I received a text saying it would be 10 minutes for an empty restaurant. Once we were seated the woman at the front appeared to be having a bad day as she wasn't very friendly. We sat and looked at the menu. It took 15 minutes to be greeted to take our drink order. (Server was nice but timing was awful) Got our drinks and server walked away. Took another 15 to take our food order. Once we got our food it was good. Took another 20 to get our check when we were finished eating. Had to ask for the server to come check in on us. I would say overall for a newer restaurant training staff on proper timing is ideal. Especially when you have families coming in from disney paying a bunch of money for food. I loved Great Maple in Pasadena and am so sad that it's no longer there. While staying at Pixar Place, we dined here several times and every meal was delicious. We had breakfast twice and lunch once. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is pretty quick. The food is scrumptious. The pancakes are fluffy and definitely made with buttermilk. The burger and steak sandwich were flavorful and filling. The kids pancake was perfect for my daughter. I love that the staff is aware of how exhausted families might be after Disneyland. Great Maple Located at the Pixar Place Hotel, you can get to their own parking structure if you are coming from Katella up Disneyland Drive, pass the parking for downtown Disney, you will see another light to your left that is where to go. Mention at the gate you are dining at Great Maple and they will let you in. PRO TIP! Eating at Great Maple gets you a three hour validation, so you can eat and walk Downtown Disney and not have to pay the $10 parking at Downtown Disney. The restaurant itself is very spacious with outdoor seating as well. We went on a weekday so it wasn't too busy. We came for breakfast but their menu is an all day menu so if you want a burger or some ribs for breakfast, have at it! Went here with my roommates (my parents =P) and Fiancée and loved that we each got our own dishes so I was able to try each of them. Wasn't planned but always love when that happens! Service was great and its easy to tell that even if the restaurant was busy they would be on point. Really good dining experiences at Great Maple! We were staying at the Pixar Palace hotel which made it really convenient for us. They're open for all meals and have a large selection with something for everyone. All the food we had there was good. Large portions. Seasonal donuts and menu rotations. Blood orange margarita was a nice treat after a long day at the park. Our service for breakfast during the week was very slow - they seemed to be under staffed that day. But otherwise the staff were all friendly and attentive. The decor is welcoming and fit for a casual meal or special date night. Luke was our server and he was so kind and attentive. He had great recommendations and was very attentive. Cocktail list is pretty solid. They have a regular a cocktail list, along with large cocktails that have 6 drinks or a mimosa tray. I ordered the mer-made tiki and it was refreshing. I am a pineapple and rum girl so it was delicious. I also had the cucumber cocktail and it was light and refreshing. Perfect for a summer day! The menu caters to brunch and dinner all day. Keep in mind they do close in the middle of the day for dinner setup. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. It was very filling just a bit messy but still very good. We entered near valet but the valet was kind enough to give us the rest of the directions to the parking structure. Once you go down the stairs from there to the first floor you'll be at the Pixar hotel entrance that leads to Great Maple. We had a reservation prior to arriving so we were seated in 5-10 minutes. You can't go wrong with the Tropical Mermade (basically a Pina Colada). I love that you can order from the breakfast menu even in the evening. Shanie was our server and she went above and beyond. She say my birthday was quickly approaching when I was carded and towards the end of the meal you receive a birthday ice cream. It was very delicious. The Sodapop Baby Back Ribs are my new favorite. It was well-seasoned and not dry. It was still good as leftovers the same night. The white cheddar biscuit had a good crumbly texture with a hint of butter on it. It was doughy. Definitely get the NY medium rare. Two people got medium well at the table and they regretted it. You can also sub in truffle fries as a side with your NY steak. We walked in on a Friday night at 8pm and got a table under 10mins, our server was great (sucks that I forgot his name), he gave us complimentary ice cream since we were celebrating my birthday. The ribeye hash was completely bland and none of the ingredients really worked together. Located inside the new Pixar Place Hotel is this hidden gem of a restaurant that not only includes delicious dining and drink options. An exciting part of this dining experience is that they serve brunch options all day. Unfortunately, I was not aware of this until I placed my order, but nonetheless I will definitely have to make another trip because who doesn't love French toast or pancakes for dinner. The service here is incredible. We sat at the bar and our bartender/ server Krystal was amazing. Not only did she make the most delicious cocktails, but her appetizer and dinner recommendations were on point. If you love a good cosmopolitan and want a drink similar but with tequila then the Siesta drink is definitely one you should try. It is refreshing and dangerously delicious. For food, I ordered the lemon shrimp pasta. It is creamy with a hint of lemon that ends with a spicy kick from the chili flakes. I would recommend this dish if you are looking for something lighter but hearty at the same time. Now one thing we did order off the brunch menu was the fried chicken and donuts. OMG definitely a must! The maple bacon donut and the lemon blueberry donut are seriously one of the best I've ever had. They were light, fluffy, and flavorful making each bite absolutely delicious. