Been here a couple of times now and very pleased with every drink i've ordered. The store front itself is very large with alot of seating. There is plenty of table space, so for those looking to study, this is an excellent choice. The service is always good, and the drinks come out quickly. The spanish latte I usually substitute whole milk for oat milk, and it always comes out perfect. The shot is well pulled, and the ratio between the milk and espresso shot were spot on. The blueberry lavender and strawberry matcha were standout drinks, both utilizing very flavorful matcha. The matcha was both strong and smooth, which were complimented nicely with the blueberry lavender and strawberry flavor. From what I can see, the syrups were mixed into the milks, and the strawberry one specifically had actual strawberry puree which was a flavorful touch. Overall these drinks were made with a level to detail that is much appreciated. The hojicha latte was also very good, the quality is strong and the overall experience has me coming back and ordering this drink regularly. Grid offers a good balance between being visually appealing both in interior design and drink assembly while serving well thought out drinks. The quality of the espresso and matcha come across easily and are paired well. Been really loving Grid Coffee lately -- such a vibe. The space is super minimalist and modern with cute art and this cool Japanese paper lantern that makes it feel extra cozy and aesthetic. I'm literally obsessed with their iced double matcha -- it's soooo good. The matcha einspänner was just okay for me, but the latte einspänner was pretty solid too. And their croffle (I got the plain one) was perfectly sweet and pretty filling and just the perfect little snack. Service was okay. I came during grand opening weekend since they were running a BOGO deal. The line was pretty long and there was only one person who was taking orders. We waited 40 minutes to order and another hour to pick up our drinks, which was expected. Workers were nice and apologized for the long wait. The place is very spacious with plenty of seating. There are outlets against the wall only but it doesn't seem like a super comfortable place to study/do work, only because none of the seats have back support. The atmosphere is also really loud with the music playing and with the amount of people waiting for their drinks/hanging out there. There's also no AC so it's really hot and stuffy. What I ordered: - Cream matcha latte: this drink was really bad unfortunately. The matcha was so powdery and grainy, and the drink was so watered down that I tasted almost no matcha. The cream didn't do anything to the drink either - Blueberry matcha latte: I wanted to order the strawberry matcha latte but they were out of strawberry :( The matcha itself tasted exact the same as my first drink (very watery), but the blueberry was so sweet that it was able to make the drink taste decent. I do like that they use real blueberries and put those in the drink. The chia seeds added an interesting texture and didn't feel overwhelming. This place is so cool! The vibes are truly great. At first I thought I wouldn't love the almost warehouse-looking seating, but I realized it grew on me, especially with the shelves, the black furniture, the pop of color in the corner, etc. It's not a thoughtless kind of setup, but almost effortlessly cool minimalist, which I dig. This has so much space, you wouldn't know how much when you first walk past the store but there's plenty of seating. However, it also gets quite busy (even so, I've always managed to find a seat). This is a great place to get work done. There's free wifi (though when I came in once, it wasn't working for me or my friend and they said it was because too many people might have been connected), the drinks are full of caffeine and yummy, and the people who work here are just really cool! The seating is... not my favorite, what with the no-back seats (I had to keep reminding myself not to slouch). But even with this barrier, it's always busy, so I guess it's a way of crowd control? The corner tables have better seating (the one against the wall is more plush rather than stiff and you can lean against the wall). I do like those quite a bit. The drinks though! The prices are comparable to other coffee/matcha places, which I appreciate. I do love the amount of variety and options there are and I especially love the unique options they provide. I've tried the following: Strawberry Caffe Latte, Cherry Mocha Caffe Latte, and the Double Matcha Latte. Strawberry Caffe Latte (5/5) - This was the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. The strawberry had a slight sourness that worked well with the cold brew. This was a good drink. Would repurchase. Presentation was also really cute! Cherry Mocha Caffe Latte (2.5/5) - This was almost not enough of the cherry or the mocha. It felt a little tasteless despite the many flavors going on. I didn't get enough of the cherry, and I think I wanted a bit of a stronger mocha to cut a stronger cherry. This felt almost bland. Didn't really taste like coffee either. Double Matcha Latte (4.25/5) - If you drink the matcha on its own, this is not great. The matcha is almost too diluted/watery. I do like my matcha strong, and this just tasted vaguely matcha-y, but almost like an afterthought. However, the matcha cream top saved it, hiding the fact that the actual drink wasn't super matcha-y. The cream top tastes PERFECT. It's intensely matcha-y, not too sweet, and the right consistency where it sits on top of the drink so you get some with every sip. Make sure to grab one of their sip lids and not use a straw for this one. Having tried the Double Matcha Latte and not loving the actual matcha latte, I think I would steer clear of the matcha drinks that aren't the Double Matcha Latte (which makes me sad because their blueberry matcha looks good!). read more

Grid Coffee is a really cute coffee shop on Bristol in the plaza with Target. I've been on a matcha kick lately and wow Grid Coffee's matcha did not disappoint. My 2nd time there, I ended up waiting a tiny bit with no line, but I'm never in any rush, so no problems for me personally. Otherwise, nothing stands out in the realm of negative. The drinks themselves were middle of the ground. I ended up ordering a mocha the first time and a Spanish latte the 2nd. I didn't think it was anything stellar, but I also think it got the job done. With the good reviews from the original location, I guess my expectations were very high. Again, not knocking the place, and it's certainly serving an area that could use a nice 3rd space. I came across this place on Instagram and TikTok, so I was excited to check it out! The store was super clean and had spacious seating. I asked about their BOGO deal, which is happening during their grand opening this Saturday, 5/24! A spacious coffee & matcha shop that many students seem to enjoy. I'm a remote worker and was hoping to find a seat but it was so packed! And they have plenty of seating too, I think I just came at a busy time (finals). I ordered the double matcha with oat milk which was very good quality.
