Nim Chow With & WithOut Shrimp...both were the same.. had fat noodles, w/ a Piece of lettuce and thinly cut carrots..((.noodles should be very thin rice noodles, should contain basil or mint leaves..had zero)) The Fish sauce was Terrible, it was.all vinegar..( I make a better one at home!) Chicken Pad Thai.... Absolutely Terrible ..had to look for the chicken, noodles were very mushy..and was loaded with sweet chili sauce .. contained ZERO Pad Thai sauce which is a peanut sauce. Chicken wings.. were the best of the order and they were overcooked, & dry. Very very disappointed, never going back. $40.00 thrown out the window.

We went for lunch so it was not super busy; we were maybe one of two patrons inside. It was nicely decorated, and there was a TV above our table playing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. What a good movie! They served wonton chips with duck sauce, like chips and salsa. What a nice touch! I have never seen that before at an Asian restaurant. We ordered some general Tso's chicken and then one of sushi lunch specials, which came with two rolls and either a soup or salad. I chose the salad, which is like the ones you get at hibachi. It was drowning in that orange tangy sauce, but it was still good! The sushi was good, too. Not the best I have ever had, but still good. The whole meal was perhaps $25. That's crazy for the amount of food we got! Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My friends and I had all been to a hot pot…read morerestaurant in different states before, and were looking for a similar experience here in PVD. 12 dumplings and hot pot definitely did not disappoint!! Their menu selection is extensive and well priced! They also give rather large portion sizes, and have an " all you can eat" option starting at just $35 per person! They have a variety of options, including those for meat lovers and vegetarians alike! The addition of sesame balls and shrimp dumplings on the side is also a must, as they offer ( as the name says) various selections of delicious dumplings! In regard to the restaurant ambiance and layout, the Hot Pot section is located on the second floor and offers large tables with the heated pad for the hot pot. They also have a large selection of condiments and add-ons to the hot pot on the side of the restaurant. Lastly the servers were very kind and apologetic even after they gave us a non-fully vegetarian broth ( the mushroom name was misleading) and even offered to give us an entirely new pot. I thought this was very sweet and considerate of them. Overall, the experience at this restaurant was wonderful and we will definitely be back for more.

On a Friday evening, I went to 12 Dumplings with a group of three. We knew we wanted hot pot so we were instructed to go upstairs. The staff greeted us upstairs and were seated right away. We looked at the different options - AYCE hot pot and hot pot value combo meal. We went with the AYCE hot pot. There are 2 course options - A or B for a 2 hours time limit. Different items are included with each course option. The dipping sauce and fruit bar are included in both course options. The dipping sauce bar had many different options. The fruit bar included oranges and cantaloupe. Also, there was pickled radish and this was a great side. The A COURSE is $35.95/per person. First step is choosing a soup base. We went with half Japanese Style Pork Bone Broth and half Mala Beef Tallow Broth. We ordered all the seafood/ball options - Cuttlefish Ball, Shrimp Ball, Fish Ball, Fish Tofu, and Quail Egg. From the meat options, we ordered Chef Selected Beef, Australian Lamb, and Pork Belly. From the vegetables options, we ordered Napa Cabbage and Baby Bok Choy, From mushroom options, we ordered both the Enoki Mushroom and Black Fungus. From the tofu options, we ordered Fresh Tofu and Fried Tofu. From the noodles options, we ordered Glass Noodle and Ramen. All the items were very fresh and the staff were very attentive. They came by to refill the broth and ask if we wanted to order more. We all had a great time around a giant pot of flavored broth and took turns dipping in raw ingredients at 12 Dumplings. It is perfect on a winter day and we were stuffed. I can't wait to come back to try their dumplings and dim sum.