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection paired with the donuts made this a worthwhile perfect shared dessert. Inside the Pixar Hotel the restaurant is tucked away and upon entering the hotel we had to ask how to find it! We were seated and given menus right away. I ordered the modern American breakfast. My sister got the smoked bacon scramble and my nieces got the chocolate chip pancakes. Everything was delicious! Being attached to a Disney hotel, they knew how to create a cute ambiance and nice environment that are wonders to the eyes. Food wise, great presentation, but you're not missing out much on taste. It's a normal brunch place. The cutest part of our meal were the little coffees served in these cute bear cups. And like easy children, we ordered solely for the cute cups and our friends were super happy with the drinks. Cajun Shrimp Benedict - Beautiful yolk, but I was expecting a kick since it's cajun, but it's a very simple taste. The potatoes were also very light in flavor. The best part of the meal was the parmesan truffle fries. Very crispy and I think was the most flavorful of the meal. My other friend ordered something with hash browns, but I think it came out a bit different from our expectations. The hash browns were more like chips, they were super crispy (Top right in picture). They still tasted good, just different from what were we expecting. Now the service is where I want to go off on the most. We had a reservation, but we showed up early because we just finished things faster than we expected. We were expecting to be turned away but didn't think it'd hurt to give it a try. We asked the hostess with pink hair if there is availability to come in earlier than our reservation and that if there's not, we'd understand and we'd come back later. After all, this is Disney so there's plenty to check out if they are not ready for us. The hostess said it's fine and it'll be 10-15 minutes, so we went to the side bench and waited. 30 minutes passed, but no calls or confirmation so we went to check. Another hostess was with her this time and said there's no availability and they are booked, so we'd have to wait until our reservation time. This is why we got mad. We try to be understanding with anyone in customer service because we know it's a rough job. But if there's no availability, why tell us 10-15 minutes when there's no opening? We wanted to explore the other hotels and could've done that in the 1.5 hours they're expecting us to wait if they didn't have availability. If things changed after talking to us, the hostess could've let us know as we sat right there to her left that entire time, but she chose to not say a thing until we asked. The manager was nice enough to try to accommodate us since the hostess said 10-15 minutes and got us in afterwards. Our server was super nice as well. She took care of us very nicely and tried her best to remedy the mood, which I feel bad about as she's pretty innocent in all this. During the whole meal, the pink haired hostess gave us looks whenever she passed by too until I stared back. Ate here for Brunch today - this was my first time eating at any Disneyland hotel-based restaurants and I was excited to scarf down some good food after the half-marathon! Checked in super early for my table, so no issue waiting, and was told they were "just wiping down a table" for me and to wait for a text. She confirmed my number, and I waited. And waited. And waited some more... 10 minutes after my scheduled reservation, I checked with the hostess stand again to ensure they hadn't "forgotten" about me, as I had seen/heard several other parties with reservations at the same time as me be seated. The hostess left, checked into it, and returned, and said my table was ready - two minutes later, I received said text message. My server was lovely and I enjoyed the food. When my bill came, I reminded her that I am a Disney Visa Card holder and she said that they only apply discounts Mon-Fri as a company policy. I asked her where that is stated, because I looked for it on the website and couldn't find it - She insisted on bringing over her manager, and when he came over, he said that the restaurant's policy is "no weekend discounts" and that he/the restaurant has told Disney that before, but Disney still doesn't communicate that to guests. I again, asked where guests would find this information, and he said that the restaurant isn't responsible for what Disney pushes out to guests. So, I again, asked to see the policy and where I, as a guest, could find that information before booking, or being seated, or ordering, or paying... And he stumbled over his words, and then retreated to the back for over 15 minutes before returning with an internal document with the discounts they accept - and told me I couldn't take it with me, but could take a photo, which I did. Again, I asked how the restaurant communicates this out to patrons. He again stumbled over his words - I stopped him. I told him that at every other restaurant I've been to, the first question asked is, "Are we dining with any discounts today?" He replied that the policy changed a year and a-half ago, and I let him know that this was my first time dining with them and it is not my job to know that they have a different policy and do not follow the guidelines of Disney. The 10% would have literally knocked $5 off my bill - which would have made a world of difference to me, and nothing to the business - Regardless, the food was tasty and my server was very kind - she checked-in on me even when the manager had "disappeared" on me - asking twice to see if he was "taking care of it" for me. Overall liked the