the interior is so cute!!! there's a big tree with lights, bar seating, booths and even a patio. i love how the restaurant is decorated. the restaurant was clean and spacious. the fish ratio to rice is great for the price! the fish and ingredients are all fresh! the salmon skin roll was perfectly crispy and the salmon nigiri was so good and nice and tender and fatty! the ramen was only $10 and was actually so good especially for the price! the noodles were thin, the pork in the soup was so tender and the broth was very flavorful. the service was really good! our waitress cleared a booth immediately for us. she was very thorough with our order and she was super friendly and sweet! they also serve korean fried chicken here but honestly, i was very surprised why this place isn't packed! i HIGHLY recommend trying this place out! we will definitely be back:) read more

Horrible service all around. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was incredibly disappointing. The service was painfully slow, and after waiting a long time, I realized they had completely forgotten my order. What made it even worse was that no one apologized or acknowledged the mistake. I felt completely ignored the entire time. Mistakes happen, but a simple apology and some communication would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left waiting without any updates, and when my food finally came out (which I had to get to-go because it took so long), there was no recognition of the inconvenience. It pains me to give such a low score for this place. The people were very nice and attentive and the restaurant is spacious. Bonus points for K-pop fans because they blast their music videos on the TV. However, this might be one of the worst sushi restaurants in Seattle because the fish was just not fresh. We got a mixture of nigiri's and rolls and every bite, we wondered if food poisoning were to come later that night. Maybe they don't keep the raw fish at temperature safe when it's out on display, but the raw fish was as fishy as my dog's breath with his fish oil. For the rolls, it's mayo and eel sauce explosion to cover up whatever they are trying to hide. One of the rolls we got was the "monkey brains" and we could not tell what was inside. Never a good sign. Luckily, neither of us got sick, but also, we didn't finish any of the items. read more

I was absolutely heartbroken when I learned that katsu Burger closed at this location, but I could not have asked for a better new business in its place. We had dinner here earlier this week and loved their extensive menu and affordable prices. This is the perfect spot to come with a group and try a handful of different items. Everything from their ramen to their sushi rolls to their their Korean fried Chicken was great and we loved being able to share and split items. Something that I've rarely seen at other restaurants is the ability to get a half roll size. It was really nice that they're also wasn't a large up charge to do this. I would agree with another reviewer @SR T. The staff at this new sushi spot is very kind and helpful, and the décor is cute and simple. We went on a weeknight and were seated right away. We ordered the miso ramen, veggie roll, miso soup, and sesame balls for dessert. The ramen portion was generous for the price, though the flavor was a bit bland. The veggie roll lacked crunch, and the miso soup had an odd aftertaste. We were expecting the sesame balls to have the soft, mochi-like texture we've had at other sushi restaurants, but these were deep-fried and tasted mostly of the oil, possibly reused, rather than sesame. The prices are extremely budget-friendly, which helped balance out the experience. While the bathrooms might require some more upkeep. Since they're still new, they may just need more time to refine their dishes. read more

I passed by the restaurant and saw the grand opening sign on 8/13. I was in the mood for Korean fried chicken so I decided to try it for dinner. Staff told me they opened today! Their menu simply listed food items in black ink and the design was pretty minimal, but included a lot of sushi and Korean fried chicken (boneless or with bones/wings). I got the chicken with bones with gochujang garlic sauce that was around $9.5. While I waited, the staff kindly offered a few more pieces of chickens! The chicken came out crispy at the right temperature. I also liked how the sauce was not too garlicky as I've had ones that had way too strong of garlic flavor in other restaurants. I was shopping in Ballard and decided to try them since they were nearby. The Texas Sushi looked like an interesting choice with pieces that were a bit larger then ordinary. They had several other options I'd love to try in the future. My server also brought out a delicious sample of Crispy Korean Chicken with a spicy sauce. In the middle of the store is a tree that goes to the ceiling with lights that I thought was a fun touch. I'll keep them in mind next time I'm at nearby Push/Pull, going to a concert or at a game. When he was about to leave my girlfriend had to yell out her order to him because she was ignored while having orders taken.. she ordered one avacado roll, appetizers came to the table, then entrees. First time trying Sushilicious and although I ordered take out, the service and ambiance was friendly and welcoming. Seems like a family run business which I am more than happy to support. As for the food, while I was waiting I was graciously given some fried chicken with 2 types of sweet and tangy sauces (so yummy!!!) I was really excited to see a choice for Korean fried chicken in Ballard. We got the boneless wings and the cucumber salad. Service was friendly and the food was delicious. The chicken's batter was crispy and crunchy. We tried the soy garlic, honey, and spicy garlic and texted friends in the neighborhood to recommend it before we'd even got through the meal. The daikon and the cucumber salad were a refreshing light change from the richness of the chicken. As of August 2025, the prices are incredibly reasonable for Ballard. My wife and I just happened to be here on their second day open. The food was delicious and SO reasonably priced - cheaper and higher quality than the average restaurant in Ballard. We had some boneless chicken, a friend sushi roll, gyoza, and miso soup and everything was delicious. The fried Oreo dessert was super tasty as well. It was clearly a family owned business and the waiters were super attentive and friendly - even asking us for feedback on how they could improve. Overall it was a great meal at a killer price and we will be back really soon! Lovely spot, staff, and reasonably priced. The bowls came to us warm, not hot at all. The ramen didn't taste fresh. Pasta, rice, various noodles have an unmistakeable texture after refrigeration. Noodles didn't have the stretchy pull, but rather broke easily. Also the slice of pork belly in broth didn't seem fresh either. Thought it was a mushroom slice. Ordered the 6 pc. chicken which was wingettes and they were as huge as drumsticks. The fried batter was crunchy but oily, and chicken skin underneath was gummy. The sushi at table near us looked AMAZING but ramen is my thing. Disappointed. I'm sure fresh it's amazing, flavors were good. Great ambiance went in at 3pm only three tables of customers, likely cutting corners for overhead and save/keep noodles/broth premade and refrigerated. Savvy ramen heads will know instantly.
