Grimaldi's is one of the worst and overpriced pizzas I've had ($21.00 for a 16 inch). I've been to this restaurant before and we've always had negative experiences, but it was some time ago. We live so close to this restaurant that we wanted to give it another shot. I ordered a takeout 16 inch cheese pizza with the sauce on the side and asked specifically not to burn it. I waited while the pizza was made and when I was given the same, it was burnt almost to a crisp (sorry no photos of this one) . The pie was as thin as paper with holes in it. The top was burnt and full of bubbles. The bottom was full of ash dust. Completely inedible. Needless to say that we have been to various Grimaldi's over the years and I have to say, this one stands out and not in a positive way. The saga continues as I brought to the attendants attention the negative situation, he stated that when the pizza haas no sauce on it the bubbles are the consequence (NOT TRUE). He offered to make another pie so I accepted. He also offered to let me keep the first pie, and I also accepted (I wanted my wife to see the pizza they made). The second pizza was worst than the first. It had cheese, yes but it was completely wet underneath with oil. The attendant stated that if I wanted a pie that had cheese on it, we should order this "White with Garlic Pizza". Although it was not the pizza I ordered or wanted I took it home. Unfortunately I did not turn it over at the restaurant (my bad), but when I got home, we were NOT pleasantly surprised. Judge yourselves by the photos I include. I gave this Grimaldi's another chance and they totally blew it. Never again. read more

I truly want to like Grimaldi's because it's close to home but each time I go there we have issues. Last time the AC wasn't working and it seemed to me that this visit it probably wasn't working again even though no one said anything. This visit we went on a friday night and it wasn't crowded at 5:50 pm. We were not in any kind of hurry. We were seated right away and our waitress came to take our drink order. We received our drinks within 10 minutes (2 adult and kid) and placed our order for salad and pizza. My son noticed it was 6:02 when we ordered. The salad came pretty quickly and we saw our waitress once as she came by to ask how the salad was tasting. During our entire visit the temperature was muggy and warm and there were flies and gnats flying aroung and we had to keep swatting them away. I noticed the area by the bar was open and it was not a comfortable night temperature wise to have the open air in the restaurant. At around 6:52 our pizza was finally delivered to the table (we were seriously thinking they lost our order because of the lag in time and the tables around us had been served and left more than 20-25 minutes before ours came out). We still didn't see our waitress so the guy who brought us the pizza asked if we needed anything else and we said our son needed more water and we would like red pepper flakes. I am certain this was not his job to do but he went and got us a carafe of water and the flakes. We thanked him for doing this. The waitress finally came back and got my husband another beer. The pizza was great, heavy on the meats we ordered. my husband didn't like how soggy the crust was, he likes it crispy. I failed to take pics this night because I left my phone at home and was preoccupied by how uncomfortable I was due to no AC and the bugs flying around. My son took a pic of his hand though after eating and sent it to me. My husband and I don't care to go back after our experience tonight. The service was not good, it was humid and warm, and the insects were a huge problem. I have no idea who the manager was but I mentioned that to my husband as well. We dine out often and I said "you know the manager hasn't come around asking anyone how they are doing or how the experience is". It's just surprising because the managers at the restaurants we dine in our same community always come and introduce themselves and quickly chat with their patrons. I guess it's possible how the night went that maybe there wasn't a manager that night. read more

First time at this place. We are looking for a new favorite pizza place. This one is NOT it. Save your money AND time. We ordered a create your own veggies only pizza. It took 55 minutes to get it to the table and it, strangely, wasn't very hot. I say strangely because I have never ordered pizza anywhere and have it brought to our table just warm. There were enough of the veggies that we asked for. What there wasn't much of was taste...and cheese. When I picked up each of the two slices that I ate, the veggies slid right off the slice. Absolutely NO cheese on the slices. The little bit of sauce that WAS on it was not flavorful. Same story with the little bit of cheese on some of the other slices. I mentioned it to our server. She said that usually when the pizza has either red peppers or mushrooms, the cheese slides around. So I said, still the cheese, if it slid around, should be SOMEWHERE on the pizza. It wasn't. Then she suggested that next time (which there won't be a next time believe me), we should ask for extra cheese. Ummm. No. Why should I have to ask for extra cheese? I just want the cheese that SHOULD come on the pizza. The crust also didn't have any flavor. It was like eating a burnt cracker pizza. I've had thin crust before. I'm ok with thin crust. I'm not ok with thin, burnt cracker crust. Like I said, save your money. $43 for one 16 inch with three toppings, flavorless sauce, dry burnt cracker crust and flavorless almost non existent cheese and a margarita. Ambiance: LOUD. Bottom line, expect to wait a long time in a very loud room for a sad pizza. The search for a better pizza place continues. This one isn't it. read more

