Turned my tv on and you can see the side they laid it on cracked it and now my tv that I had for LESS THAN 6 MONTHS IS BROKEN. Do not hire them if you care about your stuff. I couldn't recommend this company more! Moved to Arizona for work and they gave me a quote that was less than half of any of the other moving companies, which made all of my colleagues and new boss super skeptical and sure I was going to get scammed. Nothing could be further from the truth! They were flexible with dates and even with method of payment (as we moved around some religious holidays). First, they came to our apt to offer a guaranteed quote. We locked in the date of the move and they showed up right on time with two guys. We ended up having a ton of small boxes, so they called another guy to help with loading--no extra charge--and they were done in about 3-4 hours. They then drove the 13 hours from the bay to Tucson, AZ and gave us a few extra hours so we could rest during our own drive to meet them there. They showed up perfectly on time and started unloading, were done in a flash. None of our stuff, even fragile glass, was damaged. Nothing scratches, nothing missing. In a word, they were EXCELLENT! I've seen people here complaining about them asking for tips, but they didn't with us. We still tipped them, and they were super thankful. If you are looking for reliability, go with them. We get to know Greatwall from our real estate agent and I wished I know them earlier when I moved to my first home. I had a very bad experience with the previous mover - Ninja Mover (Sorry I have to say their name here because I believe people searching for mover have the right to know) although they have a higher rating than Great Wall Moving. I am so phobia about hiring mover after my first experience and even consider to move myself or rent a U-Haul will do, but because we have a baby now and harder for us to do it ourselves. First, communicating with Lily is quick and efficient. Straight forward and quick response with details and I like they communicate through email and text. We changed our date and she quickly accommodates our request. On the moving day, two men arrived earlier than the scheduled time. They immediately start wrapping our big item, coordinate which to move first, and bring their trolley to move all our boxes, without even any slowing down. They also very considerate when I request them to clear one of the rooms first so that my baby can sleep in there while waiting. They immediately agree and reprioritize what they plan to move. They take good care of our item, move it quickly and carefully. When comes to moving, you wish the mover can act fast but not clumsy. They are super-efficient and careful. They only took 3.5 hours to move everything and bring it to our new house. No damage, everything in perfect condition. Ninja mover used 8 hours to move our stuff from 1 bedroom apartment to 2 bedroom apartment and broke some of our furniture. The 2 x Gentleman (movers) came 10 minutes before the start time. They scoped the move and start moving right away. All the valuable items were wrapped in blanket and plastic. My 2 bedroom apartment was moved safely with no issue. Some moving companies charge double the moving time. Honestly, it doesn't make sense. Great Wall moving had very transparent pricing. They charged me a truck rental fee of $35 but not double the moving time. They also suggest before hand the suggested tipping price of $10 per person per hour. I so much like transparent pricing and no surprises later. I would love to use them for moving again. read more

First I must admit the boys arrived on time. In fact, they called me to apologize for being late but they still arrived 10 minutes early. They were also helpful and very friendly, they treated the furniture delicately even though they had to carry large and heavy objects such as a bed and a TV measuring more than 60 inches. Moved from San Leandro to Vallejo. They came a couple minutes late but it was ok, I called and they said they were on the way so it wasn't a problem. They did a great job, I totally forgot about my storage unit and they packed it all in a box and got it all done for me! They wrapped all my tv(x3) and computer monitors (x3) in blankets so they had a secure ride. They even took apart my bed and set it up at the next location. They only thing about this is they bend the bed in half, I'm not sure if this damaged memory foam but my bf seemed to be unhappy with it so mentioning it here. Total service was about 4 hours with the drive, I paid around 700~~ (forgot the amount now) with tips for the two guys. We had a lot of stairs at both locations, they sure deserved it. read more
