Despite a good upfront experience, I am really bummed with the service provided. After being told there were no issues with my used car, 3 weeks in (once the weather called for it) I found out the AC is not functioning. After calling the dealership to have them take a look due to how recently I bought the vehicle, they ultimately refused. Sadly, will not be bringing this car back for repair, purchasing from this dealership in the future, or recommending to my network. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. One of their dealership trucks hit our truck on the road, and smashed our mirror off of our truck. They promised us they would get us a new mirror. Fine. When we heard no updates over a week span we drove down to the dealership (we live an hour away), the mirror had been there and nobody called us back to have us come get it. When we opened the box the mirror was used and dirty, and the wrong model. Looked like they ripped an old mirror off a junk car and put it in a box. Still with no updates and no one answering the phone we drove down for a second time couple days later to talk to the manager. He was extremely dismissive, rude and wouldn't listen to what we were saying. We did get a second mirror ordered that showed up a week later. Whole process was almost a 3-4 week ordeal. I've never experienced such a low standard dealership. The manager was unpleasant and bias. When I tried getting in contact with someone higher up I was ignored and never contacted back. Went to buy a certified 2015 CRV advertised for $17450. Car was fine, test drive was fine. Sales associate did his job. When I sat down to negotiate, the sales manager added $1500 to "activate certification." I told him it is advertised for 17450 and it doesn't mention anything about activation fees. They didn't budge. They said it's not there fault, it's the advertisers. Worse though, I budged and said I didn't want the certification. They still wouldn't honor the price advertised on their website. They added conditions such as "we will honor that price without certification if you finance with us for 72 months at 30% apr." Horrible dealer. Basically told me to fuck off. Wouldn't take responsibility for their own website. Hidden charges and fees. They try to play you and unless you are familiar with how dealers play the game, it would be very hard for someone to navigate and draft a good deal. This dealership is deserving of it's one star rating on Yelp. I had an appointment set up to see a specific vehicle, and drove 2 hours to get to the dealership. The day of my appointment the online sales rep texted to confirm my appointment and then texted to confirm that I had arrived at the dealership. I was then told by the sales rep at the dealership that the vehicle sold that morning and that they were sorry. The manager told the representative to offer me a "top up" of my gas tank for my troubles. The manager could not even be bothered to come over and apologize. I have been servicing my 2017 accord here even-though I purchased it elsewhere. Big mistake! Came for an oil change, left with a broken driver seat. According to manager Linda, her employees did not ruin the seats' electric motor while doing complimentary car wash! Big coincidence that my settings of seat adjustment with my key phobe was changed while it was being serviced! The seat now doesnt go up as it used to and makes a very loud noice that was never there! Linda basically told me that I am responsible to get it fixed, that I have to wait 3 hours for them to find out whats wrong. I bought a used Subaru Crosstrek from Grieco Honda. I instantly noticed a weird smell when I went to test drive it and was told by the salesman Donny that 'all used cars have a smell'. The smell got worse and worse, no matter how much I Febreezed the seats and used air fresheners. I finally days later discovered a trunk full of swamp water under the spare tire! They refused to bring the car in immediately to have it cleaned... I had to clean it myself, and they are giving me a complete runaround as far as getting the car back in to replace the fabric and styrofoam parts in the trunk that are filled with bacteria and mold spores. The spare tire also needs power washing as it is covered in mud and mold. They did not disclose any flood or submersion damage, and are playing it off like it's a leaky gasket around the hatch. That doesn't account for the mud and swamp water that was in the trunk!! They also did not provide me with any of the paperwork after the sale, such as the bill of sale, odometer disclosure, financing information or the carfax report. The salesman just keeps giving me a song and dance, and the General Manager is in hiding, refusing to communicate directly with me. Spent the better part of an afternoon trying to get information on a car they had online today, one call and mostly texting. I explained I was 1.5 hours away and wanted to streamline things before I got there. Mostly wanted to know how my trade was going to be valued. I couldn't get any straight answers on my trade, also couldn't get any straight answer on a price if I didn't trade. I saw nothing but red flags. I'm so glad I read the 240 plus reviews on Yelp, one horror story after another and didn't waste a day and 3 plus hours of travel having the same outcome. We purchased a car from them about 1 year ago and realized several things. While we love the car that we purchased we realized this dealership made us pay for things we didn't need. First of all, we had a Bank of America loan with a lower interest already approved. Yet when we went to the finance guy, he wouldn't let us use it. He said it was "in the contract" that we had to use one of their finance companies. Secondly, they made us pay for "GAP insurance" which was incredibly more expensive than what we would get through our car insurance (ie. through Geico it would have been $650 less!). They also said we "had" to get their GAP insurance. Thirdly, they made us pay for "Zurich shield" which was completely unneeded for us. It was a couple hundred we didn't need to spend. I was honest and said I didn't want to pay for these items, yet it was added in. I would read what you're paying for exactly! I would not go to them again nor recommend them. read more

