What to me so long to get to Carmines! This will be my new go to spot for pizza, pasta and meatballs. I'll start off with something that really stood out to me. The hospitality was like no other. Our waitress Bobbie was so sweet and helpful. She has been with Carmines for 30 years and I can see why. She knew the menu and gave us some great suggestions. The owners, John and Nikki are some of the nicest people in the business. They took time to talk with us and treated us like family. Thanks for the wonderful lunch experience! On to the food. We started with a chopped salad and it was so good. Don't miss this. We also had an order of garlic knots. So much garlic and the knots are crispy and soft. The marinara sauce was sweet and amazing. Main course we had 2 lunch specials, 2 slices of pizza and a drink. All meat, pepperoni and sausage, spicy Hawaiian, and pepperoni slices. They were all very good and the pizza crust stands out. Awesome New York Style pizza. The food stands out because they use high quality ingredients and family recipes. They love what they do and it shows. It's a cozy place and the decor is perfect. Dessert - Cannoli, cheesecake, and Tiramisu. All 3 were delicious can't tell you which was my favorite. You will not find nicer people and better food. Hubby's choice for Father's Day, 2026, we placed a takeout order- lunch time, for a large cheese pizza and a meatball sub, mmm. $37.50 for both items. In this day and age of Inflation, we can appreciate when a restaurant does not skimp on ingredients. I mention this because so many restaurants used to be better, but aren't good anymore, due to Inflation. Hubby and I have been together for 22 years and counting. So, we've seen many restaurants come and go, over the years. Not the case here!!! This restaurant, is a longtime favorite of my husband's family - the original location in the Commercial Center, under the Villa Pizza name, and for me, beginning in the 1990s, when I moved here, and discovered the Maryland Parkway location. My FIL became friendly with the Owner. Ingredients are flown in from NY. Well, I am so glad, that the recipes are being passed down to Owner's sons. Recently, we saw another location is being built on Rainbow. Bobbie Jo has been a long time. It's nice when you see the same people working here a while. She's been with the company for 30 years! Lunch was so yummy. As I've said before, this is our favorite cheese pizza. It is delicious. We rarely order the pizza with toppings. And we had leftovers- three large slices. One fourth of the meatball sub was also left over. The meatballs are sizeable and tender, seasoned perfectly. The bread was super soft. The marinara sauce was also very good. Like my husband said, when you spend the money, and the food is good, you don't mind it because it's what you're expecting, good food. Quality food is good food. If you are looking for that classic NY or NJ slice, this is about as close as it gets here in vegas. We have only been to this location, so I cannot speak for all of them. But this spot is putting out in my opinion some of the best pizza in Vegas especially if you are looking for that classic thin and crispy NY style slice. This place is a shining light in the dark, as I have mostly given up on pizza here. I will usually stop by and get the lunch special which is $7.99 for 2 slices and a drink, a very reasonable price. We have gotten some of the pasta dishes here as well as the calzone. The best is the carmine pasta ( I dont remember the exact name ). The prices across the board are very fair and you get your moneys worth in portion and quality. Every time we come it has been the same woman working the counter and serving, she is the best. Always friendly, kind, and quick with everything you need. Huge shoutout to her. Overall, this is 100% a spot worth checking out especially if you want one of the best slices you can find in town. Me and my family visit Cowabunga Bay on a weekly basis and when we do we always go and spend anywhere from $70-$100 at Carmine's because the food is tremendous it's always fresh and amazingly good but the Carmines 6565 Ford Apache Rd. is without a doubt the shittiest place I've ever been to when it comes to customer service. They will turn down $100 order because they try and say I can't bring a Gatorade in or a taco from the restaurant next-door, even though I'm buying food there as well not to mention I see the employees bringing in outside food and drinks so is it rules for the not for me type of scenario or just a power trip because I have been to other Carmine who do not have this rule anyways it has completely turned me off visiting this restaurant, which is sad because the food is really good read more