experience here. Located on the first floor of the Pixar hotel, the restaurant and area feel very fresh as it was recently renovated. Service was nice and very fast - I was able to order, eat and pay within 30 minutes. For the food itself, I ordered the Fried chicken and doughnuts, which is their signature brunch item. The chicken wasn't dry at all and the flavor was good. The doughnuts were also pretty good - more on the savory side so it wasn't overly sweet and the texture was heavier compared to a dessert doughnut. Only complaint I had was that for some reason the water tasted a little funny to me. The Easter breakfast spread was as unimpressive as the service, but the real kicker was the employee, Angie, who seemed to think she was the Easter Bunny incarnate. Our excitement about trying something new was short-lived, as Angie descended upon our table like a vengeful spirit, scolding our child for grabbing the golden egg. I'm still trying to understand why she felt the need to make a scene, but what I do know is that her "customer service skills" are an abomination. To make matters worse, our waitress seemed to be put off by the whole ordeal and her behavior started to change. She was no longer enthusiastic or attentive, and her once friendly demeanor turned cold and distant. We asked her about the refillable drinks, and she bluntly told us that they were no longer a part of the package. It felt like she was just going through the motions, and we left feeling disappointed and frustrated. Overall, our experience at the Great Maple was a disappointing and unenjoyable one. We were so excited to try this place and incredibly hungry by the time we actually got seated. Sadly it was cold that night and we were freezing. Unfortunately they sat us in between the outside and inside seating. So we got no heat from the inside and not heat from the outside heat lamps. The restaurant was beautiful looking and our waiter was good. As I looked around at the tables leaving that night, I noticed that a lot of food was being left behind. I told my husband that it was a bad sign but we were hungry and eager to eat. Our waiter came and took our order. We ordered water and an alcoholic beverage to drink. We also ordered a burger with Parm truffle fries, at an extra cost for the fries. We also ordered Mac & Cheese, a Chicken sandwich and regular fries. The waiter brought us a reusable glass bottle of water with two glasses to serve ourselves water with. When we tasted to water we both gagged. It was the nastiest tasting water. So I order a soda instead. He was still waiting a very long time for his alcoholic drink which he reminded the waiter about, and the waiter assured him it was coming. I received my soda and we received our food, but his drink still hadn't arrived. So he told the waiter to cancel his drink and the waiter apologized and brought him the drink anyways. My husband didn't want it as he stayed over and over again, therefore he didn't drink the drink. We were just so excited the food had arrived and we began to eat, until I saw that my burger was really raw inside. So I apologized to the waiter and told him that my burger wasn't cooked correctly and that I would get really sick of the meet wasn't well done. He kindly apologized and took the hamburger back. I kept the fries cause I was starving. The parm truffle fries that we had paid extra for and tasted like completely tasteless regular fries. I was not happy about the fries being extra and not tasting like anything other than regular oily fries. Still I ate them and said nothing about it. I didn't want to complain again and I was still starving. The Mac & Cheese however, was the star of the show and the only good tasting thing we ate here. By the time they brought my burger back my husband was completely done eating and was now just chilling waiting for me. When my food finally arrived they had done a better job of cooking the meat completely. They also gave me more parm fries. Then the manager came and apologized for everything. She even offered us a free dessert. Which was incredibly gracious of her but we were done with this place and just wanted to go back to our hotel. On the bill, they took off the alcoholic drink that my husband never drank and the cost of my soda. I really wanted to like this place but as you can see in my picture, I still didn't like the burger much and I couldn't eat any more of the tasteless fries. My husband ate his food but wasn't thrilled about the taste of everything either. So now we understood why so many people in the restaurant didn't eat all of their food. I was excited to see a new restaurant at the Pixar Place Hotel (formerly Paradise Pier). Last time I was staying at the hotel the spot was empty, so there weren't many food options without a bit of a walk. The service was great, everyone was very friendly, and the food was fantastic. Had a fantastic Eggs Benedict. I was meeting some family there and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. And the coffee drinks were both tasty and cute (one was served in a small bear glass). Our small party of four had an excellent first experience at Great Maple in the Pixar Place Hotel. We first wanted to check out the new hotel lobby renovations and then get lunch at this restaurant. Wait time for walk-up for a Sunday wasn't too bad, a 15-20 min wait. Our exceptional and upbeat server was Gigi, and she explained the day's specials, gave menu recommendations and kept us happy during our visit. We started with drinks and shareables. My family ordered a couple of maple bacon old fashioned, a beer, and I got a Cali Carajillo. The old-fashioned was okay; the bourbon used was a "Bacon washed four roses bourbon," according to the website, but not on the menu. If you like coffee cocktails, try the Cali Carajillo. I prefer a carajillo with large cubed ice, but this was still satisfying. If