Very long overdue review... went here a number of years ago and got the traditional metal braces. Most of the work on my teeth were performed by assistants and Dr Greenberg only popped in at the end of each appt for a quick check. I spent about 2 years in braces and throughout treatment, I explained my priorities and could see that even as I went thru treatment and towards the end, my bite wasn't ideal at all. My back molars were not lining up correctly and occlusion on the molars was practically non existent, especially in the left side. I could really only chew slightly on my right side. When I brought this up, Dr Greenberg told me it's the best she could do for me. Towards the end, I gave up and had the braces removed since I could see that the desired occlusion was not going to be achieved. When the assistant removed my brackets she was so forceful that she chipped off a piece of my enamel on one of my lower teeth. I heard an unnatural sound and felt something was wrong, but she kept insisting that it's just cement. It turned out to be my enamel and not cement! Fast forward a few years and I'm now having to deal with gum recession, probably because of the trauma to the teeth from the misaligned bite since my ortho treatment didn't correct it. Added to these horrible turn of events, I discovered when going to a dentist for a crown that the retainers that were made for me to wear were not even properly fitted! The same assistant did my mold for the retainers and did them so poorly for the lower jaw that it didn't take a good imprint, so wearing them was useless all these years because it was such a poor imprint that it didn't hold my teeth in place. Yet, what was upsetting was Dr Greenberg inspected those retainers and despite the crappy quality, instead of having them redone properly, she let me walk out the door with them! I stopped using these retainers since they were inadequate at doing what they are supposed to do. read more

I'm very happy with the quality of work and the attention to detail. I appreciate that no minor detail was dismissed and the front office was so kind and patient with me when I could not make payments consistently due to circumstances out of my control. I am currently receiving treatment for my TMJ and the way my life has transformed from waking up with headaches and exhausted everyday to actually feeling rested in the morning IS CRAZY GOOD WORK. The mouth reshaper is painful, annoying expensive and super fragile grrrr HOWEVER the results have honestly made it WORTH IT and I'm so glad I stuck with it. yes she is expensive but her results are undeniable and any investment in yourself is always going to give you a good return! read more

Life altering. Dr. Greenberg is the best! She knows what she's doing. I am so grateful for what she has done so far. It's only been 4 months. I have another 4 months to go and will update my review again then. But I am confident that my review will be even better. I am a heavy grinder. As the years passed, I developed TMJ to the point my dentist said I might eventually need surgery. I also have an underbite. I went to an ortho in 2018. That ortho straightened my teeth alright, but never fixed my bite. In fact, he pulled my lower jaw back, which made my jaw so much worse. My grinding and TMJ became worse. My face started to swell. I developed chronic headaches. My face significantly changed. I didn't recognize myself when looking in the mirror or in photos. I had high cheekbones that disappeared. I lost volume in my lips. My smile, everything was so bad. The worst part was having to get Botox every 3 months for the headaches. Because my bite was off, I also couldn't speak right. I couldn't say my "S's" without Botox to relax my jaw, face, and scalp muscles. And I am in a profession where elocution is important. I don't have speech issues anymore. Fast forward to October 2024. I wore the reshaper device, which allowed my jaw to reset and my TMJ to heal. Yes, I didn't think I'd be able to wear the device. But I powered through. I am so glad I did. After a month of using the reshaper, my pre-ortho face started to return. The swelling in my lower jaw that was making me look like I had jowls disappeared. The headaches stopped. The snoring stopped. The clicking in my jaw was still there, but it no longer hurt. My jaw no longer locks. I was supposed to get my usual 3 month Botox treatment in December, but I did not need it. I am still Botox free. My pre-ortho facial muscles are coming back. Now, in February 2025, my jaw clicking is nearly gone. People will say you can't expand adult palates, but I disagree. I can literally feel my palate midline expanded with the tip of my tongue. Bc I'm detail oriented, I kept track of this. It's astonishing. My dentist also says that palate work is amazing. And I think only Dr. Greenberg knows how to do it right. I'm so thankful that my face is returning to normal. My bite is getting fixed. My smile is being revised. I can't wait to see the final results. I can't wait to feel the final results. I'm so grateful for your work, Dr. Greenberg. I'm thankful I found you and I decided to go for it. Thank you so much. For those out there, please do your research. An ortho who doesn't know how to fix bites could make your health worse even if they have good intentions and know how to straighten teeth correctly. They may be hurting your bite, which could cause so many other health issues. Who cares if the staff is having a bad day here and there. It's human. I was patient of this office from 2021-2022. While, Dr. Greenberg seems knowledgeable and caring during visits, the lack of administrative organization and borderline fraudulent policies is problematic. When I first began treatment with Dr. Greenberg, I was told that long-distance treatment would not be an issue and that many of the clinic's clients conducted regular