I visited Moses Bread yesterday. I've been here twice now. It's a small little mom-and-pop shop. There are two signages: 1. One that says Moses Bread 2. The other sign that says "only four ingredients fermented" To me that's a bold statement and it's pretty incredible that they can produce high-quality product with just four ingredients. The signage says the four ingredients are: - water - sea salt - bread flour - yeast With that they developed some of the most incredible sourdough bread I've ever had. They do different variations where they have: - I got the fig and walnuts - they have cranberries - they have tomatoes All of these different flavors but the main bread ingredients are just four ingredients. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a very unassuming shop, very simple inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The system to order is a little complicated but you should pre-order online. If you order in person there might not be much left because most of the items are already reserved. I would definitely recommend this place as it is one of the best bakeries in Orange County

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a nice little place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I needed a new loaf of sourdough for my freezer and wanted to try someplace new. They are reasonably priced and after having a nibble in the car, delicious!! They will slice it for you 1/2" thick free of charge.

Follow the yelp directions map come here . [[HIGHLIGHT]]1st time Check in , small store , the old man not that nice , we were still looking around what was they had on the shelves ( many kind of sourdough favor) , but his way seemed keep rush , so we choose the plain sourdough $11.25.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We gave $20 and we told him we got $0.25 cents but he not wait, just walked to inside then said: too later ! Then come back with the left money change to us. Well 1st time as quick was last in this store! Rather I keep my visit to (6100 Bread store ) close than got uncomfortable in this store !

This little hidden gem is amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]First time at this place and it was packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thank God I arrived at 9:15 because almost all the bread was gone. The best thing is to order it online a day or two before. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This business is a mom and Pop shop. Hard-working couple and they keep the place clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I spoke to a few customers who have been regulars for the past year and two years. I got the fig sourdough, olive sourdough, and regular sourdough. All of them were amazing. I will definitely keep coming back. There is plenty of parking.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]friendly, clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] would recommend you order online. Parking lot is small but plenty of spots!

Moses bread is the best option if you want clean 4 ingredients only sour dough bread.. they do have some in stock but not much. Highly advise you to preorder. They will also slice the bread also. I got a loaf and a rustic loaf but were really good. Fresh bread. Come support this mom and pop shop

Great concept they have here! Everything is sourdough based and made into different shapes. Things sell out fast so you should consider ordering early in the morning like 730am for same day pick up or they have an option for ordering 2 days ahead. They still take walk ins but things may be sold out. I wanted to try the bagel but it was unfortunately sold out. I tried the rustic sourdough loaf and it was really well made. Great for the sourdough lovers. It's a grab and go kinda place. Just sells bread and no other toppings/spreads. Parking is easy in front in the lot.

This is a real dourdough bread. It's delicious just by eating bread with nothing on it. It's crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

Ask the Community - Moses Bread

Hello! I want to start making my own sourdough bread. Do you sell starters?

    No; more details https://moses-bread.com/v2/about_Sarter.html

    Can you freeze the bread?

    yes

    Do you use organic flour?

Yes, but only for feeding mother-starter; mother-starter likes that flour; Azure organic

    Do you make sourdough croissants?

No, my bread is not laminated like croissant. Mine is kind of lean bread; only 4 ingredients: flour, sea salt, water, and wild yeast.; no butter at all.

Do you have whole grain sourdough?

The process is more complicated, so I’d better focus on fermentation bcs I don’t feel much difference between them.

Do you carry salt rising bread?

My bread is leavened by wild-yeast.

Which kind of olives do you use?

Nowadays we do not bake flavored bread like olive. Before this weird period, we used kalamata from Greece, black olive.

Do you sell whole wheat sourdough bread?

No, we put in only 5% of whole wheat flour.

Do you make loaves of sliced white bread? I want the crust crispy the inside soft....I'd love to make my sandwiches w good bread! Can I request the width of slice?

If customer wants, loaves could be sliced. I am baking sourdough bread with unbleached bread flour milled from 100% American wheat. Many of the reviews on yelp describe my bread as crispy crust and soft, chewy crumb. We’re baking two kinds of… Read more

The chocolate was so rich and the perfect sweetness 3. monkey bread crossiant: 10/10 a pleasant surprise! sticky, sweet, crispy, with such a yummy texture 2. ube croffin: 10/10 the ube cream inside the croffin and the toasted vanilla cream on top were made so well, perfectly sweet and fluffy, both ube and vanilla flavors strong and prominent, the texture of the bread was airy and had a great chew 1. Croque Moniseur Crossiant sandwhich. 11/10 best bite! Loaded with flavor! There was a generous amount of meat and sauce. The jalapeños added a good level of spice and pickle. A filling and very worth it item!!! The staff were all friendly and the wait on a Saturday morning at 9:30AM was not too bad just 20 mins. Beware it is street parking! Usually parking here isn't too bad if you're staying for less than an hour and easy to walk over to the dessert shop. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.
