Crispy fish Red Curry style "Thai Hot"
    Cheri Y.

Came here for lunch one day after one of my husbands employees, who loves this place, recommended it. When I got there, there was no one there but me. The waiter was super talkative & begin telling me all about how they were short on staff & he was working two shifts bla bla bla... I ordered a fish dish, I asked for Thai Hot. I explained I LOVE it spicy HOT. The hottest so there would be NO misunderstanding. I ALWAYS make it VERY clear I LOVE spicy & want it THAI HOT. Anyhoo, the restaurant is indeed lovely like my husbands employee says, however the food was not good. My fish dish was so boring & NOT hot at all. Plus, the fish was so thin that it curled up. WOW. And to add insult to injury, the waiter just kept on talking and talking and talking, I never said anything & by the time I gave up on the peaceful lunch break, he started apologizing for the "Ted Talk" WOW. The food was mediocre at best & the service was super uncomfortable, unprofessional, and way too much information. I don't want to know all the employee's experience & details or the shortcomings of the restaurant, the failures of the employers & how bad you hate your job. Customers want professional service not unwanted rants/saboteur's negative information about their restaurant. Will never return.

Very nice atmosphere with speedy and attentive service. Still new to the area and trying to find our go to sushi place. This place is good but lots of fried options for the sushi and not enough fresh raw fish in the specialty rolls. Overall, the rolls were good and very well done. The krab rangoons were different tasting than I'm used to but still tasty. I'd like to try the non sushi menu because I think that's where this place will shine.

beautiful ambiance with plenty of seating for big groups. Relatively quick service and a multitude of options. I got the pagoda noodles which was great. Definitely couldve used a little more spice but that's on me.

The food was amazing! The peppercorn tuna particularly was perfectly cooked and the sauce was delightful. They had great mocktails and regular cocktails too. The restaurant itself is really cute and has a great feel! Service was great and friendly!

Food was great, but the service is what will keep us from coming back. In their defense, it was a little bit busy. We waited about 20 minutes after being sat for someone to come and greet us (i wanted to get up and leave at that point). The table was sticky which is a huge pet peeve for us. We ordered two appetizers and two entrées, but the entrées came out before the appetizers and you could tell they forgot to ring it in because they started scrambling. We had to ask three times for silverware once our food came because we had nothing to eat with! So frustrating. I also had to ask twice for soy sauce for my sushi and it seemed like they couldn't find it. Bonus, 'restaurant' is spelled wrong on their big sign outside.

What a great new find! Asian Fusion is among our favourites when it comes to 'types' of food, and we have been looking for some new places to try out. Green Pagoda did not disappoint! Well, I say that and you probably notice I only gave them 4 stars ~ the reason that I took one star off of what would have been a 5 star review, was because their sushi menu lacks enough variety compared to their competition. I don't think I've been to any thai / sushi / Korean / Japanese places at least in Tampa Bay, that didn't have a Tampa roll on the menu. Most of the 'fish' rolls were tuna, salmon and shrimp. Between that and the fact that they didn't believe me when I said that I wanted my food thai hot or the only reasons that I gave the rating I gave. The ambiance was top-notch, and the service was beyond great! Our server Austin was charismatic, helpful and very cheerful. He seemed to like his job and that is something sorely lacking at a lot of restaurants. He was very attentive, as were a couple of the other servers who came by to offer us freshwater and extra napkins. We jumped into our dishes so quickly that I forgot to take pictures until we were mostly done. We got a crab rangoon order to split for an appetizer and it was some of the best I've had anywhere. It actually had tons of crab in it in addition to the cream cheese which most places use more than anything else. I could also taste the scallion which was nice. Even the fold on the Rangoon was different than most places! I ordered the Sizzling Flank Steak (which was funnily under the fish section), with roasted veggies, and I ordered a side of white rice. The veggies could have been roasted a tad longer but all in all it was very fresh tasting and delicious. My better half ordered the Pork Belly Clay Pot, and devoured it. Before he did so I took a taste and it was scrumptious, and it's not something that I would normally enjoy as much as him. All said, I highly recommend this place and we are very much looking forward to returning for another meal VERY soon! Oh and ladies, the bathroom was as immaculately clean as the rest of the establishment!