meetings virtually. This was important for me since I was going to college in New York and would only be able to come back periodically for my physical scans. My parents paid the full ~$6K up front and we started treatment, but as soon as I got to New York, treatment immediately ceased and it became impossible to contact anyone at the office. There were no follow-up calls or appointments made, and any attempts to reach the office went to a third party call center which promised to relay the message (which never led to anything). It was like I had never existed as a patient. Eventually, I could not keep hounding the clinic as I was a full-time student, and stopped calling in. A few months later I got a template letter from the office saying that since I had not been sticking to the original treatment plan, that I would be discontinued as a patient. I emailed Dr. Greenberg directly about this as I had reached the end of my patience and was asked to come in for an update checkup. When I went back to LA and finally received an in-person appointment, I was told that my treatment plan would have to be extended and that I would have to pay the ~$6K again in order to proceed (with the same exact treatment I was supposed to be on currently). I tried to argue that the treatment only had to be extended because of negligence on their part and the multiple failures to reach out or return my calls, but all Lourdes, the treatment coordinator, said was that there may have been some fault on their side "but there is nothing they can do". I find this practice borderline fraudulent/malpractice and strongly urge patients to use a more established and respected ortho clinic for their treatment (where this would never be allowed to happen). The office seems like they get good results from the patient profiles they show you, but they do not have your best interest at heart. I wore a snoring mouthpiece for several years that eventually wore out and also changed my bite. I went from a slight over bite to a under bite. I did not want to get a new one as I wanted to get my normal bite back. I looked around for several alternatives and found Dr. Greenberg. She offered several alternatives and I selected the Invisalign method. She delivered everything she promised. Not only did I get my bite back, but she improved my snoring by opening my airway. You don't have the knowledge base which can feel disempowering when making decisions and being an advocate about your own health. 2. You are incredibly vulnerable because 'something is wrong' and you're needing support with it from someone who 'knows better'. Which is why it's imperative to find a provider that you feel you can trust to be 100% vulnerable with, they have your best interest in mind, and they honor the medical code of ethics. In short, the way Greenburg's practice operates currently hits none of these touch points to instill confidence of care. I had Invisalign treatment here for 2 years as a corrective jaw surgery patient. My jaw is now properly aligned after it being a lifelong insecurity of hating my underbite, but instead of being able to enjoy the surgery results, I feel self conscious about smiling because Dr. Greenberg made my teeth too flared out and now my smile looks unnaturally wide. My experience with Dr. Greenberg has been overall frustrating. I did not want to leave a bad review but I feel unhappy that I spent 2 yrs on treatment here and $6k only to have to spend more money and time to fix it elsewhere. Overall I felt she did not communicate well throughout my treatment, was insensitive, forgetful, defensive (when I had concerns or questions), and would not admit if something was wrong. Throughout my treatment, I never felt like she really listened to what I would say and that she just tried to make my smile as wide as possible despite it looking unnatural for my face. Many times I left my appointments feeling frustrated because of Dr. Greenberg's lack of communication. If I ever had questions, her responses were always vague and unclear. If I asked what she was going to do to my teeth, the answer was always "settling the bite" (which wasn't even done properly), but she couldn't explain what that meant. I also felt that she never really listened to my concerns, that she was often forgetful (ex. forgot to order palate expander when I came to pick it up.. and the upper tray didn't fit after surgery because she didn't think of my new teeth position..in fact there was not much communication going on after surgery as to what was my next steps), and has told me wrong info about jaw surgeon's order of plans for me (like the crowns would be done before surgery when he said after surgery). At one point I had really flared teeth with gaps in the front (see 2nd photo) and she did not warn me that she would be doing that to my teeth to prepare for front crowns...which I'm not even sure why she did that since the crowns dentist said it shouldn't be that flared out. Thank goodness I was wearing masks and working from home...otherwise it would've given me a lot more anxiety being out. After the end of my treatment, including refinements, my teeth are flared and the top and bottom don't sit naturally together. I decided to not fix my teeth here since Greenberg denied that there was a problem when I expressed my unhappiness with the outcome, and she made me feel like I was the one with the problem for not liking how it looked..even when the 3d scan showed my teeth looking crooked. She does what she thinks looks best without hearing how you want to look like even though you're the one living with your teeth for the rest of your life. I was never given the the 3D plan (ClinCheck) from the beginning to show what the outcome would look like until the end of 2 years when I had to ask for the refinement plan out of frustration, which still took 3 weeks to receive. I realized a lot