This was my first time at the Aiea location. It's a nice, clean, and small restaurant. We had like 6 people + a baby in our party, and the staff there were so kind to us and very accommodating! They had no problem with moving tables around or combining tables. Just by being a huge party too they didn't once complain. Just note though, 6 or more people, then automatically charge like 15% gratuity already. I had the lobster sensation roll. I tried the one at Kalihi before, which I enjoyed, so figured I'd give it another go. I love how the crab wasn't as mayo-ny. It's not salty either, and there are huge chunks of the lobster. You might have to search for a space. Guieb is a small mom and pops kind of cafe. But everyone in Hawaii knows thats the best kind of place to eat. As you enter, there is about 9 tables. Kinda tight. BUT the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable about their food. They serve breakfast all day. Kinda cool. That being said, we came here for lunch. My wife had the crab salad, crab cake wagu beef Loco Moco. I had the bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries. It was very good. The order took little on the longer side. But we were ok with it. Long overdue revisit, this time with the hubby = even better ube mascarpone pancakes! I may have been a little nit picky with my last review, but on this second visit, I thought the ube mascarpone pancakes were on fire. The ube flavors stood out a bit more this time, like a beautiful balance of ube and creamy mascarpone flavors. The flavor is definitely a lot mellower than that other ube pancake place in Honolulu, and it reminds me of my uncle's ube halaya recipe. My husband ordered the bao bun benedict, the same dish I mistakenly ordered as takeout from the Wahiawa location and ate 30 minutes later. This time, the dish was warmer and flavorful. I'm no Eggs Benedict connoisseur, but I thought the eggs were cooked nicely, and the char siu was moist. During our stay, Uber Eats and Doordash orders were flying off the kitchen, with one order containing nothing but boxes of the mauka and makai loco moco! I'd still love to try any of their prime rib dishes (prime rib loco moco, anyone?), since they seem to sell quickly! I'm curious about their poi mochi waffles, chicken and waffles, and of course, their mauka and makai ("turf and surf") loco moco! This Guieb Cafe is extremely small, so I highly recommend arriving at opening or making reservations. Who doesn't love a great brunch spot?! I grew up in the Pearl City/ Aiea area and have wanted a good brunch spot to go to for forever! A fee spots have opened up in the last so many years, but I must say that Guieb Cafe, by far, is my favorite! I've been to the Kalihi location, and that was great as well, but this one's closer to home, so that makes it even better! Located in the Harbor Court Shpping Center, they have a convenient spot right at the entrance so they are clearly visible. There's tons of parking, and the restaurant itself is nice and cozy; not super big or cramped. I think there's just enough seating to be comfortable and have great service too. The menu here is awesome! There are so many unique items and choices, and so many options for customization. The service here is great and accommodating, and prices are very decent too! My husband loved the Mauka to Makai Loco Moco. The burger with the crabcake was amazing, and he really lived it with the garlic fried rice! I had the Bao Bun Benedict with Char Siu pork belly, hoisin sauce, cilantro, cucumber, poached egg, and hollandaise. Loved it! Our kids loved the purple sweet potato waffle! And so did my mom, who ordered it as a chicken & waffles plate. No complaints here, whatsoever. We lobe Guieb Cafe, and will be back for more family brunch days. read more

A tucked away place with amazing foods! I came here to try out their prime rib loco moco and they did not disappoint. Their parking is shared amongst other businesses. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The inside isn't big. Maybe about eight 4 seat tables. I didn't get to taste the Nutella French toast but my sister noted that the nutella was spread evenly throughout the toast which made it easier to eat rather than a thick coating. The Poi mochi waffle needed just a bit more "poi" flavor. I felt it tasted like mochiko flour with no sugar. The ube pancakes were DIVINE. I wanted to take the ube butter home. Sweetness level was perfect. Especially for my diabetic mom who can't have alot of sugar, she almost ate all the pancakes herself haha. And now- prime rib loco moco for $18 was SO WORTH IT. I was lucky that they had prime rib @ 10 am. They said it usually gets run out or comes out by 12. A big slab of prime rib on a bed of fried rice and gravy. YUM. You need to try this place. I recently had lunch at Guieb Cafe's third location in Aiea. Located near Cutter Ford on Hekaha Street, the family owned restaurant serves all day breakfast and lunch. They offer dine-in with table service as well as take-out. I love that they take reservations too because lunch can get busy. I wanted to try everything on the menu, but I settled on the braised short rib benedict and the ube mascarpone pancakes which our server recommended. She was right, the ube pancakes were fluffy, tasty, and just the right amount of sweetness. I would definitely order them again and again. I loved my benedict as well! Ordered delivery through Grubhub and despite the fact that the food wasn't fresh, ribeye was super soft! Medium rare as requested and still warm. Needed more salt but that's just per my taste. Went back on 3/13 to try their new menu & my favorite breakfast pancakes! The new French dip uses the same bread for the lobster rolls. The thick slices make it super filling and the meat was flavored nicely. It felt a little too oily, but I think it's one of the better French dips I've had around the island. The Oreo cheesecake pancakes weren't as sweet as the first time I've had them, which made it so much easier to finish. The first time I had them, I had one pancake and then ate it sporadically throughout two days. This time I found myself craving it throughout the entire day. read more

