This place really is a 4.5/5! So good. Ambiance: Modern with a beautiful backdrop. Located walk distance to Angel Stadium. My only complaint is that parking may be difficult during rush hour. Service: Order at the cashier and they bring the food out to you. Everything was served very fresh and hot. - The Nehari Roll: 5/5 Full of flavor with the right amount of crispiness. It even had a little kick for spice level. I will say it seems a little on the smaller side because it wasn't very filling, but nonetheless, I ordered other items also. - Masala Fries: 4/5 - Chicken Samosas: 4/5 Could be better. Chicken was a little flavorless. - Potato Samosas: 5/5 I'm usually a meat only girlie but the potato was surprisingly better than the chicken. - Green Sauce:5/5 - Raita: 4/5
So yummy! Such a fun twist on Pakistani food, the wraps are so good and made me question why I never did this with paratha before! The meat is great and the service was top tier! It was our first time and they allowed us to try all the meats so we could decide what to get. Ambiance is great as well! Cute place with cute decor! We're way too full to try the drinks but will be back to try them and the dessert! Great find!
I always pass by Asian, Mexican, and Italian restaurants while I'm driving. So when I saw a Pakistani restaurant, I knew I had to stop by. I dropped in on a Friday evening and found ample seating for my party of two. No line so I just went up and ordered a spicy bowl with Karahi chicken and a fountain drink. Minimal interaction with the staff, but they were friendly. I appreciated the nice personalized decorations of Disneyland and Angel's stadium with a touch of Pakistan along the walls. Like the food itself, it really brings a touch of the owners' culture to Southern California. The food were brought to us and I mowed down the bowl like there was no tomorrow. The spices really added a nice kick to the rice and chicken. I believe they called the sauce a yogurt? But that one was a nice touch. The fries also had some seasoning that I really appreciated. I'm glad I stopped by. The portions and sizes were very appropriate.
Biryani Boys in Anaheim had some really good drinks, honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Flavorful, refreshing, and well made. The food itself was good, but the portions felt a little small for the price. It did come off slightly on the stingy side, though I do understand that food and grocery costs have gone up everywhere, so I'm trying to be fair about that. One thing I really appreciated was that they have their own parking, which makes a big difference in Anaheim and takes away a lot of the hassle. Overall, a decent experience with good drinks and convenience, just wish the portions matched the pricing a bit better.
Great food and really great service in a fast casual setting. This was my first time here and the hostess gave us samples of their most popular protein options so we could try. You order by choosing your entree (bowl, wrap or burger), your choice of protein and sauce. I got the bowl with biriyani, karahi chicken, and green sauce. Super good. The chef also gave my group a complimentary burger and fries, both were also delicious.
Sorry to say but this place missed the mark. Was excited after reading about this place and their story. Staff was friendly but it took 30 minutes to get our food. Hopefully they change things up in their new location. In my opinion the flavors resembled more of Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine than Pakistani. Nothing about the briyani bowl made me think this was something I'd order in Pakistan.
We were craving for some kebabs and Biryani and found BB via a quick yelp search. This is nicely tucked in a residential/retail building. The place was clean and well kept. We got the Sindhi Biryani , a Wrap (malai kebab) combo and a Samosa. Biryani and Wrap were good. Not great but good. Samosa was a huge let down. Felt air-fried from a frozen pack. Service was very good. The lady at the counter was really nice. Overall , not bad.
Seriously very good Pakistani food. I have nothing but good things ti say about every item I had here when it comes to the flavor and the accuracy of how it tasted back when I visited Pakistan. Even though it's called Biryani Boys, I had to try their Chapli Kabab Burger just because it's been such a long time since I have had it. I made it a combo with their Masala Fries and Premiun Drink Upgrade to Iced Kashmiri Tea. The food was ready and the flavor did not disappoint at all. Great job on the balance of flavors and spices and the Kashmiri Tea was phenomenal. It was so good I had to try their Falooda which was one of my favorite desserts. Once again it didn't disappoint. Now unfortunately while everything was great here. The only thing I would say is the portions were very small the burger looked huge in the picture but it is a smash burger so it's very small and so was everything portion wise. For $11 just the burger itself it might be something after the first time people may wonder it's worth. Same with the Falooda. It was so small and not even filled to the top that while I enjoyed everything so much, I can see why the place wasn't packed during peak hours. The ambiance is nice and I loved the art work inside. Will still return but the portions need a reality check if this place wants to survive these critical times.
Wow what a fun concept and delicious biriyani! We got our food delivered and everything was delicious. We had a Malai chicken wrap and added the green sauce and chilies. The chilies are spicy warning! The pickled onions and flavors all inside the fluffy wrap was delicious. We also tried the gulab jamon cheesecake which was tasty. Middle did taste like a gulab jamon an was a fun fusion dessert. We also had the potato wrap and was so impressed that a fried potato was able to have so much flavor.
Tried 2 biryani bowls and a roll ... all items were excellent. Service was great - they let us try samples of each protein so we could choose the right spice level before ordering. My favorite was the Karahi chicken.... If you like spicy, the nehari was great too. Atmosphere was very nice - clean, relaxed/casual vibe with cool decorative art/murals on the wall (see pics). We also had the mango and mango/guava lassi which were also flavorful and balanced out the spices nicely. Overall highly recommend and will be back again.

