No masks on Debbie or her food prep staff, questionable cleanliness, and when we were there on Tuesday, 10/27/20 customer seating was not socially-distanced. If you understand the scientific approach to a healthy diet you should understand that extra precautions for COVID may make it or break it for a lot of your regular customers. read more

Green Room Cafe- Cocoa Beach- 3.75-Stars Looking at my random name generator I thought to myself, "Cool, maybe it's an old-time Hollywood themed place," as I read the next name, The Green Room Cafe. With thoughts of the late, great Johnny Carson and the Green room we infrequently got a peek inside of where his guests mingled and apparently had access to a full bar. Remember that feeling when you were a kid opening a birthday present from Grandma and you are hoping for the latest GI Joe with all the trimmings only to find yet another hand-knitted ill-fitting ugly sweater? That's how I felt as I pulled up to The Green Room Cafe as it turned out to be another health food place that serves (gasp) açai! In case you are a new follower or missed my feelings on health food in a previous review let me inform/remind you that I feel the same way as Robert Redford when he said, "Health food may be good for the conscience but Oreos taste a hell of a lot better." However, as they say, "the show must go on" so I exited the BBDO mobile and headed inside. Once inside I was greeted warmly by the staff and shown to a table. Soon I was approached by a lovely young lady by the name of Kaelyn (spelling?) who was peppy, helpful and extremely attentive. With her suggestion, I went with an order of Raspberry tea, The Sunrise sandwich, and The Gold Coast wrap. Waiting for my order I couldn't help but pick up the vibe of the place. The walls were busy, yet relaxing and happy and the whole place made me feel like I wasn't in Brevard County anymore and not to knock Brevard, but that is a good feeling. It was almost like I was transported to a cafe hut overlooking the Banzai Pipeline for an afternoon of chill food and relaxing waves. The charming Kaelyn soon returned with my order and I must say, right off the start, the Raspberry tea is the real deal. It was straightforward, no added preservatives from scratch Raspberry tea and it was as delicious as it was refreshing. The Sunrise is their take on the standard tuna fish sandwich and what a take it is. With fresh everything including tuna, jalapenos, apples, alfalfa sprouts, red cabbage, romaine, tomato and carrot mixed with just the right amount of homemade spicy sauce then grilled to perfection it is the new King of tuna sandwiches. Long live the King! Oh, it also had some gluten-free chips on the side and some homemade salsa, if you're into that sort of thing. The salsa was fresh and delightful and while the chips were fine, they were unnecessary for me. Moving on to the Gold Coast Wrap. This was also spectacular (for tofu). The tofu was seasoned to perfection and grilled to the same standard. Accompanied by perfectly steamed brown rice, fresh carrots, mandarin orange slices, walnuts, red cabbage, spring salad mix and a Tamari ginger dressing this was too good to be health food. I had to open it up a little bit to peek inside to make sure it was tofu and not some other protein. This was served with the same gluten-free chips and homemade salsa as the Sunrise was and did I mention the salsa? It is really fresh and extremely flavorful with just the right amount of oomph to remind you it's salsa and not some kind of fancy ketchup. Overall I found the Green Room to be an eclectic happy dive with great service and above average health food. Honestly, it's almost too good to be called as such. It was such a pleasure to dine here. The staff was super friendly, the shop was clean , the restroom neat and tidy. Overall it was a great dining experience. The food was really great. It was a new experience that i was eager to try. The beyond beef burger was very filling, it was seasoned appropriately and dressed to impress. The name was also very nice! "The Rick Burger ".The garnishments along with chips /salsa was also a great addition. Aside from "The Rick Burger" I order a side dish , known as the Tropical Bowl, made with Acia berries, topped with granola/ bananas. My wife and I lucked out and happened to be staying close by during our stay in Cocoa Beach. This place is an absolute must try when in town. We were staying for 4 days and made 3 visits. The Inlet sandwich is awesome- definitely try it stacked and wrapped! Very friendly staff as well, and a quiet, laid back beach vibe top it all off. Highly, highly recommended! read more

Absolute worst service I've ever received. Food is not fresh & customer service is very slow & rude. The kitchen is in horrific condition with open food containers on the ground. After ordering a singular veggie burger I had to wait 45 minutes with minimal customers in the store. Before ordering the hostess began wrapping silverware in front of me for 15 minutes & had no intention of taking my order until I eventually spoke up & asked her to take my order. 0/5 would not recommend to anyone unfortunately. After receiving my food however, it was very good. I'm just not sure it was worth the service & time I had to go through to eat. read more

