The only reason that I will not give this restaurant a five star rating is because of the staff's poor customer service or lack thereof. Shame, really. I'll have to reassess when we go there next time because I feel that I might have been favorably biased towards Thai Food in general. Living in Rancho, most of the restaurants are "American" or chain. Thinking that we were going to get yet another hamburger or salad, I was thrilled that we discovered this place when seeing all of the typical restaurants in the area were super crowded. When asked, "Do you want to go to Fatburger of here?" I did not hesitate to pick the Thai (not that there is anything wrong with Fatburger, as far as I know). The servers were really friendly, making sure that we had everything we needed. I was happy that they had a tray of spicy concoctions instead of just giving us a cup of sriracha. First, I love sriracha (I dip Fritos in it), but sometimes I want more heat and different kinds of heat. Second, the way I use hot sauce, having a whole tray avoided my usual timid request for more (although I am sure that they had to refill the containers once I left). We started out with the R.C. Shrimp Get Dressed (shrimp and glass noodles wrapped in wontons and then fried). We were so hungry that I forget the finer details of the dish, only remembering that I like it. I ordered the Green Mango Duck Delight (roasted duck on sauteed spinach). I was happy because I didn't even need rice with the dish (although, I kinda messed up trying to be "healthy" with that appetizer. Saying this, I feel a bit like someone who orders a supersized fast food meal and makes up for it by ordering a Diet Coke). Anyway, I really liked the duck. My only issue was my own: duck does not seem to be the kind of dish that holds up very well if heated up the next day (at least this has not been my experience). If I got it next time, I would forgo the appetizer and just stick to the entree. My boyfriend got a beef dish (forget which one). He said he liked it except for the abundance of basil (he's not a basil fan- perhaps why we don't eat Thai food together very much). He did think the beef was cooked well. I tried it and loved the sauce. Again, to be less biased, I would like to try this place when: 1) I wouldn't kill for Thai food because it has been so long and 2) When I wasn't so hungry that I would have thought Del Taco was fine dining. read more

This is more of a public service announcement. I work for a very popular food delivery service and as I arrived I notified the employee of the name I was picking up an order for. As I was waiting for the order I witnessed one of their employees remove their mask and sneeze into her hand. She then placed the mask back on and proceed with business. I watched her attend the cash register and attempt to have contact with another customer entering the establishment. I stopped her right there I said " ma'am I watched you sneeze in your hand and proceed to make contact with other surfaces and conduct customer interaction without washing your hands". She looked shocked! I advised I did not feel safe with the food from their establishment being in my vehicle, and most importantly delivered to my customer. I contacted the platform immediately and advised them of the issue. I will contact cdc for further inspection of this merchants health standards during a pandemic. I worked in the restaurant industry for years and this behavior and overall lack of cleanliness is absolutely unacceptable. As customers came in I advised of what I witnessed and some seemed unbothered, but that is their prerogative. I personally would never step foot in that establishment as a patron or a member of a food delivery platform. Please be warned and stay safe! ***update*** A complaint has been filed with the San Bernardino county public health office and they will be investigating further. read more

We ate here for the first time last night and we weren't impressed AT ALL. Although the food was delicious, the service SUCKED!!! We had a party of 12 and gratuity of 17% was automatically added to our bill, which is generally not a big deal, but our servers did not deserve a 17% tip. We sat in the "pit" where we had to remove our shoes and sit on the floor. It was an interesting experience, and a bit more comfortable than it sounded. There was a lot of variety of choices on the menu. But our soups and appetizers didn't come out first like we expected, rather everything came out at (almost) the same time. One of our entrees didn't come out until about 15 minutes after the first dish was served. The wildest part of our experience was when we received our check. They split the check in two but there was no method to their madness. Some items were on one check while other items (from the same person/family) were on the the check. Additionally, there were no descriptions on the check, just prices, so we had a very hard time breaking down the checks. Lastly, they don't tell you this until you dissect the check but they charge you extra for rice that would usually come with an entree. Perhaps it wouldn't have been as confusing and the service would have been better with a much smaller party of maybe 2, but I would never return with a party of 5 or more. read more

