She needed the top left long and the rest trimmed. We know there can be awkward stages for different lengths, but this shouldn't have been a difficult cut. The gal started shaving the back which we never asked for. Were just trying to have a healthy grow out. Instead she made it look worse and she took off a ton of length. In the process she made my confident, 11yo daughter feel bad about her descision to have a pixie in the first place and ended up crying. read more

I really wanted to get a haircut after work on Thanksgiving eve and it was difficult to find a place that was open so I decided to take a chance with Great Clips since my hair style was pretty simple, a layered bob. I did a walk in and Jose was available so he took me to his chair right after checking in. He was very personable and I enjoyed our chat. He sprayed my hair wet and proceeded with cutting my hair, and was done in 20 minutes. They don't blow dry your hair so when I got home I had to blow dry it myself. I noticed a little bunch of hair on the side that got missed so I took a pair of scissors to snip it myself, not a big deal since it was just that part, everything else look good. I was told that since it's not a full service salon they don't do coloring or other services, so if you just need a simple haircut and nothing else then this can be an option. read more

Ivonne Estrada... Though I gave her one star on her rating, I would give her no stars if I could. I don't know how a person with customer experience could blatantly be as rude as this lady. From the other reviews I've read on here now, those reviews are not being dramatic at any level, because of the same service that I was recently given when my girlfriend came in for a haircut whom I was with. EXTREMELY rude, unprofessional, and lacked knowledge of how to treat a customer. She didn't even let her talk when she was asking how she wanted it cut, didn't suggest any styles either on top of that; Instead, began cutting her hair without a clear answer of what she wanted and ended up cutting it too short just by looking at the amount of hair that was on the floor. On top of that, she didn't do a thorough check if length of the hair was even across. Only time she tried being nice was when it was at the end, assuming just because she was about to get paid and hoping for a tip for what a terrible "hairstylist" Ivonne Estrada was if you can even say that. Left my girlfriend crying, not even knowing if she liked the haircut (because she failed to ask) with the lowest form of customer satisfaction you can have. All that for my my girlfriend to try to fight tears inside of great clips off of Telegraph Rd, and not even want to look at her hair because of how Ivonne Estrada cut it. Obviously management is just as guilty for being able to see these multiple negative reviews and I assume reports as well and decide to keep a staff like this one. It's apparent that great clips (6048 Telegraph Rd. Ventura, Ca. 93003) care about who they have cutting hair, or else they would have realized Ivonne Estrada should not be cutting hair. i got my hair cut here. the lady who cut my hair was an older lady still wearing a face mask in 2024. i don't know her name but she cut my hair. i asked for a skin fade and nothing cut off the top and she did an absolute HORRIBLE job. i know i shouldn't have gone here for a skin fade in the first place but she left me looking absolutely ridiculous. i had to go to an actual barber shop right after to get my hair somewhat fixed. absolutely horrible for someone who cuts hair for a living. i would not recommend coming here unless you want to risk looking ridiculous after. read more

Avoid Ivonne Estrada at ALL costs!!! Took my 3 year old autistic son in for a quick haircut. My son has sensory issues which cause him to fear the sound of clippers etc. They were being entirely rude when I asked to please sit with my son and help him stay calm while receiving his haircut. They told me he absolutely needed to sit in the booster seat on his own without crying while being able to hold his head up on his own. I then got told that making him get his haircut while he was hesitant and shedding tears was against his will and was a form of CHILD abuse. If you think you can just walk in for a cut THINK AGAIN. The last two times I tried to have my two grandson's hair cut I was told 30 min the first time. But no 1 1/2 later. At least 7 people walked in and out as we waited. I guess on-line goes first even if I have been waiting for an hour and a half. The second time I walked in before I could say anything I was told it's a 2 hour wait. There were only two people waiting at the time. I asked why and was told that people check in online and when they show up they are next. Its not an appointment at any certain time. Just means the are next no matter what time they show up. Doesn't matter if I sign in when I arrive. Who ever signs in online goes ahead of me. The fact that I only have my grandkids certain times that changes a lot it's hard to do online check in. I will not be returning to this place again. It takes 10 minutes to do my grandkids hair. I feel Great Clips should rethink the way they handle walk-in customers. Especially when the people working there are basically waiting around for people who signed in on-line and I'm sitting there with two young kids waiting. You suck at customer service.
