It pains me to give such a low score for this place. The people were very nice and attentive and the restaurant is spacious. Bonus points for K-pop fans because they blast their music videos on the TV. However, this might be one of the worst sushi restaurants in Seattle because the fish was just not fresh. We got a mixture of nigiri's and rolls and every bite, we wondered if food poisoning were to come later that night. Maybe they don't keep the raw fish at temperature safe when it's out on display, but the raw fish was as fishy as my dog's breath with his fish oil. For the rolls, it's mayo and eel sauce explosion to cover up whatever they are trying to hide. One of the rolls we got was the "monkey brains" and we could not tell what was inside. Never a good sign. Luckily, neither of us got sick, but also, we didn't finish any of the items.

I was absolutely heartbroken when I learned that katsu Burger closed at this location, but I could not have asked for a better new business in its place. We had dinner here earlier this week and loved their extensive menu and affordable prices. This is the perfect spot to come with a group and try a handful of different items. Everything from their ramen to their sushi rolls to their their Korean fried Chicken was great and we loved being able to share and split items. Something that I've rarely seen at other restaurants is the ability to get a half roll size. It was really nice that they're also wasn't a large up charge to do this. While I'll always miss katsu Burger, there are a few other locations and I'm so happy to have this new sushi ramen and chicken spot in Ballard

3.5. The staff was so lovely. Kind and helpful. Thus I really want to give it a higher rating. The red dragon roll was the best of what we had. The baked scallop was just really messy and didn't hold together. Flavors are lost. Rice needs more salt Fries Chicken was well breaded and an interesting addition to a sushi menu. Ambiance was simple but clean.

I passed by the restaurant and saw the grand opening sign on 8/13. I was in the mood for Korean fried chicken so I decided to try it for dinner. Staff told me they opened today! Their menu simply listed food items in black ink and the design was pretty minimal, but included a lot of sushi and Korean fried chicken (boneless or with bones/wings). I got the chicken with bones with gochujang garlic sauce that was around $9.5. While I waited, the staff kindly offered a few more pieces of chickens! The chicken came out crispy at the right temperature. I also liked how the sauce was not too garlicky as I've had ones that had way too strong of garlic flavor in other restaurants. Overall, I'm happy that there's a new establishment nearby where I could indulge in Korean fried chicken!

I didn't know what sushi i wanted so I got a variety to try. I got the Philadelphia, dragon, dynamite and the spider roll. I was a little taken back when I saw that the salmon was cooked but that mistake was mine. I think my fav out of all is the spider roll. I will be back to try other rolls and the ramen

The chicken is super crispy and the breading is super tasty! We also loved the baked mushrooms! Very soft and flavorful

Fried chicken with 2 different types of sauce

First time trying Sushilicious and although I ordered take out, the service and ambiance was friendly and welcoming. Seems like a family run business which I am more than happy to support. As for the food, while I was waiting I was graciously given some fried chicken with 2 types of sweet and tangy sauces (so yummy!!!) I ordered the salmon nigiri and spider roll, as expecting it was fresh and delicious! Great portions. I definitely would come back again and dine in this time!

    Fried California roll

Such yummy food! The service was quick but it also wasn't packed when we went. Had edamame, popcorn shrimp, sake, shrimp tempura roll, spicy California roll, and fried California roll! The option of half or full rolls was nice too.

Yummy sushi rolls but my favorite is their Korean Fried Chicken. Don't take my word for it. Try it for yourself. My son Reno is addicted.

I ordered a miso ramen and my parents ordered the tonkatsu ramen. As someone from the Bay Area, I was so surprised by the richness of the ramen and it definitely beats some of my usual spots. Each bowl was ~$15 and a smaller bowl, so would definitely advise getting an extra batch of noodles. The chashu is melt in your mouth tender. The broth wasn't very salty or over complicated itself with a burst of spices, but highlighted the simplicity of a good ramen, tasting the long simmer of the pork. My dad was honestly pretty pissed circling around the area for an hour for parking, but said it was all worth it, even waiting in a long line.

The ramen was incredibly flavorful--rich, comforting, and exactly what you want. Everything tasted fresh and well thought out. I also ordered a draft root beer which was honestly so good and a fun change from the usual. We came with kids and they made the experience extra special. The kids got to pick out a Pokémon card at the bar (huge win), and our waitress went above and beyond--she was so warm and attentive. She even brought the kids Pocky for dessert, which was such a sweet touch. We also ordered the fried chicken--$8 for a huge portion, which is an amazing deal. The dipping sauce was delicious. Personally, I'd prefer the pieces to be a bit smaller, but that's just a minor preference, As well as a real utensils would be nice over plastic. I have only been here during the dinner hours (6 - 7PM) so I can't really say how it is during the lunch rush. Due to how close it is via the 2 line light rail, I haven't visited Kajiken via driving, so I can't really say definitively how the parking situation is. But looking at the restaurant exterior, I think the closest parking situation would be streetside near Cal Anderson park, which for sure will be difficult to find spots as anywhere in Cap Hill would be. From the light rail station, it is only a 10 minute walk at most, which is very accessible and great. Service is fast at the restaurant - even during a busy dinner rush, we were able to always get our food within 10 minutes of ordering. I have tried the Nikumori Aburasoba ($19) and the Homura Aburasoba ($19). They were both absolutely delicious! I think my first visit, I thought that the bowls were a bit small, but the more I ate it, the more filling it feels, and by the end, I felt comfortably full. These noodles are scrumptious, with a pleasing chew. Complimented by the savory and extremely flavorful sauce that clings nicely to the noodles, which is further enhanced by the creaminess of the egg yolk, give these bowls a very enjoyable flavor profile. I really liked the Nikumori bowl, as they are generous with the chashu slices and there is minced pork too! The pork is cooked perfectly - nice chew and meaty in texture, coated in the savory sauce and not too fatty to the point where you get overwhelmed eating it. I think it does lean a little bit pricey, but I guess that $17 - $20 is pretty much the standard for ramen nowadays in Seattle. But I think that Kajiken really hits the aburasoba cravings really well with their quantity and quality. I would come back to try their other options.