What a breath of fresh air for Cocoa Beach! I only wish I had found this gem earlier! Nonetheless will be visiting upon every other month visit to Cocoa Beach! Service is outstanding! Menu is broad and offers so many choices from vegan, to vegetarian, to delicious looking meaty sandwiches! So many healthy choices! All sandwiches are served with house made salsa and baked chips. My wife and I came down to the Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area a day early prior to our cruise departure and were looking for a place to grab a good meal. Being vegetarians, it's sometimes difficult to find a meal that we would call excellent while traveling. I went on Yelp and came across this little gem! The Green Room Cafe. WOW! It's super quaint and cozy. The menu was pretty extensive and had a nice selection of sandwiches, wraps and salads. We started with a bowl of the Vegetarian Chili which was phenomenal! Had to have the cheese and onions on top of course :) My wife got The Vejjo (veggie burger) which was excellent and full of flavor. I went with The Spanish House sandwich which had tofu with a smokey sauce and veggies - incredible! Both came with a side of Blue corn chips and tasty homemade salsa. The service was superb and everyone in the place was friendly. Presentation of the food was great. Prices are more than reasonable. Fantastic experience and I would recommend this to any vegetarian and/or open minded individuals that are looking for a delicious, refreshing and nutritious meal. On a trip from louisville, ky, a friend and I drove from Orlando for a beach day at cocoa beach. By the time we arrived mid-morning, we were both starved but wanted something that wouldn't ruin our "feel-good beach mojo". After spending a minute on yelp, we were drawn to the reviews and look of the green room cafe. From looking at the menu and yelp photos, I decided to go with the tropical bowl. This is a cold (very cold) dish that is truly remarkable. Basically the bowls are a smoothie topped with granola and fruit. I was hesitant to order it because I was already cold and preferred something warm, so I ordered a coffee. The organic coffee was so delicious and it warmed me up! A must try for coffee-lovers!! But back to the smoothie :) There are no words to describe how amazing it was except that it was fresh, light, filling, comforting, and we felt even better after we left than when we got there. Such delicious healthy food and something that I have thought about everyday (multiple times) since I've been back in Louisville. :p I would 100% recommend this place for anytime of day! The acai bowl I had was good, but a little too sweet. It could have been my fault. I got it with apple juice instead of soy milk. Our server was no fun. We tried asking which of the acai bows were her favorite and she got annoyed and rude real fast. This place has a great vibe though. The food was ok. My wrap came with dairy cheese even though I mentioned I was vegan at least 4-5 times when asking waitress about the menu and requesting non vegan cheese. She met me with a bit of a attitude and then I had to wait for my food while everyone else was eating. I finally received my "new" wrap after everyone was finished eating. Even though it looked like the same wrap I sent back, I was assured it was vegan cheese but promptly got a horrible stomachache after eating only half. The bill was quite high for just a small wrap and an iced tea. Parking was a bit of a problem as well. I do like that the produce was very fresh except for the salsa which was made from canned tomatoes. I drove up from Melbourne with high hopes after hearing all of my friends rave about it. It was so refreshing to see this place pop up! I have been coming to Cocoa Beach for 20+ years to visit family and eating out was always challenging as a vegetarian. I was usually limited to salads. There was ample street parking and it's in a great location. I like that they have an entire smoothie menu and plenty of hearty healthy salads to choose from. I got the Inlet sandwich and it was delicious. I wasn't thrilled with the prices, to be honest. $9+ for a sandwich and chips and salsa seemed as pricey as a run of the mill NY specialty shop and the portions didn't necessarily make up for it, either. Regardless, the sandwich was delicious. They have a lot of gluten free options, too! read more

Delicious food and great service. We enjoyed everything we ordered. They were careful to accommodate our vegan, and my vegan and gluten-free, preferences. They even customized some vegan tacos for my toddler. Our sandwiches were flavorful. The iced teas were tasty and refreshing. I do wish they had more offerings for sides to the sandwiches, but the chips and salsa was fresh and tasty. Everything was delicious... we were all clean platers, even my toddler. They even had gluten-free and vegan desserts! This is a rarity, so we ordered two to share. They were yummy. I ordered the green room smoothie and the Rubio sandwich. Both of which were customized to be vegan-friendly (no bee pollen in the smoothie and vegan cheese in the sandwich). Both were so good! Really like the food here and I have given this restaurant 5 stars before. They do a good job wearing masks but I wish they did not have the tables set up outside of the take out window. People sit there not social distancing and you have to walk by them to get your food. We visit this place at least once a week if not more. I've tried so many items on the menu, and none of them have ever disappointed. We've brought so many friends here, and they all love it! After arriving back at my hotel, I opened up my container of food and was pleasantly surprised at the hearty size of the wrap that had been grilled /pressed! It came with a side of blue tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was super fresh and popping with peppery flavor. My wrap was filled with really well seasoned diced tofu, walnuts, brown rice, shredded carrots, greens, those little oranges, and served with an amazing ginger dressing that was to die for. I had to relocate to this area from NJ where I am able to order out pretty much anything and to any diet specification I can think of. For me personally, I eat a pretty limited diet and this is THE ONLY restaurant in the area that I can eat out at. The prices are admittedly high; however, you get what you pay for. A predominantly organic, gluten free, dairy free, and most importantly, a delicious meal. The vibe inside is great, the staff are always great. I've never had a bad experience. I was in the area for work so I stopped in for takeout. Their menu is super healthy! They have options for the meat eaters and vegetarian. I got the chicken stew wrap. It was huge and very flavorful! It came with tortilla chips and salsa, the salsa was good but I'm a baby when it comes to heat so it was a little too spicy for me :) I also got a Greene smoothie- this is a must have if you're big into healthy smoothies! Sometimes I have to force myself to finish a super healthy smoothie but I could have had 5 of these, no problem! We on out first trip were not sure what was good so we stuck with some wraps and split them. AMAZING!! He went with the golden fold which has brown rice, carrots, pineapple, sesame seeds, spinach, cabbage & tofu. It's one of those places that has a menu full of "almost" vegan food. When you try to order something without the cheese or honey, you hear the record screech to a halt and everything goes silent. The food is edible, but nothing too awesome. Sysco products are used. So weird when an otherwise vegetarian place puts tuna on their menu. I have been coming to this cafe for the last couple of years after a co-worker introduced me. I frequent cocoa beach often for work and The Green Room Cafe is always a must on each trip. As a perpetual work traveler, it is a relief to find such great tasting, healthy food options at an affordable price. I really liked the chill atmosphere here. They serve non-veg and veg options, however, the lady at the host bar really knew her vegan options and was a huge fan of the vegan affair. I loved the local and acai bowl. Honestly, I'll always come back for "the local" sandwich. It's strange how peanut butter, bananas, pineapple, and granola can be an amazing mix and make me crave more! It's honestly one of the best sandwiches I've had and something I'll have to conjure myself in order to satisfy my cravings.
