My dad has been wanting to come here here because he's such a fan of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, our servers Jose and Lorena were so nice and so helpful since it was our first time there. We felt terrible because we came in on a Sunday night at 7 when they close at 8 but they were so welcoming and helpful. We were so delighted with how god the burgers were, I had the OOH LA LA, my mom had the fish tacos and my dad had the bb provolone burger. All amazing but I think I won with the taste contest. We had the half order of garlic fries and onion rings with ranch that you can taste were all house made, they were delicious. We visited this restaurant today and we had a good experience. The service was attentive and nice. The overall ambience is great for the place. We had several burgers, one of them was Pancho Villa and it was delicious. The staff made a custom burger of the patties which was ginormous. Overall a great experience and will come back again. We have been for burgers, hot dogs, chili and onion rings and not one thing has been the "wrong" order. They have normal crazily named burgers like The Babaloo, and you have to be ready to make a bit of a mess, but it's worth it. I also noticed small burgers on the menu. I'm guessing they are easier to handle. This time around the husband was just in the mood for a bowl of chili. It's not listed as an item on the menu, but they made it happen. I ordered the chili cheese fries and onion rings..the server advised me to order a half order (which I did) and that was plenty for two of us and served I'm a nifty round container. There's plenty of seating and service is great. If you want something sweet and juicy, the Honolulu Lulu is a nice choice. The teriyaki sauce, pineapple, and mozzarella cheese are a perfect combination that'll satisfy your taste buds. The Code Blue Orgasmic Burger is my favorite burger from their menu. The meat patty is super flavorful and tender. The bun is soft, delicious, and complements the burger. I thought the blue cheese would be overwhelming, but it pairs perfectly with the rest of the burger. The Avocado BLT Burger had good flavor from the bacon, avocado, and meat patty, but the sourdough bun was too tough and chewy. It was more difficult to eat than expected. If they had used the same buns from Code Blue, I would've enjoyed the Avocado BLT Burger much more. For the sides, the server recommended the 50/50 which includes half fries and half onion rings. However, our cheese and bacon cravings re-directed us to go for Bacon my Heart Cheese Fries. The cheese tasted good, but unfortunately it was harden by the time it got to our table. The cheese wasn't as hot, smooth, and stringy as we were hoping for. The fries were also not as crispy as desired. For dessert we were recommended the peanut butter banana shake, which was incredible! It was super creamy, thick, and the right amount of sweetness. One of those places where you think, "Damn, where have you been all my life?" Wifey and I on a recent Palm Desert getaway (getaway from the kids). One day, Wifey is craving a hamburger, which happens once every 10 years or so. We try Grill a Burger. I order the Ricky Babaloo #17 and Wifey goes for the #2 cheeseburger. WTF. First off, the burgers here are girthy. It takes a minute to strategize just how you are going to attack it. Should I go right in? Try to flank it? Make noise so it thinks there are more of me than there really is? I ended up just going straight in. It's not a burger you want to put down. You must maintain a control hold on it. Excellent burger. Meat is tasty, the toppings were great. The bun was a revelation. Soft, but sturdy enough to hold up to the contents. The prices here are a little higher, but you get what you pay for. However the hamburgers I felt, were on the bland side and the buns were cold and dry. We also order the 50/50 which was very generous (says it is for 3 to 4 people) but wish they had a smaller size since there were only two of us . It was an honest mistake and they made it right. It was a decent burger, cooked the way I requested and the flavor was there. The onion ring me were tasty and the fries were normal French Fries. The reason it lost a star was not because of the mix up in the beginning. It lost a start because it was on the $$$ side for just an average experience. Went here with my family because we were craving some burgers. I love that they have an expansive selection of burgers to satiate all kinds of customers. My dad is a big mushroom fan so he got the burger with mushrooms. I think mom got the lady Gaga burger or something like that. She asked if it was possible to get it with the regular burger bun than what's originally posted on the menu and they were very accommodating. As for me, I got the naughty and nice. I can skip the bun and eat a salad...but I can't separate myself from fries. My dad doesn't eat as much as he used to as he got older. But when we ate here, he ate everything!