I will never go back there.Like another person said on here,"if I could give zero stars, I would." They are the epitome of shady salesmanship. Went to two other dealerships prior to stepping on this lot. Both were more than happy to give us pricing, trade in estimate and interest rates on financing even before checking our credit. Greico ran my credit before even letting us test drive. We test drove an HRV and a CRV (escorted by salesman which I found odd) for my college aged son. We were told there was only one 2021 HRV left on the lot. That one ended up selling while we were there but magically another one was available and no others were coming in stock (at least without checking with the manager first). It was not the color he wanted so we were debating about going back to herb chambers in Seekonk as they had some that were coming in stock in the color he liked. When I told the salesman we were just going to head out. He asked us to stay and let him talk to a manager. I basically told him that I was not looking to haggle and to just give me the best price that he could and what the payments would be based on our trade-in and a down payment. Manager came over and was very standoffish. He asked me what I was looking for and I mentioned that I just was looking for a price and what the payments would be based on our trade in (FYI- their web deal stated they would give 25% above trade in value). Here's where things got dicey, he was not looking to run any numbers unless I was looking to move forward with the purchase. They were not going to honor the National Honda APR rates offered of 0% for 48, 0.9 for 60 and 1.9 for 72 months. With my 763 credit score was trying to offer me 6%. APR. I explained to him that Herb Chambers was offering the national Honda dealer APR rates and they were more than happy to run the numbers as well as give me money off of the MSRP.This is where his demeanor changed as he then asked me why I was even there then? I told him that I was asked to stay by his salesman. He proceeded to tell me someone else will pay MSRP and that was his best price. I'm a middle aged Asian woman at 5 feet tall. I felt very much like the manager was trying to intimidate me as he remained standing (at over 6' tall) while mansplaining down to me in a demeaning tone as if I was trying to swindle him. I did my due diligence researching and visiting other dealerships and I'm so glad I did! We drove to Herb Chambers immediately after and put a deposit on a brand new car that was coming in stock in the color he wanted, a trade in value on his car and at the price we could afford with the low interest rate financing. This is the second car we've bought from Herb Chambers and now I know not to bother going anywhere else. Lesson learned. So, this place scheduled my 3rd oil change past the "expiration date" of the voucher. The nature of oil changes being spaced out according to mileage and/or date, that was within their control. I called a month ahead of the advised 3rd schedule to come in and was told I have to pay regular price now. Consolation: they would honor the face value of the voucher I have so I can pay at a discount. Pls. note their promo period was only 6 months. Awful. Would give zero stars if I could. They didn't even have the suv that we were looking at, even though we were told it was there. They had keys to another suv, but that wasn't even there. Ended up decided to negotiate on another suv... Told him we have excellent credit, and we didn't want to put any money down. They came back and asked us for 5k down! They were overpriced, insulting, and lied to us to get us in. The girls in the office will tell you anything to get you in when you call, salesman even told us that. He also said that we would be his first sale, if we bought from him and that the other salesmen would cut his tie if he made a sale. Good ploy, Taylor, but it was a lie. He's sold cars prior to us. I can't reply directly to your comment, Michael, but, no way am I giving your dealership another chance. We drove all the way there to look at a vehicle that apparently didn't exist, even though we were told it was. Although I know you pay more at the dealer, this place is really good. 1) They offer a rewards program that is pretty generous (I was able to deduct $55 off my bill yesterday because of it). 2) When I email questions about service, I always receive a prompt and thorough response. 3) They wash your car when they service it. (It's the little things). 4) My dog is welcome there & always receives a ton of attention from the staff. 5) Katie is helpful, courteous, and makes sure to determine if certain services ACTUALLY need to be done rather than just suggesting things be done to make a buck. I trust her. I don't know that I've ever said that about a service advisor at any other garage. The only reason for the 1 star deduction is the cost. But, you get what you pay for!! read more

