The team arrived on time and the guys were professional and ensured the furnishings were well padded and covered to minimize risk of damage. They took care to ensure there was no damage to the house during the move out. I originally told Pat that I needed storage of the items for about two weeks. Unfortunately, the work on the interior took nearly four weeks. Pat was extremely accommodating and made no fuss about the added time. His crew came back in when the house was "refreshed" and got everything back into place, again, taking great care not to damage the new floor and the newly painted walls. I strongly warn other customers to be very careful before hiring this moving company. Based on my…read moreexperience, the pricing was not transparent, the move was extremely slow, and the overall process became a total disaster. I hired them to move a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with a baby grand piano. The final cost was almost $4,000, which I believe is extremely overpriced for this type of move. The original quote is less than $2000. The movers did continue working, but the pace was very slow. The full move took about 17 hours, far beyond the original 8-hour booking, which resulted in significant additional charges. The piano moving fee was especially frustrating. The listed piano moving charge was $320, but at the end of the day, I was told that the $320 only covered two hours of work. Because three people were involved, the piano took about four hours, and additional fees were added, the piano move alone ended up costing around $1,000. This was not clearly explained upfront, and I consider this a hidden-fee issue. The piano move also did not seem efficient. It took three people about four hours to move the baby grand piano. From my previous experience with professional piano movers, the same type of work took no more than about one hour. This made me question whether they had the right level of piano-moving expertise. The move was also not easy for us as customers. They asked us to move some valuable items ourselves, such as screens, because wrapping and moving them might take longer. As a result, while they were packing and moving, we were also carrying items ourselves. It felt like we became additional unpaid movers during a move that we had already paid professionals to handle. They also used large reusable cloth boxes and required us to empty and return them during the move. This meant that while they were moving other items into the house, we had to clean out and organize those large boxes ourselves. This added a lot of extra physical work and stress. My previous movers used disposable wardrobe or cloth boxes, which made the process much easier. Their labeling was also very poor. They appeared to reuse old boxes that already had marker labels on them, and they did not consistently label every box. Some boxes had missing labels, while others had incorrect or unclear labels. Because of this, we spent the rest of the week trying to figure out where our belongings were. The move was not thorough either. Even after we told them to move an entire room, we still had to take another trip back to collect many small items they left behind. This created more work, more time, and more frustration after an already exhausting move. Overall, this was a terrible moving experience. The final price was much higher than expected, the piano fee was not clearly explained, the move took far too long, and we still had to do a lot of work ourselves before, during, and after the move. I would not hire this company again, and I would warn anyone considering them to think carefully, get every fee in writing, and compare other options first.