Definitely recommend Carmines if your having a pizza and wings craving. Pizza is a thin crust pizza really good sauce, we got dry plain wings good amount of flats in there (my favorite) they are big wings lots of meat on them they were nice and crispy got two little cups of ranch dressing perfect amount needed and can't forget we got a side of meatballs the sauce was great we used it to dip our pizza crust into. This is a nice little place that has GREAT lunch specials! My review is based on two visits. They have a 2 Slice and Drink or Half Sandwich with choice of salad or soup for $6.99. There are several tables inside so while this is likely a popular to-go place, you can definitely have a seat and the cashier also is the server. Both times - staff were super friendly! Visit #1: Party of 2 and we both got the sandwich special. The pasta fagioli is just ok - it's a broth with little macaroni-ish pasta and I have had a lot of different fagiolis before. It was Ok. The Sausage and Peppers will have tomato sauce upon request and I definitely said yes. The bread is really good here! Crusty crunch with a soft center - this makes a big difference and was delish. The sausage and peppers was nice and hot, freshly made! The salad that comes with the sandwich special is a good size! Your typical iceberg with tomatoes etc. Italian sub is fresh and has fresh slices of mozzarella on it with Italian meats. Solid! Visit #2: Party of 2 again and we got the same Italian/salad special and tried the Philly with a salad. Philly was a little small in the meat fill so maybe wishing for just a little more in it. Otherwise salad is of good portion once again! The one difference I would say between the two visits is that visit #1 the AC was good but visit #2 was quite warm and both times I was there at the 1pm-ish time. I'm just gonna say this pizza is a gift from the gods there's almost no pizza better I've had something a couple times similar from New York City but still wasn't as good as this this place is so good. It's unbelievable. I wish it was closer to my house. I have to drive all the way across town just to get it I have nothing but amazing heavenly things to say except for one thing maybe they could do maybe not is on the to go boxes. I frequented carmines about once a week and usually have a really great experience. Tonight we walked in at 09:15 hoping to grab some pizza,and we figured we had ample time to do so as their posted closing was 10:00pm. There was 2-3 tables dining in,but I asked the guy in the front if we still dine in (mind you 2-3 tables of seated customers were there dining in) and he said "Nop,take out only." Seems like an appropriate way to treat your customers or communicate your message ,and it kinda feels like he just didn't want to serve us despite us being regulars. Walked in and was greeted immediately. They asked my name and I was called by name while there. The staff were really friendly and energetic. There were several tables inside with people dining in. I ordered to go. Food was ready when I arrived. Got home and the order was all correct. The sauce that was served on the side with the garlic knots and the Stromboli was so plain to me. Tasted like straight tomato sauce without any added seasoning. Left a lot to be desired. Adding some salt was a definite help but it could use something more. We were hoping it wouldn't be the same sauce used on the pizza. I believe it was. The pizza with more toppings was definitely better than the just pepperoni. If you like plain tomato based pizza you'll probably really enjoy it. As for me I like more complexity and flavor to mine. The garlic knots were ok but didn't have a lot of garlic flavor to them. The Stromboli was probably my favorite item next to the cannoli. I would go back just to buy the cannoli to go. We had such a great time trying out this restaurant. The appetizers we tried were scrumptious (garlic bread w/ cheese and basket of garlic parm fries). The personal size pizzas were just the right size for each person. The crusts were nice and crispy with plenty of toppings. It was so good, we ordered more pizza to take home. First time ordering from Carmine's Pizza Kitchen. I read many reviews and since being from the east coast I had to check them out. The restaurant is clean, typical pizza joint with NY vibe. Employees super friendly. The pie itself had great flavors, light sauce & the cheese is to die for... good amount of oil, thin crust. We ordered a 1/2 pepperoni, sausage & 1/2 cheese. The only disappointment was that it was doughy - it should have cooked a few more minutes in the oven, no crunch on the crust and the bottom of the pie looked as if it needed more time. We noticed this place in a strip mall at corner of Sunset and Ft. Apache while we were at the UPS Store next door. It was near suppertime, so we gave it a try. Not disappointed one bit! Pleasant wait staff, and clean establishment with old days red-white checkerboard tablecloths and lots of New York old days photos on the walls. We were very interested in the Sicilian pizza, but we've experienced many "issues" with those at other places in the area. Main problem has been over-topping and under-baking. Because the dough is much thicker, it takes longer to bake, and the load of toppings retards that in the center, so the edges and bottom are done but the center pieces are soggy/gummy. Fingers crossed, we rolled the dice (It's Las Vegas!) and the Sicilian pizza came out a real winner! The entire pizza was baked to perfection. No gumminess anywhere, and nothing burned either. We topped with their thin sliced salami and fresh mushrooms and it was delightful. The size was very generous, on the order of ~12"x16" or so, giving us 8 yummy pieces. Prices are modest, too. Carmine's is now our go-to for Sicilian pizza. read more