Once the salesperson knew I had shopped HE REFUSED TO OFFER THEIR PRICING, instead he asked for the the other dealers pricing, such a low way of doing business, I say do your own work, not try to get the other dealers numbers, then I'll compare and decide. Grieco didn't want that, instead they wanted numbers, I finally gave in because I didn't want to spend all day. Should've left their once I knew they were lazy and just wanted to feed off someone else's hard work, I didn't though. Next they didn't want to honor their own trade in offer that was on their OWN WEBSITE - instead the manager said that ended on the 9/7, I was like well here it is on your website. So after crying they gave the trade number that was in their own ad. What happened now is FRAUD - They pulled my CREDIT WITH only a signature, dob and date, I NEVER FILLED OUT A CREDIT APPLICATION, WORSE YET, They now had my credit score and info AND NEVER HAD ME SIGN A PRIVACY NOTICE IN REGARDS TO MY INFORMATION. I mention the above because now they know my score is 787 and they bring out payment numbers, keep in mind they have my credit score so I'm qualified for top tier credit which is 1.9% and I was going to be financing 34,800 roughly. HERE'S ANOTHER FRAUDULENT ACT TO BEWARE OF - They have the salesperson bring me the payment of $700 a month for 60 months which. He says does that work for you - NO ! When one is borrowing the above amount at 1.9% the payment is around $610 monthly. ( every thousand borrowed at 1.9% equals roughly $17 a month for 60 months.)This dealership tried to slip one by BUT THEY DID IT TO THE WRONG PERSON. SOOOOO DISHONEST . I Walked out. Believe i have leased 7 times with Grieco and the last few times we had some issues. Looking back at it i see i was very angry when negotiating every time and to me it was normal. Until i needed a vehicle for myself this time and decided to buy new and with another dealer. I gave a review that was posted on the home page because it is how dealing should be. I did true price, i went to one dealer, said what is your best deal, and then went back and they beat it. Had like $10k off sticker in the end with rebates and discounts and was very happy. Focus was the price of the car from the start, not how much do i want to pay. Past few years i was questioning, does Mike Grieco save me thousands and i don't believe so. I have looked through my paper work and researched and i always believed i was paying too much. It just took time to show the wife this since it was her purchase. So when it was time to lease that 8th vehicle, i skipped Grieco and started to negotiate with other dealers. The proof is in the pudding. Grieco always starts off with that "T" deal on a piece of paper. I have learned to run away from that. Always focused on what price i want to pay. Well obviously i don't want to over pay, but i think i should pay what others pay. I turned in a Lease to another dealer. Was able to get into a new CRV with no money down at signing. Looking at this deal and last deal. I had a $1,000 rebate this time around and came out with a $350 month payment for 36 months. Grieco had me down for $1,600 cash down and a $410 payment for 39 months. Knew i was paying too much and I see i paid full MSRP on the car. Both my new car purchase last year and this new one now was all over email. Grieco deals.....they want you to come in first. Look at the review stars here. I gave this 5 stars back in 2013. Something is being done wrong at the dealership. New people working at that place all the time. I know of one guy that might have 20 years there. This Metro/Grieco relationship that has run for about 20 years and i think has finally ended. This is based on my experience with buying 2 cars from other dealers recently VS the many cars from Grieco i have leased. If they would of just saved me thousands in the beginning, maybe i would still be going. The dealership should not pressure us into giving 5 stars everytime we go. Something they should not do. Back in August we were told you had a 2023 CRV that could be test drove etc. Once we got there we were told by the salesman that was a lie to basically get us in the door. We did put down a $500 refundable deposit. But since you're asking $5-7,000 over sticker we went to Boch Honda and purchased it for just $2,000 over sticker. When I reached out to the salesman Alex he said he would fill out thr paperwork to get the check sent to us for the deposit. Almost a month later and still no check. My husband called today and asked for the sales manager who never gave him his name was very rude and unprofessional. He told him it's a process to get the refund. Grieco Honda did not register my car as I was told. I was doing a plate transfer. I had multiple issues with this sale, I had originally canceled it but they followed me outside to try to fix their false promises. Which they seemed to rectify. Unfortunately, that was a huge mistake. I purchased this car in August and the registration wasn't done until October. I reached out multiple times and was told they would take care of it. They never called back when they said they would. I even got pulled over because my plates were still linked to my previous vehicle and expired in addition. I had to prove ownership with having no paperwork from the dealership. I called the sales manager John and he was quite hostile, now saying registration was my responsibility. I've purchased 6 vehicles through Grieco and never once was I told to do it myself. I also signed paperwork to cancel my warranty 2 weeks ago as they were not transparent with the diagnostic fees and deductibles and this was never submitted to the warranty company. I went in person to get the documentation I had signed listing the mileage that day and they didn't give it to me, only printing todays mileage which had obviously increased, reducing my refund. Spare Me! 