I spent four years with my kitchen sink where the hot water didn't come out. Up until this past winter my dry cracked hands could not take it anymore. I was always hesitant to call a plumber because of being overcharged. I got quotes from other plumbers but still delayed the service. The work crew was exceptional. Friendly, kind ,and worked non stop. My job required a new septic tank with all new equipment . The job was very extensive and expensive. I had reviewed 3 different companies and decided on Guardian Plumbers my son spoke with them first. George Rios came to my property to interview me and to look at my property. He observed that there was leaking . I gave him a history and age of the home. I asked him if the debris would be removed from my home on completion of the project. He told me not to worry the company would arrange for removal of dirt and debris quoted a price about 375.00 I agreed to pay the price. During the job a massive amount of stone arrived . The onset of the job a day later I met a Job supervisor Howard, he was informative he stated there would be a large amount of dirt left in my font yard. I told him George told me that the company would arrange a truck to come and pick up any debris and I the owner would pay for the removal of the debris. Howard heard me and again repeated it will be a lot dirt. Okay. I spoke with Howard one more time to confirm the truck . On the completion day May 4 2024 . The lead man on the crew approached me. He knew I was promised a truck removal. He called George Rios 3 times on 5/4/24 unable to reach Mr. Rios he contacted a supervisor of sites in the company office he spoke with the supervisor in the office and explained my truck removal situation. I was standing close to him listening via the speaker phone. The supervisor addressed me telling me not to worry he would send a truck Wednesday or Thursday of the next week to remove the dirt and debris. Today is Friday May 10, 2024. No one has contacted me and my yard looks like a demolition site. I have a massive amount of stone in my driveway and my front yard is buried under debris and dirt. My invoice is under my sons name not mine . I contacted this company twice via email to give them my email address and name . I have not received a invoice with my name on it . I am using my copy of the cashiers checks. There is a breakdown within the systems of this company. It appeared that the supervisors worked independently not together. Why offer services to a consumer you do not intend to honor? The crew working in the side yard left the yard in great condition and cleaned the site. I am posting this review to inform potential customers of what can occur. This company is dishonest and neglectful and they do not honor their verbal agreements. WOW !!!! , Great service in soooo many ways !!! . Robert and Josh were on time ,very professional, KNOWLEDGEABLE and friendly . We had a troublesome kitchen sink ( and no outside drain pipe ) clog and our pipes under the sink were installed like a mousetrap game / maze , which makes it very difficult to unclog that way. And Robert know the best way to fix the the issue Which required him to go in from the vent on the roof and it was very hot that day ( and later in the day ) so I'm sure they were both a little tired ( but neither showed it ). Not good. After sending me a pretty high quote to replace a bathroom faucet, I was given the option to have it repaired for a lower cost quote. We went with the repair option that was quoted. So the invoice comes in saying that the issue was not resolved, yet we are still being billed for incorrect work. Another invoice was attached for additional money to fix the right problem, which was an angle stop valve replacement. I spoke with the tech, he confirmed that the repair did not fix the issue, and that we should have just replaced the faucet. When I asked him if replacing the faucet would have solved the issue with the angle stop valve, he said no, that it was separate issue an and a separate quote. Then what is the point of replacing the faucet in the first place if if does not solve anything? And the office was unresponsive to my concerns, until I disputed the invoice. read more

The shower valve was stuck open. The only way to keep the water from continuously running was to close the main water shutoff which was a MAJOR pain. Angel came out on a Saturday night and was able to fix the issue that night and offered a more $reasonable solution rather than trying to upsell the issue. Would HIGHLY recommend! read more

We needed hot water to a sink, just needed an undersink water heater. Accepted their quote because they got it to us the fastest - Got cheaper quotes, but AFTER this was already scheduled. Anyways, it was a single lever faucet that we had. They had to disconnect the lines to add in the new line from water, so presumably the fixture was just sitting there. Asked, "hey, can you connect this new fixture instead of the old one" because we wanted a double lever faucet. It was a nicer, brand new piece. So when I asked to do installation on this new faucet, I was told that it would be an additional charge EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE SAME WORK, just on a different piece of hardware. The old faucet wasn't even connected at this point, literally disconnected - so when it was reconnected, they could've just connected this other one - the same amount of time and effort, actually probably less since it didn't have wear and tear on it, no rust or salt build up, etc. Felt like an unnecessary upsell and general bad business practice. They left and we're just swapping it out ourselves. Stars rating reasoning: Cost - Slightly higher than other bids, but reasonable in comparison to the others, although an hour of work to install a $200 part for over $1,000 total is still absurd. Speed: Super fast Professionalism: Terrible. I think it should've been included to do probably less work. Then when they were done, they left without someone come to double check the work. This place is amazing beyond amazing we have used them several times before . We have called them in the middle of the night for an issue and they arrived in 40mi or less and they informed us that we would eventually need to replace some pipe issues so we had them come back a few weeks later to do that job. Fast foward to sat 07/09 we had to call our home warranty and they finally sent a company on Tuesday 07/12 we'll the guy said he couldn't get to our valve cartridge and he would have to charge us almost 1,000 we almost agreed to it then my husband said "bo call guardian " we did and they had someone out there next morning 07/13 and the plumbers they sent were George and Angelo and they gave us 2 options and boom they fixed it for nowhere near the price The other place was gonna charge .Theg are amazing thank u so much guardian plumbers read more