Oh Guieb Cafe, why must your food be so delicious? I've been to their Kalihi location and was blown away by their menu selections and since this Aiea location opened, I've been wanting to check it out. And here I am now. Parking is plentiful in Harbor Center (hint: it's the area behind Cutter Ford) I'd recommend calling for a reservation as it tends to get busy and the wait times may be long and may seem to be extra long when you're looking at their menu. I got the Fitness omelette with adobo fried rice. The veggies in the omelette tasted fresh and the adobo fried rice actually had some nice chunks of meat to it. This is their 3rd location and I must say... I am a fan! So glad they are closer to home now. This location is literally a gem. When you first drive up, you will see it on the left hand side. You can't miss it. From the outside it looks like no one's here, then you walk in and boom, lol this place is packed! Thankfully there was one more table for my family and I to sit. But beware, the tables are a little on the smaller side. I did notice a lot of people were picking up to go. But let me tell you, it's worth it. I ordered their mauka to makai moco and wooooowww there was a crab patty on top of my beef patty! It was soooo good! I also added fried rice to my moco. My daughter had their chicken and waffle and Their waffle was not soggy, it stayed crispy! Surprisingly! Had to come back again for brunch and was looking forward to having their Ube pancakes once again. I noticed they updated their menus and was told that they serve breakfast and lunch all day. The Ube pancakes were amazing as usual and everybody enjoyed it as well. One of us tried the Philly cheesesteak omelette and was told that it was delicious. Lunch in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawaii... Having been to the original location of Guieb Cafe in Kalihi, I wanted to go to the Harbor Center location for comparison. When Tanyce wanted to meet for lunch and asked for suggestions, I answered, "Guieb Cafe at Harbor Center"! She agreed and did some scouting. When she went, she walked in and sat at the counter. It was crowded at the time, so she made a reservation for us! Good move! When our day to meet arrived, I went early to get better parking (it's a free shared lot) and start taking photos. The place was packed. There's counter seating for five people and six tables of four people each. There was a clipboard with seven names already on it. I saw our reserved table and asked if I could sit down... Yes! Browsing through the menu, I selected the Lobster Sensation Roll with a green salad. Tanyce shared her Sweet Potato Fries which were light and crisp. I don't think I'd get the Lobster Sensation Roll again because the slices of onions were overpowering. I had to remove them. I liked the chunks of lobster, but can pass on the celery fillers. The green salad was okay. Maybe the air conditioning could be better. I realize that every seat was taken, so, maybe the air was being used up quickly. The staff were really working hard... They're awesome, efficient, and welcoming! read more

Guieb has been on my radar for a long time since they only had 1 location open in Kalihi. Now up to 3 locations, I finally visited the new Aiea location. It's a really small restaurant, maybe 6 tables or so. There is a nice assortment of offerings and I heard the server tell someone else they offer the whole menu for breakfast. I wasn't too hungry so just got the plain waffle. It had a light crisp on it and a few berries. My Dad had the fried rice loco moco and I tried and liked the fried rice a lot. Portions are fairly large. We went on a Sunday morning and many of the surrounding businesses were closed so there was tons of parking around. Our server was attentive, sweet and helpful. read more

Firstly, I want to say, the staff is extremely welcoming and sweet. I placed an order late last night to pick up the following afternoon and when I came into the cafe we were immediately greeted with a smile! Upon approaching the staff about my pick up order, we quickly realized I placed my order incorrectly and had it scheduled for tomorrow instead. The staff immediately offered to make the food for us despite the errors being found on my end only. I've never been treated so nicely and felt so welcomed. Great food, amazing service. Really enjoyed this bruch spot. Good filipino inspired dishes full of flavor. Generous portions too. FOOD: (~$12-20+) GET THE POI MOCHI WAFFLE WITH HAUPIA SAUCE (extra haupia sauce on the side). The texture was memorable. The haupia sauce was slightly runny and i am not too sure if this was on purpose because the chewy texture of the waffle just sucked up the sauce like a dessert sponge. What a moment, what a bite! We also got the New York Steak and Eggs, the Mauka and Makai Moco (oh that was good too), Braised Ribeye Benedict and the Ube Marscapone Pancakes. All good, not one regretable dish. PARKING: Plenty parking in the Harbor Court parking. WAIT TIME: I believe it can get very busy. I've seen so many friends post about this establishment on social media. Now that I live on the mainland, it's terrible that I have to wait until my next visit on the islands to try all the new food trends and establishments. Guieb cafe was one of my list of to-go places during my recent visit and they didn't disappoint. The establishment is really small so wait time may take time during peak times, however, for us, we waited no longer than 15 minutes. They aren't really kid friend as there is no high chair for the littles so either be ready to have your little sit on your lap or don't bring them at all. We ordered the ube mascarpone pancakes (3 stack), prime rib and eggs, side of toast, and adobo fried rice omelette with fish. All three dishes were delicious. My little one loved eating the pancake although for her, the toast won by a landslide. I'd definitely return again on my next visit but I'll leave my kid at home so I can fully enjoy the food. read more

