    Cheeseburger and fries
    Melody M.

Quite stellar customer service. The space was clean and inviting. Food came up really quickly for takeout and was presented very nicely. Burger top notch quality. Perfect presentation. All of my requested toppings were there. Fries really tasty. I had no idea spot was here but coworker steered me to the restaurant. Said it was hotspot pre Covid. Def on the list now for in office days

Spinach Pie platter, with house rice and green String Beans

The food identifies as diner food even if they are trying to be a cafe/grille. And it's pretty good diner food; American, Greek, Italian and Peruvian are all on the menu. My personal fav is the spinach pie platter. I think if they leaned into the diner persona, people wouldn't be as confused by 1224's identity crisis. But a good amount of regulars are coming in and out whenever I'm here, so they've figured it out. It's good, it's quick and it's served with a smile. Platters are a great deal, lots of food! But I agree that the individual items are kinda pricy.

Charm City "Panini" very bad and on stale white bread
    Diane S.

Very bad. We ordered here for our Saturday night menu. The Charles St. Baguette turkey sandwich was on small, stale sliced white bread, not a baguette, with very little ingredients. It was offensive that they would try to send that instead. How someone can mess up a turkey sandwich is beyond me. The Peruvian Chicken Wrap had no sauce (it was supposed to be hot spicy), but the chicken and rice in it were good. The Charm City Panini was very embarrassing, also on stale white sliced bread with 2 small pieces of unseasoned chicken. All these sandwiches were over $11, and I was not recompensated.

My salad was horrible and when I asked for shrimp salad I didn't know it was gonna be a garden salad with a scoop of shrimp salad on top. I thought it was just shrimp. I paid for extra chicken and that was a waste. $19 for a salad that was worth maybe $10

6'13'19 Poor Customer Service at it's Finest !! Point the finger and ruin relationships w customers aye ??

Poorer customer service than before. Despite me leaving an above average review over a year ago on Yelp for this business highlighting the positives, management reached out on Google review to critique MY EXPERIENCE from today w many words not including an apology. Kudos to the young lady that initially assisted me and empathized w me when things weren't up to par. She apologized. The issue... Menu was extremely limited due to issues that were beyond the business's control. If a business wants to remain open throughout a minor crisis, they cannot impose on customers... PERIOD. Customer service should be a larger accommodation due to inconvenience. My initial order was Shrimp on a bed a lettuce. I was given a Shrimp Salad Sandwich on lettuce minus bread. I didn't know this weird meal existed. I refused and switched to old mediocre faithful. 1/4 dark meal. There was a $3 price differential that they were unable to offer back in cash or credit. I was offered a cookie or watermelon (not ripe). No & Nope. I requested a side Salad. I always get a side garden/ Caesar salad w meals (see previous visit pics). I had to go toe to toe to get a side salad that I was eventually given but wasn't made fresh and was taken from under the shrimp salad I refused previously. There was so much mayo within lettuce that it flung on my cardigan while I tossed it. NOT COOL! Mayonnaise drenched throughout my lettuce forcing me to trash it. I will not die if I have dairy but large amounts make me ill. I was gonna let it fly but apparently management couldn't. I look forward to no longer wasting time, gas, meter money and brain cells on a restaurant that doesn't practice good customer service.

I went the other night to get take out. My experience was really good. The place is clean. The menu is clear and concise. To tell the truth I'm actually happy that there is a new person at the counter. About a year or two ago there was a girl at the counter taking your order and she was completely rude, sarcastic, and unpleasant. I left feeling like it is about time I take a break from this place. So anyway the new girl at the desk is really nice and pleasant. I will definitely be back and recommend this spot to others. Note: Their Peruvian Chicken isn't completely authentic so don't be disappointed if it's not like what you are looking for. Instead try their burgers, sandwiches, etc

    Twelve24 sandwich and house rice

I'm not sure what all the hype is about this place because I didn't think it was that great. I'll admit the delivery was fast and the food was fresh, but probably wouldn't be my go to lunch spot. The house rice was okay (not the best in the world) and had some really mushy green beans in it. The other sides are alright. The macaroni salad seems to be just regular deli salad you could get at the grocery store. I also got the rotisserie chicken sandwich based off another photo on Yelp, and when it arrived I thought they had gotten my order wrong. It was on toasted white bread (not a roll), and looked like chicken salad. I did ask to add mayo, but it seemed like they mixed the chicken and mayo together to make it more of a salad. Should have gotten mayo on the side. They also forgot one of our side salads (Grubhub was able to issue a refund for that). But unfortunately that left one of our coworkers with only half a lunch. The flavor was okay. The half chicken was large but a little dry on the inside. After you get past the first layer, it doesn't have much flavor. After spending a month in Peru, I was excited to try it, but can say that this seems to be Americanized.

