Every single interaction with an employee is horrible. Why is no one smiling? I can understand bad days but it's every single time that I come in. I'm a local and go in all the time and everyone except for one girl is rude. I hope management can work on that with the staff because me and everyone else sees it. So good! I was visiting the area and was recommended Bubba's Bagels for lunch. There was a small line that moved quickly when I arrived. It gave me time to look over the menu and grab some "day old" discounted bagels as well. I opted for the North Beach because I love my sandwiches with a lot of goodies in it. Stopped by right when they opened on a Saturday morning and there was already a line! They're definitely a favorite in the area and I can see why. The store was very clean and lively. We ordered the North Beach on a Pizza Bagel & Yosemite on a Spinach Cheddar Bagel and waited about 15mins for our order to be ready. It's a bit of a wait but not horrible. The Yosemite was hot, steamy, and deliciously soft. It had nice, light flavors which was great for breakfast. The North Beach was loaded with so many yummy ingredients and had a great spicy brown mustard which stood out. I thought both were great tasting, but even though they were both toasted the North Beach bagel wasn't as warm/fresh tasting as the Yosemite. I already found myself craving these bagels the next day, so I will definitely be back for more, and will definitely be trying out their day old bagels to take home and freeze :) Tip - check the name written on the receipt given to you. They had gotten our name wrong as well as the person before us, and we wouldn't have picked up our order properly unless we checked. I'm not so certain that I will be returning. The staff were okay- not great, not rude. Nor were they helpful. I went there looking for flavored bagels and plain bagels, as well. They didn't have all of what I wanted in the fresh bagels, so I bought some "Day Old" bagels. I made my purchase and took them directly to my car and put them into my Yeti with ice packs and drove immediately home. Upon arrival home, I placed all of the bagels in my refrigerator. That being said, the following morning I opened the bagels and found that every one of the "Day Olds" was moldy. Perhaps they were more than a day old. I don't know, but I am really disappointed. The fresh bagels were really tasty, at least. I might go back, but I won't be buying "Day (or week?) Old Bagels from them again. read more

the food is good but the way is constructed is a major issue that could be solved with a simple toothpick, i can't even pick up my sandwich without all the ingredients going in different directions. all things considered the food is not worth the wait and price if all fall apart no? and they forgot my cream cheese with i would think should have been a priority for a bagel shop but what do know. - their also was a little avocado on one of the bagels that didn't describe avocado, my significant other is allergic to avocado so that was pretty scary . also the people who on shift were extremely inexperienced it took 30 minutes for 3 UNCUT BAGLES the experience from the old bubbas to the new is a completely different environment the management needs to be looked at if this is how it is every afternoon. completely unacceptable would NOT recommend read more

I wish i could give them more stars but i did not have a good experience this morning. They are located off the freeway (off Brunswick) in Grass Valley and across the street from McDonalds. I know they can get really busy and i was prepared for it. I ordered at 828 am and did not get my bagel until 9am. I otdered a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese. What i got was a cold untoasted bagel for 5.47. Not even heated up! You can see on the receipt what i ordered. It was doughy and not edible. They are very slow making the bagels. Best bet is to get there before 7am. Smartest way is to order ahead for pickup when you have a nice size order. They do have 40 percent off on day old bagels They also offer sodas and coffee drinks. Honestly i would have been better off going across the street to the big grocery store where they have a selection of bagels and cteam cheese for a third of the price and in out in 5 minutes! They do have an assortment of bagel sandwiches to choose from at Bubbas that look really good. I will not be back. There is parking outside of Bubbas Bagels. read more

