I had a 9 AM appointment at Guy and Gals salon, arrived early, and waited for 10 minutes--only to find the shop locked with no employees in sight. No calls, no updates, just a complete lack of professionalism. Eventually, I received a text with a flimsy excuse about being stuck in traffic--along with the absurd question of whether I was running behind. Seriously? I had already left because my time is valuable. To make matters worse, they offered a free haircut as compensation, but why would I trust them again? I had an important business meeting the next day and was counting on this appointment, only to be completely let down. I'll never return to this salon and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who expects reliability and professionalism. Update: The issue was not just the delay, it was the complete lack of communication and professionalism. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but being left waiting with no updates and receiving a last-minute text with a weak excuse felt dismissive of my time. A more proactive approach in communicating with clients would have been appreciated. Offering a free service doesn't make up for the lost time and frustration I experienced, especially when it comes to business commitments. I saw a stranger with an amazing haircut in Gilbert Az. She was darling! She told me Amber at Guy and Gal Salon is her stylist. I'm from Minneapolis and I'm as picky as it gets. Nobody but one stylist has touched my hair in 15 yrs that I trust. However this haircut was so amazing I had to try her. Pure artistry before my eyes. She is lovely, kind, has an energy about her that exudes confidence in her talent. She took a complete disaster that looked like a very bad wig and turned it into a masterpiece ! In all my years I have never experienced shear talent with expertise of this level. If you are the gal sitting in your mirror saying" God I hate my hair" Amber is your answer. She looked at a photo and listened to my wants and needs and I got probably the best haircut I"ve ever had. This sweet little girl is a gem. I absolutely love her! Love this place! Naomi works wonders on my crazy curly hair! She has given me haircuts (which she is helping my hair come back to life after so much damaged) and recently just dyed my hair. Amazing job she did! Also she's my go to girl whenever I need my hair straightened. She leaves it so smooth and shiny!! I feel fresh and like a whole different person every time I walk out of here. She answers all my questions about my hair and always leads me to the right/best products to use. She's so helpful and sweet! Again my hair is super curly and I don't trust any one so easily with my kind of hair BUT Naomi. She always makes me feel comfortable and relaxed every time I sit in her chair. Everyone here is really personable. I have been here multiple times for colorings and cuts and I've never had a problem. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my hair and it's color so I'm glad that if there's anything I'm not super happy about, which will be minor things, it's easy for me to let them know and they're always glad to fix it. I, personally, go to Mock for my hair because with my particular kind of hair (Asian hair which happens to be extremely stubborn and fragile) she is very knowledgeable and knows what she is doing. I love guy and gal salon! Mock is so amazing sweet and kind. She always gets my hair right every single time! I am naturally a brunette but dye my hair blonde. The way Mock does it always lasts 3 months or so and ALWAYS looks natural. I continuously get compliments on my hair. She's that good. Cheryl is also amazing. Both of the girls cut my son's hair (he can be very difficult at times), they have such amazing patience and help him get through it with little to know tears! I've been getting my hair done here the past couple of months and every time I go in I never leave there disappointed. Mock is very fast and efficient! Not only that, but she always accomplish getting my hair the color and style I ask for. She is probably one of the few who was able to get my hair as light as I want it to be and or the color I want. My family has been going here to get our hair cuts and my hair coloring done by Mock for years. She knows how each of us like our hair cuts done so we just let her fix us up every visit. It was hard finding someone that could get our hair cuts right each time, but she knows us well.