of things she didn't do when I found another provider that did things she never did..such as actually including me in the smile design planning, providing me a detailed 3D treatment plan from the beginning and getting my input, actually putting attachments on my teeth to help with the teeth movement, actually requiring a cavity clearance from a general dentist first, and explaining everything clearly to me. I should've known to not do treatment here on my first consultation when her former assistant tried to scare me out of doing the surgery by saying I would look much worse to prepare for it (while making an exaggerated underbite face..I found it insensitive and rude esp since it'd been a lifelong insecurity) and she claimed Greenberg could treat me for it instead with orthodontics. They tried to scare me out of surgery but I had already made up my mind to do it after doing my research/consultation with the surgeon. Out of desperation to start the Invisalign treatment to prepare my teeth position for the jaw surgery date, I hastily chose this place and now I regret it because now I have to spend more time and money to fix it elsewhere. Her staff are nice and I really liked Cinia, who has been really sweet and kind, so I would say that was the only enjoyable part of my experience here. If you're a jaw surgery patient, I would suggest go elsewhere and choose someone who will actually listen to your wants and concerns and not insult you or diminish how you feel when you aren't happy. Jaw surgery was a very mentally difficult and costly journey, and my orthodontics treatment here to supplement the surgery made it much more stressful rather than give me a satisfying outcome. read more

Not sure why we stayed with them. The front desk rep has a huge attitude, it would be nice if she smiled once in a while. Lourdes has no idea what she is doing. Our insurance company told us that they cannot charge more than the contracted rate yet Lourdes said no. Dr. Greenberg, like the other reviews, kept on saying "it's your treatment??" And didn't want to own her decision, but Dante was the best!!! He took his time and explained. I'm his treatment was for a family member. I need treatment as well but I will not be going there. It felt like once you were in their system, you were obligated to keep controlled the money pit. I should've looked at the other reviews prior to committing. I took my son for complimentary consultation. First of all they scheduled my appointment with someone who isn't even doctor. After I complained I got response that it was system error They took my sons dental pictures with iphone 8, and during the whole consultation she used to show that my son have small over bite. Money, money and money hunger Vickie Greenburg and Lourdes are good partners to take money from your pocket once you are being caught (like a fish). I paid in full for my daughter who would have upper reshaping and the Invisalign for her lower, I trust her and her crew, so I determined to pay in full with 5% off. Well ...... a professional can't be trusted is very hurt ! We trust her and her crew but they don't do their professional and tried to create more drama .... Signed contract at the end of July 2021 and they ordered the trays and the release upper reshaping like 3 weeks.... Then applied to my daughter, it was like almost end of August .... 9/10/21 -- Lourdes asked me to pay 500 for the additional appliance .... What is that ? She explained this is the release upper reshaping. What ? I didn't reacted such fast as I still trust this dental office, I took my credit card to pay in full again. They didn't replace or got the new appliance for my daughter, they used the old one to adjust something .... They took my daughter's first releaser away which I paid for it at the first time. Just 2 weeks, new appliance is required ..... weird ! So I can estimate how many more appliances are required in the coming 24 months treatment time, 500 for each (this is written on the financial arrangement) Next check up in October, I was waiting my daughter in my car, Vickie Greenberg came to my car and told me to get the laser treatment to speed up the process .... What ? Money again .... I thought the contract agreement price is covered the treatment until it is done ! I rejected politely and said just started 2 months .... Let her relaxed and we don't need to rush the progress, she just 10 years old at that time. Well.... Of course my daughter ate their attitude in the following couple visits as I didn't agree to pay more. My daughter wasn't happy for every of the visit (as Covid, I dropped her off and I waited her in the car at their parking lot). My daughter rejected to have their treatment in/around February, we had no longer visit them anymore .... At the beginning of this year, a registered letter mailed to my address saying that ....... Giving 30 days to determine if the treatment is keep going or what .... Well, I gave a call to the office ... and Lourdes returned me a call after couple days with a very pleasant voice. She encouraged me to take my daughter to check again, maybe she is more mature and change her mind ! Again .... Money again ! She asked me to fill out the information as a new patient ! I paid total of 5,245.25 in 2021 Lourdes was asking 6,595 more to continue this treatment and will credit back 3,000 which I paid in 2021 After deeply consideration, gathered different reviews in the social media and the feelings what my daughter and myself had during just couple months with not more than 10 times visit ..... we don't want to keep it going ! I believe that more money will be digging from my pocket. THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY ! This is the key point. I feel very stressful every time I go there. Got Vickie Greenberg's call (I guess I wrote something with Yelp within 24 hours ago). I told her I just want to make my daughter's case closed with the refund as they said at the beginning, don't want to know anymore .... 