I love sitting and watching the bartenders work their magic with the drinks. The lounge is dark but not so dark you cannot see. It is very relaxing and tranquil actually. The drinks are amazing (I got a vodka martini, ice cold in the prettiest glass with blue cheese stuffed olives). The staff is amazing, very nice and made sure we were doing ok throughout our stay. I believe from 5 on they have live music (jazz) which was pretty cool as well. Plenty of seat whether at the bar or in one of the cozy seats surrounding the bar top. There is a selection of bites as well (but we had just eaten lunch so we'll need to go back to try stuff out). Drinks were tasty, they range depending on what you get (my martini was $20 and worth every penny). My Mom had the brambleberry and really enjoyed it. She said it was light and perfect after all the wondering around we did. Can't wait to go back.

While waiting I enjoyed a beer at the bar. The beer/liquor selection is pretty good but I opted for a beer. They also have happy hour but haven't had a chance to enjoy it. Thank you again for the service provided by Karin. My family greatly appreciates the kindness. We truly feel like we're treated as guests when we come. The Bistro is always very clean when we come which is nice. There is also a nice patio outside by the pool which is cool.

The am I lucky ($19) was refreshing and had similarities to a Moscow mule from the ginger beer. The fancy bird ($20) was balanced, refreshing, and tiki-like from the orgeat and lime. The scottish crossbill ($18) had strong notes of sesame and was more spirit forward. Overall the drinks were good and it's a nice place to stop for a break and a drink after walking around the area. Note that they validate parking if you spend the minimum amount.

It consists of a long bar which faces the lobby on one side, and the hotel's swimming pool on the other. Large windows can be opened to allow guests using the pool to order from that side of the bar. In addition to the bar, there are a few tables around the perimeter of the lobby side. If you take a vacant table, bar staff will come over to serve you. Because you're in the wide open spaces of the hotel's lobby, it can be noisy depending on what else is happening in the lobby area. The tables are more suggestive of a café than a restaurant. And if the pool side is open, you may get some noise from there if there are children splashing about. While the ambiance might be less than ideal for a quiet rendezvous, I have found the food and service to be generally very good. Two items I heartily recommend are the Citri Salad and the Monarch Burger. The citrus-based dressing and crispy prosciutto in the salad are really nice. And the burger was way better than average. Given the logistics, Citriculture may not be for everyone, but I'll be back whenever I'm staying here.

We'd knocked out a ride or two, my feet were already questioning every life decision that brought them to Disneyland, and somehow a michelada sounded less like a drink and more like medical treatment. Doctor's orders. If you've never had a michelada, do yourself a favor. It's basically a Bloody Mary that decided to loosen up and have a better personality. Bayside Brews is tucked away in Paradise Gardens Park, and it's dangerously convenient. You're strolling through Disney, minding your own business, and then... BAM... micheladas. It's almost unfair. Now, let's talk Disney economics for a second. You spend hundreds getting into the park. Another small fortune on Lightning Lanes. You accidentally buy popcorn because someone walked by with popcorn. At that point, a michelada doesn't even feel like spending money. It feels like financial closure. I was flying solo this trip, but I'd stopped here before with a buddy who appreciated a good drink as much as I do. This time it was just me, the California sunshine, and a cup that whispered, "You've earned this." Honestly, after surviving the first couple of rides, I wasn't about to argue. And yes... I still accidentally call it the Tower of Terror. I know it's Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT! now, but I'm old enough to remember when we had paper FastPasses and people weren't filming every bite of their churro. The michelada hit the spot, the service was quick, and the location couldn't be more convenient. I really enjoy going to Bayside Brews to grab a drink due to its unique themed drink offerings in addition to a variety of craft beers, ciders, and seasonal tap beer. There are other drink options available at Bayside Brews (such as several types of hard cider) in addition to specialty drinks, some of which may be limited to seasonal offerings. Overall, Bayside Brews is one of my top picks when I want to quickly grab a drink at California Adventure. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic view to take a break from the sun which makes it an ideal spot to recharge your batteries after riding some of the attractions.
