I saw the 5 star reviews so I stopped to pick up lunch at Grinders today - a personal pepperoni pizza with a side salad cost me $19.50. Gone are the days, it seems, of the lunch specials where you could enjoy a pizza slice and salad at a reasonable price. Not sure if I missed the lunch crowd but there wasn't anyone else there when I arrived to pickup my order. So, my favorite pizzas are a combination of Round Table, the old school Numero Uno with the cornmeal on the bottom of the crust, and really good mom and pop spots that load on the pepperoni and have a tasty crunchy crust. Not really into the deep dish pizzas. Maybe that's why I wasn't really impressed with the pizza I received. I see it being possibly a strangely sweet pizza sauce with salty greasy cheese and pepperoni go to on a Friday night with a salad if nothing else was open. Would I travel at break neck speed to devour a Grinder's pizza. I don't think so. It was extremely oily/greasy. The topping would not stay on the crust. The flavors aren't memorable. It's just a standard pizza. Customer service was nice. The pizza was ready when I arrived. The star of the show IMO was the side salad. The lettuce used was fresh, clean, not boring iceberg lettuce, included tomatoes, onions, olives, and bell pepper. The ranch dressing could be better, it tasted like out of a bottle and not homemade but overall it was ok. If I'm in the area I would definitely get a salad again. Not sure I would return for the pizza. I rate the experience somewhere between a 3 and 3.5. read more

WOW. I can't remember the last time I had pizza as amazing as what I had at this place. My brother comes to this place pretty often, and as we were figuring out what to eat for the night, he mentioned this great pizza spot he goes to. I didn't think much of it, as I eat plenty of pizza. So we made the call and went to pick up ourorder (two 16" pizzas). We were greeted by the owner of the store with a big smile, and spent a few minutes talking, so you know the food and business is something that is taken pride in. The owner Ahmad was an overall pleasure to meet and speak to. As I picked up the pizza, with steam bursting out of the box, and took a look inside, that's when I knew this wasn't going to be some ordinary pizza. I'm telling you, this cheese was stretching, which speaks a lot to the quality here. Definitely no low moisture pre-shredded mozzarella here. Perfect amount of oil, which is what you want in good cheese. When we woke up the next morning, having passed out from an overload of pizza, we threw the four slices we had left in the oven, and noticed the different types & colors of cheeses on the pizza, evenly distributed and all, and it spoke a lot to their attention to detail. I'm still thinking about this pizza, a week after having it. I eat a lot of pizza, but this one was top of my list, hands down. It's a guaranteed eat anytime I come to Vegas from now on. read more

We came here on a road trip from Cali to Utah and decided to crave a new spot. The inside was spotless! The staff was very welcoming when we arrived and told us to have a seat and he will come take our order. We got the special "Meal 4 Two" which came a large 1 topping and either wings or chicken fingers and two cans of soda. This was one of the most flavorful pizzas we have had in a while hands down! The sauce has so much flavor and just pairs well with the pepperoni. The chicken fingers came with fries which we didn't know but those were cooked perfectly as well! Easily one of the best pizza nights we've had in a long time! We ordered a thin-crust meat pizza, asked for it well-done, and it came out perfect: super crispy edges, exactly how I love it. The sauce is legitimately rich and flavorful - you can tell it's made with good tomatoes and seasoned right. Loaded with toppings that were generous but didn't weigh the thin crust down. The chicken fingers were a pleasant surprise, big, tender, juicy pieces with a nice crisp coating. Kids (and adults) demolished them. Finished with the zeppoli, warm, fluffy, dusted with powdered sugar and chocolate served with that little cup of dipping sauce. Service was outstanding. We brought the whole soccer team in for an end-of-season party (18 people showing up hungry and loud), and the staff handled it like champs. They pushed tables together, kept the food coming fast, checked on us constantly, and everyone was genuinely friendly. Zero attitude, even when the place was packed. Grinder's just earned a permanent spot on our rotation. We'll be back soon. Highly recommend. read more