The pricing and tactics used warrant a one star review, however they were very friendly and professional, so I felt inclined to give them an extra star. Their tactic of charging $69 to come and provide an estimate sets them up well for their crazy high quote to complete the work. We asked them to come fix a slow leak on our mainline. Important to note that I do the majority of the pipe work around my 10 acre property, but didn't have the time to take care of this one. They arrived on time and dug up the mainline area in about an hour. Once the area was exposed the leak was now a much stronger spray because the pressure was not holding it back. The technician said it is very common that this happens (however he didn't mentioned this could happen prior to digging). However, now that he has me for $425 for the hour of digging, he proceeds to tell me that it will be $3650 to make the repair and it can't be done until 4 days later. At which time I will probably want to minimize my water use and just turn my main water off and on as I need it. My driveway is over a 1000 ft. long and I have 10 acres to maintain. This was in no way an option, so I was forced to dig my heels in. I also told him that his pricing is ridiculous. We are looking at some PVC parts that were no more than $150 (on the high end). He said it would take 2 to 3 guys a full day to repair and they will need to do additional digging. INSANE. It might take ME that long but 1 experienced guy should be able to do it in an hour or so and no additional digging should be required. I then told him that I would like to use Schd 80 fittings, to ensure the fix is strong. He said that would cost me an extra $200 to go from Schd 40 PVC to Schd 80 PVC fittings. (5 x 90s, 1 Tee, 1 Bushing, 5' Pipe, a little glue and primer...all 2.5") So now the parts are around $400? WOW. I know this to be ridiculous because I have repaired portions of my mainline myself. What a scam. Long story short....we went back and forth about WHEN to make the repair and he finally got a crew the same day to make the repair. The lead tech (of the installation crew) explained to me that they always make those type of repairs in Schd 80, it's their standard. Hmmm.....that doesn't match up with what the first guy said. Also, no additional digging was required....just as I said (so excited that I paid for it). Anyway, at the end of the day (actually 2 hours later) the repair was fixed and I was out almost $4000, for no more than half a day of work, and I still have to fix the small bit of asphalt that they tore up because "they don't do that". This was a total racket. Yes, they get the work done, but expect to pay 3 times more than anywhere else. I will note that through all my back and forth they knocked off about $275 of the which brought it to $3800. I could have remodeled a small bathroom for that much. read more

UPDATE: The Halo5 tank installed is dented and scratched. And, unfortunately, the contractor has become unresponsive to warranty requests because one of their workers burned a hole in a tub surround and chipped a tub in our home. We are attempting to find a replacement but they have stated they will hold off on addressing any issues (i.e., hot and cold water valves loose in the wall, shower valve replacements that are not anchored to the inside of the wall so they float between the two showers, vent on roof is loose and we have to keep straightening it out and trying to secure it from falling off the roof, broken roof tiles and the painting of the roof tiles in the front of our house a pinkish/tan color when our roof tiles are brown) until we locate and settle the replacement tub surround issue. In addition, the drywall and texture repair that they supply is of poor quality. We have flat areas, areas that are not 'knocked down", noticeable box areas on our walls now and the texture, generally, does not match our existing texture. We attempted to meet with the owner to address our issues but were told that he was too busy to meet with us. It certainly doesn't appear that they are going to honor "Our promise to you: ...- All work Guaranteed - Quality Customer Service - ..." as stated on their website. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The scope of work performed was a whole house repipe, replace a tankless water heater and installation of a Halo5 system. My water heater thermocouple failed and wouldn't keep the pilot lit. Since my water heater was already 16 years old, I decided beforehand that I wanted it replaced, and slightly upgraded from 40 to 50 gallons. On Saturday, another plumbing company came over and started playing games with pricing and I saw right through them, so I sent him away nicely. I did some more in-depth searching and filled out info for Guardian Plumbers via the Bradford-White website, and they called me right away and set a day to have a look. Jose Rodriguez looked at the existing, and since it was a straightforward project he was able to give me an estimate fairly quickly. The price was right in line with what I was expecting (looking online and my friend that had a similar replacement done). No games with the prices, just charged what it should cost to do the work. So I said let's go. He was very efficient, even though it was a hot day. He told me roughly what he was going to do and what was included, including some minor code upgrades (gas flex, expansion tank, pan) which was a nice relief from worrying that things wouldn't go as I would want. I am picky about not only the installation and products used, but also the "fit and finish" of any home projects. That's why I DIY so much because many contractors won't do the last 10% due to time and cost. But with my water heater it looked good, Jose made good decisions about the strapping, piping, etc. so that it looks neatly installed. He cleaned up the area afterwards as well. It's nice to know that I don't have to look around so much next time I need plumbing work done. My shower mixing valves will need to be replaced when I remodel the bathrooms, toilets changed out, new valves on my sinks, dishwasher installation and maybe a whole house water filter are on my list in the upcoming years. Customer service is great. Workers are friendly and responsive. But these guy are just too expensive. I called them because I had a new kitchen sink installed. The drain pipe for the sink had to be cut for the sink to fit properly. I called Guardian Plumbers to come out and they quoted me $800 fix it along with replacing some shark bite fittings that another plumber installed. After realizing that I had a new sink installed (again the main reason for calling) they said that the drain pipe needed to be recut and they had to install a new one to get the sink, garbage disposal, and drain pipe to align properly and that would be an extra $1300. They have become very over priced and I feel they take advantage of their customers. This last repair was a common pin hole in a 90 copper fitting. Easy to get to and I was over quoted by $400 than competitors with longer warranty's. Guardian quoted over $800, while competitors estimated $400. Before this job there was a water heater replacement. Guardian wanted $2,000 and ended up charging $3,000. Very disappointed. read more