2 hours later, I got Lourdes email stating that the total refund is 1,581.75 after audited, $3,663.5 is being "stolen". They charged me 2 sets of release (but they asked my daughter to give her back the first release), 40 those plastic trays, iPhoto pictures for consultation.......... = 3,663.50 ???!!!! P.S when the positive 5 stars reviews, we have to be careful that if ....... I doubted and really doubted ! I can upload more papers to show we DEAL with Vickie Greenberg and Lourdes, this is present and true. Don't want anyone to be the victim or victims. I recently concluded my treatment with Vickie Greenberg Orthodontics after 19 months. I was initially estimated at 18-24 months of treatment so I'm about 75% done. Unfortunately, my overall experience has left me less than satisfied. Thus I cancelled my treatment prematurely and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. I began treatment here and was told my upper jaw was small and was causing breathing and teeth-related issues. I was recommended a special tooth-borne appliance (removable and attaches to your teeth) for jaw expansion, which, to my dismay, proved to be both painful and ineffective. This appliance was an upsell from the estimated treatment, and according to the jaw surgeon I am working with, it did little more than tip my teeth and cause pain, all for the hefty price of $500. There are lots of medical studies and literature out there that say tooth-borne appliances do not work for upper jaw expansion and that surgically installed jaw expansion appliances have a high failure rate after the age of 25. I can only imagine that this is just an easy way for them to upsell, they even offered me a second jaw expander that I declined due to the pain of the first. During my time with the jaw expander, Vickie told me about a special laser that only she had that would make my jaw expand faster. I signed up for two laser treatments, each costing $200. The laser didn't actually expand my jaw. My advice: thoroughly research any additional treatments or appliances that they try to upsell before committing. My treatment plan involved Invisalign with scans every four months for new trays. During the middle of each tray set, I faced issues with my teeth not tracking. I thought this was my fault but eventually learned that it was because attachments were not applied to my teeth. It's perplexing why attachments weren't used more consistently. Maybe it's a way to make the treatment last longer than the estimated time and get people to pay more. I didn't get attachments installed until the day I got a brand new tray set that wouldn't stay in. They put attachments in so the bottom tray would stay in but didn't put them on the upper trays. If you do proceed with treatment here make sure you tell them you want every attachment installed. Invisalign won't work properly without them, so I'm not sure why Vickie doesn't use them. The office staff's responsiveness was less than ideal, most of the time I would call the office and then get routed to someone who would relay a message back to the office. Additionally, I had an appointment canceled without notice, and no effort was made to reschedule it, forcing me to adjust my schedule for a last-minute rescan. While there were some friendly faces in the office, like assistant Dante, the woman at the front desk was often rude. Upon review of my initial treatment plan, it says that I'm an orthognathic surgery case but that I declined the surgical route and thus will be receiving a compromised treatment. I do not remember being informed of this nor do I remember being informed that I would have a compromised treatment. The compromised treatment now has my bite in a strange position where my molars don't touch when I bite down. I do see this in my treatment plan although I don't remember it being explained to me. It's very possible these things were explained to me and I just don't remember but I think I would remember if she told me I was an orthognathic surgery case as I'm currently planning to get orthognathic surgery done next year. So if she had told me I probably would have accepted that and started this process 19 months ago. Another thing I noticed upon re-reviewing my experience here was that I was never required or recommended to get my teeth signed off for Invisalign by a dentist. If my teeth were in bad health Invisalign could have been bad for me but I wouldn't have known as I wasn't required or recommended to see a dentist about it. In retrospect, my experience at Vickie Greenberg Orthodontics was awful and expensive, and I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this office to friends or family. If you are considering treatment here, I strongly urge you to seek second and even third opinions from other orthodontists, especially if something doesn't sit right with you during the consultation. read more

Wonderful experience from start to finish! The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. The doctor addressed everything including my jaw clicking and poor sleep due to my mouth/palate spacing, not just the initial gaps and crooked teeth that brought me to the office. I had a removable palate expander, Invisalign and teeth whiting. The Invisalign process was easy, getting scans every 3 or 4 months after completing each set of trays and took a total of 16 months, which was 2 months less than they told me (awesome!). The doctor would ask before each set of trays if there were any specific areas of my teeth/mouth I was worried about to make sure she got my input along the way, The whitening was also better than other types I have done in the past. Wrong assessment. Wrong treatment. Lourdes, the Treatment Coordinator lies. I lost over $2400 for nothing.