Yummm this place was so good. You order at the counter either the self-order kiosk or with staff. You pick your rice, protein, and sauce. We really wanted to try the Sindhi but they ran out. However the Pulao was great. The chicken Karahi was perfect and really want to try the other ones. I do think the sauce containers are way too small and could be slightly more flavorful, and I wish it came with more of the vegetables. But overall I would definitely come back here and try out the other items.
The biryani is delicious. Spicy just how I like it. If it's too spicy had some yogurt. Service was quick. The restaurant has a nice patio if you eat there. We ordered the Palau chicken and the Karai chicken biryani bowls. For desert the gulab jaman cheesecake. We took ours to go. Definitely a fan and will go back again and again.

Food is always so good and flavorful! Lots of spices and a variety of flavors- salty, savory, pickley... they have it all. They also have sweet treats like mango lassi which is also good and cooling after the spicy food. Being 100% honest, the people make the place even better. Every time I've come in, the people working are so generous and hospitable- offering insight and even samples for their food. The inside is also super nicely decorated and the music is "vibey" too (my bf's exact words). They moving locations to Garden Grove, but I have no doubt that their new location will be just as amazing (and probably more amazing as well). Anaheim will miss you so much!! read more

WOW!!! I love everything I tried here - so flavorful and delicious! First time trying Pakistani food!! It's been a while since I'm so happy with my whole order when dining out! Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back! read more
Biryani Boys is right on the corner before The Grove in Anaheim, and let me just say this little spot is a gem. I've been twice already, which says a lot, and the first time I ordered the Malai Spicy Rice Bowl. And the spice? It was spicing. In the best way. So flavorful, bold, and the kind of heat that makes you happy instead of crying in regret. We also tried the chicken samosas, and even those had a little kick to them. 10 out of 10. My husband ordered the Nehari Spicy Rice Bowl and it was absolutely delicious. So good that I immediately thought, my out of town spicy food loving family would devour this. Fast forward to them coming down for Monster Jam, we made them stop here before the show. Zero disappointment. Plates cleaned. Silence at the table, which is the universal sign of good food. On our second visit, we tried the wraps. I was expecting something pita style, but it came in this flaky, pastry type wrap that I genuinely do not know how to describe, other than it was hands down one of the most delicious things I have had in a long time. This time I toned down the spice and got the sauce on the side, which made it super refreshing and still very filling. The staff were amazing. The cook was incredibly kind and even let us try the potato samosas and the masala fries, which were out of this world good. My family loved their bowls and that signature spice kick. What I really love is that you can customize your spice level. Whether you want full heat or something mild, they have you covered. They even have a children's menu, which was perfect since we had three kids with us, including my one year old son, who happily devoured the potato samosa. Yes, my toddler has taste. Everything was very clean, the energy was warm and welcoming, and it felt relaxed, not rushed. It is great for families, spice lovers, and vegetarians alike. We will absolutely be back. read more

