Finally, the long lines are not as bad anymore, and I finally got to try Grill City today! The place was still packed with customers, and there were plenty of workers too. The food display had a lot of choices, but I stuck with the basics and wanted to make sure this place was good before going wild and trying every protein they were serving. My friend and I ordered two solo meals and a couple of fried rolls, which turned out to just be vegetables stuffed inside. My friend ordered the 8.99 solo meal with chicken skewer and pancit, while I had the 9.99 longanisa silog. Unfortunately, everything we had was just okay and very very very dry. Portions were disappointing, with the ratio leaning more heavily toward carbs that was dry, old, and cold rice and pancit. It's rare for me, but I didn't even finish them because of how they turned out. The longanisa was too lean for my liking, and the chicken skewer was so skinny and small that my friend forgot he ate it. The only redeeming qualities of the visit were the friendly workers, the convenient market/bakery inside, and the bathrooms in the back of the market. I would probably only come back to grill city and try them again if the portions improve and the quality control gets better. But for now, I will stay loyal to my favorite spots not too far away for Filipino food.

Long, slow line. Small portions. Overpriced. And to top it off, they tried to overcharge me. The price showed items charge on the screen, and I rebuttled what she was charging me twice. But the cashier kept insisting. She finally called the manager over who resolved the overpricing issue (but that took long too). They tried to just deflect why it was wrong hit never took accountability. Definitely won't be back here, complete lack of customer service. Lastly, the food wasn't good.

I went to Noodle street, this us all part of grill city inside the Seafood City grocery store. The seating area is a bit crowded. Service was extremely friendly, unfortunately the food left much to be desired. I ordered bulalo but what I received was 90% inedible. It was incredibly inconvenient to even get to the actual edible part as the bone was incredibly hot. Asher removing it i realized the didn't give me any corn, but by then I didn't want to really deal with it anymore. The broth was tasty, as were the noodles and beef but I shouldn't have to roleplay a paleontologist to get to my meal.

Only came for their halo halo. I thought it was too sweet and they had boba in it. I would probably not order that from here again. Food looked pretty good. Prices didn't seem too high. Would like to come back to try their actual food dishes. Service seemed pretty average. Saw a gentleman looking at all of the drinks in the cold fridge by register trying to figure out what was what and told the cashier they should label them. She kind of dismissed him because it's probably not her job or her place to say. I do agree that their ready made items should be labeled to avoid confusion. Seemed like a lot of seats. You come out of this place smelling like fried food so beware.

We got a table of eight one hour before closing time. Our server told us last order was at 6:45 since the cook had to leave early for another gig. They used to close later at night years ago. We had our usual chick-boy combo sisig, grilled liempo, tapa and garlic rice. Our friends embellished our spread with ginataang sitaw at calabasa (beans & squash in coconut milk), bam-i pancit, chicharon bulaklak (ruffle fat) and lechon kawali. Vinegar based sawsawan and Mang Tomas made this feast even better. We all had water because we were binge eating that weekend. Another large party satisfied at Chibogs. Can't wait for our next get-together here.

I got their Lechon Kawaii, pork adobo and garlic rice. All silog's comes with garlic rice or white rice and an over easy egg. You can add tomato for $2 extra (two sides combo upgrade is $3 more) I loved their Lechon sooooo tender and crispy paired well with the side of white vinegar or the brown sauce! We shared their sizzling sisig which was great per my cousin but I think it was a little dried without the egg? We got the combo of pork and chicken. Shared a Poncit Bihon, I always said more lemon the better but it was ok? I will try other other noodles dishes next time.

Food was fine, our party wasn't familiar with the cuisine so we ordered a set to try. Big portions, though some things were a salty and oily for me. Staff were also very friendly! While the big shared feasts are fun, I was kinda curious about the specialty dishes (e.g. sisig) that were more of an à la carte experience. Silut Bilao #4: There were only 4 of us, so we didn't get the big dish with "Fight" in the name. There was so much here that no one had to fight for their food. I really like the Misua Soup we start with, had a nice chicken flavor and silky noodles. The main platter had so many fun and delicious items. The Crispy Pata was probably my favorite, so crispy and delicious, especially with the various dips. The Longganisa was another highlight with a cross-sectional cut that enabled a lot of surface area to be nicely charred. The Chicharon was another highlight since it both crispy crunchy skin and some softer meat + fat. The Grilled Liempo had the strongest charred grill taste. Everything else was nice too, just too many to enumerate. For dessert the mixed halo halo with ube ice cream was the best. So many great flavors and textures together at once.

Probably the least oily dish. The sizzling sisig was pretty oily, like WAY oilier than other places I've had it. The wonton soup was not great, very bland and boring. The lechon was BAD, as in the worst I've ever had. It was moist and the skin has a small crunch to it, but to the nose it was VERY odiferous and the taste...SUPER gamey. Tried to add lemon and whatever else I could but it was not good. Sorry. Most places I've gone it's just extra crispy pork belly, but this was...idk... Not many great things I can say about this place. We did have drinks...sago't gulaman. I mainly got it because of what was in it, but also because it said it was "refreshing." I don't know...maybe my idea and their idea of refreshing are different. It was good, but SOOOOO sweet and sugary. Yes, I know it says brown sugar in ingredients, but I didn't think it would be made mainly of it. That is definitely not my type of refreshing. Servers were very nice and friendly. And the food came out relatively fast. I guess the questions is would I ever go back? Probably not. Maybe for starbread, but for Filipino food? There are SO many other better places out there. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but...yeah sorry...no thanks