Definitely a bad idea to live right across the street from this place. The burgers never fail me. The breakfast slaps as well. The wraps are satisfying too. Fries are always good. When I get them, I get a small because they use like half a potato or more for the serving. If you want a medium burger, say "medium rare".

I loved the selection of pastries they offered--the pandan pastry was definitely my favorite. My husband ordered the drip coffee over ice, and I got the Vietnamese iced coffee. Both coffees were excellent. The Vietnamese coffee was a bit too sweet for my taste, and it was served in a very small glass. I think it would have been even better with a little more coffee to balance the sweetness. For lunch, we ordered the kimbap and the egg bowl, and both dishes were outstanding. The only downside was that it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive. However, the cafe was extremely busy and clearly backed up, so we didn't mind the wait too much--especially since the food was so delicious. The indoor space is quite small, but they do offer outdoor seating. I can't wait to come back and try more of their Asian-inspired pastries and dishes. What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood!

The play on sweet and savory is just so comforting. I also had the apple cinnamon butter muffin and the muffin top was insanely delicious. The crumble on top of the apple butter was gluttony. I beleive they rotate their muffins regularly which I appreciate. I've had their raspberry matcha in the summer which I remember tasted so fresh on a hot day. And I recently had their 5 spice latte which was a great balance of spice and sweet. Overall, I honestly would consider moving to the area just to live next to this cafe not being dramatic at all.

I know that sounds dramatic but it's true! I was shocked! The fries were a nice accompaniment that matched the chicken in quality + I love the addition of a pickle. I ordered the house BRD sauce and honey mustard and both were perfect in my eyes! I also got fries, a side of BRD sauce, ranch sauce, and a slice of seasoned bread. Everything was tasty, fresh, and well seasoned. For $15 it was a solid amount of food and the tenders are HUGE. [Disclaimer: this is a comprehensive review so buckle in and let's go!]…read more I used to frequent Hopkins Market (HM) when it was a tiny cafe that had good food. Always friendly staff. Good space. I was sad to see that they left. The replacement, however, has truly impressed me. The new & improved current location has nearly 'quadrupled' in size with its redesign/ buildout. The location is well lit and has morphed from a small neighborhood cafe into a full service vendor. Aside from a menu offering an impressive myriad of options, HM is also a massive grocer/ wine & cafe. They offer wine tastings and a very clean space. I believe they openEd in 2025. On to the stats: STAFF: Everyone is friendly & helpful. SUNDRIES: An expansive selection of liquor, beer & wine; snacks; candy; soda; coffee; household goods; grocer goods; Knick knacks. LIQUOR PURCHASES: A GREAT perk is liquor can be purchased until close (11 or 12). CAFE FEEDBACK [This is an amalgamation of dishes based on numerous visits. Didn't want to come across like a serious 'BIG BACK' LOL - On To The Vittles: 1. Chicken salad sub (recommended). Freshly made. Simple recipe [Mayo, S&P, celery, a few spices] (which I really enjoy, when done well) and sizable portions. SCORE! 2. French fries (recommended). Toasty/ crispy of the outside, fluffy inside w/ very good flavor. SCORE! 3. Yellow cake w/ choc icing. A tasty sheet cake / good grocery store offering. Moist cake, thick flavorful icing. DELISH! SCORE! 4. Dolmas - Stuffed Grape Leaves. I absolutely love these. Unsure if they're made in house or brought in but they're tasty. Not always in stock but when they are - SCORE! 5. Guava nectar - Absolutely delicious! Give me more. 6. Pear Nectar - Absolutely delicious! Give me more. 7. Pastrami sandwich - DEEEELISHIOUS. Tastes like it came straight from a NY deli counter. I added Swiss & deli mustard (heated). Perfect recipe. Don't overdo it. TRIPLE WORD SCORE!! 8. Western Fries - Crunchy exterior and fluffy interior. Seasoned well. SCORE!! 9. Onion Rings - I wished they were beer battered instead of being super crunchy. They also lacked ANY flavor. Breading wasn't seasoned at all. A little salt in the batter or at the end would've made a world of difference. CRIME! 10. Marble Chocolate Cake: Delicious chocolate frosting. Cake was drier than I like. I enjoy a moist cake. That wasn't one. I do think, however, that the deserts are shipped in - so I can't hold it against them (TIP: Change your baker) 11. Egg & Cheese Sandwich: on toasted Rye w/ mayo, mustard, S&P. THIS is my 'GO TO'. When I don't want meat but I'm hungry, this always satiates me. I'm a big fan of this addition to the area.