This spot brings a lot of heat and great Pakistani flavors to California, and it's fantastic. The restaurant itself has beautiful murals that represent Anaheim and Pakistani pride, and the color scheme, decor, and furnishings tie everything together. In terms of service, it was fantastic. We got there right when they opened, and the girl who helped us out was very kind and inviting. She kindly walked us through how to order and made personal recommendations as well as suggestions on spice level. Generally speaking, she was very friendly, brought our food to us, and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. I got one of their biryani bowls - I got the malai chicken and biryani of course, I can't remember exactly what type of rice I got. I did get the yogurt sauce with everything though, and that really helped control the heat for my poor spice tolerance. The veggies were also fresh and flavorful, I even ended up eating my friend's veggies. Additionally, the portion was substantial enough for me to save half for later. My friend got a box with the spicier protein and biryani options. They also got a mango lassi. The lassi was alright. Another great halal spot. read more

My partner and I have had the pleasure of going to Biryanis Boys twice after seeing them on Instagram and passing by a few times while in Anaheim, and all I'm saying is don't wait like we did!!! This place is fantastic, the flavors are truly Pakistani; that karahi is delicious and the chapli and nehari are also quite tasty. We also had the samosa chaat and rose guava lassi which were also fantastic. Second visit we got to try the chai shake and the karahi masala roll which were all bomb as well! Vibes are very chill, love the cute murals as well as the couch seating. Also shoutout to the owner during our first visit, when we said it was our first time he had us sample all the meats AND gave us a cheesecake on the house! Talking to him, we could tell the passion for the food and the restaurant were definitely there. PLEASE give them a try and support this place, you won't regret it!!! read more
Never had Pakistani food before and now I can't wait to return! Muhammad was super nice, so friendly and so patient explaining the menu to us. He offered samples of the proteins and asked about our spice tolerance and recommended what was best for us and yes we enjoyed all his recs. We really liked their Chapli Kabob bowl that was like a burger patty with a little spicy kick on top of a bed of rice and cucumber salad. The plate combo comes with 2 proteins (picked Malai Chicken and Chapli Kabob), cucumber salad and rice with potato. The servings are huge in nicely designed packaging. Even their dips are delicious and complements the meats so well. All halal. They are located in an apartment building on State College x Katella and walking distance to the Angels Stadium. The restaurant is clean, spacious and has a nice patio. We will definitely return to try the other meats, learn more about Pakistani dishes and order their pistachio dessert and Dubai chocolate! read more
Wow! I was at in event in the area and discovered this hidden gem there's free parking in the apartment garage in retail spots. I didn't know what to expect, but they blew my mind! The space is large with plenty of seating options inside and outside. Upon walking in the staff was so kind and offered me samples to try everything before I order. The food was delicious and fresh! I loved everything that I tried but I ended up picking the Sindhi Bowl w/ Malai chicken and tamarind sauce and the Pulao Bowl w/ Chapli Kabob and green sauce. Portion sizes, price, and flavors were all amazing!!! Huge fan! Stop by if you get a chance I do wish they had dairy free chai options! read more
We are absolutely blown away. I don't think I have ever in my life said that about a fast casual restaurant or concept. But this place! First of all, conceptually, it's brilliant. Pakistani street food at fast casual prices, but made into familiar dishes. They make a fantastic chapli kebab, laden with coriander seed and chili and chopped onion, and serve it smashburger style, with cheese and both pickled onion AND fried onion (again, brilliant) on a potato bun. They serve it with french fries that they sprinkle with chaat masala rather than just salt. I'd eat my foot if it was fried and coated with a good chaat masala, so this is another stunning idea. We tried the samosa chaat, one of the few items on the menu that was straight up and not fusiony. Wife ate literally the whole thing, minus the two bites I managed to grab. ;) The mainstays of the menu are stewed malai/karahi chicken, chapli kebab, nehari beef, or potato kabob that you can either get Chipotle-style over their biryani rice, or as a roll in a paratha (burrito-like. This is a familiar concept in southern CA). They have chai, hot or iced, Kashmiri or karak. They're fabulous. They have mango lassi, a rose lassi, and a guava mango lassi, which leans almost milkshakey in its sweetness and texture. Didn't try the actual milkshakes, but I'm sure they're delicious. You might wonder why I think it's so brilliant, as it's just Pakistani street food. 1) I LOVE street food. 2) the execution. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. They got the food to my table fast. It tasted like real food, as in not garbage from Sysco. They intuited that it was our first time in the shop and gave us samples of things to help us decide. The owner said hello and when I went on and on about how great it was, he seemed grateful for the feedback. And he let us try the gulag jamun cheesecake!! YUM!! Then we begged him to open an outpost in Los Angeles so we could go weekly :-) What a find. Stunning restaurant, and within spitting distance to The Grove of Anaheim for a show. I will be back over and over again. This is the single best concept AND execution of a fast casual restaurant I've ever seen, from top to bottom to branding. Thanks, Biryani Boys!! read more

