I always love coming to this location. It's a small location, but the tacos are absolutely amazing. I got the double D tacos with chicken and I got a Mexican Coca-Cola, which is amazing because it's made with the original king sugar. They also have a Coca-Cola freestyle machine where you can get a variety of different sodas that you like the only small thing with this location is they don't accept the rewards like they do at the other location so keep that in mind They said that they would be adding the rewards soon. We ordered off of Uber Eats (pickup), and even with the buy one get one free deal on both of our items, we're still mad to have paid. We got the cheese quesadilla and a burrito. The quesadilla was just cheese so I didn't expect too much, but it was unbelievably thin it might as well have been a tortilla alone. I've gotten more cheese in a plain Taco Bell quesadilla. The burrito had chunks of hard rice in it, the meat was tasteless, and the taste of the olives we got in it were the most tasteful thing in there. Highly disappointed, and I could see why they're running buy one get one. I was excited to try this after being in town for a festival this weekend. We waited in line for 20 minutes and all they had left was chicken- that's fine because it's 2:30am. No Jalapeños either... again understandable. I was excited to finally eat after hours and hours + I love tacos. The tacos had big chunks of salt all on it and was almost inedible due to the amount of large salt crystals... it actually made me extremely nauseous and almost throw up. I've never had that reaction to salt so I know it was an amount beyond what's normal. $39 for 6 tacos and 2 drinks isn't too bad but it 100% was not worth it. I would not recommend this taco spot at all!! Just go to Taco Bell instead because after a long wait- you'll just be met with a unsatisfied, nauseous stomach. We came in for a late night bite and had a good experience. I got the Drunk Gringo Burrito. It is massive and has everything in it. It was hefty and packed with flavor. All the proteins were good and the guac and veg was fresh. Service was super fast and they had outdoor seating in the back. It's a great spot for late night food. read more

Gringos locos the milk district location is small but packs a punch with quality and service. Gringos is a sponsor for a major podcast in Orlando and sometimes have stickers or magnets to hand out for fans. Unfortunately they had none at this time but the staff is so friendly they gave out some Gringos stickers for us. We went during lunch time and luckily it was slow at the time so we didn't have to wait long for some good tacos and burritos. I got the Double Ds, my wife got the mouth hugger burrito and both were fantastic!!!! I finished my tacos of within seconds and my wife loved her burrito. Definitely gonna try the chicken or pork next time after trying a bite of my wife's burrito. The beef on the tacos were a sweeter taste than a most places seasoned or spicy tacos. Gringos is fair priced and delicious, definitely recommend trying them out if your in the Milk District. read more

Definitely not a fan of this place. We ordered the double d tacos after the staff mentioned it won a best taco in Orlando award. The double ds are a hard taco shell placed into a soft flour tortilla shell, with queso acting as a glue between the shells. We tried beef and chicken. Unfortunately, the chicken was bland and cold. Yes, we could have gone up and told them but had already gone up a couple times due to some missing items. The queso was very thick, bland and chunky and the guacamole was a bit sour to me. Some spice in the queso and onions and cilantro in the guacamole would've helped. Sorry, but next time, I will stick with tin and taco down the street. read more

This is the OG gringos location! The double D's with ground beef are still my favorite and love the sweetness of their beef- it's not for everyone but I am a fan. Their white queso is so good and I always get a small side to add extra "glue" to the double D. Their Limón hot sauce is worth trying as well for an extra kick! My only complaints are their consistency. Sometimes you'll get fresh tacos stuffed with protein and toppings, other times you'll get skinny tacos with barely any meat in them and a lack of toppings. Also, they're notorious for messing orders up, so check your bag before leaving! Overall though, I have love for the double D's when made right. read more

