My wife enjoyed the salmon, my chicken pasta marinara dish just okay. What made my blood boil was we asked for bread and were told it wasn't offered with dinner. They serve 2 sandwich entrees one with sourdough and one with rye so there must be bread in the kitchen. We were told we'd have to order tortilla chips! I was too accommodating and let it go but fuming when my wife had a headache this morning mainly due to sipping wine on empty stomach while waiting a long time for entry! Simply saying "we typically don't offer but let me see what I can do" and bringing a slice or two of sourdough would have had us returning again, but not so sure now. Not how you earn customers! I booked the restaurant for my husband's 50th Birthday celebration and I couldn't have been more satisfied. The food was delicious, the drinks were perfect and the staff was absolutely fantastic. My guests were so impressed. I was able to bring in my own decorations, Cake, photographer and I had Dj/Sax performer Natty Rico booked as a gift to my husband. This is my first ever Yelp review and unfortunately I was compelled to post it because of a not so great experience. My husband and I wanted have a special dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary so we decided to go here because it was "new". I made a reservation through Open Table, and indicated that we were celebrating this special occasion. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we mentioned our reservation, even though it was not really necessary because there were not a lot of guests. The hostess then said that their Open Table app was not working, so it not advise them of our arrival or that we were celebrating our anniversary. The menu and food are above average in cost, so the expectation is high and unfortunately, we were not pleased. I ordered the miso black cod and it was over cooked and had several bones in it. My husband ordered the chicken and it lacked seasoning. When we told the waiter about the food issues, he said he would take note and advise the kitchen. There was no offer to make it better. We decided against having dessert here and went somewhere else, judging that, based on the rest of the meal, we would likely be disappointed. My husband's comment as we left was, "it wasn't good, but it wasn't terrible." We went to Wolf Creek for dessert, which thankfully was delicious so we ended the evening on a good culinary note. Totally take back all the nice things I said in my previous post... due to one very rude, unprofessional and down right not nice female manager who was running the bar. She has a weird name that I can't remember, but when she reads this review, she will know I am talking about her. We went for appetizers and drinks on a Saturday night. It took over 15 minutes before we were greeted by a server, which was way too long considering the place wasn't busy. We orderd some fries and sushi, both amazing, and our cocktails. When the drinks came, all of us agreed that the drinks were made way too week. No way I was going to pay $10 for club soda with a splash of burbon! When my girlfriend and I approached the bar to ask for them to remake the drinks, this lady manager literally ignored us. I am not kidding, she stood there at the bar and did not address us in any way. It was like she was purposely not going to help us... for no reason! We walked to the other side of the bar and talked to another manager who was very nice. She fixed our drinks and all was good. What a simple thing to save business, just be a manager and treat customers with respect! Eric the sushi guy is amazing by the way. Had to throw that in! Unfortunately, we won't be going back. I am here now for Valentines Dinner. No one even acknowledged us for 20 minutes host finally came to help us out. Not that busy. Just got my shrimp scampi and filet and my shrimp was frozen. I spit it out. Fking ridiculous sent it back. Never again will I eat here. The host was nice but this is kitchen fault. I like the bar but we will Never ever eat here again. The dim lights and casual music provided me with a relaxing and amorous atmosphere. I tried the Strauss Farm Burger and it was delicious. My peers also tried the Spicy Crab roll and it was the BEST crab roll I had ever tried in my entire life. Our server Alex was amazing, very friendly and informative with our menu questions. When our food was ready the other staff helped our server run the food to us at the same time instead of making our waiter run back and forward getting out large meal order. I was hoping that this restaurant would be a wonderful new addition to Santa Clarita, but sadly it has a long way to go. 1. I love that you can make reservations online. That makes it easy and very practical because they don't have a hostess on duty to take your call. We waited a while to be greeted and seated, a very basic customer service expectation. 2. The acoustics in this place are very loud. The whole place is hard reflective surfaces and no treatments to make it more pleasant. The night that we were there, they had live music. The talent that they hired was excellent, but the sound system was horrifying. When you are going to spend $100 plus on dinner, you would like to NOT have to shout at your dinner companion. 3. The bar is in close proximity and they had a game on. The guests were very loud and obnoxious. Not just cheering or clapping, but loud and boisterous. I felt like I was in a sports bar. 4. We ordered an appetizer (sushi), and entrees. The service was somewhat slow, but when our server arrived she brought our entrees and no appetizer. When I inquired about it, she said she would check and I saw her grab it off of the counter. I hope it wasn't waiting there too long as it was a sushi roll. The food was fine. 5. The bottom line is if you are looking for a pleasant place to have conversation with some nice live music, this is not your place. It is located in the Hyatt Hotel, which is a nice hotel chain, but the restaurant does not reflect the usual Hyatt standards. This place feels more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. read more

