besa is a matcha and coffee shop that also doubles as a healthcare clinic, which is executed really well as you can get a drink while you wait for a visit if needed, otherwise you can stop by and go, study, or just chill here. It's located in downtown Santa Ana which gives a lot of options of things to do around the area if you're not just there for a healthcare visit. There's plenty of seating, which is super accommodating, and the people are all so nice! The decor and aesthetic that it has built is also really relaxing and cozy, which really elevates the overall experience being here! Drink wise, their menu is pretty diverse on the matcha side, which I'm more inclined to go for. Their most popular choice is the strawberry matcha, but I went for the tropica-matcha, which uses mango cold foam, and island matcha, which uses a coconut water base and matcha cold foam. The tropica-matcha was so good, and one of my favorite mango matcha iterations I've had around OC! Very glad I went with this as my first drink here before branching out as I've had so many normal matchas and strawberry matchas that I wanna branch out and try new ones. I highly recommend it! The island matcha was more refreshing from the coconut water base, and I'd also recommend it if you're a fan of coconut water matcha combinations. The drinks are a bit pricey, but honestly for what you get and also being a healthcare clinic, I think it's well worth the price!

Vibes are immaculate! This place just opened a month ago and it offers so much. The inside of the coffee shop serves a dual purpose as a waiting room for their health clinic. They offer primary and mental health care services & yummy drinks and pastries. Upon walking in, Matthew welcomed me and was so nice! He had great chat and was very informative. The decor is clean, open, and modern, offering excellent song choices They have plenty of tables, natural light, and clean restroom. As for the drinks, they offer a variety of matcha and coffee. I got the Matcha Matcha which had a yummy matcha cold foam and a cute "besa" detail on top. It is on the sweater side so if you like less sweet, they have plenty of other options. I will be back to try their coffee and sit to do work here.

How to Get here? I work in the area so walking was a breeze. It can't speak on parking aside of the street metered parking and structures in the area. Upon entering I was greeted by Matt, friendly and welcoming. Immediately asked if it was my first time. We chatted a bit about the recent history and renovations of DTSA as well as the interesting fact that Besa is not only a coffee shop, but it's also a clinic servicing general and mental health. Now that's different! We also discussed the popular and the favs on the menu. Spanish Latte is apparently one of their strengths so I gave it a shot. What I Ordered? - Spanish Latte (Iced 16oz) $7.50 It's a decent drink. Simple, no sweetness, aside of the condensed milk and cinnamon, you're tasting the espresso which Matt tells me is a local roaster. Would I rank this Spanish Latte in my top 5 or even 10, maybe not. For context MADE (Fullerton) or The Classic Cafe (Fullerton) offer strong top 5 contenders in my book. ***Coming in at over $8 after tax is applied, you just might feel like getting your head checked. While he worked on my drink I walked the space, snapped up some pics and caught a head nod or to to the mellow 90's r&b that was playing subtly through the space. Before I knew it, the latte was ready. Overall, Besa is a nice lil cafe / clinic. Solid stars for friendly service. Very clean and good lighting. You've got a decent amount seating and tables for study or work. Still some room for improvements on the menu / pricing. It's new, so working out the kinks is expected. Definitely worth giving em a try.

Love the idea of a clinic and coffee shop, I will say I'm not quite sure how that works so that will take some research. I ordered a plain matcha and that unfortunately did not hit the mark. The matcha itself seemed oxidized and had a dull taste to it, not at all the brightness you look for in a good cup. Even from the photo of my drink you can see it has a very muted color that doesn't quite match a usual cup of Matcha. They are still new so there is some grace to be had due to that fact. I would go back to test out their coffee and will be able to make a better recommendation then

I came here the other day for the first time and it was such a cute little vibe! I ordered the strawberry matcha and the very berry latte. The matcha was good just definitely on the much sweeter end, not bad! The service was nice and helpful! The Very Berry Latte was good too! Will definitely be back to try more

Besa Coffee is located in heart of downtown Santa Ana - such a cute spot to study, work, or just grab a drink to go! Definitely would recommend to check out! Good vibes and tunes for sure. Will definitely be back! I ordered a Berry Blast Matcha and rate it a 9/10! Very refreshing

New coffee health shop located in DTSA. Parking was extremely difficult to find especially on the weekend. The inside was super modern and looks like a great place to study. Staff was super friendly as well and said hi to my doggo. There was also a water bowl for dogs outside their shop. I gave it a 4/5 stars because the coffee was super pricey and i thought it was pretty standard. i believe it was 8.50 for the besa butter latte. BUT that's the only reason for docking, otherwise a great coffee shop!!

This coffee shop has nice decor, and a great place to grab a coffee and relax. I was able to modify the sweetness of my drink which is great. Customer service was great and the drink I ordered was delicious. Dab was the person who made my coffee and she was so helpful, inviting and accommodating.

I ordered the cookie butter latte, even though it was one of most expensive items on the menu. I thought it had to be delicious. I feel like the price point was very high for the latte and although the service was nice and the baristas were sweet I feel like the price point for a coffee is just a bit too high, 9.57 with taxes. They had some nice music vibes going on. I went midday during the week and it wasn't too busy at all. With so many other options I just don't think I'll return at the price point unfortunately.