Downtown joint dabbling in both old school Chinese American classics and authentic dim sum. Most of…read morethe Yelp photos hit the dim sum, but most of the customers in the large room stick to memory lane. The place is divided into two halves: tiny bar and three rows of booths on one side; large tables with chairs on the other side. Combo plates available both at lunch (M-F) and dinner (any time). -- Sticky Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce Wings: Wow-worthy, with the darkest sauce I've ever seen, looking like someone poured Hershey's syrup on them. Characteristics of teriyaki, soy, and garlic, and intense sweetness, but all balanced and very different, and there may even be Hershey's in there afterall. More importantly, quite delicious. The wings themselves were really good too, bringing firm to crispy skins and tender, juicy interiors. The sauce hardens over time, so eat these fast. But you'll want to anyway. Near-elite to elite. -- Rice Noodle with Shrimp: Lackluster compared to other versions I've tried. Noodle not as fresh and slippery. Sauce not as flavorful. Shrimp were good but spaced out. Below average. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken (on a dinner combo): Ping pong sized/shaped balls of chicken instead of the usual fingers, but these were excellent. Very high meat to batter ratio, good crispness to the exterior, and decent tenderness inside. Sauce served in the side. No pineapples or cherries, but good contrasting flavors to the sauce and no glop. Well above average, even without the fruit. -- Pork Fried Rice (on the combo): A mixed bag, this had light grains with pleasant but subtle flavor, long-in-the-tooth dry pork nuggetry, and some onions. Flavorful or not, that rice had freshness, moistness, and bounce. All things considered, a little above average, but with potential for higher. -- Egg Roll (on the combo): Felt limp to the touch but had a delicate crispness to it. Inside, a mix of celery, cabbage, and pork, with decent flavor and a moo shi feel. Not bad. A little above average. Lots of ups and downs here, but a reluctant 4 stars thanks to the brilliance of those wings. I scouted plates on other tables on my way to the restroom and saw similar highs and lows, but more highs. Even if the potential goes unfulfilled (and I have higher hopes for the old school than the dim sim), the wings alone would bring me back.

What an amazing canto spot and what's even better is that it's 8 mins away from Mohegan sun. There was no host for a while when we entered, we were kind of lost without any guidance. We helped ourselves and just walked straight to the back and a waiter finally spotted us and sat us down. We came on a Monday so sadly because the sushi chef was not in, there was no sushi for the day. Everything we ordered was yum and the price was good too. For $100, a party of 6 and a baby, we got to try every thing and we were so satisfied. The best dish was the pineapple buns, I still yearn for those to this day. Their baked roast pork bun was good too. I definitely want to visit soon, hopefully will make my friend drive to Mohegan sun so I can enjoy this restaurant again. So much more worth it to eat here than eat at Mohegan. I need those pineapple buns...... addicted!!! CANT WAIT

I wanted something different for dinner and this place has been on my list to visit for a while…read more There were plenty of parking spaces to choose from. When we went inside, there was only one other party there and no music, so just whispers and the sounds of utensils against plates. There are about 4-5 booths and 1-2 regular tables to choose from. Since l am not familiar with Sichuan cuisine, I had Al help me choose my dishes. I went with the dumplings in chili sauce, fried rice, eggplant in garlic sauce, and chongquin chicken. While we waited, we were given water. The dishes came out at different times. They first served us the dumplings which were really good. The sauce they were in did have some chili sauce, but it was mostly like a sweet soy sauce and really tasty. It came with about 6 dumplings with a perfectly cooked wrapper and filled with flavorful pork - simple but delicious. Next was the eggplant. I was expecting a heavy garlic presence, but it was more like a sweet and sour sauce. The eggplant was very tender, but really hot so we had to wait to let it cool down a bit. The rice came after. I honestly think this was one of my favorite dishes since it was perfectly cooked, great flavor, and good portion. Lastly, the chicken came out. There was a large pile of chicken, but half of it was peppers. The chicken was cut into little bite sized pieces, each fried perfectly. Some pieces were more tongue numbing than others but it was nothing aggressive; very gentle and comfortable numb. I would have liked if there were music, but the no music was fine too; an escape from chaotic reality. Our total was around $50, which wasn't bad for the amount of food we got. I would come back to try other items.
