealer, he made excuses as to why the other dealers much higher quote was not valid. If they concede in one area of price negotiation (which they did ever so slightly on trade-in), they turn around and raise the price in another, like you won't notice. It is just a bunch of games. Of course when I walked on the deal, I was told there is some other mystery person who is coming in to buy the vehicle tomorrow. How can I believe anything this dealership says? One other oddity, Jay told me they don't use Chrysler Financing, I find this weird for a Chrysler Dealership. I had a verbal agreement for a remote purchase (40 miles across town) at $500 a month if I agreed to do it today. I agreed, then they could not perform a remote transaction. After I raised my concern to their mgmt, not only could they not deliver the vehicle, the price changed to $591 a month. Very disappointing experience in a pandemic. Living in Grapevine, I have tried to buy several vehicles over the last 5 years from Grapevine DCJ. Each time I was not impressed and purchased elsewhere. Saturday I was headed to Arlington to buy a Gladiator. At the last minute I pulled into Grapevine Jeep. What a different experience. The "Loss Leader" was on the lot, the "lowball" price was legitimate and the salesman (Daniel Freeman) was polite, professional and a pleasure to work with. Once the deal was struck, I expected the "Add one" pressure to drop once I went into the business office. Aaron was also a pro and respected my time and requirements. Horrible Service Dept. Had my Ram truck in for an oil change. Took 2 hours for an "express" oil change. Got home, checked the oil level to make sure it was ok, and it was at least a quart low. Took it back to see if they neglected to tighten everything up, and they said that they just didn't put enough in. Never said sorry, didn't offer anything in compensation for the hassle or my time. I would expect this at a quick oil change place, but not at the dealer where they must do 30+ Ram oil changes a day. Another time my wife had her Jeep in for an oil change and their "complimentary inspection" showed an oil leak that they offered to diagnose for $180. There has never been a drop of oil on the garage floor from that Jeep, and hasn't been since. This dealership is just an old school clip joint. Stay away. read more

I don't think that I would ever choose to do business with this dealership after learning that they were all too happy to take a car in for trade when it was still titled in someone else's name - and NO attempt was made to contact the owner of the title and ensure that the trade was known and desired (it wasn't). I understand that it isn't unusual for a trade-in to be held by other than the buyer, but there is a responsibility to make sure that the owner is aware. The salesman had told the prospective buyer that "it wouldn't be a problem to trade it" AFTER learning the person representing the deal had NO right, title, or permission to sell or trade the car. Well, we've had three experiences at this dealership. One was godawful, one was pretty decent, and one was right in the middle of the other two. This dealership seems to have a lot of turnover with their salespeople and two of the salespeople we've worked with were brand new and had maybe sold one or two cars in their whole life. The third time we went in, we asked to work with a manager but he put us right back in the hands of the novice salesperson. One thing that has been consistent with all the people we've worked with is the use of those slimy car salesman gimmicks, like starting with a huge down payment request and an absurd monthly payment so it will seem like they've worked miracles when they pull the prices down. Or making you sign imaginary contracts - "Sign here to show that if I can get the price down, you will buy the car." What is that?? Do people really feel obligated after signing a line a salesperson just drew on the back of a piece of paper?? If it were up to me, we wouldn't do business with this dealership (and the best experience we had here was when I was looking to buy a truck, but I still had much better experiences and bought my truck elsewhere). For better or worse, my husband is a Challenger man and this is the nearest dealership. For my part, I'm still trying to convince him to make the trek to some neighboring Dodge dealerships. I received an email back a few minutes later from Melissa Ventimiglia, the Internet Manager, informing me that yes the car is still on the lot and asked if I'd like to come to the lot to see it. I wrote back that I will be there in an hour, so during rush hour traffic, I drove from Garland to Grapevine. When I got there, the sales person standing out front, informed me that the car had been sold yesterday and that Melissa Ventimiglia isn't even working today. I took my JL Wrangler in to Grapevine Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep to get a steering recall fixed. Supposedly, they fixed that. I also mentioned when it is below 40 degrees, and at highway speed, the steering only gives 2-3" of steering before it feels like it hits the post. This feels very dangerous. It felt like something was going to break if I forced it past that spot. I looked online and found others who had experienced the same issue. The dealership called back, and said they fixed the steering