I'm going to share facts and you make your own determination: We used green grounds for about a year patiently until increasing problems over the last few months and less and less willingness to address mistakes became untenable for us. On two separate multiweek occasions while we continued to recieve bills, green grounds crews stopped showing up for weeks at a time until we noticed and called to report it. They said we were deleted from the schedule accidentally, twice. A ceramic potted plant was broken in an area behind a locked gate. We don't have animals or kids. Someone collected the pieces and swept up the dirt, but no one reported it or owned up to it. When we noticed and called they promised to replace it and never did. Green grounds crews decided to dig up a garden bed that had visible surface drip lines. They used a fullsize shovel and we ended up with a dozen or so cuts in the line. No one reported the damage and water flooded for a month, while other plants in the same zone wilted and died. When I finally noticed, and reported it, green grounds claimed someone had come to fix it on three occasions, including the supervisor, but security footage proved he didn't show up. It didn't get fixed until the 4th time when I showed up to make sure it got done. When we hired Green Grounds we went over the lavender care. We were promised that would be taken care of correctly. They butchered the lavender cutting into the hardwood which will not grow back on this plant. They severed another irrigation line while doing it and didn't report it. They currently aren't answering my calls and I've let them know via email we will be cancelling service moving forward.

We had Guillermo and his crew from Green Grounds relandscape our front yard. The results were everything we wanted and more. The crew was incredibly professional, hardworking, respectful and showed up on time every day. The quality of the hardscape products and plant material they got for us was top-notch and the installation was absolutely meticulous. Some other reviewers have said they were comparatively expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for with Green Grounds. We could not be happier with the outcome!

We love our new garden and keep looking out the kitchen and living room windows to view it throughout the day. What we see is a raingarden with coral bells and blue-eyed grass, a mounded berm ringed by manzanita and penstemon, and paths of creeping thyme that Dan and his team created for us. We removed 2146 sq ft of lawn. Our landscape was completed within budget and on time. The Green Grounds team is friendly, punctual, mindful of wearing masks during Covid, and left the site tidy and clean each afternoon. The outdoor bathroom arrived one day prior to when the work was scheduled to begin, and the delivery of dumpster, soil, mulch, plants, and dumpster removal all unfolded as a residential street ballet. Our initial goal was to replace the lawn with a water-efficient landscape with support from the DWP incentive program that offered a $3 for each square foot of turf removed. I provided Dan with a garden plan drawn with colored pencils, detailed comments, some questions, and a list of my favorite drought-tolerant California-friendly plants. Dan patiently responded to my detailed questions about irrigation strategies, design considerations, materials, plants, and codes promptly, line-by-line in my long emails. He provided suggestions based on his experience, brought up considerations, and guided us through the landscape project process. I must emphasize Dan and his team went above and beyond expectations. I will list some examples. 1. An old, neglected, formless and overgrown Yucca tree in our backyard was transformed it into a living sculpture. 2. Blobs of old (excess) concrete at the base of a wall were jackhammered out to create a wider planting bed for the future vegetable garden and sideyard. 3. The team leader noticed a piece of our St. Catherine's Lace plant had broken off, so he took it and planted it in an appropriate spot nearby, saving the cutting and starting a new plant. 4. Our raised beds (that already contained existing vegetables) were surgically fitted with miniature bespoke irrigation systems. I did not expect the Yucca transformation, removing the blobs of concrete, nor for that broken-off piece of our St. Catherine's Lace to be given a second life. These were not spelled out anywhere in our contract. To me, these actions demonstrate care and connection to the garden that was being created. This is kind of wonderful. Dan also provided us an attractive selection of rock, boulder, and mulch samples, later surprising us by bringing by boulders that worked well with the Honey Quartz gravel for the raingarden in both color and scale. Decisions around where to place irrigation controls were solid and logical: the drip irrigation valves were placed in the least obtrusive location in the back of the house, and the smart controller was placed in a location that was easy for us to access. I had not expected an impromptu collaboration making a landscape with Dan and his team. We just wanted to get rid of the terrible, water-wasting lawn. Not only was it thrilling to see my garden design made real, but the experience also turned out to be super-neat. Thank you Dan and Green Grounds!

Absolutely loving their work. I just had them come out to design my small backyard, which was previously empty with lumpy DG. They took my vision and executed it to perfection. I'm grateful that Guillermo was able to design around my limited budget and the whole crew worked so efficiently to get the project done in 3 working days. There was a shipment delay in the beginning, but Yesenia in the office was on top of communications and I never felt out of the loop. Great team overall, awesome craft.. I would highly recommend to anyone! And you have my future business that's for sure. Thanks again for your work!

If only I could give Green Grounds 10 stars! Dan and team did an incredible job reimagining our barren front yard and overgrown side yard. Upon initial inquiry, the office staff was extremely responsive and had Dan to our house to evaluate the job within the week. Dan instantly expressed a clear vision for our unique space. Despite meeting with us on a Friday afternoon, Dan provided an initial job estimate within 24 hours. Furthermore, he diligently worked with us to revise the scope of the job to fit within our budget. When installation of our landscape commenced we were not disappointed. The Green Grounds crew arrived on time and all members were extremely considerate. They kept us informed of the status of the job and meticulously cleaned the property at the end of each working day. After only 2.5 days, the job was complete and looked beautiful. We look forward to working with Green Grounds again!