We are in town for a conference staying at a VRBO. We looked for a high rated pizza and chose Grinders. The delivery was faster than expected. The prices are reasonable. (They have coupon/specials.) And the staff is friendly, like meeting family you never knew you had. The pizza was great! I had never had beef pepperoni or beef sausage before, but thought both were delicious! One thing of note was that the sauce is a little more sweeter than I am used to from the chain pizza stores. Not a bad thing, just a noticeable flavor profile difference. I will mention that with all of the above, it was pretty easy to overlook the fact that they put light sauce on the wrong pizza. I would forgive my uncle for the mishap. Welp...this was disappointing. Bae and I were in the mood for pizza and decided to try something new. This usually works out for us...but not this time! We ordered a half cheese/half Hawaiian pizza, 6 wings, an extra ranch, and a Pepsi zero. We did not get that. And what we did get, was not good. Bae ordered carry out using their app, so obviously went to go pick it up. He walked in, there was no greeting, but that's ok because the guy was in the back. The guy turned around and said, "Pick up?" Bae said , "yeah." Then the guy turned back around and that was it. Bae stood there for a minute, then started to assume the box on the counter was ours since there was no real direction on what was going on. He opened the box and said it was chicken nuggets. Not fingers. Not tenders. But something you would buy frozen from a not so great store. Well, luckily that wasn't ours, so there's that. Bae closed the box, the guy only then was like, "oh no, that's not yours..." and finally went around the corner and grabbed our order from a shelf that apparently was no where that could be comfortably assumed for someone to grab. Bae asks if the extra ranch is in there, the guy confirms, and bae leaves. Ok. So then he gets it home, right? Im STARVING! And I immediately open the box, notice it's not half and half, think "oh well," (because mistakes happen, right?) grab a slice, and was immediately disappointed. I went to the wings! Opened the clam shell, they didn't have much sauce but again, I'm starving, so just wanted to dig in, grab all the ranch, notice there was only 2 and not the 3 we paid for, said, "ok..." and ehhhhh...they were ok. Mediocre at best. Then I grab my soda and am like, "AND THE SODA?!" Like, dang! Was ANYTHING right? No. Nope. Nothing was right. It takes a lot for me to be dissatisfied, but this place nailed it. Sept 19 we celebrated my nephews 4 yr old bday. I think I found me a good pizza place. Bonus: it's near our home. My sis in law ordered 2 types of pizza which was chicken with tomatoes with white sauce and sausage pizza. Both were amazing. Pizza dough was perfect, not too thick nor thin. Appetizers included seasoned fries, onion rings, Buffalo and Parmesan chicken wings and salad. Sorry, not all were pictured ...we were hungry and food was just too good. Desserts were good as well! Staff was really nice. They even played a happy birthday song as a background for my nephew. Service is good and place is clean. Check them out and hope your experience is as good as ours! We were looking for quality affordable Italian food for takeout and found this hidden gym in our backyard. I got fettuccine shrimp and my partner got calzone. Both items were yummy. Pasta sauce was tasty while not overpowering and shrimp were fresh. Plenty of parking in the front. The restaurant has good seating but wasn't much crowded maybe because they have lots of to go orders. ETA was 20 mins and my food was ready. I'll definitely order again. read more

Took my car in at a nearby garage for some work so I decided to check out this place for lunch. There was another table, a party of 4, so we wait for a few minutes before placing our order. We didn't want to over order and really wanted to save room for the pizza. We had the all meats lover and asked for light cheese. It came out nicely! The crust is thin and the 14" pie was full of meats and the amount of cheese was perfect for us! The pepperoni pieces were not greasy like some places. The sauce was just right (not too light, not too much) and the flavors were soo delicious! The place has about 3 booths, 2 tables. The pizza boxes are stacked nearby and the pizza was made to order, it reminds me of a college pizza joints, no frill, just down to earth with good food. The bathroom is well maintained and clean, which is important to me, cuz it means they care about the place and their patrons. The gentleman who made the pie was extremely nice, has a kind face, let us to hang out after our lunch since it wasn't busy for a Wed afternoon. I would definitely come here again for the pizza. I want to try other items and I hope I'll save room besides the pizza. If not, take away boxes are always available! lol. Doorstep flyers DO work (at least on OUR family).... We received a flyer and eyed it for a few days, and then work kept me busy-- too busy to deal with dinner, so that Grinders flyer was screaming at us... I'm glad it did. I believe it was the owner Ahmad who answered the phone, he was courteous and read back my order to ensure he got everything correct. I ordered minestrone soup, garlic cheese bread, a BLT pizza, and chicken alfredo (all of that to take care of dinner and a couple of lunches-- busy workweek, ya know!). He told me it'd be ready in 20 min. I tested him, because we were starving... and arrived on the dot, 20 min later... everything was packaged up nicely (NICELY-- NOTHING leaked or oozed on the way home!), and Ahmad even ran out to my car because he wanted to be sure I didn't forget the pita bread that came with the soup. The minestrone was chock full of veggies and beans-- exactly right! The cheesy garlic bread was every bit the comfort you'd expect it to be and it comes with a red marinara sauce that STANDS ALONE-- it is WONDERFUL!, the BLT pizza has turkey bacon, but seriously, you'd never know-- it delivered a fantastic crunch along with the lettuce and tomatoes on top (He puts them on fresh, but let me tell you, the next day the lettuce crisps up in the air fryer to perfection! Am I weird? I guess I'm weird, haha). My chicken alfredo was fine, if a tad undersalted (easily rectified, don't change a thing on your end, Grinders), and the fettuccine was cooked just right. This place definitely has a great family vibe because the staff treated us like family. I called and spoke to the owner about reserving tables for my son's birthday party. Right away they said go ahead. Anyone can easily see them make the pizza from our seats! Menu had a little of everything.
