Worst breakfast I've ever eaten. Pancakes were reasonable, however the eggs looked 4 hours old and were cold, the sausage we ordered came out as bacon, and they were out of orange juice (then ordered pineapple juice, and after a 10 min wait, they were out of that also). The service was friendly-ish, but SUPER SLOW. Don't waste your time/money. Avoid like the plague. read more

My father is a hard to please fella. A place may have amazing food but have poor service and he wont go back. We live in Limerick area stumbled across this place and now we go multiple times a week. Talk about amazing food, and amazing service. You dont see that much. He is hard hearing and its visible by the hearing aids he wears. And the staff here work with him. Never disrespecting him or making him feel out of place. Like some places do. Some places are so sarcastic and insist I order and deal with him. Not here. They generally care. The mother/daughter team is awesome as well they make you feel like your part of their family. We love going on Sundays to see them and talk to them. The other 2 servers are great as well. Never had one bad experience with this place. You walk in hungry and you walk out filled and full of joy from the experience. If you want a good meal and leave with a smile. This is a place you have to go too ! If I could give it 1000 stars I would. read more

Other reviewers have called it weird and quirky and that is well said. I know nothing about restaurant ownership and I could give the owner at least 5 major obvious improvements that appeal to American culture and diner lovers. Horrible establishment. Just got it all wrong. Last time I went I was alone and the owner asked me if I was the one sitting in my car for so long before coming in. That was intrusive and off-putting. The food is fine, but it takes entirely too long to make it to the table even when there is no one in the restaurant; which is often. Some servers are nice, but others are completely despondent. The presentation of the food is boring and it is overpriced for the quantity. Last time I went I returned the eggs because the underside was covered in grill cleaner. The waitress had no idea what I was saying in English so I had to settle for something she could understand. The place used to be a KFC and the owner has done very little to change the overall feel of the place from a cold and tacky appearance. For a diner so close to the Classic Diner or Frazer Diner they should go have a visit for what American breakfast fare is attractive. read more

I'm a big diner guy. As far as diners go, this was about middle of the road. The server was really nice, but she was stretched a little thin as she was the only one running the register, and waiting on all the tables. The only really bad thing I'd say about this place was that their menu is jacked up. So you walk in, see some specials on a board. That's all fine, but those items aren't in the menu at all. They have totally different specials in the menu. Then they have a senior menu with a ton of more items. But none of these are in the actual menu. So like they probably have 20 dinners, but if you just looked at the actual menu, you'd see maybe half that many. Anyway, I got the seafood platter, and it was pretty tasty. The salad and mashed potatoes were so so, but the crabcake fish and shrimp were excellent. Overall, a decent enough place, not sure if there are better diners in the area as I was just here on business. read more

New place in town..........thot it was a BBQ place by the sign. Dark looking from the outside , need to open their blinds & let some light in . The restaurant show says it looks more inviting. I think so too. The soup was homemade & very good. We had fried chicken, crab cakes & steak & shrimp dinners with salad, soup & dessert. My husband had veal parm last time which he said was very good also. When inside it did feel more like a dinner than a BBQ place. The menu does look like a typical diner menu but it all tasted good. I Believe this is the best reasonable price place. They are far better than King Street or The Frazer Diner. It is the best diner we have in the Malvern area. Tonight my husband had an awesome Turkey Club, my Mom had Chicken Marsala with salad & soup, I had Salmon Salad. Everything was delicious. Ordered out for lunch today with a few coworkers. I got the sampler (tenders, mozz sticks, fries and onion rings) $8.95....I thought oh thats a good price to get all of my faves. Since our office is in the area they actually delivered which was great. Food arrived still hot, which was great. However, the chicken tenders were the size of the my thumb and very flat, processed meat. The sticks were as skinny as my pinky yet they give you a huge container of maranara sauce. Def not worth the price. For all of that I could've went to Target for their real chicken tenders that they serve at half the price of this meal. Just wasn't worth my money at all. Fries were soggy and unsalted. A co-worker ordered hot wings which actually turned out to be just fried chicken because they didn't put the buffalo sauce on them. Terrible first time experience. Went there for the first time yesterday. The food was good and the staff was really energetic and friendly. The menu was a little overwhelming. I went with the breakfast Panini and really liked it. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger and was really pleased. He was happy that the mushrooms were fresh and not canned as he does not care for them. The fries were the best fries I have ever had. We also shared a cup of their tomato basil soup and it had a wonderful consistence, creamy and thick and very flavorful. Definitely recommend. read more

Our office ordered out from Great Valley Diner and we were pleasantly surprised. None of us had eaten there before, although we've seen the location. Unsure what to expect, we placed our order. I need to foreworn you that my office is very food picky - and we are self claimed food critics. The woman who took my order was very friendly and inviting. She said it would only take about 20 mins and at first I thought she was crazy, we had six different orders. But I arrived there and she wasn't kidding - within 20 minutes they had a box loaded with the food and ready to send me back to work LOL. All of us were commenting about how wonderful the food was. Our order included crab cake platter with soup, cheesesteak with fries, custom omelette with sides, buffalo chicken wrap with curly fries, turkey club with sweet potatoe fries, and the open face turkey platter with mashed potatoes. There was not a single negative comment from any of us. All orders were properly made to fit our needs, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic. Those that had fries both agreed they are out of this world. The portions are plentiful. We will definitely be back!!! A huge thank you to the team at Great Valley Diner!!! read more
