I've been searching for years for crawfish at a restaurant that makes them as good or better than my family at home. This place is it! Everything we ate here (1st time to visit - wont be the last) was incredible! We wanted to try a bit of everything to see if Guidry's would be our new go-to spot. We had the fried pickles and boudin link to start, fried shrimp platter, boiled crawfish and shrimp to share for supper and we were not disappointed at all. Everything was hot, fresh and the fried items were crispy. The hushpuppies were amazing! Fries and dinner salad weren't great but they were just sides. Even the tartar sauce was awesome. I would recommend Guidry's to anyone, even over my all time fave, Pappadeaux's. Thanks for a great meal, you've got a lifetime patron in this Louisiana girl! read more

Would not recommend. Customer service and wait time is a joke! Wait time is 2-3 hours if you get lucky.

Went for a bowl of gumbo and a beer, waitress said they were out of the beer I wanted so I asked for a beer with the same price. Waitress came back 2 times after I originally ordered to see what type gumbo I had requested. Then when I got my check she had disregarded my request for a beer of a certain price and had ordered me one of the more expensive. If you are a party of two, you can only sit at a table for a party of two. They only have two tables inside that only sit two people. You can only sit at a bigger table if you want to share your table with another couple. The manager said this is their policy. We had to wait one hour and forty-five minutes for a table. The music is so loud we used earplugs. The boudin and crawfish were room temperature. The crawfish were not spicy and small compared to other restaurants.. The catfish bites lacked seasoning. They did not have tea. The waiter said the tea machine was not working and would not be serviced until Monday. Last year I gave them five stars. Out of the 6 years of going to Guidry's I have never encountered such poor service. Mainly by the hostess. She definitely needs an attitude check. We waited for almost 2 hours and then was told we could be seated outside immediately. Otherwise it was going to be another 30 minute wait. Slightly over priced compared to others, but one of the best boiled seafood restaurants. I go here for the boiled and fried shrimp and fish and of course their crawfish. They season everything to your liking. I mainly go for crawfish here when they are out of season though (because there are other places that are just as good now and less expensive in-season) and I'm dying for some fresh crawfish, even if they are small and pricey. Wow! This little gem in Deer Park is a keeper. Some of the best fried shrimp ever! Wayne got gumbo - sausage, redfish, chicken & shrimp! His only regret was not asking for the rice on the side. We went Sunday and it wasn't crowded. We stumbled upon this awesome Cajun restaurant just driving down Center street . OMG...everything was amazing. However, we were so full that we took more of it home and had it for lunch the next day. I loved the casual atmosphere and the waitstaff was great too! I am married to a Cajun who thinks all of his dishes can't be beat but even he said it's the best he's had in a long time. read more

I left the gym and stopped into Guidry's for a quick late lunch. The hostess sat me at a bar table. My server greeted me promptly and took my drink order. She returned with my drink, took my appetizer order and answered a few questions about the menu. I placed my order, then the appetizer arrived. Not too long after that, my food arrived. I had the stuffed catfish, gumbo and boiled shrimp, (yes, I was hungry) It was tasty and the temperature was perfect. I've eaten Guidry's quite a few times, but this time, the service was spectacular. Guidry's receives some negative reviews due to their staff being inattentive, but my server Shelby was awesome. I'm a former server/bartender and nation wide opening team member for Landry's/Joe's crab shack. As well as management, if I was still in the industry, I'd hire Shelby away from Guidry's. She's was an absolute delight! Thank you Guidry's from the great food, thank you Shelby for the excellent service!! read more

Tired of dealing with rude employees in the customer service industry. Sheila, the manager at guidrys is another one..apparently thinks she owns the place.. at first wouldn't let me contact the owner, but said she sent a message... If you're a miserable, angry person that can't handle a customers request without getting upset and raising your voice, perhaps you're in the wrong business. I have been to Guidry's many times over the years. But for whatever reason I have not been during crawfish season. First of all we had about a 30 minute wait but wait staff offered to get us drinks on 3 occasions. The service was attentive and friendly, especially considering how busy they were. The crawfish were excellent, we got spicy and they were the right amount of heat and spice. We will be back again soon. read more

We waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order and it wasn't even busy. I saw about 8 staff members standing around at the front and nobody came to ask us if we had been helped yet. It wasn't until my husband asked someone for help. Then we order 5 lbs of crawfish and they brought it out to us in 3 sections. First 2 lbs and then 1 lb and then 2 lbs. Wasn't sure why. It seems that they had to distribute the batches they were cooking amongst all the customers that ordered crawfish. I didn't like that they did this because we waited about 15 to 20 minutes for the next batch to come out. We have a baby so by the time we got all of our crawfish it had been at least 1 hour. That's not a fun wait when you have an infant. Crawfish was decent but not worth the wait. Not sure that I will go again. read more

I ordered over the phone , they took down my phone number and CARD number and waited outside for almost 1- 1 1/2 hour. I call and they say they lost the order and then while waiting we find out they lost another persons order . And on my order I had put down fried mushroom and a cup of gumbo , once I called back and they told me they couldn't find my order they also said they were OUT of the fried mushroom and cup of gumbo , so I didn't even get to get that . Horrible experience! I ordered on the phone so I wouldn't have to wait so long for my carry out order and still ended up waiting 50min - 1Hr at the restaurant for only 2 more things that completed my order. By the time I got my crawfish and crab legs my other food was already cold af! that is ridiculous! People don't want half warm half cold food to eat when they get home. Not to mention I waited a bit before I took off to pick up the food. From Pasadena to deer park is easily a good 15 or 20min. So tell me if that wasn't enough time to prepare a whole ass order, almost 2hrs to get some cold food. Never again . If you love crawfish, then this is going to be your place. Besides having some of the best crawfish they have multiple levels of spiciness. For those that are seeking the superhot crawfish you can find it here. If you're not into crawfish don't worry they have great selection of shrimp as well. There bar is lacking someone you cannot get a dirty martini, but if you're just looking for beer and simple drinks then you'll be OK. The manager is definitely there to be of help to you. Okay, it took me a year to come back after a bad experience here. Second visit was great! The crawfish was tasty and amazingly spicy. Mmmmmm! We ordered Dr. Pepper and it came in HUGE cups which was great since the crawfish was so spicy. They are getting four stars only because their French fries leave so much to be desired. They are in last place in the fry race. I definitely want to come back to try their other Cajun food. read more

Wonderful cajun style crawfish! The flavor is boiled in the inside and not just sprinkled on top! Word to wise, they are spicy! We got the level in the middle of their spicy meter and it was pretty darn hot, but oh so good!! Their fried shrimp are also very fresh and huge! Had to come try this place after coming by and being told there was an hour and a half wait the week before(that I chose not to wait for). I figured all these people can't be wrong right? The minimum order for crawfish is 2 lbs, which is kind of retarded since they do not cook your crawfish to order. I could understand if I was taking up boiling space with 1 measly pound, but these guys just scoop out what you want from a giant vat of "cooked I don't know when" crawfish, so what is the big deal? Crawfish come dry, just seasoned from the boiling pot, which does taste pretty good. I was offered butter and seasoning on the side, so I added the cajun seasoning to my order and mixed it around. Taste was pretty good overall, but I had several inedible crawfish in my order that were cooked dead(straight tails), and about 25% of my order was very very small crawfish with soft shells. My biggest beef was that I think they weigh your crawfish after they have been boiled, meaning you get way less than you think you are getting. Either that or I got hooked up super fat at the Cajun shack, where my 1lb of crawfish was easily as much or more than my 2 lbs at Guidry's that cost 50% more. The Boudin balls were good, could have had a more substantial crust but it was mostly crunchy and the filling full flavored. This item is worth getting, only $1.50 and the size is pretty large. Bathrooms were pretty raunchy, 4/10. Please fix this, one single stall restroom for a place that gets packed. It smelled of feces, the soap dispenser was broken, and it was hot despite the 55F degree temperature outside that day. Overall, decent grub, good service, and if I didn't mind spending $25 per person or more to get a good portion of crawfish I would come more often. read more

Don't attempt to eat here unless you have a group larger than 5 people. My wife an I waited an hr and a half for a table and the hostess ignored us seating only the larger groups first. We go here often. I think it is the best flavored crawfish I've ever tried. This last time, they were so packed that the crawfish did not have much time to absorb much heat. I'm sure they were throwing them in and pulling them out versus them sitting and getting hotter. Also, had the fried crabfingers. Very good. Their andouille also is the best I've tasted around. A lot of places try to pass off cheap sausage in their crawfish that lacks flavor. Not here. read more
