Greenhouse Penryn has great potential, but if the owners don't make any improvements, they won't stay in business for long. The staff needs some serious training. Slow service, as many have already said. Our waitress behaved unprofessionally. There was obvious lack of knowledge about menu and kitchen options. Not mentioning her stained shirt and apron, she was inhospitable and inattentive. She did not check on our table to refill our water or coffee/tea while we waited for a long time to get our order. When the food came, it was incorrect. We didn't reorder as we weren't willing to wait for another plate this long. Rather than apologize, she proceeded to give us excuses and making it sound like it was our fault. Who's training them? No manners at all. When the check came, there was no discount for our wrong and incomplete meal. The server walked past and dropped our receipt on the table while taking to another employee, her head turned away from us the whole time. No "thank you, hope you enjoyed your meal, come back again" - nothing. No apologies. The food was ok. Small portions are overpriced. The burger patty is quite thin. Limited protein choices to go with eggs (except for 2 strips of bacon - no sausage etc) Side potatoes portion was kid size, eggs Benedict overcooked. Also, be aware this place gets quite noisy when busy. We could not hear one another at our table. If all you care about is your instagram photo - this place might be for you. If you want a good meal and decent service without getting your day ruined, take your business elsewhere. read more

Excellent healthy breakfast choices. The wife had the avocado toast and I had the spinach Benedict. Both were delicious. The lunch menu looked interesting too and had some European items that we will definitely come back and try. Melissa, our hostess and server, was awesome and very kind and attentive. Ima start off by saying that if I were to rate this place a 5 star, it would only be for Kimber. Other than that, i would give this place a one star. Why? Let me explain why, I had planned a surprise baby sprinkle from out of town. Kimber? AMAZING! So easy to talk to and so helpful while planning this surprise baby sprinkle. I was so excited to throw my event at this venue because of her. Anyways, on to my experience here. I arrived an hour early to set up, I spoke with Peter who was very nice and had told me of what the plan would be and had asked if I needed anything. When our event started my guest had no water, I had no server like I told I was going to have. When I had gotten up to ask if we can get our table cleared and food packed so we can get start our activities, I was told someone would come. No one came. I had gotten up to ask for water for my guest and was told someone would come. No one did, it took for me to get up a second time to ask for water and someone finally came. AGAIN, I had to get up and ask for the food to be packed and for our table to be cleared. I approached this bearded man wearing a blazer who I don't know if is a manager or what, but he was very rude. After I asked him about packing our food, he put his hand to my face, told me to wait, and addressed his employee first in his native tongue. Had he gone a better way about it, I wouldn't have mind if he wanted to address his employee first. But it was the fact that he was rude when I approached him first before his employee did. The fact that I paid what 3K? to hold an event here, had no service, no idea who my server was that I PAID ADDITIONAL for, had to ask numerous time for water, was cut off by some man for asking a question, and my guest seeing how attentive staff was to another event on the other side of the venue is WILD! Oh they even laughed at us for wanting to pack the tiramisu to go. I truly was fine with NOT taking anything to go, in fact I didn't care to take anything to go at all. It was for MY GUEST who wanted to take this food to go, it was for the pregnant woman WHO this event was thrown for who wanted to take the tiramisu home. I didn't know it was wrong to want to take food home? lol I never been treated this way, is it cause we look like we don't have money? Oh and one last thing, I paid to have the space from 1pm to 5pm, that's how long my event was suppose to be and that's how long I could have the place until. At 3:30pm, I know the restaurant portion was closed, but staff was already cleaning everything and it had looked like they were waiting for us to leave so they can leave. I really really wanted to like this place and I was really excited to host my event here. My experience here was HORRIBLE and I DO NOT RECOMMEND throwing an event here. This place can keep my money since apparently I'm too poor or don't look like I have money to be provided great service. read more

Had a baby shower here. I would not recommend this place at all. The service is horrible. Never saw our server that we paid hourly for in the package that we got. Never got our water, we had to ask for it. Had to ask numerous time for our food to be packed. The workers laughed in front of us when we were asked if we wanted our dessert packed. Not sure the guys position but when he was asked about packing our food he was rude, told us to wait with his hand in our face just to talk to one of the employee. I've never had such bad service. The Food and coffee was absolutely amazing. Chris, our server, was a delight and quick to take care of us once we were seated. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the initial staff and service. The host, coffee bar staff and what I can assume to be other servers/bussers, all seemed very confused on what was going on as if each person was doing their own job, but not communicating with one another to function as a restaurant. Thankfully, the manager stepped in to help us get our table, but I do believe that the staff could use a little bit more training on communicative service for guests dining with them. read more

We ordered our selections and waited, then the nice waitress came out to tell us they ran out of eggs and it would be 30mins to get restocked. When we were seated we waited about 15 minutes until we were finally greeted and given water. There was also a piece of American cheese...which I refer to as plastic cheese for a reason. The fries were good and there was some sort of dip for them. Probably mayo and ketchup? The restaurant is off to the side by a wall of windows for patio and fountain gazing. The coffee is tasty and full coffee-bar offerings.