Had these guys come and do a smaller job on my property installing black metal edging and staking some trees. Two weeks later I am still finding sharp pieces of metal they left all over in my lawn and the black on the metal edging is completely peeling off all over. (Left empty water bottles and trash all over in my potted plants too). Before I even noticed all that in the back I tried to also have them give me a second quote for artificial grass and the guy completely lied about the price. We went over everything in detail during the site visit, reviewed the notes he took and he showed me the math and confirmed the overall price all included at $10.5k. Guy then doesn't follow up with the estimate for a full week and sends it through increased by $4k with a bunch of BS about why the increase was justified. Done with these people.

Our house was turned into a paradise! Cirilo and the team went beyond our expectations and now we have more than we could ever imagine. Their customer service was amazing and made the process extremely easy for us. Our project consisted of pool/spa, steel pergola, outdoor kitchen, synthetic grass/pavers with palm trees and ficus trees everywhere! Anything you need, they can do and with the highest quality.

Miguel and Martin are very knowledgeable about all of our various species of vegetation. They work diligently to ensure our plant are only trimmed nicely, but they also advise us of any insect infestation and then they spray to ensure they stay healthy. Finally, they also clean up all trimmed waste and leave our property spotless! Amazing work and they are always on time and have never missed one appointment. I would recommend Green Grounds to any homeowner or real estate.

What an amazing company and employees! They did my mother's front and back lawn and we were blown away. I don't have a bank roll like her but I still had them come out to bid it. They did everything to work with us to get the bottom dollar amount to where we could afford it. Each time we re worked the bid Cirilo came out to walk us through the changes and made us not feel like we weren't loosing as much as we did. In the long run we felt like we didn't loose anything we wanted. They took us to their nursery and my wife was in heaven picking out plants. Cirilo didn't complain once if it wasn't what he planned out via our talks instead he would make other suggestions on plants that would look and work well with our changes. He also found 2 multi-grafted fruit trees that I REALLY wanted. His team was amazing. They took every precaution to keep my wife, kids and myself safe during covid. They didn't mind having a 5 & 7 yr old Forman sitting on the front steps watching them demo and remove trees. At one point they knocked on the door to let us know they were cutting a tree down so the boys could watch. Not only did they do the lawn but they did all the demo, piping, wiring for sprinklers (smart phone comparable), lights, French drains, brick work, wood panels for a fence running the whole length of the property, a gate to match and gutters. I feel like there was even more they did that I can't remember. The crew cleaned up daily and left our place beautiful and spotless. We had a few standard issues after they were done and we got extremely quick replies and they fixed the problems extremely quickly. We can't say enough about Cirilo and his crew. We wish we had more for them to do as we are still so happy every time we come home, look out our windows or walk out the door. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a great final product and a smooth working relationship.

Recently had our house painted exterior and interior, and had our hardwood floors refinished to a superb shine. We have been using the landscape service twice a month as well since 2012.

Imagine a huge yard with TONS of potential, yet absolutely NO appeal. That was our back yard for the last 10 years - a huge waste of space. Cirilo Rosa and GreenGrounds Landscape Services changed all that completely! We had a vision and their expertise helped us bring it to life. See for yourself in our before and after photos. They have additional professional photos from our project on their website, but I wanted to share ours, too. I absolutely recommend GreenGrounds to anyone looking for a landscape transformation. Cirilo and his teams (hardscape, landscape, gas/electrician) were professional, polite, hard working, and highly skilled. They built gorgeous stucco retaining walls, two custom redwood gates, installed two huge Trex Deck areas with an adjoining walkway, custom crafted a DG Yin/Yang symbol for a Zen Garden, installed completely new automated, custom zoned drip irrigation, made plant recommendations then took us shopping to select our trees and plants from a large, professional nursery, staged all the plants for final approval, then planted and lighted the whole thing! Our back yard is now a paradise, a resort-like haven, with dedicated spaces that we enjoy several times daily, and will be proud to share with family and friends! The process wasn't without a few hiccups, but something that really impressed me was how GreenGrounds (Cirilo) took pride in the work they were doing for us and always went the extra mile. At one point we realized something was off and brought it to their attention, the very next day Cirilo brought the team (who'd finished that part of the job, and moved on) back to make it right. How often do you see that in the world of contractors? Did I mention this whole process took place during a pandemic? The crew set up a sanitization station, wore masks and carried on without missing a beat. The project completed several weeks ago, and they have sent out a team to monitor the health of the plants to be sure everything took and that the watering schedule was correct. They have since replaced the few plants and a couple of larger trees that were not thriving without cost to us for any of it! We are very happy and would select them again without hesitation.

I've been meaning to write this review for a couple months now. It's well deserved as you'll see from my pictures. My wife and I bought our house last year and wanted to turn our very small yard into a little oasis and maximize our limited space. I was deep into our bid process when I remembered I took a picture of their truck doing a job not far from me and decided to get my one last bid after I thought my mind was already made up. I'm so happy I did. Cerillo came over and I was immediately comfortable with him and impressed with his professionalism. He took what I imagined, hoped for, didn't even consider, and made it all a reality. Him, his partner Dan, our foreman Ecdro, and their crews were incredible. The amount of work they put in was so much more than I realized and almost made me feel like I didn't pay enough. Again look at my pictures (they don't even give the project justice). I can't recommend this company and the Green Grounds team enough! I'm confident that I couldn't of achieved this with the other 10 companies a talked to. You owe it to yourself to at least let them give you a bid. Thank you all so much!!!!