This review has been a long time coming. It's been a couple of years since we've concluded treatment there but I feel it's my responsibility to share our experience in hopes of saving other families the frustration and expense. My two youngest kids had braces from Dr. Greenberg. Let my preface this by saying that my oldest child had braces and my two youngest had a first round of braces, all when we lived in San Diego. All three were perfectly wonderful experiences. Of course getting braces isn't fun and can be painful but the orthodontists and staff were aware of that and still managed to make it a good experience. They were kind, warm, knowledgeable, worked with our schedules, gave them tips on making it less uncomfortable. It was a seamless experience three times with two different orthodontists. The reason I chose Dr. Greenberg is that I didn't want to have my son's teeth pulled in order to get braces and she said it was unnecessary, as did our orthodontist in San Diego. The last time we had a quasi good experience in her office was the day we payed for their braces. After we paid, their attitudes dramatically shifted. The most important part of this is that neither of them had straight teeth when they got their braces off. One had regular braces and the other, Invisalign. I expressed my dissatisfaction with the end result of crooked teeth. We paid over ten thousand dollars with a poor result and little willingness to make it right. She did say she would put braces on my son again but wanted me to pay. My son told me he's rather have crooked teeth than go back there again. I understood why. The day my daughter's treatment ended, she first argued with me that my daughter's teeth were straight when very obviously they weren't. She finally admitted they weren't but said that is a straight as they can ever get. During the time my daughter had Invisalign I took her to the dentist for tooth aches and she had two cavities. She just previously had a new set of trays made from Dr. Greenberg. Her dentist said Dr. Greenberg should NEVER had a set made before being cleared of cavities by a dentist. She was absolutely livid and recommended we did not return to Dr. Greenberg. She said she would sue if it were her. The problem is that we would have had to start all over and pay again a new dentist (which is what we are doing after all). When we started going to Dr. Greenberg there was a lovely woman named Georgia who worked in the front and that made going there palatable. She always greeted us with a smile. She decorated the office for holidays. She made it a better environment. Unfortunately, she never returned after having a baby and the office said they had no contact with her afterwards so I'm guessing she felt the same as we did. Dr. Greenberg was condescending, had a strange, almost robotic way about her and seemed to find a way to keep charging us more. This was the one place in their childhood they dreaded going to. They weren't even happy to be able to miss school to go there. Each appointment we all left with a bad feeling. The rest of the staff were somber and often rude. Never a smile, a welcome and as much as we went there, the dentist, nor the hygienists seemed to remember their names or treatment details. In a nutshell, it was an expensive, negative experience with bad results. We have since moved to another state and my young adult children now find it important to have straight teeth again so we have found a wonderful orthodontist here who we are having great experiences and results with but... it's still very upsetting that we have spent so much time and money only to have to pay all over again because of Dr. Greenberg's failure to do her job. read more

I just completed one year Invisalign treatment through this clinic and I would NOT recommend this practice or doctor to anyone, and here is why: Hygiene - the medical assistants who do most of the work inside your mouth were allowed to wear long acrylic nails. At least 1.5 inches long. I complained to the doctor about it, and she said it was the first time she's ever heard that long and artificial nails that harbor so much bacteria and dirt are a problem for a patient. The doctor herself wears long gel nails, so maybe that's why she didn't care for her staff to harbor unsanitary conditions in that practice. Misleading - Lourdes is the person who did my initial consultation and presented the contract. She was nice at first, but the moment I signed the contract, she turned into nothing more than a really nasty car salesperson. She also never lets you finish the sentence or question, interrupts half way and misleads in the conversation. Attitude - obviously the assistants hated me because I didn't let them touch my mouth with their Freddy Krueger nails, so I got a horrible treatment from them. Lourdes just hates the world and is a very unpleasant person on her own. Unreliable when trying to reach - they have limited staff there and most of the time if you call you'll be connected to some kind of phone service who take a message, eventually they call you back, or not. Also, I sent several emails throughout my treatment and only two or three got replied to. Integrity - Please be weary of their 5* reviews. Wow! I'm so glad I came to Vickie and didn't just go with my dentist or the other orthodontist I first consulted with for my Invisalign. She really knows her stuff! I appreciate her attention to the holistic picture, my overall health, my smile and jaw, shoulder and even low back tension, and sleep. Vickie is knowledge in TMJ issues as well as sleep. So she assesses everything to ensure that she's improving it all at once. The other ortho wanted to file my teeth to make them fit. it took me a long time to write this review, because i wanted to be absolutely sure that it wasnt *me* who was at fault for my unsuccessful treatment. i can happily say that i went through 7 more months of invisalign treatment with another orthodontist without incident, without need for additional refinement trays, without need for bio stimulation lasers, etc, etc. i had started in 2019 and began with a palatal expander which was painful, but i do want to say i liked my wider smile. to be honest, invisalign moves the teeth pretty well in the same way so i think they were just trying to sell additional equipment to me? breathing did improve a bit, but given the rest of my experience was poor i am skeptical about all aspects of my treatment. after several weeks of turning the expander to crack my jaw open little by little, i began trays. the issue was my tray changes were every 