Ordered a beef pulao bowl here - lots of flavor and there's a nice kick to the meat. The mango guava lassi was also delicious and refreshing. There is retail parking available in the apartment parking garage free of charge. Service here is top notch. They gave us samples of their meats to try as it was our first time here. They also threw in a complimentary fountain drink as well! read more
The flavors here are BOMB! The pricing is also fair. Last week I ordered the Karahi Chicken roll ($9.99) and added green sauce, tamarind sauce, and raita on the side. The order comes with one sauce so I paid an extra 0.25 for each additional sauce, and I'm glad I did! I loved being able to vary the flavors on the chicken. But omggg the karahi chicken is the stuff of my dreams! The chicken is super rich, flavorful, and slightly spicy with a smoky undertone. My first bite and I was blown away! The $9.99 is super affordable but I think making it a premium combo for an extra $10 is a good deal bc the premium drinks (like the lassis) are normally about $7-$8 while the fries are normally $6. What a deal! Our cashier at the front was super friendly. She took the time to explain the different flavors to us and helped us decide on spice levels. We get excellent customer service every time we go. It really tells you they care. The nihari paratha roll was pretty good. I think when your 6 year old daughter tells you she loves it, there must be something they are doing right. The sindhi biryani with karahi chicken is also a favorite. Gahdang this place is so good. Every time I come I mean to write a review and forget but not today! Between me and friends we've had just about every item on the menu. All of it is excellent. We like it so much we had our annual Christmas dinner here last year and had multiple tables full, just chatting and sharing all the eats. The staff is so sweet and lovely. When we order they offer us samples of all the items (meat/sauces/rice) to make sure we get what we want and good news for the real whiteys - things that aren't too spicy. My go to is the bowl with pulao which is like Pakistani fried rice, topped with the malai chicken and the MILD JALAPEÑO SAUCE. When I say I would bathe in this sauce, I mean, up to my neck. I used to get the regular chai - worries that the Kashmiri would have too strong of a rose flavor. I tried it once and switched. The rose is so subtle but complimentary to the richness. It's rich, full of warm spices and the perfect amount of sweet. The samoas are very good. The chicken and the veg both. The chicken ones are wrapped in the most delicate paper similar to a wonton or lumpia. And the vegetarian ones have an incredible hand made crust. Perfect thickness, excellent filling. Vegetarians!! Rejoice!! The potato kebab will change you. Crunchy, creamy, lovely. Both rices - spicy and pulao, samosas. Potato burger. On and on options. This thing says I have to talk about the ambiance and guess what? It's pretty great. Cafeteria style tables, a bar for singles and cubby booth with pillows. Cute Anaheim mural and a super fun Angels cricket mural too. Outdoor seating too! Bathrooms are CLEAN and spacious but they have a real lock, not that push in button nonsense. Place to hang your bag. Free parking in the structure - look for retail parking spots. Just go. Order it all with impunity and enjoy. read more

