I'm extremely impressed with Mike's attention to detail and professionalism. I opted for the Ultimate Detail for a very well used and abused Prius before selling it. This car has seen some shit. From off roading, fording small streams, Doberman transport and pulling me on a 80 mile round trip commute for a few years. Its 230,000+ miles were not kind to the car. I had the car detailed at my home while I was working and came back to what looked like a new car. He didn't miss a spot. Door jambs were immaculate, the deep well in the center console was vacuumed and wiped down, AC vents were free of dust. There was virtually nothing left untouched. I haven't seen so much careful attention to detail since I was field daying barracks in the Marine Corps. The whole scheduling process was smooth. We did everything over email, didn't even need to call and never met face to face and he trusted me with mailing a check for payment. I was skeptical about this being a completely water free car wash, so I set a hose up for him in front of my house. Wasn't even touched. I applaud him for being environmentally conscious. He did request electricity if I could provide it, so I ran an extension cord underneath my garage door for him. This allows him to work without running his generator. I came back and the extension cord was neatly coiled on the side of my house, saving me another trial by combat with the HOA for not keeping up appearances. Much appreciated. Overall, I feel I was able to comfortably ask for $1000 more when selling my car due to how spotless it looked. I ended up selling the car for my asking price and nearly double what CarMax appraised it for. I'll definitely book another appointment in the future for my new car. read more

I tried to schedule detailing for two of my family's cars, and after repeatedly confirming our appointments, he cancelled 1 hour before the scheduled time due to a "broken water pump." Despite the inconvenience, I attempted to reschedule several times, but suddenly received no responses from Cameron and no effort to salvage the business. When I was looking for a good job, reasonable price and most importantly convenient, I could not have made a better choice than Michael & Green Auto Gleam. Added to all of that was his sense of honesty and integrity as the auto detailing job progressed on my '89 BMW 735i that has seen too many days in the sun and has in excess of 300k miles on it. After one appointment hick-up Michael told me it would take about two hours to do his waterless car wash and cleaning along with his technique for removing as much of the oxidation and light scratches as could be done on the first service. With tons of age on the interior leather he made the seats look as close to new as weather beaten leather seats can look. No fancy air fresheners or glistening sprays; just elbow grease and attention to the most minute detail. The metal-flake gray paint will take more effort but the car looks fantastic with most every flaw hidden behind Michael's efforts at making my car shine. three hours later there was no: it was harder, more time consuming, etc. Just the agreed upon price and suggestions for the future. And, hopefully there will be many more future waterless car washes as I plan to have Michael maintain this new car feel for me. Mike did some fantastic work on my wife's Subaru Forester. I called him the afternoon before, and he was able to squeeze me in the morning after, responding extremely promptly to a voice mail that I left for him. He comes to you (mobile detailing), which is nice and convenient (i.e. you don't have to leave your car at a place and figure out how to get to work). When he got here, he estimated a price based on the size of the car, which makes sense, and discussed the differences between the standard wax vs. sealant, while making an initial evaluation of the work that would need to be done. After that, he took about 3.5 hours to finish the work on the car. Some things to note: If it's raining, a covered spot/garage is needed to let him do his work. Services are rendered using a waterless system so does not create a mess (which is what my apartment complex was concerned about). Also, not very noisy either (which was another concern for my apartment). Mike really takes pride in his services and told me multiple times how much he enjoyed taking care of my car. Honestly, that's what I look for in people who take care of cars, passion and attention to detail. Would definitely use it again and recommend to other friends. I was selling my Lexus and wanted it detailed to get the best price. Frank did an excellent job! I told him when I sold my Lexus that I'd like to start off on the right foot with my new Mazda3. Less than a week later he was back at my house! He just left after washing, waxing, and applying a sealant to my new car. Looks beautiful and he gave me some extremely helpful tips on how to take good care of my car going forward. It's an indigo blue (darker) in color. It had sat outside the garage until my Lexus sold and the sprinkler had sprayed it leaving water spots. He explained that water spots left on a dark car over more than a few weeks could result in permanent damage to the paint (like he'd just seen with another customer and her new car). Mike Cavanaugh is the owner of Green Auto Gleam. I found him on Yelp! when I was looking for a mobile service that would not use the water at the complex in which my son and daughter-in-law live, since the landlady does not allow car washing. The multiple 5-star in-depth reviews, plus checking out his website, led me to send him an e-mail to inquire about "spiffing up" the 2007 Volvo SUV that my son bought for his wife last December. On my Mother's Day visit his wife had commented on how nice my car, which is 3 years old, smelled, so I thought it would be a nice gift to get her car in top interior and exterior condition for when they bring home the new baby in 6 weeks. Mike called me back and e-mailed me several times as I was trying to ascertain which package would be the best for my budget. I selected the Premium package, which is expected to last several months. He was always very polite and professional. We were finally able to get this service arranged at a time convenient for my daughter-in-law, and my son said Mike worked diligently for 3 hours in the 101 degree heat! My daughter-in-law is "over the moon" pleased with the results as they say their car looks like a brand-new luxury vehicle! I provided my credit card number, which could have been turned into an actual gift certificate he would mail, but since I wanted to get it done within a couple of days, he just took down the needed address, etc. and called my daughter-in-law when he was en route. Mike has a special offer on his website, so the Scotchguarding was included at no extra cost. If I lived near Del Mar I would certainly have Mike detail my own car! Frank is outstanding. I had been through a number of "detailers" that professed their ability to restore my car to factory shine condition. I've been driving around with this swirls in my paint from a bad detail job earlier this year. I had several people try to get it out (all promising they could do it) only to leave me less than satisfied. Some even said it was impossible. Frank was honest about what happened without bashing the other guy (he easily could have) and explained what had happened (mechanically) and what it was going to take to get it out. He slaved over it into the dark. He offered not to collect payment until I could evaluate it under the sunlight the next day and also wanted me to be sure I was happy. I didn't take him up on that offer because I just knew he did it right. He sure did! My car is Sapphire Black and I had forgotten due to the haze and swirl that has plagued my car for so long. Anyways, it really does shine like the day I bought it... the Sapphire Black actually shows again with the little hints of glisten that BMW put into it! I'm really excited about it and it feels like a new car all over again. This man is professional, honest and takes pride in his business.
