    The Wild Mushroom Pizza

Let's admit, pizza preferences are rooted in fond memories. If you want a cheesy gooey thing, then Grottos is quite fine. They added a wild mushroom pizza with a combination of baby portobello, Cremini and white mushrooms, marinated in cream and spices. It's topped with sautéed onions and a special blend of cheese. The Grand Slam has plenty of TVs for sports and nice local brews on tap. Super fast service at the bar. Great waitstaff. With all the TVs at the bar, if you want more quiet, head to of the dining rooms. (Let's see if "Joe t." gives my review an "Oh no" again.

My wife and I always come to this location when we come in town. Service is great and the delivery is key on those rainy days! We always get the pepperoni pizza and it's so good! Mostly ordering to go from this location, inside of the restaurant is huge inside, large enough to handle many large groups. This is a must to stop by, either inside or especially to go!

Descent pizza for what it is. Grotto Pizza is a staple whenever we visit Rehoboth/Lewes. The web-like drizzle with the flavorful crust and sweet pizza sauce is what we usually remember from here. Good pizza. Not great but really good pizza. This visit to the location off Shady Rd was the first time we have tried their appetizers, such as the onion rings, fried ravioli, and parmesan truffle dipper fries, and both were really good! My toddler loved the truffle dipper fries. I am not sure if it's the flavors or the shape of those fries but he's usually quite picky and I haven't seen him gobble something up so quickly. This location has gone through renovations and I was fooled that it was one of the newer locations when in fact it was one of the original ones. Our server was awesome, very attentive and friendly.

Always enjoy Grottos on my visit to Delaware!! Great customer service and wonderful pizza!! Came at lunch during 4th of July week and was pleasantly surprised with how quick our food came out and the service.

I've always enjoyed a salad and either pizza or a Nicoboli when I come here. Today, I tried the "heart healthy" fare, including a tossed salad, a mini pizza (fat free dough and no cheese) and Nicoboli (fat free dough, no cheese with veggies snd sweet peppers. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. But I can say that the no-fat versions of the pizza and Nicoboli were both tasty and satisfying. The dough for both items was cooked perfectly, with a nice crunch and the pizza had a good amount of veggies and sauce. The Nicoboli was larger than I thought, with veggies and sweet peppers. (I might ask for a tiny amount of cheese in the Boli next time. It was good, but a little cheese inside would help hold the ingredients together. Once we cut the Boli in half and bit it, the veggies started pouring out.) I'm pleased there are a number of items on the menu for dietary concerns, including fats and cheese, which are accommodated here. I thought my time at pizza places might be over, or, at least, awkward (pulling cheese off from a slice, eating half a slice), but this is great news. The salad (shared between two people) was ample as a side salad and was fresh. The service was good.

I haven't gotten their regular pizzas yet, but the Pepperoni Pizza Bites are very good! One of my family members also LOVES their Fried Zucchini Bites! However I think the ranch would be better if it wasn't Hidden Valley ranch and it was restaurant made. I would give it five stars, but, make the ranch restaurant made, make the cheese less rubbery, and it'd be great and worth a 5 star review! I recommend going here if you and your family love pizza and want to eat out!

We ordered mussels for the appetizer which was absolutely delicious! We each got an adult beverage and the table ordered a brick oven chicken, fish tacos, grilled salmon, and the crab cake sandwich. Once I saw shrimp and grits on the menu, I immediately zeroed in on that. I love shrimp and grits going back to my Winchester days. Succulent shrimp, cheesy grits, and a nice porky meat to give it extra character. Here they use chorizo. But ham or bacon are good options as well. I also like that they give you eight big pieces of shrimp. Not like other restaurants that only give you two or four prawns and call it a day. The crab bisque is good too. A tasty soup that works well this time of year. Even though it was cold the first go around, the second one tasted hot and fresh. Of course it would taste good. The Delmarva region is abundant in crabs. Just as I would expect a clam chowder to taste great in New England or Manhattan. One thing to nitpick, it should come with oyster crackers, not saltines. They work better when it comes to a bisque or a chowder. Besides that, I have little to complain about.