... I asked for salsa on the side, extra lettuce, and extra sour cream. There was nothing on the side and nothing extra. My review is low because it was bland I just don't feel like the meat was seasoned and if there was queso I didn't taste it. I did like that they offer olives, since Moes is the only place I know that does. I received two servings of chicken since I don't eat pork. The chicken was shredded and it mixed with beef confused me. It tasted like refried beans from Taco Bell and I only got black beans. I may just be picky with my nachos cause my husband loves this place. It's nice that they open late and they have great customer service. I was in and out within a few minutes. One of my favorite taco spots hands down! Fell in love with Gringos back in my college days and it has been the same ever since. There are now 4 locations in orlando! The service is always great and quick I have sat in the restaurant to eat, order online to pick up and even ordered through the Uber eats app. Never disappoint. UPDATE: I still love Gringos Locos and it's regularly in my rotation of places to eat. Since 4th of July wasn't typical this year due to COVID-19, we decided to forgo the typical burgers and hot dogs and ordered Gringos via Uber Eats. The food came quickly and everything was prepared accurately. Their chips and queso are delicious and of course I got my usual Double D taco. You can't go wrong with those! I also ordered a chicken quesadilla and ended up fill from the chips and taco, so I got to enjoy the quesadilla for lunch the next day and it was still good leftover. I'm happy to see this place thriving with multiple locations and will continue to order from here to get a taco fix! I don't know why I have slacked on reviewing Gringos Locos for so long. This place is one of my favorite late night spots! If you want some inexpensive, legit delicious food then make a stop here! One of my go to orders is always a double decker taco. It's your choice of chicken, beef, or pork wrapped in a soft shell which is then glued to a hard shell with delicious queso. It is wonderful! I have had their tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. All are super yummy. The burritos are huge and can either make two meals or one tummy busting delicious dinner. My boyfriend loves the beef quesadillas and taco salad there. The beef is really unique. It has a kind of sweet flavor which normally I don't like but it works in this case. Had a taste for Tex mex and this place did not let me down. I would highly recommend ordering food during their happy hour. This will allow you to get more bang for your buck. I ordered the drunk nachos, a custom burrito and 2 tacos. Everything had a fresh taste and the nachos was enough to fill me up by itself. My ALL TIME favorite taco spot. All thanks to the Double D's. Comparable to the gorditas, a soft shell around a hard shell with your choice of protein. You know how people have their usuals are restaurants? Well, the Double D's tacos are my usual here. My one and only's. I've been meaning to try new things here but whenever I visit, I get a mean craving. I get the beef with all the toppings it comes with and give it a generous douse of hot sauce. (My favorite hot sauce next to Pollo Tropical's) These tacos are the best type of food to consume while drunk but still taste just as good sober. This location is near the Viet Town area on Mills. Very small with no seating options inside, only outside. If it rains, plan on taking the food to-go. Or eating it in your car, like I did. Once, or twice... Whenever I make the road trip to Orlando, this is a must for me to visit to hold over my taco craving until the next visit. read more

Happy National Taco Day! I've been craving some Double D's all day long and can't believe I haven't written about one of my favorite Orlando eats yet. Gringos Locos Double D's (queso spread on a soft tortilla wrapped around a crunchy tortilla, filled with your choice of ground beef, chicken, roasted pork, black bean or pinto bean, topped with cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo & sour cream) have been voted "Orlando's Best Taco" several years, and once you try them, you'll see why. I always go for the roasted pork -- all the way, add jalapeño + hot sauce. The only thing I will say is that these need to be eaten fresh! Because there is queso between the shell and the tortilla, the hard shell can get soggy pretty quickly and lose that crunch which is the best part in my opinion. I mean that doesn't stop me from ordering them for delivery on UberEats at 1am, but just know -- they're the best when eaten right away! They also have a great selection of HUGE burritos. My go-to is the Mouth Hugger (ground beef, chicken, queso, rice, cheese, pico de gallo, lettuce & sour cream) which always hits the spot. I tried Gringos Locos for the first time this week and I have admittedly gone back and had it twice now since. I'm so disappointed I didn't discover this place sooner. The Double D's tacos is a soft shell tortilla wrapped around a hard shell tortilla with queso between them, then stuff with your choice of protein and toppings. The tortillas and queso are a game changer!! I've also had their chips and queso and guacamole and all of those sides are very good as well. The chips are very thin, which I love! They have multiple locations all around Orlando and they're open late night as well which is a plus! You order at the counter and the food is ready very quickly. Searched online for a place to eat near Plaza Live (Colin Hay show was fantastic, BTW). This place looked perfect based on the online menu. Little did we know not all locations have everything shown online. Came during "happy hour" but no alcohol and no free chips and salsa offered . Tried to order fish tacos, nope not at this location. Not good for my pescatarian wife. Ran into a lot of "don't have that", "can't do that", and "they won't let us do that". With that being said..... the past few times that I've been there, the quality of the food has diminished greatly. From the "Double D", "Guaco Taco" to the Mouth Hugger" and beyond. I went here with my husband and kids recently. I probably wouldn't have even stopped if my husband hadn't spoken so highly about their downtown location that he's been to. Pros: The menu is awesome and prices are super affordable. The beef has almost a sweet taste to it which was really surprising and really good. Unlimited drink refills with their fancy flavor-mixing soda machine. Outdoor patio is small but serves the purpose of dining in an open space during COVID. The quesadilla was cheesy goodness that was devoured in minutes. Cons: I wish they were a bit more friendly. The guac needs a lot of help. Totally flavorless which was disappointing/ chips and guac is usually my jam. Overall, I would recommend - just don't order guac. Or you'll be disappointed. read more