3-4 days, when the company itself suggests a minimum of 7-14 days. red flag: 3/4 days is NOT enough time for your teeth to move safely. i could have damaged the roots of my teeth. i was also encouraged to eat and drink with the trays in my mouth, which was impractical and very unhygienic as i would have needed to thoroughly clean out my teeth and tray after meals multiple times a day, or else im at risk for cavities. i had to start using a waterpik to manage but it was still tough and i learned not standard protocol for invisalign trays either. you arent really supposed to eat with your trays in! it's not the end of the world, but just bad practice! i had MULTIPLE refinement tray sets. it was madness. i have developed quite a collection of leftover invisalign trays at home as a result. total waste of plastic. staff turnover was also an issue, because i felt like everyone was "new" and didnt know how things go. usually this doesnt matter, but to be honest the person who was putting in my very last set of attachments didnt seem like they knew what they were doing. and if i recall correctly, nobody ever polished the area around the attachments to be sure there wasn't excess material on my tooth which would result in a void in the tray, causing it to not fit well to the teeth leading to poor tracking. i can tell you this because i learned from my new orthodontist whose tech meticulously polished around my tooth and asked me to spot check multiple times to ensure there was no excess material. anyway, my teeth werent tracking well no matter how much i wore the retainers, even purchasing and using an iphone app to keep close track of my timer and progress - 23 hours a day, she said! i WANTED STRAIGHT TEETH, I DID! when i expressed my concerns to the doctor, the only option i was given regarding my difficulty complying with her plan was to purchase $300 sessions of her one-of-a-kind bio stimulation laser which would make my teeth move without resistance for about 24 hours! i can moved through 3,4,5, even 6 trays during that time! i guess root health is not an issue to some drs. and a dr that wont work with you and your needs is a red flag. i drove myself crazy and gave up on treatment for 2 whole years until i found a new orthodontist. i ghosted the office, i couldnt stand it anymore. my teeth tracked perfectly with the new dr, with 14 day changes. & i required no refinements after 7 months of treatment. it was stress free, easy going, with no worrying about how my teeth need to move within a couple of days. it was humane. my invisalign treatment with dr greenberg was anxiety-inducing and more complicated than it needed to be. i felt like i was at fault for failure but the truth is i was set up to fail by her treatment protocol. the staff wanted to cut off my treatment early because i couldnt comply with these poor tray instructions + what i suspect was poor attachment application leading to my failed treatment. they wanted to cut me off even though it was at no material cost to them to manage my treatment as invisalign allows multiple refinements to be ordered for up to 5 years after treatment for free. it felt like a volume-dependent place for that very reason. patients were meant to be churned and burned and that's not what we look for in a medical professional, i would think. your treatment is set to a deadline. if your teeth didnt meet that deadline, it didnt matter. you were done. i dont want that in an orthodontist, do you? read more

I have waited until the middle of my process so I would have a complete review of this place and I have to say that I completely LOVE it!!!!!!Since day one all the staff members: Josie, Angie, Hasmik (and I wish I would recall the other kind people), they have always made me feel welcome and are kind when answering my concerns or questions. My process has been very smooth with **Invisalign** and I have never been this confident and happy with my smile. I am generally reluctant to write bad reviews since 1. I try not to be judgmental and 2. leave karma to do its part. I do however feel it would be remiss and/ or amoral of me to not speak the truth on this place. I have been seeing the doctor for a while now and its been a fair to a bad experience every time I have been there. I am surrounded by doctors in the family (starting w/ my sisters) and I have come to a biased view of doctors as empathetic, patient minded, do no evil people. My association with this practice has changed some of that worldview (maybe I am guilty of treating orthodontists as most doctors when they are just really catering to people's vanity than other altruistic motives) Here are my observations 1. The practice is a patient factory. If you don't care about time spent with the doctor, are an uninformed customer and put cost foremost this might work for you. My personal experience is I was always rushed during appointments. My time spent at medical practices is limited but over the years I have realized I detest practices that treat people as a no. and are only driven by footfalls / butts per chairs. There are 4-5 patient chairs (+ another area for xrays, laser, prints etc.) in a single doctor practice which lends credence that churn is more important than personalized attention 2. The second point flows from the 1st one. The doctor is definitely polite and knowledgeable; yet either extremely busy or disdainfully forgetful of patient concerns (inclined to believe its the former). This shows in her unwillingness or unavailability to educate patients or listen to them. This is my first experience with any medical practice over my existence where the doctor doesn't seem to care to explain herself/ her treatment. Maybe because she sees a lot of children she doesn't feel a need to explain but adults is a different demographic altogether and the practice definitely doesn't seem to cater well to them (i.e. some of the other non positive reviews from adults; biased positive reviews from employees themselves). I had asked when I first saw them that I would want the doctor to discuss the treatment plan with me before the doctor ordered invisalign trays. Obviously this wasn't done. I was surprised by their lack of listening but overlooked it because they had offered me a very fair price for the treatment. The doctor had another opportunity to prove I was being heard when she had to order trays for me again. This time also my concerns were forgotten (again reordered trays w/ bands when both times I had requested no bands so as not to move my jaws; was willing to live with a compromised smile). Also, on my last visit I wanted to raise my residual concerns w/ the doctor (I had an appointment) but they made me wait for over half an hour at which point I eventually left 3. Potential upselling. I think the relationship between patient and doctor is fiduciary. So I went ahead with what was recommended couple of months into the treatment because of the trust. However going with the doctors advice doubled the treatment cost (that with the fact I was charged thrice what they charged other patients for palette expanders). I am still inclined to believe the doctor provided her best advice but cost could have been better laid out at the start of treatment 4. Some of the staff were nothing short of wonderful (Georgia, another woman whose name I forget but will update once my memory is back) while others left a lot to be desired (Hasmik). I always felt I was talked down to especially when I started asking questions. 