My family had a surprisingly good meal at Green Tea. The kids ordered miso soup and sushi, which were quite good, my husband ordered tofu and mixed vegetables from the Chinese portion, which was mediocre, and I ordered the penang curry from the Thai portion of the menu. The curry was as good as any I have had in NYC or Philly, which makes me think the chef in the back might be Thai. i stopped going here for awhile and now i know why. we went there on a sunday and had the most awful waitress who every time we ask for something she made a face like it killed her. then she slammed the menus down like she did not want to wait on us, then they talked about us in chinese. this restaurant must not want customers i predict it will close down with treatment like this. i had the shrimp basil and the shrimp tasted like it had a faint trace of ammonia like it was going bad. i left there and i will not be back, this place thinks they are doing you a favor by you eating there. i left just a $2.00 tip and she is lucky i left that!!!! Found multiple pieces of hair on my plate. I ate half of one roll and two pieces of another and the manager still made me pay for my meal. I found one peice of hair, I was going to let that fly. Then I started finding more pieces and it grossed me out and I returned the plate and didn't want anymore food and she still made me pay for my meal after arguing with her for 5 minutes why I shouldn't have to pay. I'm not sure what happened to this place, but the food quality is horrible. I used to order from here often years ago. Tonight, we were served green tea in Christmas mugs! My tea even has floating dust particles in it when she served it to us. My food was drenched in this oil that did not mix well with soy sauce. It was not properly made nor was it hot. We brought our food home to eat and on the way home my husband asked, "where is that dead person smell coming from?" I said that's our left over food. Please save your time and money. Just purchased Chinese take-out from Green Tea and it was fantastic! I got the sesame chicken and my wife got the chicken and brocolli ... both were some of the best we've had. Our favorite Chinese food location up until now was Chef Chun's in Sewell NJ and this is easily as good as that. While I didn't eat there, the interior is very nicely done; the nicest interior of a Chinese Food restaurant I've seen. I would definitely dine there again and highly recommend it read more

we order food from here all the time. However, for a change we thought to go there for diner yesterday. Let me tell you, the waitress was cycling with her service & showed no interest in being polite & courteous. Almost at the end of our diner when we were contemplating on desert, the waitress brought the bill without asking if we had any desert order. When I was leaving I made a point to ask at the register if they had no desert menu, the cashier told me that we should have ordered the desert at the beginning of our diner. Who orders desert when you're ordering starters ? For me its a definite no no to sit in for diner there. Better off just order my take away from there. read more

I was at Green Tea restaurant on Saturday for lunch. Food was decent but the waitress was horrible and did not even seem interested in serving us or said thank you to her 30% tip! Then my husband and daughter went today and something was in his food. He said it looked as if it was a plastic piece of a button or something. He called the same waitress over and showed her and asked for the manager to come and talk to him. Noone ever came and finally when he went over to the hostess and complained, she said that it was part of a plant. Never the less, offering any sort of apology or taking his food back to get a new plate. We will never go back to Green Tea! Sakana Oriental is the best is our area anyway, Green Tea is just closer and convenient only reason why we frequented! read more

The first time I went here (and I thought last), I took my mother on mothers day. There was nothing special about it but it was expensive. I never thought I would go back. That was probably 2ish years ago. I went back more recently and enjoyed the food much more. They must have changed staff at some point or something looking at the posting dates from others. I have been there at least a half dozen times in the last 2 months and every time the food was pretty darn good! I usually get sushi of some sort and I keep eating the beef teriyaki sticks with peanut sauce. yum. Their steamed vegetable dumplings are literally the only steamed dumplings I have EVER liked. I was looking for their number to order some sushi and dumplings tonight and noticed the lame stars they had. After reading the reviews from prior years, I understood why I used to not like them and now I do. Any way, its a pretty awesome restaurant, at least in my opinion, the best around this area for this type of food... ive been to all of them. Tokyo Mandarian is also very good and is my 2nd choice under here...If you had a bad meal here a couple years back, maybe reconsider giving them another try now. I am glad I did! read more