Complimentary garage parking is available at the retail only parking spots. I stopped by last month for a weekday lunch. Biryani box ($15 + $1 up charge for nehari) - this came with a spiced cucumber and tomato salad, Sindhi biryani (spicy and aromatic long grain basmati rice ), and 2 proteins. I went with the malai chicken (yogurt marinated chicken) and the nehari (slow stewed pulled beef). The nehari was surprisingly bland and a little on the thin side. Even more disappointing was the malai chicken, no where as good as the one served at nearby Bundoo Khan. It didn't have much in the way of yogurt nor was it soft and tender. I'm not much of a biryani person but this wasn't very good. Also the quantity of proteins they give you for the price is small. Biscoff tres leches cake ($8.50) - This consisted of milk cake layered with biscoff and cream. It wasn't overly sweet which was a good thing and was comparable to other ones served at chai houses in the O.C. Kashmiri chai milkshake ($8.50) - The Kashmiri chai flavor was slightly floral but the milkshake was disappointing and so icy. I would avoid getting this drink all together, it was so bad! Overall, the interior has a modern and casual vibe with touches of Pakistani decor. Pricing is on the high side compared to what you get. If you're looking for authentic biryani, THIS IS THE PLACE! I placed a pickup order, and my order was ready fairly quickly. Hands down, the best biryani I've had ever. I got the Sindhi Biryani Bowl and it's a 10/10 in my books! It's spicy, savory, flavorful, filling and feels homemade. I'm honestly shocked at the portion size for the price, it's a steal!! Anaheim Chapli burger was good too, but feel like needs more meat to be filling. Masala fries are really good - worth trying! read more

I'd been wanting to try Biryani Boys for a while, and my husband finally brought some home as takeout. The packaging was impressive and well done, but the food itself didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was a bit too spicy and heavy on the masala for my taste. That said, I'd still be open to trying it again--maybe I just ordered the wrong dish this time. The concept is great though. Will update once I visit again. read more

I was visiting my son and we walked to this spot nearby. It's a delicious gem among a sea of corpo chains restaurants. The food was incredible and everyone was super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and had plenty of seating, indoor and out. I ordered a Potato Kabob Burger. It was amazing! The potato kabob was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The seasoning in the patty itself was great and it was nicely complemented with the pickled onions. My son ordered the Biriyani Box and selected Karahi chicken and Malai Chicken as his proteins. He loved it! To share, we ordered Loaded Fries + Potato Kabob and two potato samosas. These did NOT disappoint. The fries were bursting with flavor and they were perfectly cooked. So crispy and delicious. The samosa was very similar in terms of perfection. There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about Biryanis Boys. We arrived about 40 minutes before closing and every employee happily greeted us and answered any of our questions. They let us try samples of the meat, the chai and even hooked it up with some falafels. I did not expect such great service less than an hour before closing. They even put cartoons on the tv for the kids. I got the bowl with the Karahi Chicken. It was spicy but it was doable for me. For others, it might be too spicy for you. I really enjoyed my bowl. The chicken was tender, flavor and had a nice kick. I also got the pink chai and that was DELICIOUS. The portion of quite a lot. I could have shared my bowl with my wife. The inside was a tad bit on the darker end but had tons of lights in the inside. Sick Art murals inside as well. Again, nothing bad I can say about BB. Excellent service with excellent food. This place was so good! I was so happy to have a place in the Platinum Triangle that actually has good food. The spice was not too hot and very flavorful. The mango lassi was amazing. We got the family combo that came with 2 rolls and 2 bowls. They were both so good! The customer service was great, too! The girl at the counter was so sweet and attentive. Loved the vibe of this place. We tried loaded fries, biryani box and roll. We are amazed by the unique taste of loaded fries. The seasoning and flavours were spot on. I highly recommend to give it a try. Biryani was very flavorful. Meat was tender. Spice level was high but it can be blended with curd and salad. Frankie roll is a great option too. The flavours are perfectly balanced. Perfect for kids as well. Biryani boys hits the ideal combination of modern and cozy. There is lot of seating options and music here will create a pleasant mood. Do you like bold flavors? Do you enjoy good food? Then you need to come experience this for yourself. Not gonna lie the menu is a little overwhelming and you kind of have this umm moment where you are trying to decide which base, protein, and sauce. Ask for help or samples, they are excited to share with you. And if you are like me and can't do spicy, make sure to stick to mild. We are not medium people that spice level jumps. Stay mild. The raita sauce is bomb, get an extra that sauce needs to be slathered all over. And if you do a base of salad or bowl, order a flatbread on the side (maybe two for leftovers). Believe me it completes the meal. Didn't try the dessert, even though I was side eyeing it while ordering. If it's as good as the food, damn just order one you can always take it home. Hello, all of our biryanis will be gluten free including our meats other than the Nehari Beef. If there is a gluten allergy I would avoid our parathas (flat breads) which do contain gluten.
