I love that Green Tomato Grill offers so many vegan options! That said, I do wish it were more clearly labeled what's vegan and what's not. I had to ask the cashier for help on figuring that out with the bowls, sandwiches, and entrees. I ordered the Argentinian Chimichurri Bowl with fried tofu. The flavors were good, but the bowl wasn't filled all the way, so I felt a little skimped on the portion, especially for the price. Wouldn't order it again. Now, the real reason I'm writing this review: the horchata. It is hands down the best non-dairy, vegan horchata I've ever had. The ones at places like Gracias Madre and Borreguitas are more watery. This one has that perfect creamy consistency I crave when I think of horchata. If they could just boost the cinnamon flavor a bit more, it would be absolute perfection. The parking lot here is very easy to park in. They have a pretty large menu with many gluten free options. And there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. You order and pay at the counter and they deliver to your table if you're dining in. I got the ahi tuna poke bowl which isn't like traditional poke at all. It's really more of a handful of raw tuna, cucumbers, and furikake on plain rice. I did like that they have the sauce on the side which is great if you have an allergy. They also provide temari sauce for a gluten free option. The food was ok but I can't say I was impressed. It's not for me and I wouldn't go out of my way, but if you have someone with a lot of allergies or intolerances this might be a good option. read more

Been coming here for years. I now go to Cava down the road instead of here due to the current cashiers and managers attitude when you order with allergy instructions. I also don't like getting a foochi face when I remind them to add my phone number for rewards. The amount of food in the bowls is constantly shrinking for the price. Green tomato grill is a staple for us. We've been coming here since we moved to OC in 2020. The flatbreads, bowls, especially the tacos are delicious!!! And we order them without the jalapeño so it's not too spicy. They have gluten free desserts as well as GF wraps which are a plus for my gluten sensitive husband. It was pretty good. The salmon tasted like it was cooked well. The bowl had good flavor. The cauliflower was just so so. It tasted like a healthy version of fried cauliflower. Not greasy enough. It was my favorite. The sweet potato fries were alright. A little on the soggy side. But maybe that was due to delivery. My husband ordered a grass fed burger. He said it was okay. First off, I absolutely love the Greek mezze bowl. It is so delicious and I added an extra side of dressing just for the fun of it. Everything in the bowl is so healthy and yummy. I buy that one everytime I go there. Their iced tea is yummy too! It is very fresh and not old tasting like it has been there overnight. The only downside is when I ordered through the app, it didn't let me know when my order was ready. So after waiting twenty minutes, it was sitting there for who knows how long. Holy wow, my husband found this place a week ago and we've been twice. Everything is SOOO delicious and fresh. We've tried the bowls, burgers, tots, desserts, drinks, and honestly I can't get enough. Everything has wonderful taste and feels much cleaner than normal "take out". I can't wait to keep ordering from here and it's close and quick. Prices are also really great. If your looking for a healthy choice then I would recommend this place. I had the salmon fish tacos, teriyaki ginger bowl. Although very tasty the fish was not very fresh. Had allot of cabbage and toppings which took away from the salmon but the overall taste was quite nice. The teriyaki was good but I would have liked to see chicken breast instead of thigh. The staff were friendly and the restaurant looked clean. I did see a staff member come out of the kitchen wearing gloves and answer the phone with the gloves on, then head back into the kitchen. You have to love the crushed ice you get for the drinks. Not many places serve crushed ice and this was a nice treat with the fresh watermelon tea. I will come back to this restaurant and try some other options. read more