you enjoy tropical vacation cocktails, try the Tropical Merm-ade. It's a refreshing tiki drink in a cool tiki glass. On to the food. Everyone ordered something different. Overall, everyone enjoyed what they got. We started with the Famous Maple Bacon Donuts, which were impressive when brought to the table. It is very sweet and doughy with tasty bacon bits and maple bacon glaze. The Thick Cut Smoked Bacon was also an excellent starter. Who doesn't love bacon?! The Chef's Market Fish special was a mahi mahi taco, which my bro enjoyed. The salmon entrée and the Steakhouse Burger were just okay. I ordered the Rib Eye Melt. This was a hearty meal; the flavor was delicious overall, the buttered bread was toasty, and the ribeye was tender. My only issue was that it was too salty for me. I could only eat half of the sandwich and took the other half home. I would come back again to experience friendly, attentive service, chill Disney vibes, and try more menu items. We didn't need reservations, but it doesn't hurt to set one up to guarantee a dining spot, especially for larger parties. There were many tables and bar seating available after our lunch. Indoor and patio seating are available. Disney Magic Key discounts apply!! Also, don't forget to check out the awesome Pixar decor and art around the hotel lobby. I came here during my trip to Disneyland. I had visited the San Diego location and loved the Great Maple there so I had high expectations for this location as well. We got the Benedict and it was not warm at all when it was served. The chilaquiles were served cold as well and most of the chips were already soggy. The chicken and maple bacon donuts were very good. I was a little disappointed in this location. I hope it was just an "off day" and it's better next time I visit. Definitely worth visiting. The was by far the best service and food we have had at the Disneyland resort in the last 10 years. The food, while priced for Disney, is so worth the expense. Everything was perfect. We got the Maple Bacon Doughnuts, the Pancake Pops, and the Ribeye Hash. We also tried an espresso martini, and a maple bacon old fashioned. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully, and I can't wait until it's warm enough to eat on the patio. read more

Located in my least favorite Disney's Pixar Place Hotel, is Great Maple. We've been to the Hill Crest spot in San Diego and it was excellent. Disneyland is the newest location and it is just as good. My friend and I made lunch reservations here to try the food and check out the Pixar Place Hotel. Prior to coming I was told that Great Maple is an outside company and not run by Disney. If I hadn't been told that, I wouldn't have known. The restaurant itself is clean, bright and well set up. I loved the touch of the whisk shaped light fixtures. The bar was large and inviting. My friend and I both tried a brew bear, because of the cups lol. It was my first cold brew and I wasn't expecting to like it, as I prefer espresso drinks to coffee drinks. It wasn't bad, but cold brews aren't for me. The presentation was cute though. I got the great maple burger with parmesan truffle fries. It was thick, and cooked to perfection. The fries were crisp and delicious. Sometimes parm fries will be soggy, not these. My friend got the BLT and it was also good. The portions are huge and you definitely get what you pay for. Came to the Great Maple inside the Pixar Hotel in Anaheim for my baby cousin's wedding rehearsal brunch. The hotel itself is so cool with the Pixar decor, and it extends into the restaurant with some high detail artwork on the walls. Our server Joshua was everything you'd imagine a Disney cast member to be in all the best ways. Food came out promptly and was delicious. I'm so happy that there is a dog-friendly restaurant in the Disneyland area! We came for our pups 5th birthday and they even had a pup menu for her to pick something from. When we made our visit, I think it was their first week of service so there were things that weren't perfect, but overall, we had a great time. We ordered the Mimosa bottle, Brew Bears Coffee, Cajun Shrimp Biscuit Benedict and Fried Chicken & Doughnuts. For our pup, we got her the Puppy Patty. Food was a bit slow but overall everything was super delicious and the portions were gigantic! We wanted to get the Portebello Mushroom Fries but was too full with what we ordered. There was great space for large parties and this is location in the newly renovated Pixar Hotel so it was very nice walking into the lobby area. Large restaurant in the newly renovated Pixar Hotel. Good for small and large groups, which is rare for Disneyland resort reservations. One of the only places I've been able to get a reservation for a party of 12. For our large party, we were seated at a bench style table. Kids received kid menu/activity placemats with crayons. A great place to step away from the busy restaurants inside the park, we felt comfortable and not rushed. It's still fairly new and a bit of a walk from the amusement parks, so we'll see with time if this place starts to fill up and if reservations start to fill up fast. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Food was good and a great option if you want to get away from the typical amusement park foods. They will valet park your stroller for pick up after your meal. Obviously you gotta try the maple bacon donuts! With the weather not being in our favor we opted to dine-in and to be honest Great Maple was the only dine-in restaurant with availability. It was a short walk from Disneyland (approximately 10 minutes). Great Maple is located in the first floor of the Pixar Hotel. It has very modern decor like their other locations; however this location has several Disney wall pieces. Alicia was our sever, despite being busy (seemed she was the only server at that time frame) she was very attentive.