Came here on a Sunday lunchtime - 6 adults, 4 babies. We came here because Thai is normally an affordable quick option for lunch. W R O N G! Worst service ever!! A quick lunch turned into a 2 hour test of our patience. Our meals arrived at all different times - my husband finishing his entire meal before I received mine. I finished mine before our friends received theirs. Half empty - dried out rice bowls. Panang curry with literally only 2 slices of peppers. Tasted ok but they had additional up-charges for everything. Over $40 for 2 meals. Seriously overpriced and not worth the wait! And to top it all off their computer system "went offline" as we were waiting to pay our bill. No one explained anything - we were just waiting and waiting and waiting to sign our bill. So disappointed after coming here. I ordered chicken pad Thai and cream cheese wontons. The wontons had so little cream cheese in them, you could barely taste it! There were 7 wontons but between all of them there was probably enough cream cheese for 3 "regular" ones. The pad Thai was a huge portion which I appreciated but very little flavor. Pad Thai should be sweet and this was so bland. The noodles should have a caramel color and most of them were still white, which would explain the lack of flavor. Without tip, it was about $20 for those two items. Had it tasted right and had more cream cheese, I wouldn't have cared about the price but I definitely didn't feel i got my monies worth. My wife and I found this place just after we returned from a vacation from Thailand. We have been eating here for several years now and this place is awesome. If you are looking for great Thai food that is as authentic as it gets in the Inland Empire then this is the place for you. We usually only eat vegetarian dishes and the choo-chee chaopraya curry with all veggies is unbeleivably good. You have to order it. The Tom Ka Pak soup and the papaya salad are also absolute must orders. I'm not really sure why this place has only a 3.5 stars rating, because this place is one of the best thai places in the Inland Empire and we eat at a lot of them. I also think that it is pretty authentic thai food. Maybe because we order all vegetarian dishes our perspective is a bit different then most other customers. We have tried several other dishes that have meat with friends of ours who do eat meat and I must admit the vegetable dishes are much better....but we are biased. I have been here countless times. Granted, I work down the street so it is easy for me to get here, but it's still a decent place. Prices, HELLO! It's in Rancho Cucamonga!! You want cheap?? Going inside, you feel like you've been transported to Thailand itself. Great atmosphere. That's not the reason for the two star. We ordered the Thai rendition of lettuce wrap. The actual filling itself is very dry(they said that's how they make it). My wife actually tried some hit chili sauces to make it taste better but all it got her was a spicy pallete. We finally had to ask for some peanut sauce to make it go smoothly down our throat. The second dish was the pineapple fried rice, normally they add curry powder to this dish, however we asked to not put it in. The digs was exemplary, one we actually liked and served on a carved out pineapple, which was a plus for us for ingenuity. Third dish was Drunken noodle. The dish consist of flat noodles, soy sauce, and veggies(which was fresh and tasty). It was another dish we also liked. Lastly, we had the Garlic chicken. It consist of white chicken breasts, lots of garlic, lots of veggies. The chicken was a little dry,I don't know if it's the chef or the actual style of the dish that was missing the mark. This place has come a long way! I first came when it opened like 7 or 8 years ago and there was no flavor to anything, it was over-priced and I felt like my party of 10 was rushed out. With the recommendation of one of my friends, I tried it out again and left pleasantly surprised. I love the distinct Thai flavor and the rich sauce of anything with the prefix "angry" or "drunken." There are tons of lunch specials so just about anyone should be satisfied. I'm not yet convinced that its better than some of my favorite Thai spots, but I am definitely coming back :) read more

We went to this place with family (we're from orange county) and I really enjoyed this place. Their Beef panang is pretty yummy, different from normal thai places and actually tastes a little more like indian curry.. i want to say there is masala powder or a hint of cumin. Anyway, my family got the tom yom soup, beef, chicken and shrimp fried rice, the noodle glaze delight (pad see ew) , dancing crispy duck, and a chicken and beef panang. Everything was great, but I would say I've had better pad see ew. The rice is very simple, yet flavorful and you can definitely taste the white pepper (at least I could). The crispy duck was sooo good! I normally do not like the taste of duck but this was drenches in a sweet thai sauce and it was delish. the skin was really crispy and the dish had chunks of pineapple in it. It was a little pricey for thai food, i'm sure I could find it a lot cheaper but the tastes were all unique. At night, when I went, its dimly lit and kind of romantic, good for dates or an intimate dinner with friends. The decor is very Thai but not