The service was great though, our server was really kind and attentive. The food was delicious, with generous portions and reasonable pricing for Tonkatsu. I got the cheese one and loved it, and my husband's udon was flavorful. I also added spicy tuna roll on the side with my set, and it was also delicious. Definitely planning to come back to try more of the rolls and I'm really curious about their hot pot, too.

I understand that restaurants can get busy, but there is no excuse for poor customer service or rude behavior toward paying customers. If a business cannot manage being at full capacity, it should have a better system in place rather than taking frustration out on guests. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I had lunch here with a friend and his daughter. We were immediately seated after entering. Menus were waiting for us when we sat down and moments later the waitress arrived with water and hot tea. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Pork Lunch Special which includes, Soup, Rice (White or Fried) and a Spring Roll. My friend ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken and his daughter ordered a seafood dish. The soup was brought out in a couple of minutes and the main dishes about five minutes after that. The food was fine, nothing stupendous but okay for the price. I do have to say that the service was excellent. Our waitress was extremely attentive, quick, and friendly. When we were done she was right there to box and bag the leftovers up for us. Others have mentioned that the restaurant was dirty but that wasn't my experience. I looked the dining area over and didn't see anything amiss, however the men's room is in need of a serious makeover. Although the food was just average I wouldn't hesitate returning in great part because of the level of service I experienced on this visit. The price was good too! read more

So I am an AV local and I've been going to this place for about 20 years from when i was a little kid to an adult and i really used to love Great Wall but MAN this place has gone downhill! IT IS CHEAP, esp the lunch menu but sadly i ate there a week ago for the last time. their food has turned into tasteless slime and the service is so so dep on who your waiter is...BUT WHAT REALLY GETS ME is the cleanliness. i was so turned off by how filthy it is. the place is literally falling apart which is why they dim the lights so much. Actually look at the place and theres food on the walls and for gods sake dont look at the floor. i lost my appetite when i was just looking around. Anyway, I can just tell this has turned into a cash cow for whoever owns it. They should shut down for a remodel or fire whoever inspected it because damn it's horrendous. Everytime I eat here I am thrilled. The food is always served piping hot, the staff is really great, and I always leave with a box of leftovers. They have great lunch and dinner specials. Super for takeout as well. My favorites are Lemon Chicken and Beef and Green Onion. The only things I don't like here are the spring/egg rolls and the Sweet & Sour Shrimp or Chicken. All are so greasy they literally saturate an entire napkin when you de-grease them... a real disappointment beause I normally love these dishes. All in all, I have to give it 5 stars!! read more

The place was busy so we were excited that it may be a good place for dinner. It led to big dissapointments. The food had a weird flavor, everything including the soup tasted the same. It was a thick looking oil base gravy for everything we ordered. It was the worst Chinese food we have ever eaten. The tables around us were having issues as well with their food and a shrimp in their food was never pealed. Then the waitress did everything backwards. She put the plates on the edge of the table and pushed all of our other plates. We will not be returning. read more

This is my first time having Chinese food in AV. I've never expected AV has best Chinese restaurant like Great Wall at all. I came on lunch break with my friend yesterday. This place was super busy but the wait time was not that long. I ordered sWeet and sour pork lunch special. It come with one cup of wonton, fried rice, One eggroll and two fried wonton. The manager Kim and his sister Kay are extremely rude. My order was made wrong. I was told I could come in another day to get the item replaced. I attempted to place an order today (3 weeks later) Kay hang up hung up on me multiple times saying that her brother was the manager and would do nothing about it while Kim pretended not to be there. I've given this place multiple tries even free finding glass in our rice once. Lesson learned, we won't be returning. read more

They have EXCELLENT customer service, the best tea in the AV and their lunch specials are an excellent value and taste so much better than the franchised Styrofoam Chinese joints. They have been rated #1 for several years in a row by Antelope Valley Press readers and the reason is because the food and service is awesome. Only problem is sometimes they can get a bit crowded so you may have to wait. The lunch specials are great and the price can't be beat. read more
