I feel like the best way I can define Green Lemon is like being at the club, but with tacos. This spot has such a fun vibe and I'd constantly heard good things about it but still hadn't been able to stop in. I was here on a weekday night and it was still hopping. Unfortunately they don't take reservations which is probably the only downside. When I stopped in they said the wait would be about an hour but if high tops and bar seating opens up it's first come first served. So luckily, we fell in that category and nabbed a spot. Our waitress was very nice and the food was super tasty. I did a selection of 3 tacos and sipped on the Soho margarita. Will definitely want to stop in here again, but at a less busier time, which from what I could tell needs to be after 7:30 or so ;) read more

I have never heard of the Green Lemon, and it wasn't on my radar to eat here, but it did not disappoint one bit! Upon walking in I was unsure who to speak to regarding finding a table due to no one being at the host stand, but that was the least engagement I had during my whole experience at Green Lemon. After speaking to the togo associate I was directed to a table where I was guided on the best foods and the best options for the Green Lemons menu by my server Ethan (highly recommend using him if you stop in). Ethan recommended the buffalo chicken tacos on top of the carne asada and a side of the esqitue corn. THE FOOD WAS GREAT! I don't think the prices were bad or great, but I would pay them again for how delicious and attentive my server was. Not to mention the ambiance of the whole restaurant was hip and a great techno-modern vibe. Ethan sat with me for a bit just chatting and talking about the restaurant. Amazing! Stopped by here on a weeknight with no reservation was told there would be a wait unless we wanted to sit at the bar. No problem! We were seated immediately and I ordered the spicy margarita which was indeed spicy. I really enjoyed it and would definitely get the larger size next time. We had chips and salsa for the table some of the chips tasted like sweet potatoes which was surprising but still pleasant. We ordered the 3 tacos that came with the side dish. I ordered a shrimp, fish, and beef taco all which were phenomenal as well as rice and beans. The food was delicious and I left so full! Another good experience at this restaurant recently. I had the The Street Trio: 1 Shia Labeef and 2 Krispy fried chicken tacos (KFT). My wife had the taco plate, and the strawberry mint Fresca. It was quite refreshing. As always, the service was spot on. We were there on a Sunday and the restaurants around the area as well as the Green Lemon were jammin'. Green lemon is a fun place! They have a nice happy hour and decent food. Their margs are OK, just a little sweet. I love to add flavors and they've been out of the raspberry for months, and last time I was there they were also out of the strawberry. The tacos are good. I'm a big fan of the KFT. Best part is honestly the chips and trio dip. It's a fun place to go before a night out or for drinks and apps. Always very crowded and typically filled with a younger crowd. Music is loud. I am a regular in Tampa and in all of my visits I had not been to Green Lemon. When I say everyone I know told me to go, I mean EVERYONE! We went during the afternoon because there is always a line outside in the evening. They don't take reservations but we went around 1:00 pm and there was plenty of room. We were sat quickly and got our orders in. For lunch I had the chips and lime salsa which was mild and easy to eat! It is definitely big enough to share and the chips were perfectly crispy. I also got the street taco trio with rice and beans. I got all three tacos with corn flour tortillas and will do that every time I'm back. My favorite taco was the carnitas, it came with an abundance of meat and was juicy and flavorful. The chile de arbol sauce had a kick to it which I loved but if you don't like spice I would get it on the side so you can add as much or as little as you like. My second favorite taco was the Shia labeef which is a spicy shredded brisket I didn't think the brisket was spicy so this would be safe to get. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't as juicy as the pork but am still eating it highly with the sriracha aioli on it. My third taco was the camarones or grilled shrimp. This tacos is coming in third just because it did not have as much flavor as the first two, but it had an amazing salsa on it, the charred jalapeño salsa and was cooked perfectly. Came here for dinner while visiting Tampa for the weekend. We went on a Saturday night around 6pm and it was already very busy, we waited about an hour to be seated. It's a cool little place inside just be prepared for the vibe- it was LOUD and there was a live DJ (although he was playing great music so I didn't mind at all), and definitely a younger crowd. The food was surprisingly fantastic! We started with chips, salsa, and queso (always the quickest way to judge a Mexican restaurant and they were very good). They offer a variety of margaritas in 3 different sizes but we stuck with the regular size and it was a strong pour. We were seated on the table and greeted by our server Bridget with the menus. From menu we first ordered the Sangrita Drink and along with the drink we ordered Fitness Bowl and Shrimp Taco Bowl. We soon got our Sangrita Drink. The drink was good and cold drink. The service was again good and soon we got our bowls. As a black woman, i loved the customer service i received at green lemon last night. I couldn't get the name of my server but he was a young white male. The last few restaurants i've been too picked a chosen who they gave good service to. I can vouch green lemon is NOT like that and they give great service to everyone . I love Green Lemon. In my heart, it's a 10/10 because of the vibes and DJs and margs. Practically, it's probably a 3.5. The food is pretty good, and they've changed the menu a lot over the years. My favorite right now is the crispy trees! They're a great starter, and they could be eaten for your entire meal. The nachos are a great starter, and we've actually started getting that instead of chips and dip. They've added tofu to the menu in recent years, but it's hit or miss for me. I've had the tofu be really well marinated and juicy, and then I've had some not great and dry tofu. The service is also hit or miss. Because Green Lemon is so busy, the wait staff get pulled a lot of different directions. And, sometimes, you can feel that. You also can't always hear the people that you're with, because the restaurant is a little clubby (but they play GREAT music - you won't be mad). It's better to go for happy hour or lunch, because it's not as loud. I will always recommend the margaritas. I know they aren't the best margaritas and won't win prizes, ok? But one and you're done, because they're very strong and a second should not be drank unless you are trying to get lit. read more

Going there once was not enough. From walking in the door getting a great greeting, the help not only helps the customers but helps each other. All were very aware of what the needs of any in the restaurant were and attended to them. The food was excellent, and the drinks looked great, I was the driver so unable to enjoy but all who had them loved them. If you want typical Mexican food this is not a step above but a story above. I walked super carefully from the bar to the table trying not spill anything because it was enormous. The service was delightful, welcoming and attentive.