overdone, pretty classy actually. Had been past this place a lot, but this is the first time going in. The atmosphere is beautiful- they have a nice seated area to do traditional dining, and the service is okay, not great. We went in and there was only one other couple seated, but it got busier by the time we left. Funny thing is when you're eating and the staff is sitting at one of the booths reading or chatting. Food was okay- I like Thai Diamond better. Tom Yum Gai soup was good but a little on the pricey side, it came in a large bowl vs. the volcano thing too. Pad See Ew was okay, the portion was a bit skimpy and then the garlic chicken was dry. Eating here is like eating Chinese food at Panda Express, you're not going to get much Thai authenticity, but it's a pass since IT IS Rancho Cucamonga we're talking about (you're pretty much in a developing city, and it's not an Asian community). Americanized Thai food at its best; most of their dishes are sweet and salty. Their lunch specials come with a small salad, a bowl of "salt water", I call it that because it's really salty with no flavor, and a little piece of cream cheese fried wonton. This place was just opened for a week. It used to be a Mexican restaurant called Mi Tortilla. I guess someone bought it and remodelled it to a Thai bistro. This restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, good easy listening music, sophisticated Thai decorations, nice chinawares and great service. The price of the food is a bit pricey. It's about $10-$15 a plate but the portion is small and not as generous as the Sanamluang or Mix bowl cafe in Indian Hills. However, the service was outstanding and I'm more concern about quality over quantity. So, I'm okay with that. The owner was even talking to us. He was a nice gentleman. We ordered Mi Krob, Tom Yum Koong w/ shrimp, grilled beef salad, spicy basil fried rice and one of their signature dish premium grilled beef with mango special sauce. I love all dishes atlhough the portion is really small, but it was just enough for the two of us. lucky we ordered quite a lot of varieties, otherwise it wouldn't be about enough. My husband and I can eat a lot.... :P In any event, the mi krob is excellent. It's like crispy rice noodle mix with tamarind sauce and some chicken and shrimp. It was sweet and sour. The tom yum soup was served in a small bowl for the two of us. They are using a big shrimp (10/20 size). The soup is good although it was more on the sweet side. My husband loves the beef salad which is very similar to the main dish that I ordered (premium grilled beed with special sauce) I wished the server would let us know. That way we could try something different. This was the only dish that we didn't enjoy. For drinks, I ordered the whole coconut juice and my husband ordered the thai iced tea. The coconut meat was so tender and sweet. It was good. (Sometimes when the meat is too tough, you can barely scrape it let along to enjoy it.) We spent about $65 for our late lunch and a little over 20% for the tips bcoz they were very attentive to us as we were the only table at that time. It was great and I don't hesitate to recommend this place to friends and others. However, remember they are more on a pricey side. Ps. The bathroom is a bit dissapointing. Considering they spend a lot of money to remodel the dining room and the patio, they neglect the bathroom. It was plain white with orange floor. The food here was fantastic, I had some sort of veggie chicken salad with lime vinaigrette. Portion size of one plate was definitely big enough for two. I also had the mango and sticky rice for dessert. My only gripe is that the service was pretty bad. Decided to pull in here for an early dinner and try something new, especially since its right around the corner from my house. I was the only person in there for half an hour then a few couples came in. Servers were attentive to myself and other guests. The decor is nice and traditional from what i would say. They also have a patio area that faces N/S so there is no hiding from the sun. Only thing I would change is the playlist, it just doesn't fit. I guess you would call it lounge music. Had some country music mixed in there too. As my only my second time having Thai food I cant really compare on authenticity of it, but I did enjoy the food. The portion was clearly designed for 2, but I did my damndest to pound it down. I would of had another serving of rice but as each bowl cost $1.50 i kept it at 1. Not sure why the meal doesnt come with rice. I mean its just not the same without the rice, right??? The thai tea was very good. Figured I could get a refill but apparently thats a no no. Overall a decent place. A little too expensive for my taste. Ended up paying $18 for some chicken and beef dish rice and a drink for myself. Food was great, service was just... what. We were sat down in a corner booth and handed are menus immediately. Servers were just walking around kind of aimlessly and walking. When my party needed an extra bowl of rice, two servers walked out with a bowl and put them on our table but took one away a minute later upon realizing their mistake. That being said, the pad thai and thai BBQ chicken were REALLY good. I like my noodles a little on the sour side, so take that info as you will.