Went to meet friends for happy hour Friday. The place was clean, spacious and nice. This review is not on food but service. A friend called ahead of time and spoke to a male server. When we arrived that male server decided to not serve us but go to the bar to serve the beer drinking men. We ended up with a very rude, impatient and non accommodating young waitress. Her demeanor and coldness made her very ugly. We had a couple of issues to put it lightly (food arriving late, having bad drinks, etc...)and the manager came out and she was as slow as a sloth in her reaction, customer service skills and performance. And when you do order from their very limited happy hour menu, make sure you are charged that. We realized the server tried charging me for a full price for a very bad tasting drink that she said was happy hour pricing. It's pretty sad when you have complaints, and try to take it to management and find management is just as bad as where the problem came from. read more

Nothing could ever bring me more pleasure than to write this review! My reviews are honest and always fair. I decided to throw a little dinner bday party at Greater Pacific at the last minute. Terez the restaurant manager was absolutely amazing!!! Terez listened attentively to my wants and made it happen. Shame on me for last minute planning but it was what it was. Let me tell you, so on the day of I picked up my daughters bday cake from LA. It's hot as heck in Santa Clarita so I don't know what I was thinking but silly me didn't bring the cake straight to the hotel. Instead I brought the cake home and finished preparing for the party. I get to the hotel and the cake is toppled over! Omg the cake was ruined and my husband is pissed with me. Now when I say the cake was ruined I mean It was ruined!!! I was devastated and so was my daughter because it's her 13th bday and all of her friends were coming and we didn't have a cake. I'm totally freaked out at this point. Terez sees how stressed I am, she's such a lovely lady. Terez assured me not to worry about it. She assured me her chef would fix it. I'm thinking in my mind there is no way this damaged cake can be fixed but hey I had nothing to loose by having them try. The food came out and they had everything set up like a 5 star buffet. The food was delicious and the presentation was 5 star all the way. Terez introduced me to our waiter Collin and event planner Sarah and they too were amazing. I felt a little bit better seeing how they genuinely cared. Collin our waiter was so on it! Everything I asked for Collin took care of with a smile!!! Collin took the initiative to bring condiments that I hadn't even thought of. Sarah would come back periodically to check on us and make sure we were good and we were. Finally the bday cake came out!! Can you say it was a miracle! The cake was decorated with fresh flowers and fruit and perfectly in tact!! It looked better than it did before! What??? I have never tasted sushi like this in my life. Wow. You can tell the sushi chef has dedicated his life to his craft. I'm talking straight Japanese culture of immersing yourself to sushi. Shaving your head every day, spending hours and hours dedicated to your craft. That kind of sushi chef. It was insane how yummy this sushi was. It was melt in your mouth. Not only was the quality of fish amazing but the spices used were just out of this world. This was the first time in my life I didn't need soy sauce or wasabi. Service was not good at all. Took forever to get someone to take our drink order, our food order, as well as the wait for the food and then the wait for the bill even though they barely had any people. They brought out bread plates even though bread was never brought out but other tables got it. They had a band playing extremely loud to the point that whole date had no purpose cuz we couldn't even speak out loud without losing our voices. Food was really really bad, I can easily tell if sushi will be good by just trying salmon sushi, cuz it's easier to tell the quality of fish, and it was crumbly and very very weird on texture and flavor. I had upset stomach 40 min later. They were also very rude about the fact that we had open table rewards to use, it took them good 20 minutes just to proses our coupon and right after that everyone was obviously very rude even though we tipped 20 percent for such service and yet they still gave us dirty looks afterwards. I really don't recommend this place, it might look nice inside but I just genuinely think that the food and service is not worth it. We come to Greater Pacific because the sashimi & rolls are top quality & should get 4.5 stars. It is the best our city has to offer. We enjoy sashimi in many cities so this is a compliment. Our waiter, Collin, was attentive, personable and very helpful. Why we gave the review 1 star, is because the live music was not only of poor quality but extremely loud so that we had to leave the dining area (where we usually like to sit), and go outside. Collin had asked the singer to lower the volume, which he refused to do. I am not exaggerating, when I say we literally could not hear one another. Fortunately, Collin agreed to serve us outside. We come for the food, but also to enjoy conversation with one another. It is sad when the noise of traffic is more pleasant than sitting indoors. I want to add that this is the lowest rating I have ever given a restaurant (which the performer deserves), but the restaurant deserves so much better. We got pretty cold outside, so could not linger. We dine on Fridays and Saturdays, so will not return if that particular performer is present. read more

The newly renovated restaurant "Greater Pacific" is chic and classy with a great variety of tasteful food! They had excellent service and are very attentive to you and your needs. The staff especially is so kind and genuine! I was able to have great conversations with the bartenders and they always exceed my expectations with their drinks and food. Their sushi is by far my favorite especially because its tastes fresh and is presented in an artistic way! I have made multiple reservations for my meetings and the management has always went above and beyond to make sure the events run very smooth.