5. Soon after I had to leave for my home country (since my father passed on) and came back to be told that they will have to take new imprints since my trays no longer fit me. They quoted me a price I couldn't pay since I was job hunting and expended all my savings (I had already paid them 3000 dollars at this point) and promised to be back. 6. After about 1.5 years I went back since I had a job and accumulated enough savings (ahh what all we do for vanity) but was quoted an additional 5,000 dollars to continue the treatment (inc. retainers). This is obviously an add on to the 3,000 dollars already paid. To me that was exorbitant at best and dishonest at worst. On being asked for a breakdown of the 3,000 already paid they first refuted the amount and later confirmed that I had indeed paid that much. They then were unable to produce the breakdown of paid amount. I was obviously not expecting to be treated as a charity case but asking for an additional 5000 dollars from a customer who had already spent a sizeable amount of money showed a lack of empathy or concern or both. This when start from scratch treatments are available for 2500 or less in the marketplace. All in all an experience or an association that left a lot to be desired & probably best forgotten. Certainly wish there was more humility in the world. I will let karma take over from here. read more

I honestly wish this could be a great review, especially since most of, if not all of the reviews for this establishment are great, which is one of the reasons I chose this place. The other reason I chose this establishment is that I work very nearby. Let me begin with day one. I paid for my Invisalign treatment in full. And everyone was nice to me at that time. I paid in full because I saved and did not want to manage monthly payments. Each time I went for a checkup or a new set of my braces, Vicky tried to up-sale me with a treatment add-on. And each time I declined she would say "well it's your treatment". One day, I accepted one of the offers, which was a pallet expander. I paid that in full that day. Within two weeks my expander broke. My theory to why it broke is that it had been filed down several times because it was cutting the roof of my mouth to the point where I was bleeding. The last time it was filed down it apparently became to thin and broke right in my mouth leaving a laceration on my roof which took a couple of weeks to heal. Vicky then proceeded to sell me another one at full price. When I declined, as it was uncomfortable as hell and didn't seem to do what it was intended to do, Vicky said: "well it's your treatment." I proceeded to tell Vicky that I am a medically retired vet on a fixed income, so I don't have a random expendable cash flow, she followed with "well as I said, it's your treatment." You can imagine how I have not been thrilled to come back to any of my appointments. Even though this kind of treatment of me has been going on, I still said to myself that I wasn't going to write a review. Until my most recent appointment. So, I had missed an appointment before my last because I was in the hospital for an unreasonable amount of time because of a Lupus flare. I told her about the flare as she had looked at the chart and noticed that I had missed my appointment. She then starts talking about my diet. I told her that I was a vegan, also active duty military when I was diagnosed and nearly died of it. And that currently, I follow Dr. Amy Myers autoimmune diet, now for the last few years. And in the middle of the room with several other patients and staff members, this woman proceeds to inform me That I am still doing something incorrectly and starts picking my diet apart in-front of everyone. I was SO HUMILIATED! She then proceeds to sell me a laser treatment that had apparently "cured" one of her patients of some kind of pain. I said wow, I'd have to get that cleared by my rheumatologist and naturopathic medicine Dr's before I can even agree to something like that. Dr. Greenberg then said a very sassy "okaaay". And closed out my appointment. There are 2 staff members who I think are genuinely kind and respectful, forget about the rest. I've overheard one of the very phony staff members talking to another about how I always come in looking "ratchet" and that I need to see a specialist for that, and then laughed! First of all, appointment days are also gym days and errand days for me. I don't really care who I impress as long as I'm getting my things in order. I don't need to wear makeup for Drs or dental appointments. Once I get this person's name, I will update my review so that you'll know exactly who I am talking about. And the only reason why I didn't address that situation is that​ there were a lot of people in that day and I did not want to make an excessive scene. Like I mentioned before, I realize that this may be the only review that sticks out like a sore thumb, however, my last visit here was the last straw and I'm sick of being treated like second class every time I go here. I wouldn't recommend my friends or family to this place although I did in the very beginning. This is merely my experience with this practice, I'm not speaking for anyone else but my self. My son is about 2 years into his Teen Invisalign treatment. Dr. Greenberg was referred to us by a family member who travels from Alaska for her treatment here. We figured it must be great. I told her about my son's special needs (autism), and her team has done a great job treating him. He hates going, thinks it's a waste of time, and doesn't want to talk to anyone. Yet, the staff is so friendly to him and doesn't force him to have unnecessary chit chat. It's been 2 years