This is one of those places where you can easily become a regular. It's a small shop in Harbor center with a big menu and a super friendly staff. Parking is plentiful in that center overall. Their menu is big and they have specials as well. I ordered the crab cake Benedict and it was super tasty! My only gripe is that the eggs were a little over cooked. But otherwise, everything tasted great. The service is super friendly and helpful there, even though they are super busy. Guieb Cafe has been on my to try list for a while, and finally gave it a try. Arrived for a late lunch and, unfortunately, they were out of prime rib. We were told that they sell out during their rush before 11am so gotta arrive early. Note - happy hour from 12:30-2:30 = 15% off your bill. Waitresses were very friendly. Greeted everyone as they walked through the door. Hubs could never pass up chicken and waffles - extra $3 for the poi mochi waffle with haupia sauce. I decided to go with the oxtail and substituted the rice with salad. That waffle with that sauce was yummy and tasted so buttery! Next time, I have to try the sweet potato waffle. Hubs really liked his chicken - crispy and flavorful. The oxtail broth was also very flavorful, although I would've liked more of the veggies. We enjoyed our meals. Definitely the food hit the spot for the cravings and was a good deal for what you get at, at what price. We had the taro waffle, lunch prime rib, and loco Moco. Searching mochi waffles is what first got me here, I was excited to try the taro waffle expecting the taro to have given it a chewy, crispy texture. The texture was not what I was expecting, it was a traditional fluffy waffle with taro in it. Almost tasted like poi. The prime rib was a good size for the cost. Could tell it was the lower quality cut with the fat and chewiness. It definitely could have used some more seasoning. The lunch sides were more like dinner sides with the pre rib and eggs having fries, like lunch. The loco Moco was pretty good, the only thing was unlike the prime rib it was too salty. Their super purple ube pancakes definitely caught my attention. I love trying ube goodies so I had to try Guieb a try. I decided to do take out and ordered: - Ube marscapone pancakes - they were filling! The order came with three huge pancakes covered in the ube sauce. The sauce had the right amount of sweetness and you could taste the ube flavor. The pancakes were also nice and fluffy. - Crab cake eggs benedict with hashbrowns - I love eggs benedicts so I had to try their crab cake eggs benedict. The hashbrowns were a light light but they were tasty and very crispy. The english muffin for the benedict was soft. I really liked that. I hate when I get benedicts and the english muffin is tough to cut through. The crab cake itself was a tiny bit mushy but it still tasted very delicious. You could see the lumps of crab. - Banana pancakes - There were also three huge pieces of banana pancakes. I definitely recommend Guieb cafe! I was looking for a breakfast/brunch spot in the Aiea area after I found my original option was closed. But, I'm so glad I tried Guieb Cafe out! Tucked behind some buildings in a complex off of Kamehameha Hwy, it's not something you'd spot while driving on the road. However, parking is plentiful! I walked in with my aunt and because it was just the two of us, we were fortunately sat at the bar right away. They were packed and the larger groups right after us were given wait times since there were no tables available. Between the two of us, we ordered the Palehu Short Rib, Mauka and Makai Moco, and Ube Mascarpone Pancakes. Right of the bat, I can tell you that is was definitely too much food for two people - their portions are generous. But, everything was so delicious I'm glad I was able to try it all! Crab cake and burger patty as a loco moco was something I had never tried and I enjoyed it so much! It was so good, I couldn't even be mad that the eggs were sliding off the top when it was served (LOL). We came here on a Sunday morning, closer to noon, anticipating a long wait. But the employees worked fast and sat us down right away. The Aiea location is fairly small, but the staff functioned efficiently. For something savory, we tried their country fried steak and mauka and makai moco. We opted for the adobo rice instead of the white rice on both dishes. Their adobo rice never fails so we couldn't skip out on that. The makai and mauka moco was an interesting take on the loco moco, implementing krab patties and wagyu beef patties. I asked for gravy on the side so I can get a good taste of their krab patties which were very garlicky and very good. Their country fried steak tasted like a typical country fried steak, but not salty at all. For something sweet we tried their Oreo cheesecake pancakes. You can really taste the cheesecake. It was like I was eating an actual slice but in pancake form! I also had an order of their hot Kona coffee, which was very good, flavorful, and rich. It looks like they are always refreshing their menus and bringing something new to the table. They played island music in the background which really added to the island brunch vibe.
