What a nice little place! I needed a new loaf of sourdough for my freezer and wanted to try someplace new. They are reasonably priced and after having a nibble in the car, delicious!! They will slice it for you 1/2" thick free of charge.

Follow the yelp directions map come here . 1st time Check in , small store , the old man not that nice , we were still looking around what was they had on the shelves ( many kind of sourdough favor) , but his way seemed keep rush , so we choose the plain sourdough $11.25. We gave $20 and we told him we got $0.25 cents but he not wait, just walked to inside then said: too later ! Then come back with the left money change to us. Well 1st time as quick was last in this store! Rather I keep my visit to (6100 Bread store ) close than got uncomfortable in this store !

Moses Bread best sourdough in town!! my favorite is fig sourdough. tried baguette, bagels...always come here to buy! the owner here is master of sourdough - he explains about how he makes healthy 3-4 pure ingredients bread that made him healthy! friendly, clean. would recommend you order online. Parking lot is small but plenty of spots!

Moses bread is the best option if you want clean 4 ingredients only sour dough bread.. they do have some in stock but not much. Highly advise you to preorder. They will also slice the bread also. I got a loaf and a rustic loaf but were really good. Fresh bread. Come support this mom and pop shop

Great concept they have here! Everything is sourdough based and made into different shapes. Things sell out fast so you should consider ordering early in the morning like 730am for same day pick up or they have an option for ordering 2 days ahead. They still take walk ins but things may be sold out. I wanted to try the bagel but it was unfortunately sold out. I tried the rustic sourdough loaf and it was really well made. Great for the sourdough lovers. It's a grab and go kinda place. Just sells bread and no other toppings/spreads. Parking is easy in front in the lot.

This place is something special. It's owned and operated by this couple that's passionate about sourdough bread. You can order two days in advance or they also have same-day ordering. Their online system starts at 9am and the bread gets sold out quickly! After I ordered, I went to pick it up and there was a sign that said they're out of bread unless you ordered it online. They also have a dehydrated mother starter but I haven't tried that yet. I have tried the sourdough boule and the rosemary boule and both were amazing. I'm excited to try their baguettes too and the sandwich bread. It's located in a small strip mall and I found parking easily. It's my go-to bakery now.

The cranberry walnut sourdough is perfection. I like it toasted with some good butter--simple and satisfying. Must order ahead, but so worth it.

Ask the Community - Moses Bread

Hello! I want to start making my own sourdough bread. Do you sell starters?

    No; more details https://moses-bread.com/v2/about_Sarter.html

    Can you freeze the bread?

    yes

    Do you use organic flour?

Yes, but only for feeding mother-starter; mother-starter likes that flour; Azure organic

    Do you make sourdough croissants?

No, my bread is not laminated like croissant. Mine is kind of lean bread; only 4 ingredients: flour, sea salt, water, and wild yeast.; no butter at all.

Do you have whole grain sourdough?

The process is more complicated, so I’d better focus on fermentation bcs I don’t feel much difference between them.

Do you carry salt rising bread?

My bread is leavened by wild-yeast.

Which kind of olives do you use?

Nowadays we do not bake flavored bread like olive. Before this weird period, we used kalamata from Greece, black olive.

Do you sell whole wheat sourdough bread?

No, we put in only 5% of whole wheat flour.

Do you make loaves of sliced white bread? I want the crust crispy the inside soft....I'd love to make my sandwiches w good bread! Can I request the width of slice?

There was a wait for us despite coming on a weekday morning, so I can't imagine how long the line gets on the weekends. The bakery is so cute inside and everything is displayed so aesthetically! I wanted to buy them all but we ended up getting the sundried tomato, butter croissant, scallion gochujang, and ube croffle. All of them were so fresh and perfectly crispy. The sun dried tomato one had cheese too and is definitely a great savory option. The gochujang one wasn't as spicy as I expected and was more on the sweeter side, but the scallion flavor was strong and delicious! My favorite was definitely the ube croffle, which was filled with a rich and creamy ube custard. It wasn't overly sweet and was soo good! There were a few things I wanted to try but didn't get a chance to yet, like their blue corn sourdough loaf and their cinnamon roll so I'll definitely be back for more!

The ambiance is that of a really good bakery, with a line out the door and loud conversation. Finally the baked goods were all pretty good to delicious. We came here to try a thing or two, see what the fuss is about and left spending about $90. Everything looked and sounded amazing. That's the most I've ever spent at a bakery in one visit but it did not disappoint. Everything we tried here was delicious. My favorite was the croissant cinnamon roll, which I had with coffee to cut the sweetness of it. I do have one complaint, I can't stand salt on my sweets, call me old fashioned but I like my foods segregated, keep the salt off my chocolate chip cookie because the cookie itself was amazing but the salt kept messing it up. My kid had a chocolate croissant, which had a dark chocolate tasting center. No complaints from him until he tried the cinnamon roll which he said he did not like due to the frosting. I on the other hand will come back here just for the cinnamon roll. We also got a loaf of sourdough, which we devoured in 2 days with some butter. Even the blue corn muffins and corn cookie were good, which I really didn't think I'd like. Well that's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

Santa Ana downtown is all metered street parking so be prepared to pay for parking. The stand is located right in front of the market so it isn't too hard to find. It's in the market so there's open seating and can get quite loud if there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, I was greeted very poorly when I got here. No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. I really hope they improve their customer service.