recall issue but were unable to reproduce the cold weather steering issue. I picked it up the next morning, when it was 20 degrees, and it was doing it again. There were very few people there at the time, so I went back the following morning when it was again in the 20's. I asked for someone to ride with me to see what it was doing. The tech who fixed the steering recall issue was brought out. Before we got on the highway, he told me to pull over to the side. His response to the cold steering issue was to turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, then right 5 times. (Not a solution). He said it was because moisture was getting inside, and when it is cold, it freezes, and causes the blockage. Turning the steering wheel post to post a few times clears that out. Yes, it prevented the issue on that morning. But I'm not going to do that every day before I drive my Jeep. That's just stupid. After driving it over 1000 miles on vacation (including 80+ mph on the highway, and some off-roading), I installed a bull bar. As soon as I pulled the splash guard off to start the install, I noticed the sway bar link on the driver's side just hanging loose. It had obviously been removed when it was being serviced for the recall, and never re-attached. I set up an appointment for them to fix this, and was told my the service advisor that "Yeah, looks like that came loose." Came loose? No. It was taken off, and never re-attached. There would not be a loaner available for another week. I asked if it would be quick to fix, and I could just wait. "No. That's not a quick fix." I know I could do it, and will this afternoon. I don't have the nice tools and setup they do. I told them I would leave, and let them know if I could bring it in later. "Be careful, and don't make any quick or sharp turns." Really? It's a shame that they obviously don't care about their customers. A brand new Jeep has work done by someone who tells a customer to "turn the wheel all the way to the left and right" to fix a dangerous issue. He removes the sway bar link, and just doesn't re-attach it. And the service advisor thinks it just "came loose". 1. A dangerous steering issue is just ignored. "Just turn it all the way to the left....." 2. A part is disconnected and left loose. Potentially a huge safety issue. 3. "Looks like that came loose." Even though I told him it was done when it was in for service (at their dealership). 4. Be careful driving the vehicle. It could be dangerous. And we could fix it in a few minutes, but, no. You have to leave it for days, and we don't have a loaner available. read more

I'm several months late on this review. I leased my vehicle beginning of August 2017 i believe. Probably the worse experience i've ever had at a dealership. The sales guy, Thomas Whitehead was cool....that's about it. Management was non existent. Actually, the manager was arguing with his wife on the phone the whole 1.5 hours i was there waiting for financing. It was pretty unbelievable. They were supposed to payoff my previous lease, but after numerous calls i found out i was lied to and a check was never issued to the lender of my previous vehicle. Over a month after signing the deal i was finally told the truth (from new management) and they issued me a check so that i could pay off the remainder of my old lease. I love the Durango i leased, but i will never bring it to the grapevine location for anything... And i'll never purchase/lease another vehicle from that place. I'm not going to go in to depth with every issue..i don't have the time to type a novel.. However, when i was finally issued a check, i did find out they fired half the employees there... So maybe things will improve for future buyers. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. From the minute we walked into the dealership it was a horrible experience. To start from the beginning I had pre-approved financing from Capital One. When I got the pre-approval Capital One send me an email with several Rams for sale in the area. One was from Grapevine Dodge. A few minutes after getting the email a woman called from the dealership. I asked her if the truck was still available and if it was still the price listed on the email. She said yes. The next day my husband and I go to the dealership. We are met by a salesman named Daniel. I show him the picture of the truck. He confirmed they still had it. I asked him twice if the price on the email was correct and twice he said yes. We start signing the paperwork and guess what??? The price is a lot more. Both Daniel and the finance guy say it's because we didn't use Chrysler Capital for financing. Daniel knew right from the beginning we were using Capital One. I was more than willing to just walk out and go to AutoNation but my husband agreed to buy it if they did a free bedliner when they were putting on the running boards we were paying for. While we are signing everything Daniel leaves and comes back and says the running boards have been ordered and that the work will be done off-site a couple miles down the road. We leave the dealership. A week later still no call about the running boards or bedliner so I called the dealership. Called Daniel 4 times. He never returned my calls. So I asked to speak to a sales manager no one answers. So I asked to speak to a dealership manager. No one answers again. Finally