All I can say is the man who I talked to on the phone tonight was extremely rude. I have celiac disease, and it's imperative that I avoid gluten, even on a cross contamination level. Being that it's such a common allergy these days, almost all pizza places have a gluten-free pizza, but they are not always safe for someone who actually has celiac disease. This takes special training. I always have to call and ask questions before I decide to place an order. Overall, the man I talked to tonight sounded like he was in a huge rush and was straight-up annoyed that he had to answer my two or three questions about the gluten-free pizza, as I was trying to determine if it was safe or not. I eventually just gave up and hung up the phone. I couldn't handle how bitter he sounded. Having celiac disease is stressful enough without having to deal with someone's anger issues. It's quite a shame because the Russo family has been eating here for years. In the end, I called Lou Malnati's, and I couldn't believe how nice the manager was over the phone. He told me everything I needed to know in a very polite way, and assured me over and over again that I could eat their Pizza safely as long as I tell them that I have celiac disease when I place the order. We visited this business with a Local Flavor coupon for $20 worth of take out food. We called ahead and placed an order for two sandwiches with fries and a drink which were $10 each per their online menu and printed menu. When my son went to pick up our order, the owner was angry and said he was charging us an additional $3 per sandwich since we were using a Groupon (his words) and he refused to include the drink. I checked the order and not only did we not get the drink, but one of the sandwiches was supposed to be a combo and we only got the sausage, no beef on it. I called back and inquired why this had occurred. He stated that the order we placed was a special and you couldn't use a Groupon for a special. I told him that the $10 sandwich with fries and a drink was on his regular menu, both online and on the printed menu and that it said nothing about being a special. I also mentioned that we received the wrong sandwich. He very rudely told me he didn't have time to discuss this issue and that we got our food and he hung up on me. I did not treat him with any disrespect and I don't feel he should have dismissed my issue. We have been going there for years, but not anymore. I won't spend my money where the owner is rude and doesn't value his customers. If he doesn't want to accept Local Flavor or Groupon, he shouldn't advertise with them! read more

Decent thin crust pizza but rude employees. Ordered for first time today and was told no delivery( not sure why when I went to pick up there were signs stating they deliver) Guy behind counter rolled his eyes when I asked him to repeat price. Tosh .O was on tv so loud I couldn't hear him first time. Nothing wrong if employees want a tv but you're customers should come first. The best pizza in Tinley. My family used to order from Beggars in Oak Forest. They were good too, but they got more expensive and way too stingy with their ingredients. I never find this to be the case with Guardi's. I really love their thin crust and they're generous with their ingredients! The owner in my experiences has been nice. May have been a little "rough around the edges" at first, but overall nice guy. (But I go for the pizza, so to each their own.) Gave a free pop a few times here and there with our pizza. I really like it for the quality, price, and it's just blocks away from our home. We at least get pizza from them 2-3 times a month! Also they have an app, where if you buy 6 pizzas you get the 7th one free on your next visit! read more

Pizza crust was lousy. Asked for delivery and they charged me $27. for an x-large pizza that with delivery. Frozen pizza is better. I used to get their pizza but never again. Changed from pick up to delivery and got a hard time doing it. Never again!! read more

We have ordered pizza from guardi's for years and have had good food but lately it has changed first of all they charge the most delivery charge of any other pizza place in this area, we ordered a pizza and it came with a piece of plastic in it I call and the owner said he would give me a break on the next order it did not happen, I ordered a pizza Sat and was charged $2.00 more then it usually was and I questioned the girl and she said it was 29.00 but the flyer that came with the pizza advertized the price as 27.00, the pizza was burnt on one side and there was no cheese around the edges. Guardi's is as good as it gets in the south suburbs! My (sicilian) family and I rate pizzas on "our" scale of 1-10 and Guardi's gets a 9. They're sauce is great, not sweet, but savory. They have an awesome crust, a crackery consistancy, but not too thin and always crunchy (even in the middle. They're ingredients are fresh and never cut too small. They have great cheese and are very generous with it. If you are one to not like a ton of cheese, I'd ask them to go light on it. The cheese is always cooked long enough to give it that good golden color. Overall ratio of toppings to cheese to sauce to crust are perfection. Why a 9 and not a 10? I have had a couple pies that weren't 100% wonderful, but that is once in a blue moon and I am probably being to rough on them anyways. Also, I am optimist that thinks there is always room for improvement in the world of pizza! This place is my absolute fav! read more

Pizza was just OK at best. Couldn't even taste the mushroom in the breaded mushrooms, seemed like all breading. Was told delivery would be within the hour. After 1hr 10min I called and guy who answered was very rude. He said it was in the oven and would be sent out when its done. No apologies or anything. Ended up taking about 1hr and 35 min. Ordered our pizza at 4:30pm on a Sunday. Was told it would be an hour. Called sometime after 6pm (hadn't arrived yet). Was told it just came out of the oven and they would be delivering our food in 10 minutes. Waited the 10 minutes then received a phone call from the driver stating they couldn't find our apartment so they left it downstairs in the hall. Who does that?!? We called the restaurant to report the driver and was told, "Well, it was the owner who delivered it." That makes it ok? They then tried to give us $ money off our NEXT order. There will NEVER, EVER be a next order and I'm going to every website I can find to let everyone know how horrible they are. read more

Best thin crust pizza in all of south suburbs. My man Guardi doesn't disappoint. Ingredients are the key.

I searched high and low for a good savory pizza in this area. Guardi's crust is so tender and crunchy - really fresh dough. And the cheese is amazing - tasty and cooked perfect, not half way. My favorite is the thick crust - its not too thick. My family likes the thin. I really enjoy the pizza and the service is super friendly. They treat new customers the same as the regulars. And they treat their regulars great! Even my dog gets treats when we pick up. I love supporting local family owned businesses. This place makes it easy. read more

I live in CA now but I used to live just a few blocks down from Guardis. We used to get pizza every Friday and absolutely LOVED it! I was just back home visiting this weekend and had to stop by for a pizza fix. CA don't know nothin about pizza-so I really enjoyed stopping in at Guardis. If you enjoy being treated like a hassle when you're just trying to order a simple meal, this is the place! Whoever answers the phone is a real pile of human garbage. On a handful of occasions, I was treated like I just interrupted the most important business meeting about world domination ever. Never a "hello" or "thanks for calling" or even a simple "thank you." Unbelievable how rude this dude was. One time he yelled at me for asking for something on the menu from their website that isn't even available. Well, ol' crabby McCrybaby, I didn't design your terrible website or upload wrong menu items. Another time I simply asked how their schedule was for delivery as I had a big order for a last minute get together to place, was told over an hour, I said, "Great, thank you!" And was promptly hung up on. I imagine this fossil of a human was growing impatient on having to wait on being a rude sack of turds to another customer, so he must have been dying to get back to staring down the phone in anger for the next call. If whoever was answering the phone like this reads this, go take some Prozac and learn customers fuel your business, in the meantime, enjoy your miserable life!
