PLEASE READ: After finding GTP on Yelp I decided to get a quote. My POC was Jonathan. He was very friendly and honest about his assessment and estimate of our project. I wanted to put in a putting green on the side of my house. However, we have a very unique problem...to get to that part of the backyard you would have to pass around our pool with a 2-3 foot wide walkway. And to add to that problem, we had 4 palm trees we needed removed to make room the the putting green. I thought I'd ask for an estimate and assumed that once any company saw our situation they would turn away and run. Jonathan told me, "nothings impossible". He made us feel at ease with our situation and told us they would brainstorm possibilities. From the get go, he gave us a fair estimate. Once they figured out the logistics, he came back with the final price and we were happy to find out that, not only was their price fair, it was very competitive in comparison with the other companies we got quotes from. Once the landscapers and Jonathan's team came, it took about 7-8 hrs to remove 4 palm trees, flower bushes and rocks, and lay the putting green down. We had some friends use this company and we're excited about their product. We have been in the market and called a few days ago to request a quote. I believe it was the owner of the company we were initially contacted by and he said he would send out the same man as our friends. George contacted us for our availability and we suggested over this weekend if he was working so that my husband could be present. Originally he gave us two times that worked for him - the next day at 2 or Monday at 12. Either worked great for us. On Saturday he sent a text stating he did not have proper childcare (not a problem - children always come first) so he said he would come Monday at 12. On Monday (today) he called at 11:42 letting us he know he's on the way to us in hidden meadows from Chula Vista (roughly 40 minutes). At 1:18 pm he texted asking for our address. We had to provide this on our quote request so not sure why he said he was already on his way without this information?? Then at 1:45 I requested an ETA with no answer. I put out a few inquiries for my backyard lawn to be replaced by turf and rocks since I was sick of pouring water and money into a spotty brown lawn. The quotes I received from Green Turf Pro were comparable to others I had received and the feeling I got from meeting with Angel helped to make our decision. He left us with about a dozen turf samples to try out and we made our choice. The whole project took three days to remove the current lawn and install the new turf and rocks. This also included some drainage and irrigation improvements. Angie in the office and the onsite manager, Lou also helped out and were easy to work with. A few days after installation, I noticed a leak in the irrigation line between the turf and rocks. Angel and Angie helped to get a team out to inspect and correct it in a few days without any issues. I had 3 different people/companies come out and give us quotes and they definitely came in the lowest. They also did all the work in less than 6 hours. They really huddled and worked hard. Wow. From the moment we called Green Turf Pro to the time our yard was finished was over a span of just six days! We called last Thursday and spoke with Angel to see about a consultation and he was able to squeeze us in that afternoon. He came out and we collaborated on ideas on what we wanted to accomplish and then he took his time getting the measurements just right. He gave us a quote that day and we ended up signing the contract the next day, Friday, because we just knew we wouldn't be able to find a better deal out there! I did my research and thought I found the best company. I'm a personal trainer and told my sales guy that I was using the turf for workouts/lots of traffic. He assured me what I was getting would hold up great and we all know turf isn't cheap. Im about 6-7 months in and have pieces of turf still coming out, lumps below because they didn't use the type of decomposed granite necessary for high impact/traffic, strings from the seams coming up and spots where the turf is already matted down and won't stand back up - not enough silica I suppose? Also, they didn't cap all my water off so I had leaking under the turf for months creating a lot of the "lumps". So much for saving on the water bill. Angie has been great to talk with; but the company itself is fairly unresponsive. I've been waiting to "hear back from my sales rep" for a couple weeks to discuss what's going on with my turf - my business - my income as a single mom - and I've heard crickets. They've come to repair several issues and I appreciate that; but overall I'm very disappointed with my product and feeling supported and sold the correct thing. I'm assuming to get the correct decomposed granite under my turf will be another charge - should have been sold this from the beginning. Do your research. read more

I met with Angel Cervantes, Director of Sales, in September 2021 and described my vision for my back/side yard for synthetic turf with a putting green. My project was probably more on the difficult side because it involved 3 different types of turf (putting green, fringe, and regular turf). I also wanted a retaining wall/planter as well as a stand-alone wall that divided the pool deck from the artificial turf. Angel understood my vision, and gave me a proposal for the project-which seemed very reasonable compared to proposals from other turf companies. We went ahead with GTP and started the project beginning of October 2021. Honestly, I was initially nervous about the outcome being so unfamiliar with synthetic turf and how detailed the installation process was. The installation took about 1 1/2 weeks, only because it rained a couple of days. It probably would have only taken a week at most with how efficient the crew was. The crew, about 6 people headed by Carlos (lead