First time here and had a lovely time. Adequate parking outside; spacious and beautifully decorated interior. Very attentive staff. We got CHANG beers! Yassss. Our favorite Thai beer, ice cold to start. Then we ordered the pork belly hot pot and sizzling duck. That hot pot HIT IT. Whoa. Outstanding. Juicy in what seemed to be a sticky soy-based sauce, rice perfectly caramelized at the bottom. BIGGEST pork belly pieces I've ever seen in my life. All so perfectly cooked. The sizzling duck was beautifully cooked as well, but wish it had more of the curry sauce. Was not enough to wet a starchy rice side. Still delicious though and LOVED the amount of big carrots and green beans it came with. Will definitely come back!

Green Pagoda is super cute and fun inside. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the food was great! To start the crab rangoon and dumplings were delicious! The pork spring rolls were good but standard. The duck was amazing and the lobster of the lobster risotto was so good, it had a great grilled flavor and was cooked well, the curry sauce was delicious but the risotto was just okay. My friend found his sesame chicken to be lacking but my husband thoroughly enjoyed his sushi rolls - the rainbow and fire dragon rolls.

For $20 felt portion was on smaller side and food was pretty underwhelming. Sesame chicken was dry and rice was mushy - indication that both were overcooked. The sauce was not very good either. Place was very nice inside and the staff was friendly, but it was dead perhaps that is why.

I stumbled upon this amazing little restaurant while traveling for work. Upon entering, I was stunned by the decor. The restaurant is beautiful. Emerald green seating with gold accents. A well appointed bar and excellent playlist rounded out the ambiance. I dined on a Sunday night, it was quiet with only a couple of other guests. The service was great. My server was attentive and gave wonderful recommendations. I chose the spicy shrimp dumplings to start. They were flavorful, but lukewarm and not spicy at all. My entree was the snapper risotto with curry sauce. It was phenomenal. The fish was cooked perfectly. The risotto had edamame which was a nice addition. The portion was good. To cap it off I had an old fashioned. It was very good. Not too sweet with high quality bourbon. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

The inside of this restaurant is beautiful! Came for a late dinner on Saturday night and got sat quickly. They did sit everyone in the restaurant in a small area which seemed a little crammed. I enjoyed my party so much I did not even realize how the long it took for a server to come until a friend pointed it out. However, we all knew what we wanted once they came. All food was delicious and huge portions. However they came out staggered. The Pad Se Ew had a very very strong taste of basil which isn't a usual for me when eating Pad Se Ew so it was unexpected but still good. Servers were friendly. Almost all meals can be made gluten free or vegetarian! And the kitchen is MORE than happy to make any substitutions you want. I will be back!

We started with the dip trio (beet hummus, olive tapenade, and babaganoush with fluffy pita triangles), which was fantastic. Each dip had an awesome flavor, especially the beet hummus. We also got the tahini, date, and cashew salad and loved it. My husband isn't a salad guy and said he'd only have a bite, but then he ate half. The rich and spicy tahini mixed with the sweet date, creamy cashew, and fresh/crisp salad was such a great flavor combo. I will note, they go heavy with the tahini on the salad, but we weren't complaining. I got the zataar salmon for my main. A deliciously spiced zataar crust on top of a delicately flaky salmon made for a wonderful meal. My husband got the kafta en croute, which were ground lamb/beef meatballs surrounded by a flaky pastry and topped with pomegranate over a tahini sauce. I kept stealing bites (which was fine, there was plenty to share) it was so good and such a unique entrée! For drinks, they have uniquely spiced cocktails and mocktails. The drinks took longer to arrive than the food, but they were worth the wait. We were too stuffed for dessert, but next time we want to try their tiramisu (made with Turkish coffee and cardamom). We had a wonderful meal and will be back! The sad thing was that half the restaurant was empty. We think it's a unique addition to DTSP and is definitely worth checking out.