now since I first had my braces put on and I'd have to say that they're well worth it. My husband wore braces for 2 years as well and has reaped the benefits of it. Before he had braces he would snore and stop breathing in his sleep nightly. I would have to nudge him awake enough to tell him to breathe. During the day he would always breathe through his mouth since his nasal passage was so closed up. After he had his palette expansion he has no problem breathing normally and sleeping the whole night through. He barely snores now. The difference is like day and night. He no longer breaths through his mouth all the time like he used to. It's amazing! I'd definitely have to say that the palette expansion has given him a new lease on life. I know that if it wasn't for expanding my palette as well I would have had so many problems. I wouldn't have been able to breath well, and would have had a facial deformity. (My upper palette stopped growing when I was a child, while the bottom grew at a normal rate). This is my second palette expansion and this made a difference for the comfort of my mouth. My tongue was cramped and my jaws hurt regularly due to the growth that happened after my braces were removed the first time, including the lack of wearing my retainers so that my teeth could meet comfortably. I was in pain when I first went to Doctor Greenberg and now I feel so much better. Well, if you're going to take anything away from reading my review it should be to give orthodontia a try if you have problems like us. Braces and orthodontal work is not ONLY for crooked teeth. That is what I hear from EVERYONE. There are so many other things that can be helped by wearing braces and expanding palettes. So, next time you see someone with braces ask them why they're wearing them rather than saying their teeth look straight already. ;-) read more

I went to Dr. Greenberg to have braces applied at the age of 40. Not what I expected to have done at 40 yrs old, but hey, it's either now or never! The office is easy to find in Pasadena, it's a small converted house with minimal parking in front and back - never had a problem with finding a space. The prices was competitive, and never was charged "extra" for anything and no surprises in the pricing or billing. They were always on time for my appointments and I never had to wait longer than 5 minutes. The office is decorated cutesy, more for younger kids (for obvious reasons) with seasonal decor throughout. The staff is friendly and the tools and equipment is up to date and very clean and sanitized. My treatment took 2 years, the exact projected timeline and everything went well with the treatment - my bite was aligned properly and my teeth were straightened. There were some surprises with the teeth movement I wasn't expecting, such as "black triangles" (google it) or triangular gaps where the teeth meet the gums, but that is normal and unfortunately the case when your teeth have been in a certain crooked position for years and years. Kinda of a bummer, but I can live with it. The orthodontics also didn't correct my TMJ, but again, that was a 50/50 chance. I can live without chewing gum, not an issue. Overall it was a good experience....the treatment was great, with regular checkups, and the office staff friendly and they worked efficiently. Literally the only comment I would add, would be that the staff inform the patient of what they're doing (or going to be doing during a scheduled appointment/checkup) in more detail. Like "today we're going to be changing out the bands or putting hardware in place in this area because it will do a,b,c..." something like that. I felt like they didn't really explain what they were going to do, I usually had to ask them - I attributed that to them dealing with a whole lotta children/kids, but do take into account that some adults would like to know what's going to be done as we know literally nothing about orthodontics! read more

Came to this place 2 years ago for Invisalign and I've had a great experience throughout the time. The staff is super friendly and care about you. Hasmik isn't just amazing and very attentive, thank you so much for your wonderful service. The place is always decorated with fun designs and they give you gift cards for your birthday and for referrals. My experience with Dr. Greenberg's office has been wonderful!! I was scheduled for a two-year treatment plan, but was able to get my braces off in just over a year, and avoided jaw surgery! First thing, they brought the new trays out and had me try them on. I did and the bottom ones fit but the tops didn't, and the Lady that was with me got annoyed that they didn't fit...like it was my fault.. oh oh sorry let me just ADJUST my teeth for you. Another thing from the same day is I was also having severe pain in my gums at the front of my teeth. I told this to both of the orthodontist ladies that i saw that day but they didn't seem phased by it..at all. Like MA'AM? Are you not gonna tell me why this is happening or what I can do to lessen the pain. They didn't. All they did was trim the top tray, which still really hurt. I couldn't wear my rubber bands, and sometimes even my trays. Second thing, almost a week ago I lost my last Invisalign tray (mind you I don't have any back ups). So i'm there doing the things to get my retainer right and at some point one lady asked me for my trays and I'm like oh I actually don't have them because I lost them.. And she goes oh that's okay... i'm just thinking, what do you meannn that's okay, I don't get my retainer for two or four weeks and those were my ONLY trays... AND my teeth had already started moving how did the main orthodontist not notice that.... this was like two days ago. I still don't have trays or a retainer. My teeth are still moving. The only alright thing from this experience is that they gave me a pink mask with red lips on it. To sum it up, their employees were quite rude to me these times, and they weren't paying attention to what i was saying. Also they want your all of your money. BUT their place is nice, very clean and has (or had because corona virus has turn that stand into a hand sanitizer table) a Coffee machine stand thing that has a variety of different coffees and hot drinks to choose from. They check your temperature at the door and ask you not to touch anything you don't need to touch. On a scale of 1-10 i would rate this...5 out of 10 would maybe recommend. I'd like to clarify that I've only had these two bad experiences, And that I have been going to this orthodontist for a couple of years. read more