installer) was very professional, with each having their own job working cohesively. Jay, who was part of the crew, kept me informed all day each day of all the steps involved with the installation. It was very helpful. There were a couple minor setbacks, which were handled very professionally and quickly by Angie (Project Coordinator/Office Manager). I am very appreciative of her help in making my project a success. The reason I waited over 4 months to complete this review is because I wanted to make sure everything was functioning properly, such as the drainage (lots of rain), pet order (I have dogs), color, seams, block walls, etc. All are perfect, I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and I highly recommend using GTP For your artificial turf/block wall needs. My experience with Green Turf Pro started off really well. Jonathan came out and gave me a very reasonable quote (I got three). The guys who came out in October 2022 to install our grass worked very hard, were very nice and did a great job where there were cement borders (sidewalk, driveway) that dictated where the should begin and end. The problem was the areas where there was no solid border or edge. I was told later that on one side, they "followed the rock line" and yes, there were some small rocks in the area but I'm not sure why that determined the edge. On the other side of the driveway there were no rocks to follow and the cut edge was just a jagged line. What's frustrating was that I was home the entire time they were working and no one inquired. I did go out to check several times but those portions hadn't been completed yet. There was never a discussion about how we wanted the edging done and unfortunately this project was all new to me and it did not occur to me to discuss. I told the guys I didn't want to pay the balance until the situation was rectified and told the office that as well and the guys left but were back a few minutes later having been sent back to y house to get the balance, I should not given them the balance, but did). Later, I was assured by Angie, the office manager, that those areas would be fixed but after sending photos of what needing fixing, several phone calls, cancelled appointments and tons of excuses, here we are in January and nothing has been fixed. Maybe the problem is with the business itself and not the workers? It's too bad because they did do a good job on the rest of the turf and worked very hard. If you use this company I guess you'll be okay if the job is done correctly initially but if any repairs need to be done, don't count on anyone coming out to fix it. read more

Great customer service, competitive pricing, great finished product. I had block walls, pavers, turn and decomposed granite surfaces installed in my back and front yards. They accommodated low voltage wiring installation and completed a few custom items with great results: particularly the rounded bullnose steps. As a primarily turf installation company, they've been superb and I'd recommend them all day, every day. The more complicated design work, planning and attention to detail required time and communication and there wasn't a great structure in place to make sure it was all done to customer spec. There were breakdowns in communication between their teams which lead to a few issues. However, they were very responsive to stop work and change orders on-site and everything came out great in both yards. I'm not removing a star for these communications breakdowns as they never presented themselves as anything other than a turf, block and paver installation company. Every challenge was met and every issue was corrected in a timely manner. I don't seem to have kept before and after pictures for the backyard, installed around Aug 2020. We have a little backyard and I decided to remove the plants and just have turf installed which is pretty much zero maintenance from our end. The previous owner of the house we bought already have a spot with turf so I thought maybe I should get a quote around thru Yelp and see if they'll give me a rough estimate since we only have a couple of small areas. I received suggestions to DIY since the area is small and it will be expensive to add installation services, then there were some who gave me a quote of more than 2k (Whaaaattt??!! are they putting gold dust underneath it?), but when I received a response from Green Turf Pro and they would like to see the backyard first, I thought ok this might give me a lengthy sales speech if I let them visit us LOL but I went ahead and they were able to squeeze us in the next day (on a weekend). My husband and I met Frank, and oh boy, his knowledge, suggestions, and zero pressure discussion made me comfortable to book them for the service. Of course since it's almost Father's Day I had to add a putting area for my husband :-) and replace the old turf since the former home owner's contractor for that used the older version of the turf with rubber? We did our due diligence and researched several local landscaping companies. We also contacted the local rock and gravel suppliers for their input. I must admit, folks are slammed with work and many calls got unanswered. We contacted Green Turf Pro and they set up a visit for consultation. Our contact was Jonathon (sp?). The scheduled consultation was right on time. Being the first time using a landscaping company, we learned quite a bit enough to define a work order which encompasses both front and back areas. We received the work order estimate, and it was well within reason, cost and time wise. In fact, the company did research on available resources and was able to bring down the total price. I also must state that their work schedule time and overhead was much less that other companies we researched. We choose GTP and work was scheduled. The GTP teams were efficient, and the work was accomplished in short order. We did have a couple of additional items that were rolled into the overall work scope.
