We arrived on a Sunday night & the restaurant was packed. Orders are placed at the counter, you're given a number for your table & food is brought out to you. There are a number of different types of burgers to choose from, plus a Chicken Club, Black Bean Burger, Grilled Cheese & BLT. They also have bowls & salads. Grassburger is 100% grass fed, with no herbicides, pesticides & artificial fertilizers. In addition, they have gluten-free buns, non dairy shakes & use avocado oil to fry the fries. I had the Cheddar Burger with a side order of fries. The burger was delicious, very fresh tasting. I liked the chipotle mayo & the brioche bun too. The fries were yummy as well, perfectly seasoned. Good portion sizes & reasonably priced. The staff were friendly & our food came out fast. There is also a small dining room with tables & chairs. This definitely is a place I'll return to next time I'm in Durango, CO. read more

The food was nothing special - I found it over-priced, but I chalked it up to being more healthy.... But service was terrible. Servers were rude to my family (two rolled their eyes at us). Long story short, all three of my kids ordered a side of ranch with their meal; none came and when we asked for it we were told, "you'll have to go to the counter for that and pay for it." We had already ordered it... so my wife and I went inside and asked a different server if we could get the ranch we had ordered, and he was quite short and asked our order number so he could verify. Then came back and told us that we had only paid for one (so apparently the person taking our order didn't get the order correct). Before he could give us any ranch, we'd have to go pay for it. So I went and ordered another ranch (paid .89 for it), stood and waited at least 90 seconds while that server was working on a shake and I finally said, "excuse me, but can I get the ranch?" He turned around and said, "someone will bring it to you." So I went and sat outside. No one ever brought the ranch. Look - it's not about the ranch - it's about the attitude of the servers. Rolling eyes, treating us like we were trying to steal or con you guys out of something. And then when I paid for it I never even got it. So now I'm not only over-paying for mediocre food but then I'm treated like trash and paying for something I don't even get. read more

I love grassburger. Recently it seems like the quality has been more consistent. Recommend toppings on side for pickup as then it doesn't lose form and veges get soaked on way home. Fries are yum, I'm a potato fan but the mixed are a good change. read more

The beef they use here is amazing. My wife and I split the green chili jack burger and it hit the spot! Not only the flavor of the burger seared and cooked to perfection, yet the fresh vegetables and presentation as well. The sweet potato fries are amazing as well, crunchy and soft on the inside. A wonderful experience in a very cozy atmosphere. The music isn't too loud it's a nice environment to eat and have a conversation. Last but not least the service was fantastic. The staff were so helpful in making the right choice, as Wel as letting my wife sample the vegan shake. I love places where the staff feel like friends. 10/10 experience! read more

Meh. Best part was the pumpkin spice milkshake. Fries were way too salty. Girl at counter rattled off a list of things if they were ok to put on the burger. I asked said girl if the chipotle mayo was spicy and she said it with absolutely certainty that it wasn't so I got it on all the burgers. When I got back to my hotel 4 min away I found the burgers were absolutely soaked in the mayo. Buns were soggy from it. I have a pretty high threshold for spicy food and it was fairly spicy for me and way too spicy for my kids (who were with me when I was ordering so the heads up could have been given about not getting it on theirs?). Overall, not really happy. My kids hated it and couldn't eat the majority of their burger. Maybe make a kids menu with no chipotle mayo on the burgers or something. read more

Not a sit down style restaurant. Just a few tables so I noticed folks getting orders to go and eating in their vehicles. Multiple types of burgers, bowls, fries and sweet potato fries. Orders were brought to the table fairly quickly. Three of us met for lunch and each ordered very different meals and each of us were very happy. Had an issue with service etal at Grass burger. Wrote a review and heard back. I am impressed that they took the time to look into the problem and try to rectify it. We will be back. Stood at the counter for several minutes with no evidence of an employee in the building. There were several patrons eating in the lobby. An employee came through the back door with his phone in his hand, then placed it in his pocket. We noticed at least one other employee sitting on a crate outside the back door that he had come from. He walked straight to the register and took our order without washing his hands. The other employee that had been sitting on the crate walked in to make our food and placed gloves on without washing her hands. After this, the regret set in.