First, Bubba's destroys all other bagels. Second the guy that gave 1 star because he cant hold a sandwich without the aid of a toothpick is equal parts absurd and hilarious... get a life, bro. Bubba's is consistently excellent, my breakfast standard is the #2 on onion with pepperjack and add sausage... the ingredients are all high quality, utterly delicious. When people go into an eatery expecting to be treated as though the whole world stops for them and then complain when the staff are more concerned with grinding out high quality food than making them feel as though they were just waiting for them to walk in are equally absurd and hilarious, too. We moved from CA to TX a few years ago and one of the things we miss the most is Bubba's. We can't find a decent bagel in Texas. I wish Bubba's would ship bagels (hint hint). Perfect texture, chewiness, density....I hate Bubba's because it ruined me for bagels from anywhere else (JK)!!! Whenever we are here visiting, we come here! You really can't go wrong with anything but our fave bagels are the pizza and jalepeno cheddar. Our favorite cream cheese is vanilla and garlic. 3 star bagels, 5 star cream cheese I was in town for a wedding and missed out on the waffles at my hotel, so I wanted to find a quick and easy breakfast to start my day. Bubba's was a minute away, and I do love a bagel, so I figured I'd give it a try. It's a small spot but they've got a great selection of bagels and bagel sandwiches. I tried out the pizza bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese & my girlfriend got a salt bagel with garden veggie cream cheese. Both bagels were honestly just OK, but their cream cheese was fantastic. At first it didn't seem like they put a good schmear of cream cheese, but it ended up being a decent amount and was definitely the star of the show. I'd buy the cream cheese to go if I were headed home today, and they do sell it in containers for pretty cheap. Overall, decent spot for a quick cheap bite. I'd go back if I were close by again, but wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

I don't agree with the US trend towards softer bagels. I was raised with traditional NY bagels -- the ones where your jaw would get a good workout gnawing through the bagel's dense flesh. Bubba's Bagels are not those, but the place is named Bubba's, not Bubbie's, so if you change your expectations you can enjoy this busy local sandwich shop. read more

I am extremely disappointed at the quality and more so the extreme price of the bagels that I got at bubba's a few weeks ago. Not only is the front display case showing monster size bagels - larger than a typical bagel, and I thought that might be the draw - what you take home are half the size if not smaller. I was shocked at my receipt, not paying much attention when I was in the store, yet after looking at the website before shopping and seeing the prices I expected, I went home with two dozen bagels for $49. I haven't been back to ask why but a friend of mine said well maybe there was a tip involved!!! What kind of tip could make two dozen bagels total $49 and change??? As far as the quality of the bagels, they were a dense bread and nothing special as far as taste. I got the everything bagels and the sesame bagels. Safeway has a far superior bagel to these for a fraction of the cost as does the Truckee Baking Company. I would never shop there again. read more

That's a bit late especially when you're trying to go to the Yuba River and get there early for parking. I called in my order and when we got there the order was ready within 10-15 minutes. We ordered the Yosemite with plain bagel and The Big Sur with everything bagel. Yosemite Bagel : Mind blown . Everything about this bagel was oh so perfect. The eggs were super thicck and fluffy. The chive cream cheese was soo good and the sprouts added a nice freshness to the bagel. Kind of regretted only ordering 1 for me and the bf to share for breakfast. 5/5 THe Big Sur bagel : Since we were spending all day at the River we wanted to make sure we had some food to much on. This bagel didn't disappoint . Loved that it was overstuffed and had roast beef , Turkey , pastrami , ham , peppercini, tomatoes , sprouts & pickles. It was an overall good sandwich. We asked for the Mayo and mustard on the side so it wouldn't make out sandwiches mushy. 5/5 Overall I would definitely order breakfast and lunch now anytime we come to the Yuba River . I'm a visitor to grass Valley working on a project. I wanted to try one of the local bagel locations this morning. When you drive down the street and there's 10 places to get food and one of the longest lines is at Bubbas bagel you can bet it's probably great. I ordered the number four on a toasted everything bagel which includes cheese, ham and egg. I had them add mustard and mayonnaise cause that's how I like it. The sandwich was fabulous. Bagel was fresh and crunchy, everything was outstanding. The only reason I couldn't give Bubba five stars it's because they use the microwave to cook their egg and looks like everything else so if you are a person who doesn't want their cholesterol severely oxidized in a microwave, then Bubbas is the place for your morning bagel sandwich. Prices are excellent compared to other bagel locations in town. read more

It's nice to have bagels available in Grass Valley. However, these are not the greatest bagels.

The Bubbas bagel we had this morning weighed 2.7oz. A typical NY bagel and the ones a friend recently brought us from SF weigh over 6oz. So half the bagel at the same price! These bagels are so thin and insubstantial, it is very difficult to cut them in half. And, of course, they are steamed, not boiled, like a traditional bagel, so they are fluffy instead of chewy. read more

Congrats on your new location and seemly increased business, nothing bad to say about the quality of your food or service but ONE thing... you shouldn't be touching receipts and order tickets with your gloves you're making food with.. going back and forth touching food and receipts food then receipts, food then receipts.. the paper those receipts are printed on have what is called PFAS (forever chemicals) on them there for you are getting PFAS chemicals all over the food as well which is proven to cause cancer.
