Great, great, great burgers! Not much to choose from but made fresh. Patted out in front of you so I love that. Shakes are thick and amazing. They can use processed cheese but hey, I do not eat cheese so I am good. Friend had a melt and I swear that was Kraft from the plastic. Looked like it anyways. I had the Blue Cheese burger and go me! While driving thru town we decided to stop for lunch. Service was very attentative and friendly. Burgers were excellent, fresh off the grill, just enough of everything. Also had fried pickles and corn nuggets. Regular fries nothing special. Will definitely come back. read more

Good place for a burger and a cold beer, not the best place in town though... The burgers were tasty, however the meat was burnt and greasy. A bit pricey for hamburgers, without anything special about them. read more

I like Grumps. They make a good burger, but I suppose I was a little disappointed they didn't make a better burger. It's basically a higher quality fast-food burger. Think iceberg lettuce, a tomato slice, and mustard or mayo. I suppose I was hoping for some more gourmet options like grilled onions, blue cheese, avocado, Swiss/Provolone/Cheddar/Havarti/Brie/etc, maybe paired with pear, or a simple hickory burger with Canadian bacon and cheddar. Nope. There's nothing like any of that in Granbury. It's still a backward little town with regard to dining habits. read more

Grumps has absolutely amazing burgers! The 'chips' are delicious and crispy! They had a wonderful jalapeno ketchup that was ice cold and to die for! The staff was friendly and prompt and we didn't have any problem finding a clean table. They had a good selection of sodas at the fountain, and I left satisfied with a full belly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes burgers! read more

I went here for lunch while in town. The food wasn't bad but my wait to get my to go order was much too long and the grease that saturated my bag was a bit much. The staff were a nice enough group. I suppose if I had time to burn, it would have been a better experience. read more

Recently visited Granbury and got a take out burger here. Line was long but eventually saw that I could skip ahead and pick up order to the right of the dine in crowd. Burger was good and fries were good also. It would have all been better if dining in just for keeping the bun from getting steamed & soggy in the clamshell to go box. Counter service was very friendly and saw that folks were shelling & snacking on peanuts while waiting on there orders. Would be a fun place to watch a ballgame with friends. read more

Be prepared to take a nap afterwards. This is one of the best burgers in town, but it is heavy.

Well, you might be a grump when you go in, but you sure won't be when you leave Grump's. Deliciously messy queso bacon burgers, wonderful onion rings with their homemade ranch dip, freshly made chips - and the fried jalapeño slices kill those fried pickles at other places. And they have peanuts to munch, too! The only negative for me is that I'm in Raleigh, NC, and Grump's is in Granbury, TX. Glad we made the visit! read more

I've been to every Grumps location and this is my favorite. Great food cooked right, love to crack a few shells and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game. My kids love to go to see what the new picture to color it is. Try the fried jalapeños and blue cheese burger!! read more

Nice area with great view of the water. Quality of the ingredients is poor, though. No waiter service to top it all. Not some place want to go, But it's obviously quite popular. The store is actually nice and has some cool brands. read more

The folks working here were real friendly. The food was good and the atmosphere was great. Started then night out going to "the fillin station" and after a rude experience there we traveled a couple miles (3 miles) and had a great experience here. read more

I love the food here!! I always get a burger and fries, it's so filling, sometimes so filling I can't eat it all.. be careful because the ketchup and jalapeño ketchup are both in a red bottle!!! Keep giving them chances because I love the burgers! But the service is terrible! I called in a order tonight and was told 35 minutes and when I got there (at 40 minutes because I like to make sure I get there when the food is done) I had to wait 40 more minutes. If they wouldn't have taken my payment when I first got there I would have canceled my order. Not only was I upset but many customers kept having to ask how much longer on their food! And to make it worse when my order was ready the lady (I am assuming manager) was texting on her phone with her gloves on that she then proceeded to use to touch my food and put it in the bag, after she was done on her phone. My husband and I visited Grumps because of the reviews we read on Yelp. It was the best burger we've had in a very long time. We had the mushroom swiss on the jalepeno bun. It was amazing! Solid burger joint. Awesome Texas-style vibe. I had the bleu cheese and bacon burger on jalapeno bun ($6?) Fantastic beef flavor and the bun was delicious. Warning: they put mustard on their burgers as a standard practice. I'm a West Coast gal and always forget about this Texan preference. No problem though; they were more than happy to make me another bun without mustard. I requested mayo and ketchup and they had both in great supply. They have great service! The lettuce is shredded (I prefer hand leaf) and the tomatoes and onions were a little skimpy but just a small complaint. This feels less like a gourmet burger joint and more like a place to get your daily iron quotient. The meat on the burgers was tasty and well flavored. I ate every bit of my burger. My kids had the chicken tenders and the grilled cheese (both $3.99 and come with a drink). The hubby had the chili burger and an order of chili fries (probably should have just ordered the regular fries). The chili fries were pretty greasy but many people like them that way; I think it steals from the crispiness of the fries when they are drenched in chili but that's just me. They do have fried pies and Blue Bell ice cream but strangely we didn't try them. Probably too full from all the delicious burgers. read more