'Took my 2017 Accord Hybrid in for a state inspection. A variety of services and replacement items were recommended. Among them tires, which I needed and an oil change which I did not need. I'd had the oil changed 3 months prior. The display on the car's monitor indicted, "80% oil life". So I went with the tires only. Top grade Michilens. I sat there for hours, but I left with an inspection stick and new tires. 5 weeks later I got a nail in one of the new tires and it went flat. I was going to take the tire off, but the hub lock key was missing. Where it went is a "mystery". I used the temporary tire repair kit and drove the car in. I was told that: 1. The tire would be replaced 2. The empty sealant canister would be replaced 3. The hub key would be replaced. After a few hours I was told that the tire I needed was not in stock. (Why so long to find that out?) I was given a loaner, (that was good anyway), to use overnight and that the car would be ready around midday. After a couple of phone calls, the car was ready at around 5 PM. Results?: 1. Tire plugged 2. Empty sealant canister not replaced 3. Hub key not replaced. Today, I went to Grieco Honda to inquire about purchasing a 2019 HRV EX. The service that I received was unprofessional,rude, and ignorant. Not once did the salesman and sales manager provide the information that I requested. I arrived at the dealership, test drove the car, and asked them to contact via telephone with pricing and loan information. I needed to return home for a short time. I specifically asked for a breakdown of information (car price, rebate, loan interest rate, and terms). The necessary personal information was provided. They did not call, and I had to call back to follow up after 1.75 hours. I never even got information about my salesman. I returned to the dealership with my car to be valued for trade. After waiting 1.5 hours, they returned price of 19,600 and 72 month payment of 479. I was not given a breakdown of the price and I questioned the loan payment and interest rate. The salesman told me that they never pulled my credit. At this point, I asked for the keys to my car and stated that I was not interested. I was extremely dissatisfied with the service, and the staff do not value their customers. I feel that the sales tactics were deceptive,'and they did not do their job. I will never return to the dealers. The day after I posted this review, I still felt that I needed to do something. I called Hamlet, a sales manager, to discuss my concerns. He took the time to listen, and he requested an opportunity to right the situation. He asked questions about what my needs are in purchasing a car. I really felt like Hamlet listened to my needs/concerns, and he worked hard to create a purchasing opportunity that met all of my needs. After deciding to purchase the car, everything went very well. Signing the documentation and picking up the car was a pleasant experience. I could not have asked for better service from Hamlet and his team. Thank you! Came in for a couple of oil changes and a recall. Usually an oil change includes a car wash. However, the machine has been broken for months. They promised my car in an hour. So, I decided to stay and wait. It ended up taking over 2.5 hours for no apparent reason. No one checked in on me or let me know what was going on. When I went to inquire about my car they were less than responsive. Additionally, they took it upon themselves to affix a Grieco Honda sticker on my dirty car and put their license plate holders on without my permission. They said the owner mandates that all cars with no stickers and license plate holders leave with the Grieco ones. If they don't do it they can get fired. I told them that's ridiculous and that they defaced my new car!!! I don't want my car to be a Grieco billboard!! I didn't even buy the car there. They offered me a $25 gift card to keep them and I declined. . I wanted to love this place, but I will definitely not return. read more

They will make any deal happen but 0 effort when it comes to fix something. There's no customer retention program in place and you won't get a call back until your lease is almost up or it's time to finance a new one. I was a loyal customer for a long time I recommend you stay away from the Grieco Group period. I really wanted to give this place a better review since everyone was super helpful the whole time I was buying a car. But like most car places, they eventually screw you over for something. I bought a 2016 jetta from Melvin about a month and a half ago. when I first was driving it, I noticed it had a shake in the wheel and asked to get that check out so that I knew if it was a bigger deal. Melvin said he would. The day before I picked up the car I also checked and asked if he would get the car checked out, he said he would and reassured me he would handle it. the day I picked up the car it still wasn't fixed or no mention of what the issue was other then maybe an issue with the tires. Now some of this could of been prevented if I had been a little more firm with them but I also needed to get a car after having an accident weeks prior. Now here's why I'm upset with all of this. I asked melvin if I could bring the car in to get looked at, he said yes and was nice enough to set up the appointment. I get the car looked at, the service guy says the tires need to be changed. Melvin talked to the service guy to approve putting new tires on it. I get the tires ordered and come back today to then be told by the service guy that they aren't going to cover the tires since it's a noise issue and not a safety issue. No one called me to tell this and I live an hour away. Steve(service guy) said that I could talk to Melvin or the manager about it and I chose not since i'm limited time. I'll take responsibility for the places where I screwed up and didn't follow through on my end but don't waste my time and make promises you won't follow through on. read more