What a cool concept! Besa combines the best of both worlds: mental health services while giving you an option to get coffee and matcha. They've been open since February and the vibe is really nice. I can appreciate a new matcha/coffee spot with a new concept. What we got: Berry Sweet Matcha: I got mine 75% sweet and it was just a little too sweet. I like my drinks a little less sweet. The consistency is very good though. Berry Sweet Latte: Sipped on the berry latte, perfect sweetness as it was only 50%. I really like the texture. Strawberry Matcha: The strawberry one with 50% sweet is the best. I will come back for this place. read more

They offer primary care, urgent care, and specialty appointments throughout the day, all while running a full cafe in the front. This unique approach creates such a welcoming, patient-forward environment! There's also plenty of seating if you're looking for a new study spot and so many fun drink options. I ordered the Spanish latte with cold foam and it did NOT disappoint. It was perfectly sweet without being overpowering, super smooth, and had that creamy condensed-milk vibe that makes a Spanish latte so good. Definitely a 10/10 if you like your coffee sweet, creamy, and aesthetic. I'd order it again read more

Service was nice and friendly and the place was clean and a good amount of seating. I only got the matcha drink and the matcha was not good quality. I can't even finish the drink because it doesn't taste well, and for being $9 is crazy. Hopefully their coffee is good. read more

I had the strawberry matcha with almond croissant! Both are AMAZING! The strawberry matcha was sweet but not overpowering while the matcha wasn't powdery like some places. The croissant was toasted, soft and fresh tasting, and not dry! I'll definitely come back! read more

Found this coffee shop just doing a quick search on Yelp for places in Orange. It's super cute and clean inside and they have a great selection of beverages! I was already drawn to the Besa Butter Latte which was absolute perfection and my wife got the Sweet Bee Latte and she loved it! Dab was so kind and welcoming! Street, metered parking. It was nice inside with many options and friendly staff. My latte was okay - not great. Price is for 12oz and they charge you for 16oz, which I did not realize when I ordered. Again, it's fine. I wouldn't go out of my way. They seem to be a health office too? Unsure. read more

Wow! We ordered breakfast at a nearby food truck and discovered Besa, a new coffee shop that also has a health clinic inside. I wouldn't have known that there was a health clinic even after walking in so it is definitely more "coffee shop" forward which is cool. I immediately loved the vibe of this place upon walking in and was SO happy to see a new spot in Santa Ana! Very relaxing interior overall. Their menu has lots of speciality matcha and coffee options, which I appreciate because sometimes matcha isn't as centered at other coffee shops. I got the Lovely Lavender Matcha and it was delicious! It had just the right amount of sweetness and was creamy without overpowering the matcha. They even spelled out their logo with matcha on the top of my drink which was a cute surprise. My boyfriend went with a classic and got the Mocha and he enjoyed it as well. Customer service was fantastic! Both employees at the front were wonderful and we chatted about their recent opening. We will definitely be back and are looking forward to exploring the health clinic options as well! read more

Stopped by on my way to the flea market downtown and the vibes are nice! it's a clean and calm atmosphere, I can totally see this as a spot for people doing homework here and just getting work done. The cashier was super nice and helpful! The coffee itself was pretty good I got a latte with oatmilk and brown sugar with a cookie butter foam and it was perfectly sweetened so not over the top. I'll definitely be back :) read more

Came across this spot by chance when looking for some coffee in the area. I ordered the butter latte - it was good espresso with balanced sweetness. Nicely designed space with ample room for hanging out or studying. The owner was pleasant to talk to. read more

The barista was super friendly too and chatted with me while making my drink. That said, the drinks don't always scratch the itch for me in the way I might expect but it might just be that their speciality drinks aren't quite what I typically look for. Nonetheless I do still think they have a strong coffee program and a team that clearly cares about craft.

I came in today and was served by a blonde cashier who felt cold and unfriendly. She was very bubbly and warm towards the patron (who was also a white woman) before me, who maybe seemed to be a friend or a regular. They were chatting for a bit and when it came to be my turn at the register, her face completely fell and she did not welcome me or say any greeting. Just.....silence........so I awkwardly ordered my drink. Once I said my order, she turned her head to the specials menu, and had a cold, blank expression, which made me think that it was out or that they couldn't do what I asked. I asked her if the drink I ordered was available, and there was a long pause before she dryly laughed it off and said that she didn't register what I was saying. It felt like a lame excuse and it felt so awkward; so I just tried to be as polite as possible and continued with my order. I wanted to just sit down and leave asap. It was so disorienting because she had acted in a completely different way with the girl before me. I just shrugged it off as a bad day, but when I consulted my friend about it, she said that the same girl acted in the same way towards her. And then I came here to write a review and saw that another Asian woman seemed to have a similar experience, so it doesn't just seem like a one-off thing....

Coupled with the faint smell of tea in the store, and you know that you're going to get an authentic experience. Store is very clean inside and the decor reminds you of being in a tea house. There's only about 3-4 tables inside, so not too many places to sit if it gets busy. You can order through a kiosk or in person, and the service is usually pretty timely. I ordered the Roasted Oolong tea latte and the Phoenix Oolong tea latte, both of which are their more popular drink selection. I usually try to get the lowest sugar level which was 10%. Of all the tea places I've tried, these drinks easily had the strongest tea flavor at that level of sweetness. If you're not use to the bitterness from tea, you might elect to select a higher level of sweetness to balance it out. The oat milk has a very subtle flavor, but also doesn't overwhelm the drink. Either way, I thought both drinks were well-made.

Would obviously go for more next time and tried more from their selections. I've been eyeing on their Wintermelon Tea Latte!!

As someone who's a bit of a matcha latte snob and makes them at home regularly (plus has tried what…read morefeels like every matcha latte in San Diego), I do not say this lightly....Aroma has my absolute favorite matcha latte. The flavor is incredible, perfectly balanced, and the matcha-to-sweetness ratio is spot on. I order it exactly as it comes because there is truly nothing I would change. It's perfection. On top of that, the staff is always so kind and makes the experience even better. And yes... the hour to hour-and-a-half drive is 100% worth it every single time.
