Burgers were mediocre and condiments were all very stale. Service was non existent. The restaurant was clean but tables we're not bussed.

First of all, never ever pass by Grumps in Granbury without reading the message on their sign. Right now it's showing something like "2020 1 star. Bad. Cannot recommend." Last message was "A day without sunshine is like... night." Gotta love a restaurant with a sense of humor. Grumps is a hamburger joint. It's not fancy. You order at the counter, they bring you your food. I think they have things other than burgers and patty melts, but I've never tried any of it (other than sides). The burgers and patty melts are terrific. There may be other places with equally good burgers, but for my money their patty melt is THE BEST. And the sides, well they are also great. While you're waiting there were big pails of peanuts on the table, now they bring you peanuts - because... Covid. But you wont starve waiting for food. And the food is great. The cholesterol and calories are high. You can't ask for much more from a burger joint. read more

Really my fav burger in town. The jalapeño bun is wow!! Pattie cooked great! Peanuts on the table are great! Soft drinks are "local" (brewed??) On our way home after Dinosaur Valley we were looking for somewhere to eat. I saw the name and that they served burgers, which made the kids happy, so we stopped. I got a BLT with their spicy bacon. I would offer 5 stars, but feel that after the full reopen of the restaurant, the food is still being served in to go containers and all of the standard condiments are included, but in separate containers. I will tell you that it has changed the whole taste of what you are producing! Go back to the burgers in the paper wrappers fully set up with condiments! My wife and I went there on Friday, January 4th and the place was very busy. We have been there 4-5 times previously and really enjoyed the burgers with Jalapeño buns. We were really disappointed tonight as we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. I hope this was a one time occurrence. Burgers were very good and the fries were cold. We love Grumps! One of the best burgers in town! The parking can be a challenge but it's worth it! My kids love eating to roasted peanuts while we wait on our order even though it usually doesn't take too long. They serve homemade ranch and some of the best homemade chips I've ever had! read more

The atmosphere is that of a hamburger joint! The wait staff is excellent in making sure the guests are well-fed and taken care of. When you order the cashier is friendly and you can see the cooks who are making your food. As far as the food is concerned: great burger and French fries! Grump's is one of my favorite places. I would say get the freckles, and the chips and queso trio. The chips are thinly cut potatoes and make for a fantastic atmosphere. There IS outdoor seating around back and even a wiffleball court for the kids (or adults if you're up for it). They have sangria swirl margarita's and the best burger in Texas.