I come here often because the quality of the pizza and service is exceptional! Their menu is just pizza, salad, and dessert. I love that because it makes it easier to order. This particular visit we ordered half prosciutto and half hot honey pepperoni pizza and shared a Cesar salad. Everything we ordered was delicious and our server, Justin took amazing care of us! January 26, 2026 --- Total disappointment for a $36 pizza. We ordered an 18" Traditional with extra mozzarella, mushrooms, pepperoni, and a 1/2 & 1/2 split of green olives and anchovies. We requested "crispy," but what we got was burnt on both the top AND bottom. The quality was severely lacking: Toppings: The "extra" mozzarella was non-existent. Toppings were skimpy and overlapped in the middle, which is a problem when one person hates olives and the other hates anchovies.Freshness: The anchovies tasted old and off--not the quality you expect at this price point.The Build: The crust was paper-thin and chewy, with almost no sauce. Even the shape was off; it was barely a circle, with a few undersized slices. Service: When I asked for a receipt at the takeout counter, the employee walked away to the opposite corner of the restaurant without a word. Apparently, the takeout area had no printer, the one nearby on the other side of the main doors was broken, and communication was even more broken. Ambiance: The restaurant was surprisingly fairly full, in spite of the quality of the pizza we received. I felt sorry for the people paying way too much for terrible pizza, but hey, it's not MY money. Not anymore, not here.I'd give this location zero stars if I could. Avoid this Stone Oak spot. I wish Papa John's still had decent pizza, but that changed several years ago. For now, we'll go back to Pizza Hut, which requires some extra travel, since the closest one closed recently. Bar none, hands down, worst Grimaldi'sexperience I've ever had. The pizza came out with literally almost no mozzarella. I don't know how the waitress really brought that to me. So I mentioned it to her, I can't eat this it's just tomato sauce and bread. They redid my order and it came out where crust was dark brown almost burnt. You could see I was not happy. The pizza is the most inconsistent of any Grimaldi's in 3 states. It has been 50/50 if the order will be right, on-time, or cooked properly. We sometimes drive an extra 15-20 minutes to the Quarry when we want Grimaldi's because we know it will be done correctly the first time. read more

Quick review! Forgot to take pictures. Just know the pictures in their website do not do their pizzas any justice. I did not know this was a chain but do they ever make the best pizza. I come from Connecticut (The Pizza State) so I KNOW good pizza. Generally, pizza in the south is not great. They do not cook it long enough for the cheese to lightly turn brown. Grimaldi's pizza is some of the best I have ever had. Good hot or cold! That is the true test!! Their meatballs were really good. The crust was thin but not the kind that seems like a cracker. Their salads are really, really good. The small really wasn't enough for 2 people. The arugula salad with lemon dressing was so good. The house salad was great too which included green olives, tomatoes, roasted red peppers and dressing was good. We had excellent service. How do I begin? The restaurant itself had such a vibe, such unique but familiar ambience. Made me think of a setting in a movie where watching the characters eat the pizza made you say, "that looks good". Only to give you a desire to get pizza now! They were quick to seat us in the near empty restaurant, but it took quite some time to be greeted. Drinks took a while and I never got my beer so I cancelled it. The pizza took a long time, but this could be due to freshness so I guess I'll give a pass. They do not seem to give the tables or floors much of a clean. When I first moved here, I went there. The pizza was overpriced for the quality and the service wasn't that great. I never went back. I went today to pick up two pizzas. I waited an hour and a half for two pizzas. The way they cook them was one got done and then I had to wait for the other. While I watched my one pizza sit in the hot box I wondered why they didn't make them both together. They had no air-conditioning so they had fans going. Then, when I realized it was gonna be a while, I decided to order a drink. A simple drink was $15 for a Tito's and a splash of Diet Coke. Not only New York City prices, which is where I'm from, but they didn't even bother when I said something to comp the drink for the hour and a half. I had to wait. We order a small Ceasar salad and was plenty for us and then we order a 16" of margherita of half extra sauce and light on the other side with spinach which it was delicious. We have been going to this location of Grimaldi's since it opened. I like the location, and the limited seating outside can be great when the weather is nice. Like every location, where they make the pizza to order, it takes a little time for your food, but I do not mind it if I am getting good service and the food is worth it. For us, when the restaurant is partially full, service and food are excellent - so we time our visits. They are a chain restaurant, and with that comes a little lower expectation. They meet the expectation and I can't find anything to cite where they are exceeding it. Very good pizza, good service, good selections, and a good place to go. read more

I ordered s small spinach salad without Gorgonzola cheese. I am disappointed that they don't offer the old recipe that included bacon. The new recipe features Gorgonzola, apples, onions and walnuts. The reason offered is that they have a lot of Door Dash! Really, Door Dash? The customers that took the time to go to your establishment should get the priority and the wait time on door dash should be reflective of a 2 hour wait. I think they have it completely backwards. Until they figure this out I would avoid coming here if you want to be served in a reasonable amount of time. I feel bad for the servers who have to hear the numerous complaints from customers that ended up leaving or having their orders boxed to go after waiting. What the what!!! Where have I been? I just happen to stumble upon this place while Christmas shopping. My husband wanted pizza, so we stopped at this cute little, very happening place in Stone Oak. Okay folks, this is authentic historic New York style pizza. This place started in Brooklyn NY over 100 years ago! It's legit! We ordered the Don and the Brooklyn Bridge with a side salad. Rosemary Gimlet and hubby went with the boring Miller light on draft. So many drink options I have no idea what he was thinking but everything we ordered was A+. The crust on the pizza is oven fired and absolutely perfect. Toppings all fresh and delicious. This is it folks, the only pizza I will ever crave! Do not order a to go pizza of Saturday night. I ordered at 7:14 pm. The app said it would be over an hour for delivery. After an over hour (when my pizza was due) I called to find out what was taking so long and why the app showed no action on my order- no person was even assigned for delivery. Grub Hub had said 8:38 to 8:53 at 7:14 pm (see photo). After an hour I noticed there was no activity and so I called-- I was told by Jaylyn (one of the managers) it was a 2/12 hour wait for a to go pizza. Meanwhile the app said it was coming in less than 10 minutes. The first time I asked to speak to a manager they left me on hold for 10 min (see photo) before I hung up and called back. Speaking to the manager, he told me all to go orders were behind ALL the people who came in and sat down to eat. I.e. they do not put you in the que when you order, they wait until everybody who came in is served. Then you'll get your pizza. 2 1/2 hours after ordering it. Their pizza is decent, but it is NOT worth the 2 1/2 hour wait. And the app only said 1 1/2 hours the whole time. read more
