Outdoor seating only. Great photos on the menu. I'd say that for Redding you're not going to find better Greek food. You'll find better elsewhere (like Greece?) but it's pretty good. I enjoyed it and I tried the hot sauce too, so give that a try on the side. Foods expensive now everywhere so it's almost not worth mentioning anymore. Expect $12-14/person. The outdoor seating is right on the road so I wouldn't say there's much ambiance, but on a nice day it's pleasant. The service is excellent. Very friendly and prompt.

While on a road trip we yelped food near our location & found Greek Shack! Jumped off of I-5 and missed it on the first pass along the busy street. BUT, the brilliant blue caught my eye, so we whipped a U! Lots of easy parking to the rear! Wow!!! The wonderful gentleman at the tiny kitchen was so thoughtful! He took our order & assured us it would only be a couple minutes...however, it was 100° outside & he told us he would bring the food out to our car in spite of the fact there were small tables in front to eat or wait. This veteran was a complete gentleman who cares about his customers comfort! The food was beautiful, the veggies fresh & vibrantly colorful, the chicken and falafel were full of flavor & the pitas soft and lovely. Hands down the best Greek fast food we've ever had!! The chicken gyro & falafel wrap order was $24, and the portion size filled us up! Highly recommend & we'll stop again the next time we go thru Redding!

The family and I just recently tried Greek Shack and it's been by far the best Greek/Mediterranean food we've found so far. The lamb and chicken kabobs were extremely flavorful and juicy. Coupled with rice, hummus and a Greek side salad it's definitely gonna be my go to. The lamb Gyro was pretty phenomenal also. If you come on Wednesdays, you'll get a gyro for $8.99, you're not gonna beat that these days. We were greeted with great service from I'm guessing the Greek owner and I love the overall ambiance of the the tiny shack. All in all, I'd come here again and I highly recommend Greek Shack! Happy eating fam!

Okay, I've been to Greece so I will always think that that the Greek food is unbeatable when you're in the country. BUT, this place is good! They gave me a large portion and the food was fresh. I am so happy to have some good greek food in the area. The location is not so great but it's on Hartnell, so just expect it to be a little rough. It's right by the road. Traffic is loud. Even so, definitely worth the stop. read more

This place is delicious ! The food is always spot on. Service is hit or miss depending on who is working. No one is ever rude, just may take a little longer to get you food. We love the Falafels here, simply the best!! We have tried everything on the menu, including the Mediterranean coffee - we are never disappointed. read more

OMG soo good! Found this place while driving up to Ashland on I-5. We got 1 chicken, 1 lamb and 1 falaffel gyro. My favorite was the lamb and my second fave was the falaffel (freshly made)! Staff was super nice and food came pretty fast in my opinion. The shaded seating area was much appreciated in the summer heat! read more

The food is really nice. The lamb gyros really satisfy that need for some Greek food. Actually almost everything served is fantastic. There are only a few tables outside and in the sun which makes sitting there difficult if it is warm outside. Taking your order home, back to work or another place where you can eat in comfort. You will enjoy the food just not the environment where you can sit and eat. Parking is a real issue too. Overall, go and enjoy, Manga! read more

I was looking for something quick when driving up I-5, and this place jumped out at me. It WAS quick. I had a lamb gyro (there are not a lot of menu options), and it was large and tasty. Gyros in the US, and Greek Shack is no different, almost always use a pre-formed meat instead of cutting it off the huge rotating spindle of meat. That aside, the sandwich was good. read more

This is the only place I will go for Greek food. From their classic Greek salad to their homemade baklava, everything felt authentic. I always order the Lamb Gyro combo. They stuff their gyros full of meat and their delicious tzatziki. The combo comes with hummus with pita bread and also your choice of tabbouleh salad or greek. No matter what you get, rest assured you will get your moneys worth every time. I tried other "greek gyro" places around town and this one packs the most bang for your buck. The staff there is always quick and friendly. LOVE this place. read more

By far the best Greek food in town!! I tried the other place and to me it didn't compare!! For one the other location asked you to choose your side either salad or hummus and then you get a drink, which stinks because both are great!! Luckily this location gives you the hummus and the salad just no drink which is fine with me I rather have the hummus:) The lamb gyro was better then the chicken.. Also some workers do make it better which stinks I did come the other day and had a terrible worker, she forgot my dressing and feta cheese which makes the salad. So always check your stuff and hope you get a good worker read more

The lamb gyros are super tasty and very addictive. The owner is very nice and will have your order ready for you if you call before you arrive. Falafel is very good as well. Marking down 1 star because they only have outdoor seating which limits dining to good weather. read more

This is our office's "Go to" lunch. We probably go there at least once a week. They have very fresh salads and THE best hummus and pita. They give such a large portion of hummus that you can have it the next day for a snack. And of course it's awesome that it's a drive thru....quick service read more

I stopped in recently to grab food for my family while holding my sleeping four-year-old, and their team went completely above and beyond. They carried my order out to my car, helped make sure I had salsa, and were just unbelievably kind and thoughtful throughout the whole experience. It's rare to find a place that delivers both exceptional food and exceptional people, but Dos Amigos does both so effortlessly. I will always support this business -- not only for the amazing meals, but for the genuine care and heart they show their customers.

the food is so delicious. i always get a gyro and it's always really yummy. the only downside to this is the location. it's right next to a filthy looking liquor store. it's really sketchy and i always feel like I'm going to be robbed at any second. i also find it odd that the parking lot is behind the shack so when you're at the window ordering your food, you can't see your car and as i mentioned earlier, the location is sketchy and there are some weird people around there. since i'm not in view of my car, i always fear that someone is going to vandalize my car or break into it. i would definitely give them 5 stars if it wasn't for location. :( read more

i love this place! at first i thought it seemed a little sketchy since its right next to a really dirty liquor store. however, the lady was super friendly and accommodating. my brother got a lamb gyro and i got a chicken gyro. he said he really liked it. the gyro was packed with flavor! i cant begin to explain how good it was. i dont know how they season their meat but its perfect. also, the vegetables that topped the gyro were very fresh!!!! the yogurt sauce that i always forget the name of was yummy as well. the greek shack has gotta be one of my places to get lunch at in redding! read more

I love gyros and since Redding doesn't have a lot to offer in the way of Greek food, I thought I would stop in at the little kiosk-esque Greek Shack. I am very impressed! My gyro was really tasty and more than enough to get my fill for around $6.50 out the door! I will definitely be back, and recommend it! read more

I like the falafel wrap (make sure you ask for the pita bread!) Not a big fan of lamb and have never even tried their gyros. but the falafel is amazing and the greek salad is refreshing. I wish they'd hire more people to speed up service. other than that it is one of my favorite places to eat lunch. read more

Absolutely delicious. The shop also has the great "hole in the wall" feel that makes all good finds, ha ha. The lamb gyro was perfectly spiced. haven't had a gyro that good in ages. read more
