Holy wow, my husband found this place a week ago and we've been twice. Everything is SOOO delicious and fresh. We've tried the bowls, burgers, tots, desserts, drinks, and honestly I can't get enough. Everything has wonderful taste and feels much cleaner than normal "take out". I can't wait to keep ordering from here and it's close and quick. Prices are also really great. If your looking for a healthy choice then I would recommend this place. I had the salmon fish tacos, teriyaki ginger bowl. Although very tasty the fish was not very fresh. Had allot of cabbage and toppings which took away from the salmon but the overall taste was quite nice. The teriyaki was good but I would have liked to see chicken breast instead of thigh. The staff were friendly and the restaurant looked clean. I did see a staff member come out of the kitchen wearing gloves and answer the phone with the gloves on, then head back into the kitchen. You have to love the crushed ice you get for the drinks. Not many places serve crushed ice and this was a nice treat with the fresh watermelon tea. I went with my family for the first time, though it was at night. Heard rave reviews about it from another family member. It was a cold night, it was even more freezing in the store but since there was no light in the patio we didn't eat out there. The place is super cute I do like the set up, the bathroom is big and for one person. Very clean! I got a steak sandwich I didn't like that it was medium rare, it made it chewy and I just get grossed out easily from the flavor. Maybe I can ask for well done next time, I'm not sure. The chimichurri sauce is so delicious, the miso was not we gave our extra chimichurri to the family member who ordered the miso and was very disappointed with it. (The miso sauce). Though the ciabatta bread WAS SO SOFT AND YUMMY!!!! We also got the cold brew coffee and the pumpkin horchata. I'd say the horchata wins out of the two. I would like to visit again in the daytime to see if the food is any different at that time. I love the variety of options for the food/sauces/toppings. I assumed the bowl would come with a decent variety of ingredients, but it was mostly just rice with a few sad tomato slices and barely any meat -- maybe six small pieces of steak. It honestly felt like they had run out of the usual veggies and just threw in whatever was left. My favorite Wrap is the Crispy tofu ranch wrap - it is THE BEST I just tried the Matcha Latte though, and it is NOT my cup of tea... I think GTG should choose ONE of the milks that are in it (Oat milk, Almond milk, OR Coconut milk) NOT all three. The combination of the three milks just makes it a bit funky tasting. I see the vision and concept for a healthy fast food made to order fresh option but to me it lacked a lot of flavor and just tasted ok. We ordered the PK burger (basically just an expensive lettuce wrap) and the PK chimichurri bowl with grilled salmon. They have a limited kids menu but my daughters got the burger and the kids quesadilla. Everything was just really dry, and lacked a lot of flavor. It's kinda pricey too. Don't advertise a promotion and then refuse to honor it. My kids were getting out of the car with their mom, so I ordered ahead because I know the food takes a while. They came in just a few minutes later, but I was told they had to be physically present at the exact moment I ordered, which felt unreasonable given they were literally walking in. Super impressed with this place and how consistent they are with their bowls! I always get the chimichurri bowl and add grilled chicken, comes out to about $13 and is generously portioned and amazing. This time we also got the tator tots which isn't anything special, it comes with chimichurri and ranch to dip. Also tried the fried cauliflower with buffalo sauce and was surprised on how good it was. The one thing i would never get again is the spicy tuna bowl, fish was not fresh, rice did not match the taste, overall pretty bad. Service was not too bad, they brought it out within 15 minutes. Yesterday we went in during lunch hours and it was busy, as I walked up to the counter and ordered our food I marked no to tip on my credit card, as I had cash in my hand to tip cash. Before I could even put the cash in the tip jar, the cashier grabbed the tip jar and told the girl pulling the food from the kitchen counter "look, all of our busy work today and this is all we got in tips". So guess what I didn't leave a tip. I thought it was rude of her to say that in front of customers. I am a person who always tips because 1) I don't have to cook and they are doing me a favor and 2) I remember the struggle. So I am one that always tips, but not this time. Wanted something on the healthier side so I decided to try Green Tomato Grill. It was my first time here and I've heard good things about this place. They have a nice variety of different items to choose from, including bowls, wraps, salads, and soups. When I first walked in, I couldn't tell who was in line to order or waiting for their food. The front is a little small so it can get chaotic when it's busy. There's people waiting to order, waiting for food, and also waiting to get their online order. There's a few tables inside and there's also outdoor seating available. I ordered the Thai Peanut Bowl, which was $10.95. It comes with your choice of protein for a small additional cost. Based on the reviews, I decided to get the fried tofu for an extra $0.50. The bowl comes with cabbage, carrot, edamame, green Thai onion, and shishito pepper over white rice with a Thai peanut sauce. I originally thought for the price, it's definitely worth it. However, the bowl comes with a lot of rice and I don't think there was enough sauce on top. It definitely tasted healthy though. I forgot to ask for extra sauce on the side so I recommend doing that if you want more flavor. There's also a small kick from the peppers. The tofu was good, but my bowl was pretty bland so I think I'll try chicken next time to add a little more flavor. You can also check in on Yelp for an extra 10% off your order, which is a plus!
