Noe and Maria arrived on time and did a beautiful job on the shower regrout and Noe even accommodated some last minute requests to add caulking in the kitchen and quarter round. Unfortunately, we had different ideas about what grout 'touch-ups' meant for the floors - I wanted a few spots regrouted to match the rest of the flooring's grout color - but it really lacked a professional touch and didn't look good at all. I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. They were quick, provided a reasonable quote compared to others I got in the area, and the work was good. I specifically waited a while to see if the grout or caulk would crack, and it's holding up well. I would give a five star review if not for a couple small things. Firstly, I was not informed up front when giving the quote that they only caulk areas where there is no paint. i.e. they can do the tub to floor, they can do sink to vanity, but they won't do vanity to drywall. I found out later that this is fairly common practice, so not a huge deal, but I did wish someone mentioned it back when I was getting the quote and not when the guy arrived on my door to do the job. So take note if you don't know much about caulking like me. Secondly - and this is the main reason I took off a star! I had a lot of items in my shower that I didn't have time to clear prior to the tech's arrival, and when I rushed to clear them, he kindly informed me that he could do so and I didn't have to. OK, great! Honestly the tech was nothing but kind to me but... I had a bin of clean laundry sitting near to the master bathroom door waiting to be folded. I returned a while later to discover that he had moved many shower items, most of which have a bit of soap stain or hair or other sticky shower nastiness on them... INTO my clean laundry bin and directly on the carpet! Needless to say I redid my laundry, moved the shower items onto a towel, and scrubbed the carpet after he left. I truly believe the tech had the best intentions, but I would advise removing your shower and tabletop things yourself if you hire The Grout Guys! Otherwise, the actual work itself was perfect :)

I set up an appointment and Mac (a great guy by the way) came over a few days ago. He has over 20 years of experience and it showed. He went far beyond what I was expecting. Not only did he replace the moldy silicone all around the shower and replace all the cracked moldy grout, he completely cleaned the shower walls and floor with a razor. I never realized how much soap scum could build up even with fairly regular cleanings using a bathroom surface cleaner. Everything looks better than I expected it to look. I posted a Yelp Quote request and the bids came back rough. One contractor wanted $600 to swap the tile, another talked about pulling the tub to do the job right. KMC took one look at the photo and knew it was a simple fix. They came out, spent about an hour on it, and when they were done I honestly couldn't tell anything had happened. Two etched spots, gone. The travertine looks like the rest of the floor. The crew was professional and clearly knew what they were doing with stone. You could tell they've handled this exact problem plenty of times. They also do other restoration work, and after seeing the result on this, they're who I'm calling next time. If you have an etch, stain, or damaged spot on travertine or natural stone, send them a photo before you let anyone talk you into replacing tile. Saved us a lot of money and a lot of disruption.