the next day Daniel says to bring the truck in. I don't believe he ordered the running boards when he claimed. My husband deals with autoparts daily for his job and knows the turn around time when parts are ordered. So my husband drops the truck off. I told him to take a picture of the mileage. It took them 8 days to do a spray in bedliner and add running boards. Day 7 i started calling. Again no one answers their phone. Finally I call the service department. The guy I spoke with told me the names of the shops that do the work for them. I call both places neither one has my truck. I asked both places how long does it take to get a spray in bedliner done. Both guys told me that the vehicle is in and out the same day. Finally Daniel calls on day 8. My husband goes and picks it up. He takes a picture of the mileage again. 66 miles have been added to my truck plus the radio antenna was bent. Daniel was off that day so my husband just came home. I told Daniel my complaints. He informed me that the truck went to two different shops he never said it was going to two different shops. He told me to bring it back and they would change the antenna. I bringing it in for the new antenna and he turns into the biggest dick I've ever dealt with. He informed me rudely that they couldn't have bent the antenna they don't have a car wash. I told him to ask the person who ran the truck all over the state then because we sure as hell didn't do it. He changed it by taking an antenna off a vehicle that looked used. He puts the antenna on and rudely says enjoy it. This is the 4th Ram we have bought and it won't be the last Ram or Dodge product we buy. It sure as hell will be the last one bought from here. No one in this dealership cares about customer service except for Margo the receptionist. She was very sweet. The rest of them, from their lack of response obviously could care less if you're a customer or not. read more

Jeep was listed at $35k. Goes up $1k for not financing with them. Offered us $8500 less for our trade in than two other dealerships had. Said we were upside down which was the first dealership to try that mess. Also said we had "lots of wrecks on our Carfax" which wasn't true and they wouldn't show it to us. Added $5k in fees from certification to dealership fees. We were told that was for tinting the windows, detailing and such. Are you kidding me? We couldn't get out of there fast enough. My compass broke down last week to where it was not drivable. I had it towed to this dealership, to begin with i had to wait almost four days before they'd be able to diagnose it and tell me what's wrong with it. I ended up speaking to Santiago the director of service who is extremely rude. To start he removed my vehicle from service because "i hung up on him. And claimed i stated I'd have the vehicle towed somewhere else my exact words were i didn't want to wait until Monday and would try to have the vehicle towed away before then i never got the chance to. Come Monday i called to get some feedback about my vehicle and I'm told they took it off the list because i was said i would have the tow truck come get it. I explained to Santiago i said i would TRY to have it towed before Monday i never said i for sure would have it towed. He was rude and talked over me the entire time when he finally put me back into the que i told him i felt i shouldn't have to wait he said it was my fault for being indecisive and i would wait. He spoke over me and talked down on me the entire time i spoke to him, he spoke to me as if i were a child and as if i were stupid. He is extremely rude but god forbid you return the same energy and he wants to have a power trip and remove your car from service. When i reached out to the dealership for the district managers contact information to file a complaint he again removed my vehicle from service and told me he wouldn't be servicing my vehicle at all causing me to have it towed yet again to the dealership i purchased it from. As always he was rude and talked to me as if he was better than i was. I took it to the dealership i originally purchased the vehicle from and they had it diagnosed the same day and repaired the next. Santiago thought blocking me on Facebook would silence me.. well guess what it didn't! He also lied to me to try and get more money out of me saying my vehicle was stalling cause it was low on oil, the dealership i had it towed to said they oil level is fine and thought it needs an oil change that wasn't the cause of the vehicle stalling. So all he's worried about is money not how he and his team treat customers! I'm not sure what his problem is but he definitely gives off bitch energy.. funny how he can be rude to customers and talk to them any kind of way but the minute they return that same energy he no longer wants to service their vehicles. Now the service manger Chris, That guy is the best he is super nice understanding and caring. Grapevine cdjr needs to fire Santiago's rude ass and give Chris a promotion he so rightfully deserves! The first time i took my vehicle in to be serviced and Chris helped me i never had an issue the minute Santiago's rude ass comes into the picture is when i decided to never again give this dealership my business as long as he is there! I know if Chris would have helped me he would've gotten another five star review from me. read more
