My brother and i saw this place driving back from an event off of Richmond Hwy, across from Mazda car dealership. As you walked in, the hostess/cashier stand is on your left, buffet line in front of you, small sushi station far left side, hibachi grill on behind buffet line and soup station on far right side. Some of the items were a hit and miss. They offer a large seafood iced tray filled with cocktail shrimp on the left and oysters on the right. I'm not an oyster fan but as I was walking by, I actually didn't see any oyster inside the open face shells. It's surely a AYCE and there's unlimited possibilities of combinationsThey also have steamed crabs and a full bar. All staff members were friendly and knowledgeable.

Lots of great choices including crawfish, shrimp, pork ribs, soups and dessert. Nice that crawfish wasn't overcooked and hot. A real lunch bargain at around $16 after tax and tip. I didn't even make it to sushi bar and Mongolian BBQ after the seafood.

I give Green Olive four stars for variety and value. They have an amazing array of foods, from sushi, to seafood, including oysters on the weekend, a Mongolian grill station, soups made to order, classic Chinese dishes, and much more. Quality is commensurate to prices. I usually go when I don't know what I'm in the mood for and don't want to commit to an a la carte restrictive lunch, and I'm never disappointed.

I'm wondering if I hit an off day or maybe it's just a change in things. I went in with decent expectations as some other buffets have missed the mark. I felt like this didn't quite meet the expectations. Food was a mix. I tried a number of things to try and get the lay of the land and kept narrowing down what I wanted more of. There were a lot of items that were fairly cold. Another few seemed to have an off taste to me, but that could come down to personal preference. The staff was friendly and attentive from the interaction I had. Items were kept full at the buffet. The couple of things I did specifically go back for I thought were good.

The restaurant management is extremely unprofessional and forces customers to add a tip to the final bill.

I visited this place today. All the foods are cold, all employees on the phone, very limited choice of food. Very unpleasant experience.

The food was overall flavorless and the variety was lacking. I do hope it has improved since renovating.

You really get a lot with your order. The fried shrimp I ordered was an order of 20 shrimp and came with two sides and a canned drink. The portions were big. James even threw in an extra drink. Chatted with James while I ate and enjoyed the conversation. He's such a nice guy with a great personality. He truly cares about the community he serves. The one and only disappointment was they were out of Mac n cheese. I really wanted some Mac n cheese! lol

It's a cute food truck parked in a church parking lot, and I was hype to eat. And just to be clear--I do not believe in reheating catfish. We dove straight into our styrofoam platters and were both pleasantly surprised. The catfish was fried to crispy perfection. Flavor-wise, it's no Aunt Glenda (let's be honest, who is?), but it was still solid. Personally, I'll always prefer my catfish with grits--just saying. We both ordered the greens and macaroni--yes, we failed to diversify, don't judge us. The greens were okay. The mac? Also okay. Being from the South, my taste buds for soul food come with high expectations and a very judgmental palate. Would I go back? Absolutely--especially if they start offering grits. Oh, and the portions are huge. You definitely get your money's worth. Go check them out and support the catfish cause.

Service can be a little hit or miss but we have never had any major issues and most of the time it is attentive. We always get multiple sea boils and an assortment of the fried foods for our family of 6 and the portions are plentiful. For the boils we order the hot special Cajun which really is not spicy at all but the flavor is good. The shrimp are good size and the crab is cooked well. The fried food has always been hot and fresh. Personally, I do not love the cocktails as they are on the sweeter side so I usually have a beer or soda. The prices are great for the amount of food you get, probably the best in the area.

Usually I don't do reviews so late after but I just remembered our horrible experience. The seafood boil sauce was tasteless and oily, everything else extremely greasy or cheesy (I actually did like the fries though). The service was beyond terrible-- and I remember this from the first time we came last year or so too. We tried to flag down our server on multiple occasions for stuff and they were nowhere to be found. After we paid our bill, they gave us 1 container and no bag... We were looking for someone to help us for like 10 minutes and there was no one anywhere to be found we finally were looking around the host stand (no one there either) and there was a couple waiting for the rest of their food. They saw how distraught we were about getting a bag to line the outside of our saucy seafood boil bag and they just gave us theirs, thank their kind souls. Will not come back unless this is the only place open for business for some reason. The food isn't inedible, the service is just horrendous; no one wants to work here.

Seated right away in a beautiful room. Wished the fireplace was on, but the room was lovely nonetheless. If you visit in the winter and are cold easily, you might bring a shawl. We ordered brunch, starting with the skillet cornbread. Serving was small but perfect size for our party of 3, ladies. Delicious! I enjoyed my omelette and appreciated that the chef made my potatoes without peppers and onions. Omelette was yummy and big enough to take some home. We ordered an extra entree of the Mac & Cheese for the table and it was delicious! It came with green beans that were very yummy. We were disappointed that the attached store was closed during our visit (I think for inventory). But a great excuse to come back in the future for brunch and shopping. The wait staff was lovey and attentive. I highly recommend this charming venue for brunch or an event (the party rooms near the dining area were very nice.)

We repeated everything, and then the wait started. About 20 minutes later, the kids' food showed up... but still no drinks. We reminded her, she said she'd check, and then nothing. After 45 minutes of waiting on drinks, we finally had to get the manager involved just to get something as basic as beverages. Meanwhile, tables that came in after us were getting their drinks without any issue. The worst part? When it was time to pay, the waitress literally took the handheld device out of my hands and gave herself a 5-star rating. That crossed the line from poor service into zero integrity. The manager was the only saving grace here and did step in to help, but overall this experience was unacceptable. Definitely not coming back.
