I love tacos, and I really enjoyed the street tacos I had here yesterday. I ordered three with a side and had the KUNG FU'D TUNA, CARNITAS, and ANCHO CHICKEN, all in seasoned flour tortillas and the side salad. My favorite was the tuna (next time I'm getting three of these) and the side salad was delicious. I could have had a little larger salad topped with the tuna and been completely happy with that. As a Texan, i usually don't try Mexican food outside of texas, but I am glad I did. Saw this place when visiting Tampa and very glad I stopped. It was very busy when we walked in but the wait was less then 5 minutes. We ordered the trio dip as an appetizer and the guacamole and queso were amazing! So fresh and absolutely delicious. The vibe in the restaurant was amazing. I was told to try the strawberry margarita and it was delicious and refreshing. Our server Nicholas was amazing, fast, and overall attentive. Green Lemon is for many the go to spot for taco Tuesday myself included. It does get packed almost daily though so either go earlier or prepare to wait. I will say thought that the service is incredibly fast and your food and drink will arrive quickly which is great because who doesn't like fast service. The vibe there is also great especially after 8pm. That is when it's only 21+ and they have a DJ playing some good tunes. Now the food I very much enjoy too. I pretty much love all the tacos they have but my favorite is the carne asada. The beef is tender and flavorful. I also enjoy their chips and guac and their fries. This is my first time at Green Lemon in a while. We came here for a post-work lunch. I enjoyed a house margarita on the rocks and two tacos. The margarita was good. I loved the tacos I ordered my favorite was the KFT or Kristy Fried Chicken Taco, I can see why it's a favorite here. It was so flavorful and the I loved the crunch of the chicken. I also had the asada taco, which was also good. The service was fast and attentive. They took our orders right away and easily checked us out using their Toast machines. I wish every restaurant used them, it makes check out much faster. The ambiance was good, it wasn't too crowded and we got seated right away. 5 Stars for the best bowl I've had in a while! I was visiting the area and got a bowl for takeout and I can honestly say I've been thinking about this bowl ever since. I know, a bowl?? Really??? But, yeah. It's THAT good! I ordered the shrimp taco bowl ($16) which normally comes with grilled shrimp, Napa cabbage, crisp lettuce, black beans, corn, pico de gallo, diced jalapeños, guacamole; drizzled with lime Caesar dressing and topped with tortilla strips. I opted out of the jalapeños and chose the cilantro-avocado rice base (you can pick from Mexican rice, jasmine rice, cilantro-avocado rice, brown rice, or spinach-romaine raddichio mix). For $16, I was expecting a lot. And luckily, it delivered! The bowl was big enough that I couldn't finish it in one seating (and I was absolutely famished), and the shrimp was char grilled perfectly. Besides that, the rice was cilantro perfection and the toppings tasted fresh. By the time I was done, I legit told my dining partner that I wish they had a Green Lemon near me. Yum yum yum I really enjoyed this restaurant! My bf LOVES tacos and will eat them all the time. I just 'like' tacos so I'm not as big a fan as him. But Green Lemon was able to satisfy us both, he had tacos and I had a bowl. I chose the Fajitas Fiesta Bowl and he had the three choice tacos. The meat was tender, sauces were amazing, flavorful veggies, and good rice and beans. We also got complimentary chips and salsa. The customer service was great, we had a younger gentleman serve us and he was really helpful when it came to questions on the menu. It was pretty busy but he tended to us often and never forgot or missed anything. The establishment was clean and organized, I love places that are well maintained! Whether it's Taco Tuesday or any day, I love Green Lemon! Located in the Soho area, they are right in the mix of everything going on day or night time. This recent trip, we went for lunch. We started with the Trio Dip, which normally comes with salsa, guac, and queso, but my husband is not a big fan of guac, so I swapped out the guac for an additional queso for him. To drink, we both started with the 16oz Green Lemon margaritas. He got lime flavor with sugar on the rim, and I mixed strawberry and mango with sugar on the rim. Later in the meal I ordered a second margarita and got the 24oz Green Lemon margarita with strawberry and mango. For lunch, I had the Bradley Buster bowl with the cilantro-avocado rice. He had the Street Trio where you choose any three tacos and your choice of a side. He got the Shia Labeef, KFT, and Cerdo Perfecto with the side of rice and beans. I came here once before, however never got a chance to eat because the wait time was so long. This time we were a party of four and we came here in the afternoon, it was still very busy but we were seated right away. We got the bottomless chips and salsa and the crispy trees as apps. The crispy trees were amazing, basically fried broccoli but the best I have ever tasted anywhere. For the main course I shared Quesadilla, did not get any meat, just with the beans and cheese. You really can't forget Green Lemon when it comes to top tier Tampa restaurants. One stop all you need in a Mexican American joint. Some of the best margaritas in the city, a plentiful variety of tacos that are all fantastic in their own regards. My personal favorites are the Ancho Chicken and Carne Asada. Immaculate chips seasoned to perfection, and trio dip is to die for. I will say that the guacamole and queso are out of this world BUT the salsa could use some work. I think that's the only negative comment I have about Green Lemon. Salsa is just ok. However, the Brussel Sprout bowl is wicked good and I don't even like vegetables... I've been coming to Green Lemon for at least 6 years as my go to Mexican spot. The ambiance and service never disappoints and even though it is always slammed I get my food and drinks in a timely manner. It's hard for me to go to any other Mexican spots in Tampa because in the back of my mind I am always thinking, "I'd rather just go to Green Lemon". Service 4/5 I came here on a Saturday night with a friend and told the wait was 90 minutes, which was understandable considering it was a Saturday night. If I were to rank my selections, which were all fantastically crafted on handmade soft corn tortillas, they would place: 1) Kung Fu'd Tuna, 2) Pescado Taco, and 3) Carne Asada Remix. I arrived early ahead of my lunch companions as we were celebrating a colleagues retirement, and they do not take reservations. Initially the male hostess was a jerk saying they did not move tables around for large parties and my group of eight would have to be split up. Another hostess quickly came to the rescue and accommodated us. I blame the Soho signature margaritas for never getting the jerk face male hostess name. Came on a Monday night to celebrate finishing an exam! The place was still quite busy for a Monday night but our server, Mimi, was absolutely fantastic.
